Sorry, this is a long review.... I have been a customer of this store for the better part of 25 years, buying large kitchen appliances, T.V's, computers and phones. I have never had an issue with service. That changed recently. I will prelude my following comments with this statement; I have worked in retail all my working life, and have had over 20 years experience in store management. Having trained and coached staff, I know what good customer service is. Currently working 6 days a week, (being time poor) I completed my research on line, and knew exactly what I was in store to purchase, a 40" T.V and Hisense washing machine. I located both items on the shop floor, and awaited service in the TV department. A pleasant salesman (possibly from a different dept) walked past and asked if I needed assistance, to which I replied "yes please". He called out to another salesman to assist. This is where things went bad. The salesman (Adrian) made a very lethargic approach. There was a nice young couple meandering through the T.V's, about 2 aisles away from me. Adrian ceased his approach to assist me, and asked them if they would like his assistance. They politely declined, to which he asked "are you sure?. He must have assumed I was not looking to make a purchase, and figured they were a better bet to make a sale. Word of advice from my experience...NEVER assume anything about a customer. He eventually got to me, offering the line "at your service". His body language and tone implied sarcasm. If I had not been on such tight time, I would have walked away. That said, I advised him of the items I wished to purchase, and had it sorted within 3 minutes. Adrian asked if I wanted to purchase extra warranty on the T.V. As it is only a $400 T.V, I refused....but he continued to push...and push. I did however take the extra warranty on the Washing machine. Clearly a drive for extra commission. Then Adrian assisted me to the pay counter. The payment was finalised by Sierra. She could not have exhibited less interest in her job. I got the impression from her that she would have rather been anywhere else. If she was attending to customer service under my employ, she would not last very long. Generally, I am not one to leave negative "public" google reviews. I would prefer to send an email direct to management, sadly this was not an option. I should have gone to The Good Guys. Not sure I will ever shop at this HN store again. Credit given to the staff at the warehouse that assisted with the pick up. They were great and seem to have an understanding of how to assist customers. I welcome any feed back from HN Nunawading.
Bought a laptop from Nunwading Harvey Norman end of July last year, within 6 months, had to take it back for repair twice, which took around 5 weeks all altogether. - first time : faulty keyboard which has to be replaced and problem with speaker. - second time : faulty speaker which has to be replaced. Both times it has to be sent back to the manufacturer for repair. So this machine that I bought was pretty much a faulty one, I did not intend to spend around $1500 to buy a faulty machine. Thus I request a replacement unit, I am not even asking for refund or anything else, but just a replacement. The store manager told me according to the law, the manufacturer has the right to repair "3 times". But he ignored what the law says about the right of the consumer. I called the head office and complain about the issue, the lady over the phone was very patient and immediately, she offered to liaise with the store. Unfortunately, the store manager, gave her the same response, that the "manufacturer has the right to repair it for 3 times". So my understanding is even if they sell you a faulty machine, they still have the right to fix it for 3 times. This is totally ridiculous. I just had a feeling that this store manager is trying to be difficult. If my request is unreasonable, the lady from the head office wouldn't even step in immediately. Unfortunately, this type of customer service is just turning customers away. After 10 years of buying from this store, rest assure that I will never buy from there again. Well you can choose to stand on your ground, but I will keep fighting for my rights. Quoted from ACCC: "Replacements and refunds You can ask for a replacement or refund if the problem with the product is major......." "A product or good has a major problem when: What is a major problem? it has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying it if they’d known about it it has multiple minor problems that, when taken as a whole, would have stopped someone from buying it if they’d known about them....." Only if I knew that this laptop has so many hardware issues, broken keyboard and broken speaker, not only me, but nobody would have bought it in the first place. Who would want to buy a laptop that needs to be sent off for repair every now and then. In addition, they introduced me to buy the product care which I thought would give me peace of mind after the purchase, but see what am I experiencing now. They talked about the rights of the manufacturer, but not even considering what the law is saying the rights of consumer.
After my fridge broke I went to Harvey Norman a couple of days before New Years to have a look. I had asked for James to show me around and give me his opinion of the fridges and to answer some questions I had. I also asked if he was able to price match with an online website and he replied, “yes I can price match it IF the website has stock of the fridge”. Ultimately on the day, I had decided not to purchase the fridge yet and went home as I needed time to think and told James I’d be back. On the FIRST day of 2023, on New Year’s Day, I went back to Harvey Norman with my Family to purchase a fridge. Upon seeing me, James rudely said “you came back again?!” Which bewildered me as I had told him I would be back. Finally, once he was finished with another customer and came to help me and my family out, I told him about another online site to price match. For some reason, when looking it up, even though the online site said explicitly it HAD STOCK, James REFUSED to price match and claimed that it was “out of stock” and could not price match it. When I went to go and ask him again showing him the website that said the fridge I wanted was in fact IN STOCK, he told me that “you can go home then”. And kept repeating “go go go go go” with a repeating hand motion to urge me to get out of the store. What in the world is this customer service? Such a rude, dismissive and irresponsible way to deal with a customer! Extremely unprofessional and completely dismissive! It was ONLY when I made a fuss about the way in which he told me to basically “get out”, that their manager of the appliances department, David, heard me and sorted out the situation EXTREMELY EASILY. David was amazing, after explaining the situation and showing him the online site that we had tried to price match, he was willing to help us out and match it. In the midst of this, James had jumped in to defend himself saying “it was out of stock”, David had replied with “yes, but James that doesn’t mean we don’t price match.” Completely unbelievable and disgusting behaviour by James - completely ruined our first day of the year with his awful attitude and rudeness. The only saving grace was David who was kind and polite and very understanding of our situation. The only reason I am giving this review 3 stars IS BECAUSE OF DAVID, if not for David I would have given this store a negative review if I could have for James’ behaviour.
I have been to this store a lot because it is the nearest to me. But 2 out 5 times there will be a bit drama. This time is about a long overdue Switch game that finally was released (1 year wait). Got a SMS from HN on 10/11/2023 says ready to pick up, come to the store and the storeman says it will be released on 14/11 so even he got it on his hands but he cannot gave to me. Understood he cannot do anything, so I was directed to a floor manager, he kept talking that he cannot believe I waited for a year and it is not HN problem. Well, it is pre-order and it is HN problem because their system sent the SMS not Nentindo. Otherwise, I won't be there. Somehow he directed me to another "manager", I asked to send this to me instead me comming again, he refused to send it on release day and ask me to come pick up again. He even checked the postage and says it is $5 but he cannot do it. He said he can send me the code because he believe that Swtich game is a digital version (which means there is only a code in that box). He can open the package on release day and email me the code to download. For a second, I almost believed that because I am not the one playing it. At last, I even said I will raise this as a complaint but he totally ignored that. So no progress in a store and I had to raise a formal complaint on their website, then a lady called me back very quickly and admited it is their system's issue and happy to mail the item to me on release day. Finally got it resolved. I received it yesterday and no surprise it is actually a physical cartridge and the code is for some bonus item in game. My feedback is not only for this time, for everytime there was an issue, the "floor manager" or "store manager" and whatever manager in this place has no authority or access to do anything beyond the store man. They never tried and simply not care. They lack of training and knowledge. I can't even believe how they become a manager. oh, I know, what they are good at? Maybe selling product care. So far, I haven't got any issue with my furniture and appliances purchased from here, touch wood. If you got some issue better to talk someone in complaints or ACCC. Stop wasting your time in the store.
This whole company are frauds and especially this branch. They claim to price match (have a big board by the electronic section claiming so) if you find lower but they don't. They give ridiculous excuses. My story - I was looking at buying airtags 4 pack which are $165 at Harvey Norman. I found 2 places selling the same for $145, mydeal and digidirect (online and physical shop) but because digidirect didn't say they had stock on their site in Melbourne (they do because I messaged them) the guy in this store said he won't match the price even though he went through all of the adding to cart part etc and I even said I'd ring them. Instead he said he'd only match bing Lee which is $159. I said what about matching the $149 that Qantas and Amazon are selling it for.. he said no they don't match with Amazon. Then I showed him a chat I had with Harvey Norman online where the lady said they can match with Amazon and he still refused. Online they refused do march mydeals $145 because it is 'below market price'! This company are liars, they are never the lowest price, don't honour their statement of price matching and are just plain rude. If jb hifi sold these they'd price match and price beat.
Not sure it just this store or whole Harvey Norman company, staffs in this store is well trained how to dupe customers. Very disappointed experience. I went to this store to buy Sony TV, but they told me is out of stocks and need to wait for weeks to become available again. Then selling LG TV to me instead. So I changed to LG TV as I don't want to wait too long. And actually, other HN store have the stock. When I got the TV it does not meet my expectation, so I decided to change back to Sony which is more expensive. But the staff told me as long as I opened the box, I need to charged me 20% admin fee in order to change. And they even told me that LG C1 and Sony A80j is the same, most of people cannot even tell the different. They make me feel like I should be the same as others cannot tell the difference. But actually I can tell the different as long as I turn the TV on and see the picture quality. I know the different might be small, but I can still tell the different. The staff told me this is actually a store manager, which just trying to tread me as a fool. I think I will never used Harvey Norman again. There are so many other place is offering high quality of customer services.
What an absolute joke of a company! I reluctantly purchased a monitor from them as Officeworks were out of stock. Placed order at 11am for pickup at Nunawading who had it in stock according to the website. Website advertised "1 Hour Click and Collect" ... with an asterisk. After 2.5 hours and no update, I called the store and after a lengthy hold was told that they didn't actually have it in stock and I needed to request a reroute via Live Chat. So I contacted Live Chat who seemed to take 4-8 minutes to reply to every message. Had it rerouted to another store (a long way away). I then called the other store and they told me they couldn't see the order yet, weren't sure when it would arrive, and had no way to check on it's status. So I guess, I just wait and see what happens. As the the advertised "1 Hour Click and Collect"? Well, if you bother to go into the fine print, they actually say that it will be available for pickup in "as little as 1 hour". Which basically means it could take any length of time but you won't get it in less than an hour. Really quite deceptive conduct. No wonder Amazon and other online retailers are running rings around these old fashioned retailers!
We bought a high end Breville coffee machine around 6 months ago online through the Harvey Norman site. Coffee machine had a critical error which needed repairing. Took it to Harvey Norman Nunawading as that was the distributor store, where the salesperson advised around 2 weeks to repair. 3 weeks had passed, no correspondence. Call up Harvey Norman who advised it had been "shipped to the repairer today" (conveniently the day I call) and there'd been shipping delays (yeah sure). Also took the team a substantial amount of time to find my customer details as the salesperson did not enter them correctly. Few more weeks pass, no correspondence. At this stage I'm looking for a refund- not good enough. I'm advised to call Breville directly. Breville advise it's the retailers' problem to deal with refunds. Call back Harvey Norman who say they can now refund- but I have to go back into store to refund my online order. Absolute rubbish service. The customer shouldn't be doing the running around to rectify your mistakes.
Harvey Norman, Nanawading used to be my go-to for printing services for years. The initial staff was impeccable, offering top-tier service and a warm atmosphere. However, their decision to completely replace the photo center staff with an utterly incompetent team has been nothing short of disastrous. The new staff's customer service is abysmal, and my experiences have been nothing but frustration. In fact, it might be wise for Harvey Norman, Nanawading to shut down the photo center department altogether, given the woeful quality of service they now provide. It's an embarrassment to the name it once held. Perhaps concentrating on improving shared customer service would save whatever reputation they have left. As a former loyal customer, I am profoundly disappointed to see this once-great establishment plummet to such depths of incompetence. I emphatically do not recommend Harvey Norman Photo Center at all.
Proity poor experience here. Purchased a click and collect order and attempted a contactless delivery. Well what a waste of time. After 20 minutes of the service being advised I was there no one had come out to the car. On entering the Tech guy was awesome but due wasn't able to assist in click and collects but did help get someone for me. He was the only helpful person so gave the additional star. The rest couldn't care less. After repeating myself multiple times got told oops system error you.need to call us next time. Once I finally got my item I there was opertunity to repreave yourself if staff had offered to take item to the car but instead no apology just there's your item. Horrendous customer service. Maybe Harvey Norman nudawading could get the tech guy to train staff on what customer service is. On a positive well done to your tech guy you excelled in ypur job tonight.
Recently purchased a small heater $99.00. Upon taking it home, i was having problems with it. I had my receipt, but had disposed of packaging. I returned it and wanted to get a different model. 'William' the counter employee was quite adamant & abrupt he couldn't help. I hadn't used the heater. After I insisted that i couldnt use it & didnt like it, i asked him to check with his Manager. He really didn't want to help. I inisted i couldn't use this and was not happy with the original heater. He went to his Manager & said this was ok, and i upgraded to another model & paid extra $50.00. This was not handled well by the employee & i shouldn't have had to stand at counter & argue with him. Although i ended up upgrading, i left the store disatisfied with this service. I will not be returning to this store. More training might be required for dealing with returns & unhappy customers.
We went to look for Rangehoods as we are renovating. Looked around and waited for assistance. No one was around. I reached out to staff for help. They advise me that they will find someone to help me who looks after cooking equipments. I waited another 20minutes but no one came. There were minimum of 12 staff for different sections. Just chatting around which we have no issue as they might not have idea about cooking equipments. As a customer I prefer all staff should have minimum idea or knowledge that they can help everyone who come to buy valuable product for their homes. We could have bought it online but if you have store where people come to buy products at least as a common courtesy staff member of the business should welcome you or guide you to right direction rather than chit chatting.
Been dealing with them for over a month now and had a terrible experience. Bought a coffee machine 2 months ago, waiting about 3 weeks - went into the store to see what was happening. There was an error with the order that was only picked up because I went in, and they had to reorder the item. It's been over a month now waiting again, I called and asked what's happening. Just get told they aren't sure when it's coming in, even though quoting me a delivery date multiple times. At what point does this company take responsibility for finding out when the item is arriving or having some level of customer service. I know I've paid you but would it hurt for someone to say I'll find out what's happening with it and get back to you instead of a constant 'i don't know'. Won't shop here again.
the after sales customer support of the store is the worst of all the Harvey Norman stores I have dealt with. We bought a new leather sofa recently and was found to have a damage on opening the box. I have asked them to refund or replace it with a like to like new sofa. Instead , I have been offered by the store a repair of a new sofa , it was not even a floor stock sold “as is “” but a new sofa and was told it would be repaired. You pay for a new sofa and you end up getting a repaired sofa , technically classed as a factory second. Is this where a brand name “ Harvey Norman “” going ? I have bought all my previous sofas and tables from them but NO More , they are no longer” The Harvey Norman “ I use to know. I have complained to consumer affairs and writing to VCAT.
Worst costumer service and terrible quality furniture ever. My husband and I bought a couch so called “leather” and the skin started to peel after a year. We sent them images and asked them for repair given we did not use them much. They said that it was because we didn’t care for them properly and refused to offer any solution. 3,000 dollars down the drain for cheap quality furniture. They will use any excuse to not provide you with a costumer care you deserve. They first asked us whether we clean the coaches as soon as we said we do they said it’s because of the cleaning products we use but once we explained we only have been cleaning them with water and wipes and drying it immediately they said it’s because we don’t clean them properly. Don’t EVER buy from them.
Bought lots of things over the years from various Harvey Normans. Good range of products on display and generally the salesman are knowledgeable and helpful without being too pushy. It's definitely worth negotiating, the prices on most items I consider to be a starting point for negotiation rather than set in concrete. Our most recent purchases, several thousand dollars, they were not very willing to negotiate at all. The Good Guys a few hundred metres away are far more amenable to some haggling we've found. If both stores have what you want in stock, Good Guys is usually cheaper after some negotiation, especially on big ticket items. Check online prices as well as competitors, and in most cases you'll get a better deal.
Friendly, knowledgeable & happy to give them my money! Received a payout for my 75" Samsung Qled television from insurance after removalists damged it in a house move & had my heart set on a 75" Samsung frame, made the mistake of going to a Good Guys being that it's close to my house, after this particular man's knowledge of the tv specs or lack there of then his arrogance tipped my patientce so I realised I should call The Harvey Norman that carries all the info from the 1 I bought my 1st tv from, I told the what had happened & the convo with The Good Guys and they were more then happy to do me a better deal, I drove 25mins to get to them but glad I did, will be going back there 1st from now on. Thanks so much
Would give zero stars if I could. Quite possibly the worst furniture shopping experience I’ve ever had. HN will quite literally vanish after payment has been made. Bought a dining table set and there were defects that rendered a chair unusable and the table missing an important screw. The aftersales staff shirks all responsibility and pushes it to the manufacturer who is apparently “uncontactable”. Rudely hung up on my dad who called to ask how long more we must wait for a response. Anyone reading this should shop for your furniture elsewhere and save yourself the trouble of this nightmare. This is your warning.
Not sure about the professionalism...or there lack of with some of the staff. Had one of the girls serve me and she was flirting and giggling with another staff member...this after at leastb5 of them were having a loud private joke on the floor yelling out at each other laughing...when it came to serving a few of us in line I felt I was interrupting their more important socialization....no eye contact and abuptness....I come to pay for a product and expect service as a valued customer and close resident. Think some of those you employees have nonidea about customer service nor manners. Very entitled.
Our visits to Harvey Norman Nunawading have consistently been enjoyable shopping experiences. Today, we would like to highlight our encounter with Robin, who assisted us in purchasing a laptop. Robin proved to be a compassionate and helpful technical sales assistant. He provided us with a thorough explanation of the technical aspects of various laptops and ultimately presented us with excellent deals that not only facilitated our payment but also helped us with our mobile plan through Optus. Without a doubt, our interaction with Robin has been our most pleasant experience at Harvey Norman thus far.
One of the worst after care service , their in shop guys are great but once you buy the product the after care and the delivery is the worst , my product arrived after a month and that too after I called them and did a inquiry , when the product was received there were missing items and when I called the store manage he replied that I will have to buy the extra parts for which I already paid them, the delivery guys are good but they cannot do much because their were not provided with the parts they needs to install. Will never buy from Harvey Norman again.
Product care cover not worth the paper its written on! Manufacturer has agreed to refund the cost of the fridge, however the fridge has sat in our kitchen for 7 weeks waiting for collection. Its a large 4 door fridge and takes up heaps of room! I guess they only pay out once they have the goods returned, so if they dont collect then they dont have to pay!!!! Im over over it! Harvey Norman customer service seem to only respond to the good reviews (I guess because they are easy as they do not have to fix anything) and BTW its now been 9 WEEKS waiting!!!!
I was rather apprehensive about this Harvey Norman as I had a ‘not-so-great’ impression in my head of my first experience two years back at another branch. But I was Very pleasantly surprised as this store completely changed my perspective in under 5 minutes. I received genuinely friendly, very helpful staff. It Didn’t matter where in the store I was looking, each department portrayed this incredibly helpful and knowledgeable side to them. I ended up buying way more than I first anticipated and felt really great leaving this store. I will be back.
We were exceptionally lucky when Tiana was the employee who answered the phone when purchasing my elderly parents’ washing machine. Not only was she both knowledgeable and professional but she made the whole process so easy. Tiana realised how difficult it would be for my 89 & 80 year old parents to attend the store and so we purchased the machine over the phone. Not only did it arrive in 3 days but it met all our needs in terms of price, easy usage and being a top loader. Thank you Tiana, much appreciated.
Solid range but poor customer service in the tech department. Staff were congregating near the cooling vent and sharing inappropriate videos, rather than approaching customers. After some time, one salesperson did offer assistance and was friendly and knowledgeable. However, he left abruptly and never came back. Was quite interested in making a purchase but there were no staff on hand to assist. Saw other customers waiting and looking around as well. Finally walked out after about 10 minutes of no service.
I have beeb buying from this store for over 20 years, mainly from the computer section. One long term salesman (Boni) has tremendous knowledge and is so nice to know. Young Jack ( known as "Jack the technician" is highly experienced in computer repairs and handling any problem encountered in setting up your PC system. A great range of anything associated with computing, mobile phones, printers etc. The other section of the store has a huge range of furniture and household goods. Overall a terrific store.
Went here on boxing day, and was initially greeted by a salesman who was very dismissive of me, and left to greet another customer. Fortunately, this was noted by salesman Andrew, who came over to assist me. He was very knowledgable regarding airfryers and toasters- both of which I needed to purchase- and was able to answer all questions I asked. I didn't go through with the sale due to lack of immediate availability, which is not at all his fault, but was very impressed with his sales ability.
I love the sofas that I purchased here. The extended warranty? Not so much. It was provided by a company called Multimaster, which is the dodgiest business I have ever seen. Unresponsive to my calls or emails, refused my accidental damage claim without further explanation. Google it and you will find all the 1 star reviews. Avoid it by all means! Luckily, Harvey Norman has now repaired my sofas. I would like to say thank you to Tracey Weeding, who helped resolve this issue for me.
I attended the Harvey Norman store in Nunawading last Friday to purchase a printer, and was most fortunate to be greeted by ‘Robin’. Robin was most affable, friendly and professional, clearly possessing excellent product knowledge. Robin assisted me in the purchase of a printer and also subscription to Microsoft. If Robin is a reflection of the general population of Harvey Norman employees, the company should be most proud. Thank you Robin, for your most appreciated assistance.
It's a decent size Harvey Norman shop. When we first arrived in the area we bought a new freezer and more recently a new laptop. I've found the staff knowledgeable and patient. They tried to upsell stuff for the laptop but when they saw me checking online they came with a better idea which worked better for me. Also the warranty they offered this time seems so much better than the ones they used to have. Did some research on it and I'm pleased with it. Great store!
Staff are nice enough, the product is in stock in the warehouse. Okay, that's great, I thought. The important thing to remember is that this involves driving 5 minutes around the corner to 4 Redland Drive and waiting for 20 minutes in a carpark, wondering if they have forgotten to get your order. What on earth is going on? Isn't this company worth millions? How is this the best system of getting customers their products? Not the fault of the staff at all.
I went to multiple sections. Apart from 1 person in Appliances area " who was not keen on helping due to my honesty in saying that I am not sure if I buy or not and he said that he doesn't want to waste(!!?) his time with me", all other staff I met were very friendly and helpful with good information about the products. I have got a shortlist of the BBQ with the recommendations, and Carpet flooring which I ended up ordering carpets there for my house.
Henry assisted us in Appliances, he was incredibly helpful and gave us a lot of product information in helping us make our decision. A couple of days later we needed to push back our delivery date, I called the store and spoke with Henry directly and he sorted it out for us immediately. Henry is an absolute gentleman and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you so much Henry for all you kind help, you are an asset to the Nunawading store. Gina and Mick
I came into this store needing a new Vaccum and TV. I have had no previous experience with buying these sorts of appliances but knew what I wanted them to do. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and helped me decide on two great choices. I then went home to purchase online so I could get delivery. They delivered the day after, gave me a window of time to expect them. And brought it up to my apartment. Would recommend! And will come back
Harveynorman Nunawading is one of the best places to shop for white goods and AV related equipment. I recently shopped with them and served by Simon who is extremely knowledgeable about all products. He was never a pushy sales person. He knows when to provide you with information and when to let customer make the decision. He is very professional and a posses great customer service skills. Thank you Simon and Best of Luck.
HN Nunawading is bigger than it looks from the road! I didn’t know the equally big electrical department is Hidden behind the bed and furniture section! Watch out for the vip nights - they have good spot specials. this is in addition to the usual festive sales. I picked up extra $200 off for the Airconditioning unit on top of the current promotions on the night. Well worth it! I picked up an iphone cable at 40% off....
My family ordered a calander online from harvey Norman at Christmas time, poor online service and program to ensure you can have someone else pick it up in another state. When in store you are not greeted and when you approach you have to wait until the personal discussions are finished before you are attended to. Then you are told to go to another desk, 3 desks later i have my order. Thabks Harvey Norman!!!!!!
Shout out to Tiana today, she went above and beyond entertaining our 5 year old daughter. She had great knowledge of the range of fridges. Absolute perfect customer service. Ultimately Tiana was the reason we purchased our Asko dishwasher (which was from Benjamin - as we were talking with two staff members at the same time). We will be back soon for more white goods. Keep up the good work.
Went in today to buy a fan, customer service was atrocious. We went to the service desk to ask if something was in stock and she directed us to someone on the floor. The smugness of the salesman confirmed why I won’t shop here again. I asked some basic questions about the fan and was met with “I don’t know” and he clearly was making zero effort to find out. Completely lazy. Won’t be back.
I had a fantastic customer service experience with Sierra at the cash desk while outfitting my kitchen. The sales staff weren't very helpful. I was going to walk out like some of the other reviewers but Sierra saw me and helped me with all my needs and created a fantastic shopping experience. 11/10 for her help If you're having trouble trying to get service just ask for Sierra
I have always had excellent service at HN Nunawading and today was no exception. Kevin in the furniture department was excellent and the prices for everything were great. Kate in the bedding department was also excellent - she gave me some great price reductions and was able to get the delivery charges reduced. She knows her products and gave me some great advice. Thanks Kate.
The customer service here is depends on how lucky you get. Came here a few months back because a vax vacuum kept clogging up, and the customer support blamed my carpet and refused to provide any helpful assistance. However, I went again today and Nick along with the staff were very amicable and patient, helping resolve the issues I had with the Vacuum. They deserve a raise.
Sierra operator 1010/152 is easily one of the worst cashier's we have ever come across. My partner and I were spoken to so rudely. It seems this operator is racking up quite a few complaints. Might be time for a performance review. The way we were treated was simply abhorrent. Will not be coming back here again for the simple fact of wanting to be treated with dignity.
Not a great experience from the fridge department. Questionable sales technique. Please don’t assume all your customers are idiots, perhaps this customers is an industry expert. I came for the product but not again because of the service. Other Harvey Norman branches serves better. At least they smile and won’t give me a very annoyed face when I refused any up selling.
Got neither the right size or colour of clothes dryer I am sure I ordered. This followed on from them not factoring in taking my old fridge away in spite of asking for it to be included (that got done after talking to franchise owner). But, still a fail because the salespeople don’t listen closely enough and two out of three cashiers clearly find customers annoying.
No Click and Collect parking spaces available - one seemed to be taken by a regular parker as no one in the car for quite a long time. I waited about 25 minutes for my order to be brought out after notifying them I had arrived and had to call twice and enter the store several times to understand what was going on. Won’t be purchasing from them again.
Unhelpful staff whos only concern is making money through giving customers mis-information that persuade customers to purchase items at their store rather then at other HN stores. Larger male staff member was unable to keep up with the sales lies to continue his sale pitch to persuade sales from his store. Will never shop here again
I recently purchased a kitchen cooktop from Harvey Norman Nunawading. It was a smooth and pleasant transaction. Unfortunately we came across a problem (due to customer error). The staff at HN were very understanding and resolved the issue with no fuss. Special thanks must go to Mr Chung for his professional and attentive approach.
Bought a lounge suite with an alleged 5 year warranty. I have had 4 recline failures and have now been told that these parts of the lounge only have a 12 month warranty. Hardley Normal - useless furniture warranty. P.S. Stop Gaslighting people with your B.S. reply. I had already spoken to your Service Manager on several occasions.
Bought a washing machine and after a few months realised the hot water and cold water inlets were interchanged during installation. When you give a professional to do this job you'd expect better! Rang the store about it and they simply dismissed it and said no damage would occur to your machine. Poor service!
Big Appliances and Furniture store. Moderate prices, more expensive than on-line only stores, but with the advantage that you can try or see the product. They have click and collect and delivery services as well as in store shopping. Staffing was good when I visited. I was in and out with a purchase in minutes
Worst experience ever. When you ask what kind of deal they could make for one product around $1300, the sales said “ If you are looking for something $1000 dollars discount, I cannot give you anything." If sarcasm was the major sales skill of Harvey Norman Nunawading, then that's fine, you win.
We purchased a mattress and base from John and Guy in the bedding section can’t speak highly enough of their professionalism they stepped us thru everything we needed to know and more. Fantastic experience congratulations to Harvey Norman for having people like John and Guy in the business.
I won’t go into detail about the run-around I experienced with a simple click and collect order cause the story is too long. But please save yourselves the trouble and walk 150 metres to The Good Guys or Jb Hi Fi next door. Easy the worst service I’ve experienced in a retail store. Avoid.
Great customer service as always. Ordered the TV one day, delivered the next day, with good sms alerts letting me the delivery status and expected drop off. My ovens and washing machine were no exceptions. Keep up the great service Gerry and team, you have one loyal customer right here.
Bought a new phone yesterday. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Answered all my questions, and outlined my options leaving the decision to me. Not their preferred sale option. Will not hesitate returning to this store in the future. Well done to the team of three I dealt with.
I just purchased a multi regional DVD player which I very helpful when I new wife brought her DVDS from Switzerland. We can enjoy the movies and TV programs from Switzerland. We are also considering purchasing some items for our lounge room, and kitchen. The staff was very helpful.
5 stars for Simon, who sold my partner and I a TV a little while back. He was super friendly and gave great suggestions based on our viewing habits and lifestyle. He was genuine and not at all salesy. We've loved our TV since and are so glad we were helped by Simon that day.
A good place to buy furniture and electronic appliances. Knowledgeable sales people . They will assist you with choices. Feel comfortable to ask them to match the price with other retailers. I buy from Harvest for their great after sales support
I don't normally review stores like Harvey Norman. The service was excellent and friendly and pricing was better than three of their competitors. It does pay to do your research, know your pricing . Then ensure you ring Harvey Norman last.
Huge place with lots and lots of products on display. Went in for a Samsung microwave oven. Came out with a Panasonic inverter model that was on special . Friendly staff member helped carrying it out to the car. Thank you. …
Poor customer service from TV department, A guy name Simon try to avoid responsibility when he miss direct me on a tv claim process, will not recommend people to buy tv from this store, go to other harvey norman!
The salesman who actually served me was good but he needed someone to help unlock a door. This man was soooo busy texting on his phone he didn't bother to give me any eye contact even when I said thank you
I phoned the store for a price on a fridge. The salesman was not polite and couldn't bother listening to my question. Won't bother calling that store again. Ended up calling Richmond and they were awesome.
For all those people complaining of customer service. Ask for BENJAMIN from electrical. Thanks sore for the wonderful care, you deserve to be rewarded for your incredible customer service! Thank you.
Had the worst Harvey Norman experience from the fridge department sales, ever. The old man doesn’t know how to communicate with customers, unprofessional. Go to the good guys, just the next door!
Customer service is atrocious. Stay away. Overpriced furniture that breaks down within 6 months . The store manager Tracy thinks you shouldn’t use handles on recliner‘s. Appalling.
It's definitely a major default. The customer service refused to replace a new one. Its a horrible shoping experience. Disappointed with Harvey Norman customer service.
Great customer service. Had to exchange an online item and the staff were very helpful and efficient. Thank you to Robyn W from Tech and Kasey from Small appliances!
We went to get a vacuum. We met Casey. He knew all about them. He helped us (a lot) and we left with a vacuum. Best part. It works will for us!! Thanks Casey.
Got a new fridge delivered, but had to call them back again because they broke one of the legs while installing it. Avoid Harvey Norman. Don't recommend.
Caelan, you are the best. We love your attitude and recommendations. The entire team in the store are very polite and the best. Wishing you all the best.
shamcompaign. The promoter said there were rebate coupons for Black Friday, but after purchasing we were told there would be no rebates this year.
I bought a phone and it was 3 year's warranty included . Harvey Norman said not warranted and my phone was still 2 and a half year's warranty
Highly recommend Harvey Norman Nunawading, Thank you to Robin and Caelan for your excellent customer service. Very happy with my new phone
I don’t have good experience with flooring sections They are not professional and their costumer service is terrible
Great prices and service - I was served by Boni (in the laptops section), who was very friendly and helpful.
Excellent service today from Richard in the IT department. Greatly appreciated his most personable today.
Got the Mobile on Clearance lucky last 4 had to travel to get 2. Saved $$$ staff were helpful. Thank You
Service was great! Shop was very tidy clean and easily navigated. Thumbs up to the electrics section.
Not all advertised stocks available to view. Waste of time travelling there to experience first hand.
helpful, staff have not been pushy, there are not great discounts in the whitegoods area in Jun 23.
Absolutely the biggest store ive ever been in. Practically has one of everything & in every colour
The salesperson Edgar was very helpful and knowledgeable with the product. Very patient too.
Great customer service competitive pricing and they had what I wanted in stock
The lady who attended me was polite and helpful. Everything was good.
Not bad. Good stocks, you can find most items you are after in there.
Extremely helpful staff. Great range of products.
