Terrible now. Ordered a couple hundred dollars of food over a day before to pick up at a certain time the following day and waited over half an hour after scheduled pick up time. Even after phoning 30 minutes before scheduled pickup time and being told it would be ready on time. There’s no excuse for having over 24 hours to prepare the food and not having it ready, and then lying about the order being ready on time, only to be told once there that it’s not even close to being ready. It used to be good here….too bad.

Very good quality food. Portions are great, prices are reasonable and taste is excellent. Definitely my favorite Chinese food restaurant in the Ottawa area, but it's more geared for takeout (dining area is clean, but dated)

Super happy with this place, ordered 100$ worth of food and it was SO much, 5 people were full & happy. I normally don’t do reviews but if your just driving by this place you may not give it a second look but wow it was authentic delicious Chinese that is comparable to any Chinese restaurant in the city even super fancy ones! Would highly recommend trying this place out and their egg rolls & the fried noodles oh my gosh they were good!

This has to be our favourite place for Chinese food. It’s always hot, fresh, and tasty!! We’ve tried the next closest Chinese place in Findlay Creek and it is incredibly overpriced, and quality isn’t comparable. Happy Lam will leave your pocket and tummy full!! It’s def worth the drive!

Ordered enough food for 6 adults. We had the perfect amount. Breaded shrimp and lemon chicken were the highlights of the meal. Not much taste to the beef and broccoli. No white rice included with our order. I thought all places did that complimentary. We would order there again.

Some of it was fresh and good but the guy on the phone won't tell you any clues as to what's fresh vs frozen old and nasty. Like the BBQ pork in the canontese chow mein was fresh but the single order BBQ pork was ancient and inedible. The crispy beef should definitely be avoided as it was neither crispy nor beef.

The food here never disappoints. I have only had take out and the order is always exactly as ordered. The restaurant is a bit worn and dingey, so I have not dined in.

Overpriced and small portions. Also the 'scallops with Chinese vegetables' was a small container of cabbage, water and 2-3 tiny scallops. The fried noodles were hard and undercooked. The food was bland at best. Spent 60 bucks and feel totally ripped off. Not happy.

Favourite take out place by far! We drive an hour from out of town just to come eat here on special occasions. Everyone who works there is friendly, their prices are afforadable and the food is outstanding every time! The egg rolls are my favourite!

I have been here six times now and every time the food was well prepared, fresh and delicious. This is my go to place for Chinese food in the Greely area

The food is good but this is not a sit down place. It is perfect for take out. As far as Chinese food goes I have had better but if you live in Greely it is good enough for your Chinese food fix.

Some of the best Chinese food you'll ever find in Ottawa you'll find it the Happy Lam. It's at the corner of Highway 31 and Regional Road 8. Well worth the drive.

Bought once and the last time Food was very bland, not good at all compared to other Chinese foods in town. Threw out at least 50% of the food
