I took my two dogs before we had a third dog to this Vet because it was close by. I once had an encounter with the receptionist who commented on the way I groomed my Sheltie, and said it didn't look good and that her hair would never grow back the same. (It does, and my dog is very happy in the heat shorter and looks adorable) Very bad attitude. We noticed the prices seemed outrageous, they would always add additional shots and fees last minute so this caused us to go to Transcona Veterinary Hospital and I am so glad we did! They are so friendly there, they are genuine and actually care about your pets and the savings is 2-300$ per visit. No extra fees or scams just exactly what your pet needs! During Covid-19 this vet also wouldn't give out tick medication or heartworm without bringing your dog in and paying an exam fee where Transcona's response was during this pandemic we want all dogs to be safe and our staff so we will run the medication out to your car-no exam fee. I still receive mail from Henderson even though all our files were sent to Transcona. Today I called to have that stopped and asked the price for my dog's visit out of curiosity. Again, the person on the phone added an additional vaccine that wasn't even on my reminder notice and when I questioned it she said "that is weird?" I don't write reviews but after this experience and how great the other vet is I wanted to recommend to check them out!

So went in with my pet a while ago because had serious concerns on health. Was expecting and x ray or ultrasound or you know basically any diagnosis. Nope none just thats seems normal. While for someonewho have had dozens of pets of this type and had this one for months can say right off nope not normal or wouldnt be here. Drove across the city and got a $100 bill for a physical exam to get zero answers a dismissal to use the tools available they readily have that could diagnose it in minutes to now have to book another appointment with the vet there that will do the needed tests or go to another vet to just specifically get the test i want. Should have been a 5 minute thing and a answer on whats wrong. Not telling me its normal or we can send you the cost on a stupidly expensive surgury. (Do theh need it? Have absolutely no clue as they didnt do the tests to determine. Can you do the tests? They just sidestepped it and said i think its normal? Seriously. They have some great vets here seriously top knotch and unfortunately some bad ones as well. Its kind of a coin toss sometimes make sure you have your questions ready and a firm understanding of what you want done as sometimes you have to ask several times. They are affordable though and have a great system of being upfront on costs and options which is refreshing.

I could never EVER go back there. I went there for a couple of years (convenient location as I do not drive) and always got the feeling they were all about the money. I should have trusted my guts! One of my dogs was not feeling well so I took him there. We were regulars so they knew about his history, etc... My dog was coughing really bad and breathing fast. His abdomen was swollen. A few hundred $ later, they tell me his heart is fine and that it might be kennel cough. I ask about his swollen abdomen, they tell me to put him on a diet so he will stop gaining weight. My dog had had kennel cough before but this cough seemed different. Sure enough, a few weeks later, as I was away on vacation, I get a text from my pet sitter (professional pet sitter!) telling me she was on her way to her nearest vet as my little guy was not breathing properly. He died in the car... The autopsy revealed a congestive heart failure. His swollen abdomen was all fluids. To the point that his heart was no longer able to pump any blood. I feel awfully guilty, and upset and disappointed. It's not about the $ spent, it's about the trust I put in a professional for nothing.

June 17th, 2020. Scheduled appointment for Wellness checkup, everything good, annual pokes and summer tests.. all good. Very accommodating during this pandemic. Spoke with vet on phone from outside re any concerns, she explained what'll be done, and a cost estimate. Staff came out in mask, as was I, for Lasagna, my dog. I waited outside, in car, and vet called when done, explained all she did and his good reports, then staff explained the invoice, I paid over phone, Lasagna came out with staff, in mask again, and away we went... Today, may28/19, my dog was groomed, he's never looked nor smelled so GOOD. Super pleased with grooming! The following is fm 10 months ago.. took my cat there years ago.. fine.. no complaints. hv been taking my 10 yr old retriever cross there for 2 years.. no complaints. had tried low calorie food but he didn't like it and I was able to return opened bag. he always looks great after his grooming. staff are always friendly and helpful. I did find some annual meds expensive but wow, no complaints on the results! will continue to go there.

In reality, the only reason we go there is because of the proximity. When we are there, I can't help but get the feeling that they want you to spend as much money as possible. For example, one poster suggests that you buy your dog allergy medicine because they might be allergic to grass if they sneeze while in it (which obviously you would first have to pay for an allergy test). Or, there's the one about buying something for a cat if the cat doesn't go in the litter box. The fact of the matter is that animals have been surviving and living for millions of years without all the extras that we are now pressured into paying for by playing on our emotions (e.g. if you don't pay, you're not a good pet owner). We all want our pets to be healthy, but paying $1300 for a dental cleaning for a dog that weighs less than 5 pounds is a bit extreme. I have no doubt that the people working there are nice, decent people, but we all have to remember that this whole cycle of owning a pet is a business at the end of the day and always will be.

I enjoyed the fact that the vet office is within walking distance of me but the last two times I was in, the front desk people were naming and shaming clients regarding their financial situations. Both times, it was different customer names and different pet names they used. I was appalled this last time I was in, the two women were bashing a customer not being able to come in. That was particularity nasty and they named the woman, her pet and discussed the conversation the lady had with the front desk person. For this reason, I will not return to that office. It's none of my business who their clients are or who's struggling to make rent. That should not be a discussion for the reception area / waiting room nor should it be a conversation with a co-worker if that client is not even present to defend their situation. Disgusting behaviour and no regard for privacy laws. Too bad, I'll miss the convenience of the location.

I have been taking my cats there over many decades, all to the same vet (Dr. Singh), and many of the vet techs (friendly faces) have remained the same as well. When there were health changes with any of them, and we had to travel the long road or sickness or saying goodbye, it was awful and tough. But the staff made it better. They were always caring and compassionate. I've had three cats over 2-3 decades and have always gone there. We've gone through diabetes, epilepsy, IBS/cancer and numerous other things. They care for you and your pet. I personally don't question the cost, but I haven't shopped around, I just go to who I trust and know I'm paying for their experience/history/location/relationship with me and my cats. I took my dog here for the first time when I was 9 months pregnant and in a lot of discomfort. The front desk staff watched me struggle to bring my dog into the office and never once offered to help. I have been to other vet hospitals where staff offer to help bring the dog inside, but here no one lifted a finger, they just watched me. The second time i booked an appointment but missed it due to my husband being in emerg the night before and me being home with a newborn so we completely forgot and slept through the appointment the next morning. I explained the situation over the phone and was told that I would have to pay the 80 dollars no show fee no matter what the reason was for missing the appointment. Needless to say, I booked my dog to be seen elsewhere. Never again.

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my experience at this vet office. The front desk staff were kind and I am thankful they fit me into the schedule as my regular vet was booked today. I was concerned that my dog had bloody diarrhea and wanted him to get checked out ASAP. It felt that the vet was pushing numerous tests and costs with weak reasoning or that weren't 100% necessary. After an 800$ bill, the vet was still unable to provide a specific diagnosis and ultimately prescribed the same medication we talked about prior to testing. I left feeling very frustrated, not only because of the final price, but because they performed so many tests and were unable to give me a definitive answer. Seemed wasteful of time, money and resources.

They were nice at first. But I saw how they slowly wanted to do a lot for somthing that was very apparent what was wrong. And wanted to charge me 1000$ for somthing that another very said would normally cost more like 300$. Which I could get over, they like to over charge. But they also wanted to amputate more then was needed to up the bill which really made me sick. I found another clinic that was fantastic and helped my animal with loosing the least amount of their body and at a economical price. Also after that doctor came in the room another one walked in thinking that was his next case...very disorganized. And the tables the animals sit on, along with the whole back of the clinic smelled terrible...like urine

I've take my cat to Henderson Animal Hospital for years and she's always received great treatment there. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and take their time with you. Dr Ray has always given Patches great care and even tried his best to avoid medication for her anxiety, wanting me try all other possible options before we resort to putting her on medication. Not only was he looking out for what was best for Patches, he was also trying to save me money by avoiding the ongoing costs for her medicine. Friendly, good at what they do, they look out for the animals best interests first and foremost and will try to avoid unnecessary costs for the owner when possible. What more can you ask?

My fur babies have been patients at Henderson Animal Hospital for many years. We recently had a near death experience with our pup Arya. Dr. Singh and the staff were tremendous during her journey towards recovery. Dr. Ray diagnosed her Addison’s disease and sent us to emergency care, which saved her life. Both doctors are genuinely caring and gifted. Dr. Singh phoned us directly every day and was relentless in finding out why our girl was so sick…and he truly was invested. The staff is also fabulous and caring. The techs were all so professional and gentle, and the front office staff are amazing…special thanks to Adrian and Kendra!!! Total money grab, Didn’t fully treat my dogs ear infection in order to have me come back again. They try to force a follow up, knowing they didn’t fully treat the problem the first time. I called back three weeks later to “follow up” as I noticed his infection came back full force, and I was told “it’s too late you should’ve booked a follow up when we offered it to you now it’s going to be full price “. I asked if it was possible to speak the the vet, as it’s hard for me to get him there- and was hold he doesn’t waste his time on clients phone calls . Another vet, down the road said the treatment prescribed was incorrect, and likely why they force a “half price” follow up.

Where do I begin. We've had many awful experiences with this location (we have no vehicle and it's the closest for us). The receptionists are rude and the vets weren't interested in diagnosing our new puppy's issues, they were just interested in racking up a giant vet bill. We had to cab half way across the city to get a real diagnosis for him. We are extremely unimpressed with this veterinary office and have spent probably almost $1000 there in two years. We wont be going back (other than going to return the wrong bag of food they mistakenly gave us). I will gladly go out of my way not to go there. I do not recommend them for anyone.

This used to be a good vet clinic. Although the reception is really friendly the veterinarian that I saw last season was not very professional. No skills in dealing with dogs with any signs if aggression or fear. The vet techs were also very unhelpful to the point of being unprofessional. The most recent visit including the past visit the technologist was down right rude. No longer is this clinic a clinic I would refer anyone to. Hopefully Dr. Singh will correct or improve the staff and their service in short order. Very disappointed with the very poor service or lack thereof received!.

Would not even give it a star. My cat has a bad bladder infection with blood in urine. needed to see a vet. been to this Vet before already has a file, Was told when trying to make the apt that in order to get a apt even booked they were requesting a payment over the phone for the exam almost $85.00 Was able to get her into another vet without paying anything up front for booking a appointment. Absolutely ridiculous that a Clinic could even do this to someone, care for animals I don't think so! They only care about the money it seems like. Trust you with our fur babies Shame on People!

Took my dog in for Cherry Eye. They gave me all sorts of pills, ointments etc and nothing worked. They kept trying to give me more. At one point giving me twice as much as I needed. I had to catch it on the statement for them to realize it. The stitches came out two days after surgery and they tried to say it was swelling and suggested steroids. I went to another vet who confirmed it was not swelling and that the surgery was unsuccessful. Henderson Animal Hospital just said "ya that happens sometimes". Big money pit at Henderson Animal Hospital. Even the good reviews say it's pricey.

The Henderson Animal Hospital is a friendly, wonderful place to take your pets for care. They have friendly staff who treat your pets with suck kindness. I have taken most of my pets to them over the years including my two dogs I have now Luna and Kinder. Their costs are fair for the services they provide and they are always willing to help you with any questions or concerns you may have. Also, the added bonus is that the Vet is close to where my family lives, so we just walk the dogs there. When I take my dogs in I know they are in good hands and give them the best care possible.

I really like Dr. Singh and some of the assistants. I have not had the best experiences with some of the staff there. A couple of them have not been very polite and would only take our cat in during the week because he was aggressive! Sorry, but we rescued him and had no way to train him, yet he is fine at home! We unfortunately had to take him elsewhere to get the kind of service we needed. Some people need to remember we are the customers who contribute to your salary! Thank you to the vets, they are very nice and kindness is what we need, especially during the tough times!

Been bringing my dog here for 10 years. Had multiple growths surgically removed, also suffers from severe seizures. Now my dog is in need of being put down due a documented large internal growth on his side and side effects of his most recent seizure leaving him unable to use his back legs. Refused to put down without charging an exam fee to say yes he has all these problems they already have documented(last seen 6 months ago for an exam). Zero compassion for us or our dog. Do not recommend anyone use this clinic. Their only concern is money not their clients or pets.

The receptionist, Adrienne, is the worst most disrespectful belittling unprofessional customer service representative. I have never been so belittled and disrespected by any place of business where I'm oozing to spend my money to have my pet cared for. Hung up on 3 times, changed her story 3 times. Our Monty had his first vet appt with Dr. Napier. Her and the assistant could not have been nicer and gentle. Monty was not scared at all. Got a shot and check up and nails clipped. In a nice neighbourhood mall . Lots of parking and good bus route. Groomer on site too. Lots of food and necessary items for sale. Took Monty for his annual check and needles today. Everyone there is gentle and kind and he just sat in the bottom part of crate and let them do their exam. Had to have a few changes and will try our very best to implement them before next visit.

On two different occasion I brought my puppy to the Henderson Animal Hospital for grooming and both times had an awful experience with their groomer, Heather. She was rude, condescending and not pleasant at all to talk or deal with. After raising my concerns with the staff, I was told my complaint would be taken to the boss since they had already had several complaints about Heather in that same month. I never received a follow up from any of the staff after voicing my concerns of my experiences and have since found a new place for grooming.

Years ago my family brought our dog here and they treated her so well and were always very caring. Now I have a dog and cat of my own and they still offer the same kindness and respect. The women at the desk are always super helpful and the doctors are always informative and treat both our pets with care. When we have brought our pets in for something they always call to follow up to see how they have progressed. I know some reviewers complained about the price but really it’s not much different compared to any other vet.

Not even worth a one star review. These people are absolute crooks and must have graduated at the bottom of the class. They have no idea how to assess an animal for leg injuries, and tried to say my dog needed surgery on both legs ($6000+) . Went for a second opinion at another clinic and after watching the vet do a number of checks on my dogs legs they found that one knee had an injury but was healing fine and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the other leg. This place should be shut down and their licenses pulled.

I recently moved to the area, but was still seeing my previous vet across town. I had been picking up food here and found the front staff friendly and helpful. Getting tired of making the drive to my previous vet, I decided to transfer files to Henderson. Dr Aslani was very thorough, listened to my concerns and suggested new things to try for my cats stubborn chin acne. It felt scary to change clinics after being with my previous one for 10 years, but they made the experience pleasant Nelson is doing well now!

I have taken my pets there since I was a kid. I now take Lenny Archie and Sully there for all of their needs. All of the Vets are great. Love the girls at the front. Always friendly and all meds are ready for my boys when I need refills. Two years ago our 11 yr old Lab Barney was at the end of his time with us as he had cancer. And they made the horrible experience more comfortable for us. Very compassionate and respectful. I recommend all my friends twitch pets I. The area to go to this clinic. Thanks Staff!

Do not take your animals here to be killed! They quoted and were ready to put my cat down right than and there! Said she had a tumour. No bloodwork or testing done whatsoever. Took her to my regular vet ( as they were busy the day of incident) and she was perfectly fine!! Would have lost my cat for absolutely no reason! Disgusting place do not go!! Have heard other horror stories from there as well and cannot imagine how many loved pets have been lost due to this place. They are kind, dont let it fool you.

amazing experience, dr. singh is so great with all animals, my entire family goes to see him because he's just the most patient and the sweetest. i brought my kitten to see him for the first time and the kitten was so comfortable because dr. singh is just so calm. even the technicians are so informative and helpful. they sent my kitten a postcard afterwards thanking him for the visit - very cute. would highly recommend seeing any of the experienced professionals at the henderson animal hospital!

My dog was a regular patient at Henderson Animal Hospital. I recently had to put my best friend down and I can not believe that during 10 years of regular visits for wellness checks and pest meds, that bloodwork was never offered nor suggested for my dog. Just in and out. She was born Sept.23 2011. She wasn't even 13. I feel the outcome could have been different if these simple procedures had been done much earlier. She was a very special dog. Those blue eyes will be missed by many....

The staff are extremely professional and have the best interests for the dogs I bring in. I have three dogs myself and I'm also a certified service dog trainer. They always provide the space and Independence for the service dogs as they are not allowed to meet other domestic dogs. Ridiculous! I was looking to get just a price for what it would cost to examine my pet and they had to over complicate everything! They would not even quote me! How can I make an appointment if I don't know the cost? Veterinarians these days are just looking to fill their pockets and they don't care about the animals. SAD. I thought these guys were different but I guess not. Don't bring you beloved pet here. SHAME ON YOU HENDERSON ANIMAL HOSPITAL!

They have been very accomodating. The first time I called them due to my puppy's health concern, they took us at once. No hesitations at all. Mikaela was very pleasant and friendly. Dr. Napier was very professional and very detailed in checking my puppy. Clinic was very clean. Staff were very friendly and pleasant. My family and I are very happy that we transferred my Bonjing to this clinic. I feel comfortable that he will be well taken care of.

Huge thank you to Dr.Singh for my experience today with my dog. They helped make me feel comfortable and answered every question I had super promptly and help me get my pup in to see them asap. Our experience at Henderson Animal Hospital was excellent yesterday. We got in quickly, tests were done and we got the results immediately. Dr, Napier was very friendly and professional. We would have given it 5 stars if they had a 10% Seniors discount as they do at our regular vet, Transcona Animal Hospital. Will we switch, not sure, doesn’t take us long to get to Transcona for a 10% discount and the vets are also excellent there.

Terrible service and completely unwelcoming, went in to get some simple vet wrap for my puppy but was treated with cold, rude employees. The owner, or the person I can assume is the owner, also had the nerve to whisper to the person i was dealing with at the teal to make sure I was paying for my items? What would give you the impression I wasn't? I wont be returning to this vet, my pets and everyone else's deserve much better.

My family has been dealing with Henderson Animal Hospital for over 20 years. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They have gone above and beyond to give special attention to each and every one of our pets over the years. In difficult and heartbreaking situations, they have been kind, compassionate and understanding.We would recommend them to anyone looking for an honest and trusting veterinary clinic.

Not the best vet clinic for my pet to be honest. We ended up transferring our cat to a different clinic after a year, due to his specific needs. I say it isn't the best vet clinic because there were instances of upselling unnecessary pills/treatment, instances of "talking down". However, out of the 3 vets there, dr. Ray was the most knowledgeable, kind and sincere vet we have dealt with at Henderson Vet.

The owner, Dr. Singh, is a WONDERFUL veterinarian. Dr. Napier is good too. Dr. Moghsdam is both unkind and a subpar vet; I wish they’d fire him. Prices are a bit high, but they were great about treating my dog’s anxiety. The groomer is okay, not the best, and a bit judgmental about (even small) mats. The front desk people are a bit disorganized and some aren’t very nice, but I’ve seen worse.

Did not help my pet feel comfortable! No enthusiasm when working with my pup not even a treat was given! She felt overwhelmed and then was told by one of the women there that my pup must not be properly trained bec she yelped loudly while getting blood tested! SHE is obviously terrified! She wasnt warmed up to the visit at all. The only thing I was happy about was that her results were good.

I took our two new kittens for their first time check ups. Because of the covid restrictions, they had everything set up pretty well they were very professional and they were very prompt. The only thing that was difficult was talking to them with the noise from the surrounding areas. But we got through it and all went well. I would like to thank them for their dedication..

We are long time customers here just because we live in the area. We had 2 cats for 16+ years. We loved the cats like family so vet bills although very high we paid. Example Harry had a 3 day surgery back in 2005 that cost $2400. We thought that's what vets cost. Warning people Henderson animal hospital is expensive. I have been going to Henderson for 12 years. Myself and my animals have been treated kindly and fairly. All the Vet Assistants/receptionist are super friendly as are all the techs. Dr. Singh is very kind and gentle. A great vet! I would recommend! I have lived in different parts of the city over the years but never switched vets because of the great service here.

DO NOT take your pet here for grooming! I took my 4 month old puppy for a trim and they shaved her without my permission. They told me it was because she had knots but we had her groomed a month prior and brush her daily. They didn’t even give her a bath and charged me $50! The receptionist at the front made me pay before I even saw her....disgusting.

Poor front desk staff. Emotional support animal left out to suffer Refused to allow me access to my vet. Refused transferring my files in a way I requested. I love Henderson Animal Hospital. My most recent experience with the front staff as well as with Dr Singh was so wonderful. I have been coming in for about 2 years and it is always a pleasant experience. They really make you and pet feel comfortable. I never leave feeling like it is a business making money. It is paying for consistency and care.

4 people up front we're fine. However I took my dog for shots and not only had to lift my dog on to the table but I had to hold her for the shots to be administered. I didn't want to be in there to see my dog get shots AT ALL. And for the price charged I certainly shouldn't have to. Not impressed at all. Will definitely not be going back there.

The vet is ok. However this place is all about getting you for the exam fee. The receptionist was super rude and unaccommodating. The exam fee is high and the vet techs don't check anything . No temperature taking... No ear check... No eye check...No questions of history... nothing. The exam fee has gone up over 20%. Total rip off.

I've been taking our dogs here for years. Dr. Singh really knows his stuff and has always been kind and helpful. The rates are reasonable, but owning pets us sometimes not cheap. They were very compassionate and understanding when we had to put one of our dogs down. And the service during the pandemic has been outstanding.

Usually, the service is very good. This time there has been a delay with a response. Phoned and asked two times about the medication that was prescribed. The doctor is busy with a patient. Understandable. What about after hours? Can the doctor check a note left for him and send an email response or a message on my phone?

Dr. Napier is very good with my bunnies. She’s very knowledgeable and tries her best in being accommodating for my bunny who has a recurring case of snuffles. The front desk staff are always kind and caring. I even get a call a few days after the appointment asking how my bunnies are! I definitely recommend this vet!

Fantastic at what they do. The staff are super helpful and accommodating, whether it's at appointment time or if we need to rush one of our pets in. The vets are knowledgeable and explain everything very clearly. Never felt like they were trying to sell us anything that our pets didn't need. Highly recommended.

My husband and I have been taking our two cats here for years. Great place, great staff, affordable pricing too from what I've gathered from some comparisons I've done with friends. Highly recommend to anyone needing a vet. Our cats have been seen by most of the veterinarians here, and they've all been lovely.

Stay away from this place, people are so rude and rude to you as if a dog checkup is free, otherwise the prices are extremely high for the service you get and I really don't think of going back there, not to mention the hygiene, really awful! If I could, I would leave a -5 rating!

Extremely organized and friendly. Level of service is fantastic, we are a first time dog owner and we always leave totally informed and understanding in the ongoing care of or dog. Their covid procedure and protocol is strict and well enforced an we felt very confident with it.

My daughter wants to be a veterinarian when she's older and we mentioned it to the Dr. He let my daughter help throughout our puppies appointment and even assist in taking her temp and watch closely on medications. My daughter was thrilled our old vet never was so personable.

Terrible communication and terrible service. Told me my cats condition was due to stress when he actually had a crystal blockage and couldn’t pass urine, he spent 2 days at Pembina emergency vet 3 days after my apt with Henderson vet

Everyone at H.A.H. is helpful, friendly and thoroughly professional. We know that our 'pups' are in the best possible hands and these days that's so important when every day is a gift. We wouldn't consider going anywhere else!

Terrible grooming salon! My wife took our dog today, they cut it very badly. ((I'm upset. Save your nerves and money! We were in this salon for the first and last time! I do not recommend taking your children to them!

Both Dr. Singh and Dr. Napier are very knowledgeable abut ferrets. We get excellent care of our shelter ferrets. The front staff go out of their way to look after us. Sunny smiles every time.

Brought our rabbit in for neutering. Staff was great, caring and very informative. They called the next day for an update on the rabbits health/condition. Very impressed
