Fails to honor reservations, consistently. I have had this problem with Hertz La Jolla recently, several times, and on the mots recent case saw other customers with the same issue. If you make an online reservation weeks in advance you expect the car to be ready for pickup as per the agreement.

I booked a car here 5 days before the pick-up day, but they didn;t tell me they and almost the entire SD areas ran out of cars until I arrived at there, and there were 6 other poor guys waiting for cars like me. My travel plan almost got ruined!

A male staff with accent is extremely unfriendly. He raised his voice when getting impatient. He would even deliberately says he is not talking to you. I would rather avoid future visit.

This is for the La Jolla Hertz in the Marriott. I don’t remember the managers name but he was extremely helpful with my rental and fees.

They were jerks about the gas because it was not 100% full, even though I returned it at the 80% level I got it. Otherwise it was fine.
