Update.... Have gotten to know the park's staff; maintenance crew. Chris, Buck, Joe as well as many others. Just haven't gotten their names yet. What a great bunch! It's under new management and they seem pleasant and easy to work with. Nice quiet areas to walk w/or w/o pets, and the entrance screams they are remodeling. There appears to be quite a bit of work going on but parts of the property are also screaming for attention. Hopefully these items are on a repair/remodel list. A lot of rain this year (flooding) is playing a major role in anything going on outside causing delays. RV section looks as if it was thrown together quickly (again rain may have been a factor), uneven ground with a lot of holes; open pipe's in the ground (police your area immediately if you take a spot and watch your step if walking around other areas). Old mobile home section that's grown over, still has water hookups exposed and they're almost the size of a man hole opening and about a foot deep, some are concrete, and if you dont know they're there? "Ouch"! "Within" the mobile home park? Needed are.... Enforced major rules for tenants. *Music descretion *Curfew's for children & teens. *Stay out of other tenants personal space/property (walking & playing in and around said space). *Walking pets in the same manner as well as making sure pet owners are cleaning up after them. *Respect for others! Enforced Safety Ordinances; *Speed limits *Speed bumps, numerous ones are definitely needed here. The area could be quite beautiful with its lakes and wetlands but its going to need considerable help as well as lifestyle changes from its residents. I live here and couldn't think of a better place to live whether your single or have a family to raise.It is pet friendly and scenic .It's living in the city of Chicago yet far away from all the hustle and busil .Public transportation available to get you to work if need be.Who would ever believe after a long day at work you can make it home to watch the sunset over the lake.Weekends I go fishing because there are plenty of back channels and ponds in the wooded areas around here and are on property.Convient enough to enter The state of Indiana 5 mins away which is cheaper for gas if you drive and on cigarettes if your a smoker All in all I've been here 7 years My rent and utilities are reasonable and worth every penny.I have wonderful neighbor's and I feel safe here No matter what time it is.If you need a repair done There maintenance staff is top notch Security is the best here because they know what belongs here and what doesn't So I sleep good at night.The office keeps you up to date and informed of all up coming events . The area also has a wide variety of places to eat in or order out,all in walking distance. .Good schools, Grocery stores,and churches of all donominations .Yes if your looking for a kickback and enjoy life place to live. THIS IS THE PLACE.

Would give it no stars if I could.. I wanted to make sure my facts were straight before I left a review. I applied for a unit at the beginning of the month when I called yesterday to check on my application status they told me I was denied. I have no evictions, judgements, repossessions and I make well over 3x the rent she told me my score was 509. I’ve downloaded every free credit report I’ve paid for experian and none of them are reporting that score NONE no where near that low. Which I knew already because I pay my credit card, self lender loan and car note on time. The application fee is 40 dollars per adult so we paid 80. Million dollar companies taking advantage of everyday working class families in need of housing will never sit right with me. Application fees are a scam because that same information they charge you to run you can get for free

A wonderful, Safe Community in the City of Chicago, Illinois. Harbor Point Estates Is the only Mobile home Park within the City of Chicago, and is a perfect community for Chicago City workers or anyone who wants to live in an affordable, extremely safe and secure community. Several of the Mobile Homeowners are active and retired law enforcement, mostly Cook County Sheriff's and CPD Police Officers. The Community also has several tenants who are City of Chicago employees, and appreciate Harbor Point Estates for its City of Chicago address, since all City of Chicago employees must live within the City, and it's Suburban atmosphere and sense of Security. If your looking for a Modern New Home, that is affordable, and in a safe community Harbor Point Estates Is the Place to look!

I have been here at H. P . E. , since 2008, moved in as a renter , first- the management running it then were super nice. Seems we had more then 3-4 new managers over the years. In 2012 I moved to the South side of the park, were everything is a bit more quite. The management team now who runs and handles H.P.E., are very nice to work with, If I call they will answer my questions. This was the first time I emailed them, I got a very quick response. They have improved this park so much, since I was a renter in 2008. I would recommend H.P.E., to anyone who is seeking to find a decent living. Debi Drog- Kitchens

I have been here twenty years and I truly love everything the staff is so kind and compassionate . Chris, the head at maintenance has been so great to me but everyone in our community one of his employees had a family emergency. I have never known such warmth and compassion. He gave him all the time he needed but at the same time always making sure he was loved (I am giving you a standing ovation right now). The office staff has been so helpful and kind to myself and my roommate. My backyard is lake powder horn. It is breathtaking. THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH.

I would give zero stars if possible. Management was nice until after we signed a lease. Since then, they flat out refuse to do repairs. I've had a ticket submitted to fix the black mold in my unit for months. They are quick to bill me $50 when they think my 8' x 10' patch of grass is too long, but refuse to fix any of the many things we have reported. The lousy security here drives by maybe 2x a week. Cars constantly being broken into and cars coming and going from units all night. I do not recommend this place to anyone!

My boyfriend and I were approved to move in to one of the new homes. We were very excited, we went in to sign papers and put our payment down and the manager there which is a female asked us in the beginning what we were able to afford and we told her, so when it was time to put the money she quoted us a different price and said that she never told us the price that she asked us in the beginning! I was very upset with that! I feel that she should have given us that price for the mobile home!

Not a good place to live too many issues. Stray Dogs, mice, poor service from management, and absolutely no space between these units! Used to be spacious, not no more! Their stacking up these mobile homes like sardines!! The ladies in the office have no concept of customer service at all! The office workers leave early and take way too many breaks! Use to be a beautiful place too live but not anymore.

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Says we have a club house and pool where? You’d love it here if you like being arms length from your neighbor. And don’t wait. You’d love it if you like seeing garbage pile up due to the park not being able to pay the waste bill that might I add if included with rent. But sure come here to be run over by bugs and animals because management can’t do their job.

My wife and I were looking at harbor point for months and were trying to get in contact about moving in. They never responded because their site is totally out of date and has been for months now. The only way we even found this out was driving all the way there and asking. If they can't update their website in a timely manner what else do they not do in a timely manner? Hard pass.

I moved to Harbor Point Estates in 2017 and love it here, but i must say since the new Office Manager Sharon took over, everything is even better. This mobile home park is great!!! Lots of friendly neigbors, we try to help each other and the ladies in the office , i can't say enough good about them. I expect to be around for many more years!!

Harbor Point Estates is accommodating to RVs, the rent is reasonable, and the community is quiet and peaceful. They just helped me out this past week by installing heat tape on my water hose, and I've had running water even with the freezing temps. This is much better than an RV park, and I am so happy I found it.

Currently renting here, Wendy and the other ladies in the office are warm welcoming and very helpful. I love my trailer, it's not raggedy, the insides of each home are worth the money you spend... You have onsite maintenance... I'm not gonna spoil the goods BUT come in if you're looking to rent or buy!!

I'm a resident owner for the last three years. Me and my family enjoy the peace and quite that this community gives to us. I can't speak and won't try to, about any body's else's personal experience.But I'm black and I've never had any problems with race in this community,nor with the land management.

Lived here 5 years the worst I've seen. Nobody respects your property, decorations and plants stolen from your front lawn and nobody gives a hoot no matter how much you try to keep your property clean and nice. They just rent to anybody nowadays. Don't care who you are.

Me and my girls have been here for 3months and we love it. The manager Sharon was very helpful in getting us in swiftly and the other ladies on the office have been very helpful. This has been a very safe and clean environment to continue to raise my babies.

The females at the front office have horrible customer service. There’s also so many rules in the complex that’s a lot of people are moving out. They have miscellaneous fees like $75 for not cutting your grass. Make sure you’re not late on

looks like we'll maintained trailer park. They run credit and background checks. They have some trailers for sale, most trailers look to be in good condition. Very difficult to buy from existing owners but can be done.

A great place to own a home at an affordable price! In this economy it is tough to settle down in most areas because of cost or location, but at Harbor Point you can have the best of both worlds.

Met some nice people the homes are very nice on the inside just as much space as a normal apt I think it was 3 bed room double wide really nice and clean you won't even know your in a trailer
