"If you need a quiet bush adventurous experience , in a secure environment, Haller Park is the place"
The 10km bike stretch was perfect...you get to spot some wild animals along the trail but they dont attack however caution is adviced...entrance charges to the park are ksh.250 for adults and kshs.350 for hiring out the bike, however riding in a group is quite a thrill. Theres ample parking spaces and well accorded clean lavatories. Enjoyed varied views of nature and manmade ponds as well as the ingenious workout spots distributed on the trails. Totally worth another visit.
This is a great forest park for picnics, walking, running and cycling where one can enjoy and immerse themselves into nature. The trails are well marked. It's also a lovely location for weddings or events since they have beautiful grounds and the canopy keeps the place cool. There is a restaurant as well and ample space for parking. It's right off the Mombasa Malindi Highway opposite Yuls.
Haller Park is a nature park in Bamburi, Mombasa, on the Kenyan coast. It is the transformation of a quarry wasteland into an ecological area. Haller Park holds a variety of plant and animal species which serve as a recreation spot for tourists and locals. Up to March 2007 it held the attraction of Owen and Mzee – the friendship of a hippopotamus and a tortoise.
A wonderful and pretty park with lovely animals. Great to visit with kids. Personally loved the butterfly pavilion and being close to giraffes. As non residents we paid around 1500 Ksh (Kenyan shilling) which is a super fair price. We went beginning of September on a Sunday and it was not really crowded. Please do not feed the monkeys!
If you need a quiet bush adventurous experience , in a secure environment, Haller Park is the place. Its environment is cool in the midst of high costal temperatures. Its affordable and has began to attract a rich bird life. I saw the famous Fish Eagle, common wattle eye, and malachite kingfisher among other bird species.
I love how the animals are kept in clean tidy areas that look like their normal environments and not in tiny cages. A variety of animals and fish and also the Butterfly Pavillion was interesting.. We didn't make it to the Giraffes because of time constraints but overall the place is quite beautiful.
Nice and quiet place to spend a few hours walking around the forest. This is not the same place as Haller Park, you need to buy a separate entry ticket (250 kes for residents, 600 for others). Some of the pics here are actually from Haller park, which is a bit more south.
Amazing place for fun activities such as bike-riding and a nature trail... Pocket-friendly, great customer service, awesome serene environment... You'll definitely enjoy the experience! You'll even get to see one or two animals (and no snakes, si that's super awesome!)
It’s a nice place for a Sunday afternoon walk, cool and relaxing, it’s best after a full weekend on the beach to come to nature to relax. It’s worth to buy something from the zoo for the giraffe! But be careful with the monkeys, they can steal them
Lovely place to walk or cycle. Can hire bikes and there are different routes and distances from 3km to 10km. Small area with picnic tables near the entrance overlooking a small lake where herons can be seen. Loved it!
I genuinely loved the walk , the place is very well kept and the staff there so nice. My favorite place was the butterflies and the information posted on the bulletin quite helpful. A good place for a nature lover
What can I say about this that isn't exciting? One advice, hi starting from around two thirty in the afternoon and see the feedings. That's when the animals come out proper and it's such great fun.
Haller park is a great place to be The view of animals, birds and butterflies shows us the richness in our environment,a place of education and a place where you can go to refresh your mind...
This place is beautiful and serene.. took kids with us, they had a blast feeding the catfish that live in the pond.. when you go take drinks and snacks for your self, and for the fish..
Great family outing or leisure walk park. Giraffes a meter from you, crocodiles, hippopotamus, butterflies and many others.Tortoise over 100yrs.
great place to be for those passionate about nature, birdwatching, nature walk. Best experience during giraffe, hippo and crocodile feeding.
