I first saw Dr. Shinkaruk as an emergency patient. He replaced a broken filling for me. I have seen three dentists since (work transfers) and every one of them raves about the filling. When your peers respect you, it says a lot. I am back in Calgary and he is my family dentist. My kids love him! He really relates to kids. His hygienist Kaylee and front end person Marina are amazing. He is gentle, explains treatment options and talked me out of cosmetic dentistry and instead sent me to Dr. Boutin (equally good) to fix my bite, NOT cover with expensive dentistry.

My wife recently recommended her dentist Dr. Shinkaruk knowing I wasn't very happy with my last dentist (after eight crowns I was starting to question whether some of the work was necessary). What struck me the most was how friendly the entire staff were, and how they were more concerned on saving teeth rather than performing expensive procedures! While I've only gone a few times I feel compelled to put in a good word for Hawkwood Village Dental as they are professional as well as fun to be around.

This is hands down the best dental experience I’ve ever had and I’ve been to many offices. The staff were friendly, accommodating and experienced. Dr. Shinkaruk was very honest, knowledgeable & detailed in his assessment. He took the time to thoroughly explain and educate me on my dental health. This is a prime example of a business that prioritizes a quality customer experience. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Shinkaruk and his team to anyone looking for dental services!!!

I am from out of province and I had the misfortune of a crown falling out. I called early in the morning and got an appointment the same day. The staff was very professional and the Dentist was amazing. Thank you very much for all your Dental Professionalism. They put ten needles in my sons mouth and it didn’t freeze all the way and just RIPED HIS TOOTH OUT he screamed and they didn’t stop… this dentist is bad for little kids
