10 stars if I could! Every staff member was bright and welcoming, very happy to help us and create some conversation, but we'd like to give a special mention to Mia who was on the lobby reception on the evening of 28th Sept. She called my phone that night to check we were still planning on arriving (we had a late flight) and from the moment I answered the call I was met with a smiley and warm tone of voice from the lovely Mia, which made a fantastic first impression - once off the call I turn to my husband and said well that was a lovely greeting and way to start our stay! Then when we checked in after we went the wrong way into the bar rather than to the reception lobby (I'd suggest a 'top tip' email prior to arrival to mention of the two entrances and which one is advisable for hotel check in) so the staff member form the Gold Bar kindly walked us from the bar to the reception who was also very upbeat and helpful, and then we were greeted by Mia who instructed herself as the lady who had spoken to me on the phone. She maintained her great customer service and came across very genuine, giving us big congrats on our recent wedding and sharing the amazing news of an upgrade. We felt like we were treated so warmly and also luxuriously without it being impersonal. As tired as we were, we had to have a drink in the dtunning Gold Bar and were not disappointed, plus my partner was very impressed with the Bar Menu, he was loving the options given. I myself very much enjoyed the twisted Dark n Stormy with the in house made lime cordial. All in all, we said our stay was absolutely perfect, and we don't use that word lightly! My partner works in a pub hotel, and I run a jewellers and we both have (quite ridiculously) high standards, and the team met every one of them. Mia herself deserves the special mention, I would recruit her in a heart beat if her customer service, rapport and phone manners is anything to go by - thank you! We are already looking for an occasion to come back to Bristol Harbour hotel again, and if not in the coming months then our wedding anniversary next year will definitely be spent at the hotel. Praise, praise and more praise to each of you, and to the training/recruitment/supporting management as you've got some absolute gems working there.

Beautifully decorated, all the comforts, fantastic bed and attention to detail by leaving on a couple of cosy light for when we arrived late at night.
Food & drinks
Brilliant bar with a good cocktail selection for classic tastes. Breakfast was a mix of a cold spread out with cereals and some fruit topped muesli, as well as hot food to order. We had eggs royale and a mix of some pastries and muesli from the cold spread. All was great, tasty and service was swift.
Noteworthy details
The customer service and building itself is just wonderful.

I recently stayed here for three nights for my wedding and had a fantastic time. Food – brilliant, not only the wedding breakfast but all other food we had whilst at the hotel. Good quality, well cooked and some of the best food we’ve had for a long time. Service – everyone we interacted with were very professional and lovely. The staff working/running our wedding were amazing. Reception, housekeeping, spa and restaurant staff really helpful and friendly. Reception even put a card and some chocolates in our room for our wedding. Can’t fault the service we received at all. Room – we stayed in one of the Junior Suites, which overlooked St Nicholas Market building. The room was lovely and bright, nice big and comfy bed, twins pushed together, but I didn’t realise that initially. I got ready at the hotel for my wedding and we had 9 people in the room, there was enough space for all without getting to on top of each other. Spa – considering the space available for the spa, it’s well laid out and a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Hot tub, cooler pool, steam room, sauna and an area to sit and relax. You do need to book in advance and it’s 1-hour slots. This can seem limiting but as it is a small space you couldn’t and wouldn’t want lots of people in there in any one time. Wedding itself – this was perfect, everything ran to time, event staff were fab and nothing was too much trouble for them, everything set up as we wanted and honestly it was exactly the wedding we wanted. We certainly will be back again to visit/stay at the Harbour Hotel. A few mentions based on reading some other reviews. - The hotel is situated in a Grade II listed building which used to be bank, so yes, they’ve had to fit the facilities into an existing space so it is a bit rabbit warren like at times and the lifts are quite small. Saying that the lift the other side of the restaurant is a lot bigger than the smaller lift around by reception. - In terms of noise, the hotel is situated in one of the busiest areas of central Bristol, there’s clubs/bars/the market, so there is going to be noise which the hotel can’t do anything about. On the Friday night when I stayed, it was noisy and people out until very early AM. Saturday & Sunday night though, hardly any noise.

Location (opposite bars and a Wetherspoons) does mean a lot of noise both late into the evening, as well as in the early hours when glass bottles seem to be being thrown into bins. If you’re a light sleeper, perhaps worth seeing if there’s a room on the other side of the hotel. Spa is fine and I understand there aren’t a huge selection in Bristol. Seems like lots of members going on a weekday evening so it’s pretty crowded and not particularly relaxing, if peace and quiet was what you’re after. The gym is average - but a bit stuffy due to being in a vault in the basement. Breakfast was fine and the restaurant is light and airy. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. They seem to do the best with what they have, and so long as you’re not expecting a blissful spa, or rural silence at night, it’s a great hotel.

Here for a large meeting during the day, approximately 200 people. Not enough hot drinks in the morning before the session. They made everyone queue in a single line for food at lunch when it would have been easy to split the table at the back into two and have two lines around the outside of the room. By the time the back 30 people in the queue got to the front there was no food left. They eventually brought out some more (it seemed very much like it had to be prepared), and even after having an hour for lunch, they pushed our schedule back by >30 minutes. I gave up and assumed the schedule was going to be adhered to and went to Tesco for a meal deal rather than wait in hope. I don’t have many hopes for the evening meal at this point. More availability of food and drinks and making two lines for 200 people to get to the food table would fix this. I hope they implement it.

This hotel is located in Bristol city centre, in the historic old town quarter. We came for a spa package with afternoon tea, and were pleased with what we got. The spa itself is small, but pleasant. There's a small swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna. The capacity of the spa without it feeling congested is probably 10-15 people. We also had a massage, which we felt was a bit too gentle (despite asking for the firmest setting) but still very nice. The afternoon tea was excellent, with a great selection of sweet treats, and the scones especially were delicious. The restaurant area is lovely, with high ceilings and lots of light. Staff were attentive and polite.

Nice rooms, nice staff, great location . Average breakfast . BUT the hotel really needs an huge upgrade in terms of common spaces . It looks old and dusty, smell is really not nice, wooden floor are not maintained properly , feather decoration ins the dining room look so poor… The access to the rooms pass by the back premises , the kitchen entrance with many stairs and no elevators . Not convenient with luggages . It is really worth it to do a full refurbishment.

The staff at the spa were lovely, the spa is quite small but there were only us and 1 other in there so it didn’t feel cramped, the facial we had was lovely and informative. The changing rooms and surrounding areas were clean and tidy. We had an afternoon tea booked for 1:15 but they allowed us in early. The cream tea was huge and we barely ate it (which is a good thing) Fosipa in the restaurant was lovely and we were impressed with the tea made by Sam. Overall a nice way to spend a morning.

Went there on a official get together. Staffs were great, location was great, alcohol was great. Had Lunch and dinner. Reasonable quality sandwich and cake slices. For lunch we were offered Rice and some tasteless curry (veg and non-veg both) and salad prepared by primary school kids (randomly sliced cucumber, onion with some random cheese). Vegetarian dinner had some roasted overcooked food. Food prepared without washing properly. Every bite of carrots and Kale, had sands in it. Really disappointed with food. This is why 3* from me.

A beautiful event place that we had the opportunity to organise a company awards ceremony in. The venue itself was mesmerising, we hardly needed yo decorate. Their bar service was fast and the staff and caterers were on point as well. We had a successful event

Nice hotel, lovely atmosphere and location. My wife was Disappointed with the facial at the spa. I paid a lot of money and when the mask was left on her face, she was left in the room for 15 minutes on her own. When a mask is part of an expensive facial, a head or neck massage is standard practise to fill this time. Thank you

Me and my Wife stayed here for the first time on our last night of our honeymoon, and we are already planning our next visit. Everything about the venue (the rooms, the breakfast, the gold bar, the staff) was outstanding, but special mention has to go to Mia on reception. Such a positive aura and set the tone for our stay, she is an asset to the hotel and just amazing.

The best hotel in Bristol by far. The rooms are very modern and the interior design of the whole hotel is unique and beautiful. They have a bar downstairs which is also stunning and great if you want to take photos. The beds are big and comfy and the staff are always welcoming. The spa is lovely. I have been a few times and will definitely be returning.

Great location and the building is amazing from outside. However my room was simply terrible: on the ground floor, next to the bar so extremely loud plus with the ventilation system at maximum intensity the whole time. The room was also very small and it was not possible to even open the window.

I’d definitely stay again. A fun variety of massage options available at the spa. Great quality pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna. Love that they kept some of the internal architecture as it used to be an old bank - and you can see an old vault in the gym! Great quality beds and mattresses meant for a great quality sleep.

I went to the spa for drift away experience. The staff are really nice. The spa itself is small with no hanger for the dressing gown. The only shower next to the steam room didn't work. The massage was quite nice. It need improvement for the price...
