I views the show home (only one built and finished to specification at the time on the ground floor) I specifically asked for a balcony area which was to be closed off with fencing as confirmed by the salesman. This balcony and 'closing off' was important to me and sat at the top of the list of requirements when I was looking for a property to live in. The salesman at Lanes New Homes mentioned to me a number of flats within the estate that this was going to be applied to. So I chose one of those. Number 8. Now If I had known, that due to unforeseen or given reasons leading up to completion that this was not going to be the case then I would have chose one of the others which do. So ultimately I would have still invested in a property there. But now I'm left a little confused as to why I don't when it was stated very clearly to me that it was going to be closed off. The plans that were handed to me were out of date at the time and unclear and even they were updated in due course however no updated correspondence was ever sent to me nor to the other residence for that matter. So the plan cannot be relied upon at the time of the sale as to what you will be getting. The correspondence was minimal which led me to believe that what I was going to get was the same as what was agreed at the time of the sale. As they say in the auto trade industry what I saw in the show home is what I'll be getting. This is what the salesman said but this is clearly not the case. Now I'm led to believe that this is clearly a mis-sale. Now with regards to the Windows in the bedroom which are Velux Windows, if I showed you these said plans sent to me, I can assure you that no competent person with initiative will determine exactly what the facades of the building look like. I was led to believe and have trust in the sales team to get what I was being shown as. We were shown floor to ceiling Windows plus a balcony. Now we are left with two bedrooms that look like loft rooms almost like an attic. With no light. We didn't agree to this. But as we trusted the plans and their word we went ahead. No elevation plans were given to me so again I could not determine what type and size of windows are installed, and lastly, once again during the show home visit I was told that what I see is what I get. Again this is not the case. Ultimately I was led to believe that what I agreed at the sale is what was going to be constructed. This is clearly misleading, a misrepresentation, and possible deceit. This review is mainly targeted at Mr. Jake Holloway. During the process of selling my home and buying my next one I can genuinely say everything that could go wrong did, from time wasting buyers, to incompetent solicitors, to rogue valuation agents, the list goes on. What Jake was able to do however was make a terrible group of situations so much better. Jake is very polite, professional, but most all has common sense and thinks very logically. Jake was always accommodating, helped facilitate good relations between myself and the developer on my new home, and he went above and beyond throughout. He was available pretty much all the time, never shied away from work, and made sure that as his client my needs were always met. Thank you so much Mr. Holloway for all of your hard work and dedication. Whatever your compensation package looks like I’m highly confident it doesn’t reflect the amount of work you do.

Having only just begun my search for my first owned home, it has been a very pressured and difficult experience dealing with agents so far. Maria however, was understanding, clear and keen to answer all my (albeit probably obvious) questions. She made me feel at ease and not at all pressured to make any rash decisions so early in my journey. As a sales person myself, there is nothing more irritating than a pushy sales person attempting to force your hand with cliche sales patter and pressure techniques usually found in estate agents and used car salesmen of the 80s. Similarly, I know the feeling of having given amazing customer experience without credit given back where due. So, I would like to say thank you to the lovely lady for her help today, and to her seniors... she is to be valued and praised for making a usually grouchy customer feel at ease! Cannot recommend Lanes New Homes highly enough! Right from the first contact when enquiring about a property up until the day of completion (in fact further assistance after this too!) Helen was just great! She did everything she could to assist with the transaction and help keep things moving. Any requests or problems I had Helen always did everything to keep me updated and try to resolve them. She was always fast at responding to queries and kept in contact with me outside of hours too! BUYERS BEWARE! We bought a property from Harvey Construction using Lanes New Homes as the agency. We moved in over 6 months ago. They initially told us that the gate would be completed before we moved in and then push back giving us multiple dates where the gates were not installed. They have been ignoring us and giving us false dates. They are passing the blame onto each other and not collaborating with the residents of these properties. Please make sure that everything has been finished before buying any properties from them.

What can i say!!!!! These guys from start to finish were beyond reproach, there was no request too much, working out of hours to help us secure our dream home.
