Delicious Burger

This burger bar has the option to customize your order to your level of hunger. They have some unique burger options, nice atmosphere, and their staff provide excellent service any time we stop in for lunch. This family style burger restaurant has delicious burgers and sides to choose from. The portion sizes are excellent and their ingredients always seem fresh. As a person who eats gluten free they are gluten free supportive and can change an order to address dietary needs with out compromising the quality or flavour. (They do have gluten products and do cook gluten products in their deep fryer just as an fyi) If you are looking for a place to eat at downtown Kingston check this place out!

I don't understand why this place is has 4.5 stars. Service was awful, my wife went 5 mins earlier to ask for a table for 6 while we were paying the parking fees and they refused to let her sit although the resutrant was almost empty. They told her, you can get the table whenever everyone is here. Only after we arriveed they started cleaning the table . Servers were slow and they didn't pay any attention. We finally ordered medium Smokehouse burgers, it took 30 minutes to prepare them and when the arrived all of them were burned and black on one side . I gave 2 stars only for the fries.

The staff there are wonderful, definitely amazing. But the food for the price sadly did not impress, I left feeling hungry and disgusted, and got home feeling ill. The KFC chicken was okay but the sauce tasted off The grilled cheese sandwich buns were amazing, toasted perfectly, but the patty and ingredients were sub par. And the final part, the poutine, something hard to make bad, tasted extremely off, like the gravy had sat for days and was burnt. I definitely wish the staff the best, but please give your food a taste, know what's being served, as it's not great, especially for the price.

It's a cute little place with a good vibe in Kingston downtown. We dined here and I ordered a cocktail (Gin, Grapefruit, Lime) and plant-based tacos as I am vegetarian. My husband ordered beer, Korean Fried Chicken, and waffle fries as a side. The cocktail and waffle fries were delicious. The tacos were okay; I found it a little bland. But the portion was more than enough to fill me. My husband said that the Korean Fried Chicken was good, but not great. Overall, I would rate the food as 4/5. Our server was super enthusiastic. I liked her energy and the way she talked. A special shout-out to her (I couldn't get a chance to ask for her name).

The food was absolutely delicious. My first time trying Harper’s Burger Bar and I was not disappointed at all! I’ve lived in Kingston for 3 years and always got my burgers from The Works, but now I’m wishing I discovered Harper’s earlier. My boyfriend got the chicken sandwich which was also mouth watering delicious! The best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had as well! The service was amazing and our server Laura was fantastic. Creatively accommodating our menu modifications to ensure we enjoyed our meal, plenty of knowledge regarding the menu, very honest, and great conversation. A pleasantly enjoyable experience here. Would definitely recommend!

Passing through for a tournament and I was very pleased with this place. Really enjoyed the burgers we had and the selection was top notch. They make it easy to customize to your liking and there is plenty to add or subtract. I do wish there was a crispy chicken option, but thats because I am a big fan of these. I really liked the waffle fries and the pretzel bun was delicious. I can't wait to try this place again and explore more of the options. I really wanted to try the grill cheese bun.

Great atomsphere & amazing staff! KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) was spicy and VERY crunchy. The crunch was definitely the best part & sauce was alright. Would recommend to try. Chicken fingers are comparable to Wendy’s but in a very good way! Regular fries didn’t have much flavour/seasoning (they are fresh). Gravy is pretty good! Bullseye burger had way too many jalapeños. Patty (6oz) and sauce was good! Didn’t feel like egg added to the burger. Waffle fries had great seasoning and really delicious!

First time/first nite in Kingston. Got in late and went to Harpers based on their reviews and proximity to our hotel. We were blown away. What a great vibe this restaurant/ patio had. The food/ burgers both chicken and beef were fantastic. Great staff, great environment, vibe and customer service. Great into to Kingston food scene and one of the best thereafter of our weekend visit. Kudos to the staff , cooks and waitresses. Great music, decor and lighting. I am 61, Made me feel young again. Will be back when we visit the area again.

Very kind and friendly staff! And most of all, very kid friendly, with TV on each corner of the room and Disney+ playing. We enjoyed our burgers, which you can built at your own choices. I found the fries a little bit too salty, but crispy and yummy. The milkshake were great, big and delicious. We really enjoyed our lunch and will be back when our next trip to Kingston.

You HAVE to check out this burger place. The price isn’t the cheapest BUT the food is delicious and the atmosphere is unmatched. Everyone was so friendly and the TV’s had on Mighty Ducks, Ratatouille, Princess Bride and Shrek - where else can you enjoy a burger and some of the best movies?! For the price, the food quality was below standard. The burger I had was so salty that it was not edible. As well, from the looks of it, the ground beef was boiled prior or during frying. I could only eat a couple of bites before giving up. The service and atmosphere were good. The service was excellent. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon in July and were seated right away. There were only a few tables unoccupied. I had the classic burger with cheddar, on a multigrain bun. The bun was perfect, and I mean perfect. The burger followed suit with a bang. It was cooked on a flat skillet because I could taste the carmelized edges. The waffles fries were very tasty. My bride got a side of tangy Cole slaw that was excellent. I will be coming here again in my travels.

Nice, local restaurant with amazingly friendly staff. Some vegetarian and vegan options. Veggie tacos came with goat cheese despite not being listed on the menu. Waitress was apologetic and brought fresh ones. Just beware or ask for them to be vegan in case :) she gave a complimentary desert that was a vegan and gluten free chocolate cake. It was yummy!

There are few truly AMAZING burgers in town and Harper's is one the spots to go to really satisfy that craving. My favourite is the "Pig in the Orchard" burger which is the perfect combo of sweet and savoury. I always pair it with the onion rings and a good ole milkshake, it really is the perfect combo.

This is an iconic Kingston restaurant and a must try location. The staff are extremely friendly and are very attentive. The food is amazing, with lots of options to choose from. The pretzel bun is unique, but also adds an incredible flavor to the dish. This place is quite busy at times, but I have never needed a reservation at this place!

Kingston's best burgers are at Harper's!! We had a family outing, dining in the restaurant. To say Harper's is heavy on the condiments is an understatement. We had a Bullseye which was very very good with Jalapenos, egg and bacon. Great BBQ sauce also. We also had Main with fried montreal smoked meat. Such a neat twist on smoked meat! Love the innovation! Finally the waffle fries were out of this world!! Definitely recommend Harper's for the best burgers in town!

I had the mushroom Swiss burger. Oh was it good!!! Also, had the simple dog and she was happy with it as well. It's pricey ($18 for a burger and a side, $14 for the dog) but it's a nice treat for a good quality and nice atmosphere. I had a white freezie (alcohol drink) and it was delicious!!! Cocktails are also expensive at $12 each, but I nice option to go with your meal. Servers are friendly and provide great service for this cute burger bar.

Everything about Harper’s is a 5/5… the servers, the food, the atmosphere. This place is one of our favourite restaurants in downtown Kingston and we wanted to recognize our service from this past Saturday, July 22. Our food was fantastic, as usual, and our servers were the most attentive we have ever had anywhere. They never allowed our water glasses to go below half full. Thanks again!

Stopped in on a family vacation in Kingston. Honestly the service was top notch. The young waitress was sooo very sweet and attentive. Loved the wide options of burgers especially for vegetarians!! There are choices in breads and patties from which one can choose from including the vegan patties. Also, there are varied variety of drinks ranging from milkshakes to hard and soft drinks. The sweet potato fries were too soft and crisp whereas the waffle fries were unique as well. Definitely a must try place for burgers.

Visited this place after taking the 1000 Island tour. The burgers were sooo good! We had the Umami and Crunch. Umami was the absolute best. The brie cheese added such a unique taste to the perfectly grilled burger along with the onions and mushrooms. An absolute must try if you’re in the area

Yummmmmmmm… Very friendly staff, Clean place, (not health department clean, MONICA clean!! ) Everything was fresh, well made, and delicious. I can tell that they have used fresh and good quality ingredients. We loved the burgers especially with the crispy onions fries were great and I lived the coleslaw salad too.

This burger joint is amazing one of the best burgers I had in a while everything was fresh and cooked well. Tasted amazing, the service was veary nice & polite they also cleaned every thing, was nice to see. I did the much box special but they have a make your own burger are veary reasonable prices for what you get, would 100% recommend.

What a great little burger spot! Awesome service and menu! Wish it was a little cheaper and I found the burgers to be a little heavy on the sauce. Super happy they have waffle fries and milkshakes. I'd recommend not paying more for the 8oz. 6oz was more than filling enough. All in all worth a return visit.

We happened to visit this place accidentally and what good luck!! This is an awesome bar in Kingston and has a really good burger and waffle fries. I tried the Orange cream soda for the first time and found it better than the original cream soda. If you are in Kingston, do visit this restaurant.
