Happy Valley Reservoir Reserve is an area that Happy Valley Reservoir has opened to the public on December 11, 2021. There are newly built parking lots, public toilets and picnic barbecue facilities in its east, south and west. Wonderful trail here. Lots of wildlife. Really feels like a bush walk while you’re in here however beware that there are some trails that are closed and you will need to walk along the boundary (main roads) which is not quite as relaxing! Can’t wait til it’s all properly open, would love to give it another walk.
Great place to have day out.. or go for a walk or easy hiking. The reservoir is quite a good distanced walking trip. Lots of nature. And of course water on the way. I encountered some kangaroos on the way. There are few entrances in
Amazing for walking, kayaking and interaction with the local wildlife. Can refill your water near the car park. 1 x bbq here. Take your rubbish with you (no bins). Fabulous to bring overseas guests here …
Always a pleasure to walk here but need a few seats along the trials. A smoother Kayak launching area near main entrance would be good. Otherwise a great facility in all weather's. More
Picturesque location, nice for walks and bike riding, if you have a MTB. Lots of Roos to see and lovely spot for the family. Coffee vans on the weekend at the car parks too. More
What a great walk. We did the Shoreline Loop in a Anti clockwise direction. Starting at about 11am. I’d suggest this direction as there is more shade. The Dam wall crossing is
A great 12.5km walk around the reservoir. Well sign-posted and well maintained paths. So many people walking and riding bikes. A happy experience for us. More
Good walking trails, plenty of kangaroos and other wildlife, a number of toilets available and a coffee van at the southern entrance. More
Great place to take visitors. Our Norwegian family loved the serenity and most of all watching the kangaroos which let them so close see.
Beautiful place to go for a walk, whether you just want a short easy walk or a long walk, there's a trail for everyone! Beautiful views
Wonderful trails and some good paddling. If going onto the water the East launch is much better with a fixed jetty and launch point.
Amazing place for a walk around. Plenty of nature to see and hear. I'm very happy it's been opened to the Public. More
Decent walk but a few more sign posts would be good to differentiate between the fire path and walking tracks. More
Would love to see more wildlife around. But still a wonderful place for a walk, or day out...
