"A beautiful, spacious park with something to do for the whole family"
"Well, I have been there for years mainly in the pool area because I am a swimmer and I have swum there since I was a 2 or less I started doing gymnastics and then I started swimming at 2 and had my first competition when I was 3 and know I am in high school and I still enjoy swimming their because they have treated me as their family and I love them and the community and especially my coach Juan he taught my two older brothers and they learned a lot from this wonderful time at this place and the people"
"My daughter absolutely loves this park"
"Needs lots of upgrades"
"Good place to be at"
A beautiful, spacious park with something to do for the whole family. The field house has an exercise facility, open gym and swimming pools. There's open swim or you can schedule time to swim with an instructor. The playground was remodeled within the last year, children of all ages can run, climb and swing. On a nice spring/summer day you'll see people from the neighborhood jogging or a dog owner playing catch with his buddy. There's little league baseball games during the week and you don't want to miss the Sunday soccer pick-up games. Don't forget to grab an elotes and flavored ice cup from the many vendors throughout the park.
Well, I have been there for years mainly in the pool area because I am a swimmer and I have swum there since I was a 2 or less I started doing gymnastics and then I started swimming at 2 and had my first competition when I was 3 and know I am in high school and I still enjoy swimming their because they have treated me as their family and I love them and the community and especially my coach Juan he taught my two older brothers and they learned a lot from this wonderful time at this place and the people.
My daughter absolutely loves this park. From the rope swing to the tire swing to trying to climb the rolling pin slide. The age range of activities here is pretty wide. The community presence at this park and facility is strong and embracing. Another huge plus is their staffs professional and caring approach. The one negative would be parking, there is no lot only street parking, and lots of the neighborhood is there at most hours of the day.
Needs lots of upgrades. Cracked or broken side walks. Side bathrooms by the field are often closed. Even on game days. Field house's locker rooms and bathrooms are filthy locker rooms are ugly and in desperate need of upgrades. Play ground is nice and large but sadly needs to be remodel completely. Overall they have great sports programs and this park is always packed. Needs more benches. And water fountains. It's Dog friendly too.
Good place to be at. Workers are very helpful. Establishment is clean and the make it safe. Kids really enjoy it and parents come from all over the city to enroll their children in activities here because of the low cost and the outstanding results the children take home because of the highly qualified trainers. My kids are in gymnastics and boxing here and the change I have seen in them is amazing. Most come and see for yourself.
Beautiful park in the Pilsen neighbor that is well maintained, great for walking as well as areas for baseball, basketball, grassy areas for soccer and football as well as a recreation center. A plus is the Mexican National Art Museum is locate here. After engaging in your favorite physical activity there are some nice places within walking distance to take care of any appetite you may have developed.
A place for kids to play have a lot of baseball teams going to play there different activities lot of fun for kids we always need something like that for kids to keep busy without being or doing things they shouldn't be doing so should be something like that everywhere for kids to entertain themselves always so they don't end up in the streets get intimidated bye bad people...
A little bit on the dangerous side. If you come during the day in a group you should be fine, but I wouldn't recommend going here after dark. But other than that, it has great food and a nice atmosphere for the most part, so it's worth a visit. The area is in the process of being gentrified, so for better or worse the area is getting slowly safer.
Really like this park, i enjoy biking from home there and spectate whatever sports game or event thats happening. Grew up visiting around the area and i always enjoy the park as well as the nearby Museum. It has changed alot over the years, got safer and much more productive, but still has some issues. Still i love that park.
The annual Day of the Dead Festival event offers a beautiful opportunity to experience cultural tradition and community. This year in collaboration with National Museum of Mexican Art, Solorio Academy High School Marching Band performed 'Remember Me' from the motion picture, Coco! #chicagosolidarity
The reason I come here is for the calisthenics park that overlooks the rest of the park from the corner of 18th and Wood. Nothing comes closein the city of Chicago currently in terms of completeness. Pull Up Park Jam Chicago will be hosted here June 22nd. Come by and catch some good vibes!
Great place for the kids to run aroundand have fun. Today, they had the displays for Dia De Los Muertos, and it was lovely.
Playground
Very nice. The park district could do a better job of keeping the playground clean.
Restrooms
They are usually pretty clean and are inside
Its ok. It has a lot of activities for kids like swimming and boxing. The playground is pretty decent. Especially since they remodeled it. There is also a huge field for picnics and another huge field with fake grass! They also have a tennis court and basketball court fit with bars.
This park is very big and in the middle of a bit of construction. My dog had a great time running around. We saw several other dogs as well. The park itself is clean and right across from a school. However there were a few men just lounging around, not sure if they were homeless.
I have stopped by here plenty of times during the summer and during the winter, it is right next to the museum and some restaurants that I like to visit. On one of the visits we enjoyed the day of the death and many people had their offerings in the park to share with others.
Nice spot to play when there's space to play. Very cramped, technically a public park but signs say you need to have a permit. Often times there are softball leagues playing who are not so kind about you using the other 75% of the field because 'they have a permit'.
Not the best of the park district parks, but a good neighborhood park. The staff are uniformly nice. The natatorium is geared towards kids and seniors. Adult swim should be offered during weekday nights. The work out equipment is very, very rudimentary.
Great playground with zip line feature and nest-style swing for bigger kids, different play structures for different ages. Dated pool house but lots of great programming and friendly staff/instructors if you can register in time (which is complicated).
A great neighborhood park. Fields and courts for basketball, tennis, futsal, soccer, baseball/softball and an indoor pool, as well as a lovely grassy area with trees that's a wonderful place to have a picnic or just sit and enjoy being outside.
Peaceful comfortable frequencies feel like a family two parks in one spaces with a cool park district people mind their one business friendly! Outside of Millennium Park this my second best And we visited alotes of park from different community
Actually, I visited the Mexican fine arts museum. If you visit chicago is a must to learn about Mexican heritage. During November it has the "Day of the Dead" exhibition where local residents and artists set up their altars to honor the dead
Conveniently located on Damen and 18th St. With plenty of good restaurants around as well as street vendors selling fruit...you have multiple paleteros and eloteros nearby as well. Plenty of grass for kids as well as dogs to run around in.
Went to see a movie at the park. Free usage of the bathroom at the pool but a couple bathrooms were out of orders with a date on the sign of April. My visit was in June. Not sure why the city plumbing crew did not get a chance to fix it.
Pretty great park for the kids. Lots of playground equipment and stuff to play on. Not a lot of out of the way places for a couple of consenting adults to have a discreet sexual encounter though. Unfortunately for me after a quick walk
This is a Beautiful neighborhood park. We enjoy walking through its big open space. Great place to let the kids play and walk the dogs. Excited to see what events are happening in the summer here. Nice place to have a picnic and relax.
Beautiful park, right beside the Museum of Mexican Art. Great facility with gymnastics gym.and pool. Lots of programs! The play lot is huge and really fun, accommodates LOTS of kids! Great place to stop by when you are in Pilsen.
Huge park. A big playground, a gymnastics center (this is the best of the CPD's 15 gymnastics centers), and TONS of open space. The National Museum of Mexican Art is also onsite. This is absolutely an anchor of the neighborhood
Very nice park. All in all, there are courts for tennis and basketball, soccer and baseball fields. Playground for children and it is easily accessible being on 18th st. Could use some maintenance but is still a great park!
Lots of activities and events to take part in. Lots of street vendors selling paletas, fresh fruit, and Mexican goodies to snack on, lots if local business surrounding the park. Play ground is big and in good condition
Nice park. Indoor pool, gymnasium, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, soccer field, baseball fields, playground. Good luck finding parking near the field house. Ample parking on 18th by ball fields.
Harrison Park is awesome, located in the heart of Pilsen. It offers all kinds of programs for all ages and special needs throughout the year. Staff is very nice, park always clean. Great playground for kids.
Harrison Park is a good place for everyone to enjoy with your friends, family and pets. There's a playground, inside pool, area for outdoor/indoor sports and lots of trees and grass for your dogs to enjoy.
Spacious park with lighted turf field for soccer or various other sports and games. Huge grass field for other activities. Basketball courts are in decent shape but the tennis court is in poor condition.
Been coming to this park for 10 years. All four seasons it is well used and well cared for. My one wish would be for there to be a dog off leash area carved out since so many residents have dogs.
Such a wonderful park, it has summer camp to keep your kid busy, it has many activities to sign up your kid. For example swimming, basketball, football, boxing, gymnastics, and many more.
Harrison park is an extraordinary local area space with sports fields, huge and young child open air park and indoor exercises, a rec center, pool - min about 3ft, astounding staff.
So much fun I did not think a park this close to the city would be so we'll kept and serviced. They have food vendors always going up and down the street so it is a great day out
Stomping grounds of Pilsenites for generations now. You can take boxing classes, aerobics, there's summer cap for children. I personally go for the pool, it is well maintained.
My favorite park. My kids do all of the programming from gymnastics to basketball to summer camp. Great place to raise kids. Safe, clean, and most importantly, amazing staff.
This place is great I've been going ever since i was like 7, it was recently renovated too, new fields and playground. Btw the elotero near the playground has some good elote
Good place to bring the kids. It has lots of playsets for them to play. The mexican fine arts museum is located right next door. There's an ok pizza place across the street.
Ordering through the take out window was easy and the food was just as delicious as dine-in. Sweet Maple is so good, I'm glad it is still around. Will be back again!!
A great playground full of friendly elementary age kids. My daughter immediately found girls to play with and passed a lovely autumn afternoon mostly on the zip line.
Harrison park is a great community space with sports fields, big and little kid outdoor park and indoor activities, a gym, pool - min about 3ft, amazing staff.
Visited for a concert called My House Music it was good but parking was awful as they don't have a parking lot. Also bring your own chairs or blanket.
Besides sporting tennis courts, baseball diamonds, a children's playground & a natatorium, it's also home to the National Museum of Mexican Art.
Love this adorable little restaurant. You really get the close, family feel when you're here, if only my family cooked as good as they did!
Beautiful park. It's very large, has an indoor pool and it sits adjacent to the Mexican Museum of Art. Huge playground and two fields.
Nice park where a lot goes on in the evening. They have a lot of nightlife at the soccer pitch and they have a large baseball fields.
My real name is Harrison so what more can I say? Lol. No it's a lovely park. Nice trees, fields and swimming pool in Park building.
very clean play ground recently re-done beautiful soccer field an excellent place to relax or watch a baseball game nice club house
The playground is so fun, it's sad it's not the safest place in these times. The field is huge And it's nice to just sit and chat!
Park playground. Has been up graded.fields workable.parking hard to find. Cant leave kids alone due to gang shootings at anytime.
Great community park. Plenty of open space, great court, accessible park for kids. Love doing work outs around the perimeter too!

I went to the National Mexican Fine Arts museum, they have new exhibits throughout the whole museum, which was great.
Great park with an indoor pool and a free museum, The National Museum of Mexican Art. It's the green heart of Pilsen!
Open green space. Baseball, basketball, and soccer being played all of the time. Wish they had picnic tables though.
Is. Good place was a mimi. Fiesta lots If food and good MUSIC!! MARIAH. Colon singer. Check her out On. You tube-!
Terrible service and very mean people. Great pool and park. Only recommended for activities but not for picknicks.
Always a good park to go to. Whether for a walk, a game or visit the museum. With about 3 licensed fruit vendors.
Good place to come Hang out with friends and family pets in the spring and summer time clean and sports friendly
Pretty good. Can get muddy. Great spot for letting your dog run around. Couple of trees available for hammocks.

Cool park. Peaceful, clean, easy access and good folks relaxing or other activities.
Nice playground for kids: some open space. Lacks creative landscaping and amenities.
