Oh boy, where do I even begin with the Hanoi Old Quarter? It's like stepping into a wild and wacky time machine that transports you to a place where humor reigns supreme. If you're looking for an unforgettable experience filled with laughter and good times, this is the place to be! First off, let's talk about the chaotic streets. They're like a stage for a comedy show! The traffic here is an absolute circus, with motorbikes zipping around like they're auditioning for the Fast and Furious franchise. I found myself constantly in awe of the locals' incredible balancing skills, carrying everything from live chickens to towering stacks of furniture on the back of their bikes. It's like they're saying, "Who needs a clown car when you have a motorbike?" The food scene in Hanoi Old Quarter deserves its own stand-up special. I mean, where else can you find a street vendor selling crispy fried scorpions and worms? It's like Fear Factor meets MasterChef, and watching unsuspecting tourists muster up the courage to take a bite is pure comedy gold. And let's not forget the famous "Bun Cha" – it's so delicious that even your taste buds will be laughing out loud! The shops and markets in the Old Quarter are a hilarious treasure trove. From the endless stalls of knock-off merchandise to shops selling T-shirts with hilarious Engrish slogans, you'll be in stitches as you browse through their wares. And if you're lucky enough to stumble upon a shop with a funny shopkeeper, get ready for some unforgettable banter that will leave your sides hurting from laughter. One of the highlights of my trip was witnessing the ancient art of bargaining. Negotiating prices here is like a comedic performance, with exaggerated expressions, passionate hand gestures, and plenty of playful banter. It's like a game where both sides try to outwit each other while having a good laugh. Trust me, even if you don't end up with the best deal, the experience itself is worth every penny. Now, let's talk about the people. The locals in the Old Quarter are the true stars of the show. Their warm and friendly nature will have you feeling like a part of the family. They love to crack jokes, share stories, and make you feel welcome. If you're lucky enough to strike up a conversation with them, you'll find yourself in fits of laughter, and you might even leave with a few new inside jokes to share with your friends back home. In conclusion, the Hanoi Old Quarter is an absolute comedic gem. It's a place where laughter fills the air, and every corner holds a hilarious surprise. If you're ready to embark on an adventure that will tickle your funny bone and create memories that will have you laughing for years to come, make sure to visit Hanoi Old Quarter. It's a five-star comedy extravaganza you won't want to miss!

The old quarter area is the best place to stay during your trip to Hanoi as it is an absolutely perfect mix of shop+food+stay hub. You cannot get bored of this place at all. We stayed here for 3 days and had new things to do every single day. The shops sell all kinds of knockoffs and if you are good at bargaining, you are in for a treat! As vegetarians, we had no problems finding food here as there are tons of vegetarian options to explore here! Highly recommend the small Pho Chay and Bun Chay stall in a narrow alley way beside Bubbles Banh mi store. They are open from 7 to 11am only. Do not miss this place as they serve the best vegetarian noodle soup for just 20000dong!!!! absolutely delicious!

Tipp: Handeln macht viele Sachen billiger ;)

Hanoi Old Quarter is the tourist zone in Hanoi. Hotels, foods and beverages, shopping, historical landmarks, nightlife, cultural life are located here. Most of the places can be reached within walking distance. This district is located nearby the famous Hoan Kiem Lake. It is a very crowded place due to size of the roads are small where pedestrians and vehicles share the same way. On weekends, some parts of Old Quarter are closed for motor vehicles so pedestrians can walk freely in the middle of the road.
We originally knew very little about Hanoi. I thought of it as a mandatory stop because of the airport. It is so much more. It was a huge highlight on our trip to Vietnam. The old quarter is so full of energy and experiences. The sights, sounds, and smells can be a bit of a sensory overload, but we loved it. We had great food. Bought some very memorable things for a great price. Don’t skip this! Don’t minimize it. You will not regret spending a few days here.
It is one of the tourist places in Hanoi which is usually crowded with tourists from all over the world. The old quarter is old Hanoi with many restaurants, cafeterias, a lake, entertainment sections like puppet shows, travel stores, souvenir shops, and many more. The day and night are truly admirable here. It is quite a safe place even late at night.

Best way to explore Hanoi city of Vietnam. The old Street has a lot of places to explore especially the local Vietnamese food and the coffee. One must try their different varieties of coffees and there are a lot of cafes in each and every corner of the street. The street is also very good if you want to try Vietnamese tropical fresh fruits and local food.

Heb een groot aantal dagen in Old Quarter Hanoi doorgebracht.

It is my fist stay in this hotel. It is near many tourist spots in Hanoi. It is about 5 minutes by walk to the Pub street. I might come and stay in the is hotel again next time.

Life never slows down in the Old Quarter. The streets, sidewalks, markets and restaurants are full of people and things to do and see. And if you can cross a street safely here, (and you can with care and confidence), you can do it anywhere.
I could spend days and days here and not see everything! Be sure to check out the railroad track bars and ice cream places. There is a combination of western and local restaurants and lots of places to stop and get out of the heat.
Very lively with tourist. Lot of things to buy especially silk clothing. Would defenitely recommend to enjoy the vibe and shopping spree.
