In short, go to Heros Gym for a cheap workout, but find something better if you are serious about lifting. For 75,000 VND you get a daily pass and you get access to a decent amount of good quality machines and ok benches. There's even a pretty good squat rack that was unused the whole time I spent there. If you're traveling and need to get a workout in, this is probably a good place. Take good note of the address though, as you will need all the help you can to find it. However, it was unbelievably hot inside. It was very crowded and not a small amount of the members were skinny shirtless guys. There's no place to deadlift or do any olympic weightlifting. The members were - for the most part - clueless about what they were doing. All of us had, at some point, to bench half our bodyweight - but I at least did it with a shirt on. If you want a permanent gym to improve your strength and well being, get a better gym and surround yourself with people who know what they are doing.
Dirty (both ceiling and floor), crowded in the morning with individuals sleeping on the very few benches. The variety of dumbbells is extremely limited. There are no bar clamps, and anyway the patrons are not using the few ones present, the discs are flying around from time to time. Equipment is old and in poor shape, nobody cares about maintenance. The patrons are, in general, rude and unaccustomed with gym etiquette. There is no use of cleaning the equipment after using it, or downloading the bars. Placing dumbbells on the rack after using them is unheard of. The ladies on the so-called front desk are completely useless, save for surfing Facebook. Overall, strongly not recommended!
The gym serves its purpose. I mostly lifted with free weights and barbells, and I got a month membership for $25. Pros: walking distance from old quarters, had no issues with staff, able to purchase water on site for similar price as a circle K, provides you a towel Cons: lack of a AC which just means more sweat and burning more calories, it’s stuffy with a lot of machines and little space to do abs/HIIT, there is a lady that cleans the floor but I haven’t seen anyone clean the mats/equipment. Bring hand sanitizer or gloves. If you are a value traveler, this gym is fine. If you want to pay 50% more for AC and other amenities. Go elsewhere like California fitness.
Best option for a gym I've found around the Tourist District of Hanoi. Great for a good whole body workout while on the road. Get a complimentary small bottle of water and towel included in the day-pass (which is a fair price). Only downside is the organisation and upkeep of the weights floor area. No gym etiquette at all or respect for equipment, plates, dumbbells, and bar clips scattered everywhere! Management and staff need to keep it more tidy, I felt like it was more clean when I left! Otherwise, well equipped gym and friendly staff
This gym cost 75,000 vnd for a 1-day pass that included a hand towel and locker. The gym is small but has everything I need for a good workout. It has flat and incline and decline benches, squat rack, cable station, pull-up bar, dumbbells, leg extensions, treadmills, spinning bikes. Not a fancy gym but a useful gym. I can here around 10:30 am and it wasn’t crowded. Bring your own water because it’s too expensive, IMO (10,000 vnd for .6ml). Friendly staff.
I guess the photos must have been taken when the equipment first went in. This gym is really messy and would benefit from the staff actually tidying some weights up. There are aircon units but these weren’t turned on so it was pretty hot unless you stood by a fan. Daily price is a bit expensive for what it is at 75k, but it did the job. There are cheaper, better alternatives elsewhere in the Old Quarter if you can get there.
They had a spin bike I could ride AND they even had a massive fan to cool me off. Had some decent free weights and a few machines. Functional shower and locker area. Best part.. .only like $3.00 to work out for one day! What's not to love??? Another gym nearby (not to name names but it's got the name of a US State where a movie star used to be the governor) is trying to charge $30.00 for one day.. so... yeah.
Heros Gym is absolutely sufficient for a good work-out. Okay, the Locker room is indeed a bit on the dirty side, as for the Lockers themselves. The bench in the sauna is perfect if one likes to have splinters inside the butt- even with a towel. The warm water in the shower is really nice- bring your own shampoo and shower gel-, and they provide slippers. Only work-out towels. Staff quite friendly.
It's a small gym compared to South Korean or American standards. So it's a bit cramped, but it does the job if you need a decent variety of equipment for a workout. The only real drawback is that there are few 15kg & 20kg plates, so you have to use a ton of tens if you are lifting heavy. Register in the morning as that's when an English speaker is there so you'll be registered properly.
Small gym but affordable and has what you need. 1 barbell squat rack, two full benches, a dumbbell area with enough roll out benches, decline bench, incline bench, military press bench, pull up bar, cable machine, a few old cycling bikes and decent teadmills along with standard bulky machines you’d see in a 24 hour fitness. Best part of the gym is the no shoes policy.
If you are a powerlifter avoid this gym. The equipment is not up to scratch. That's if you can find any after it's been scattered all around the gym. Its extremely hot in there too, running only 1 fan. The place is very small and had around 8 staff who sat around on their phones the whole time instead of cleaning up. Safety clips are all busted too.
Ok gym to get a workout done. Not much specialty equipment but enough free weights and bars to get the job done. Seems weights have never been re-racked and the place is a bit dusty so just be prepared to search for what you need. Gym also has cardio machines for anyone eho requires them. 75k for one visit and they do a multi day special.
Very affordable drop in rates. 75000 Dong which is a fair price. Not the fanciest gym, but has most of the stuff you might need for a workout. All you need are the weights anyways. It gets the job done. Staff is friendly too. You won't be able to lift over 180 kg with the barbell though as they really only have 10 kg plates.
All the basic equipments are here for a full body workout, including squat rack, bench (incline, flat, & decline). Also have showers, lockers, and toilet with tissue. They have very friendly staff! The staff offered to help me with plastic bags for my sneakers since it was pouring rain! Highly recommend coming here.
In here i feel so comfortable and exciting because the coach in here is so enthusiastic and passionate that help me to woirkout in a right form, right programn could gave me a lot of results. So in conclusion , i think Heros Gym is one of best thing u could try and experiment in Ha Noi, Ba Dinh District. Love it <3
You get a full body workout in, yes. Still the cleaniness of the changing room leaves a lot to desire. The barbells are only 10 kg hand have limited possibilities to take up plates, some are bend. The ground is uneven, so it was for me not possible to go nearly as heavy as I do at home.
Good gym for being in Hanoi old quarter. Daily fee of 75k or weekly fee of 300k. Big bottle of cold water 15k. Free towel. Friendly staff. The gym is a bit small and equipments are a bit run down though. But you cant really ask for too much being in Hanoi central district.
Lived in Hanoi for 3 weeks and took out a membership for a month. Cost me about 39€, which is not cheap, but the facilities were good and I could have joined yoga classes. Was always there with my wife around 11am and it was super empty. The staff were also very friendly.
Got the monthly membership. No AC so it’s getting hot and stinky inside. No one uses towels and the place is filthy - it hasn’t been cleaned since Ho Chi Minh. Sauna and steam room are not functional. The only reason we came was no better options at this price.
The gym has proper weights, enough machine variation to train while on holiday. They have locker but dirty, the gym is located in an alley, but overall the gym is good for a quick bodybuilding training session. You pay for 75.000 Vietnam Dong per visit.
Very nice gym with lots of equipment. We paid 75k each and received a fresh towel and a locker. The changing room as well as the gym in general was very clean, which was a nice change compared to some others in Hanoi. We'll be back in a couple of days!
Has everything you need, I mainly come here for the Yoga classes, which are fantastic! As for workout you can get everything you need done, but I also recommend an upgrade of workout equipment, especially bench press machines and back row machines.
Gym is extremely disorganized. While I was taking a shower lights went off. Apparently they closed it up and I was left alone in the darkness. I managed to get out through the underground parking. It wasn’t even 9PM Kinda scary, horrible!!!
The staff were on their smartphones while the gym equipment was dirty, disorganized and scattered all over the weight room. However, there was a full set of free weights and enough machines to have a complete workout. I paid 150,000 VND.
Opening hours are correct (rare for Vietnam). Has a single day rate of 70,000 VND, and gas a fridge with cheap cold water in it. Decent selection of machines and not too busy even at peak hours (when I visited on a Monday at 7pm).
Good gym to use when in Hanoi, I got a week pass for $12.00, mix of free weights and friction machines, bikes and treadmills. Also they have a yoga studio. Obviously not brand new kit but a good option, they have installed Aircon
Good price, and friendly staff. Lots of benches and a squat rack. Can do dips, pullups, cable crossover etc.. a little too light dumbells (28kg max i think) but all in all with a little improvising this gym is really good value.
Really helpful staff able to lend a hand with spotting. Cheap bottles of water compared to some shops. Very good price for the day... 75k VND. Just over £2.50 and it's very quiet on a Saturday morning.
The staff are nice, but 200k for a day pass is super high for the quality of the gym. It wasn't crowded when I went, but they only had standard bars rather than olympic bars, so not great for lifting.
Paid 200k for a day entry which included a towel, water, and locker. Staff were very nice, but the quality of the gym was not great for the price. Showers/bathrooms could use a deep clean and repair.
Great opportunity to get in a solid workout while traveling. Clean, staff is friendly. Showers and towels available which is a life saver when traveling. Would definitely recommend if in the area!
Por 75000 dong me pare my bien
Not a great gym. The equipment are really old, there was a mess all around, the fridge was broken, no air con. It was ok for going once, but I would look for another one of the next time.
Great service. They offer both help and personal training in English. There are all the essential equipment and a sauna and a steam room in both the men's and the women's locker rooms.
Not the most modern or best equipment but does have a squat rack and free weights. Price is well worth it at 75k per day which is 1/10th of what the other gyms charge in the area.
Good price, good zumba timetable and trainers! The rooms are good! A tiny minus is smell of rug or sweat all over the second floor. …
Paid 150k vnd for 1 day entry. Good price for a great gym. Got literally everything you could need for a good workout whilst travelling
Offers everything you need. You can squat, benchpress and deathlift here. Very reasonable price for a casual visit with 75000 (3 Euro).
Dịch vụ tốt , nhân viên nhiệt tình , huấn luyện viên chuyên nghiệp vui vẻ nhiệt tình Đáng để trải nghiệm ! Great gym club to trial !
Alles okay. Staff freundlich. Schließfach vorhanden
Nhân viên ok, phòng tập ko quá mới, giờ tan tầm khá đông nên mùi hoocmon hơi khó chịu xíu, lớp nhảy or yoga có giáo viên dạy ok

Awesome gym. It's small, but you'll find everything you need. Daily pass for 75.000 VND is a great deal and benefit-cost ratio.
Great gym for an efficient workout. Small but well running AC, towels and water available. Friendly staff and good music too.
Small gym with basic equipment - gets the job done. Gym is a little dirty but not the end of the world. I paid 75k VND.
75,000 vnd for a day pass and towel. Solid gym with basic equipment for a workout away from home. Would return again.
The gym is ok, they have not that much machines and the music was way to loud. But i am still spoiled by Thailand.
It's a great place for training, very quiet early in the morning, and just for 75.000 daily pass.
