"If you want to stay in communication with anyone regarding your academic records or attendance at this school, DO NOT EXPECT A CALL BACK! Their communication skills are the worst! I am currently in the process of trying to communicate with my advisor, Mr"
"When i spoke with financial aid initially they told me that everything would be covered by scholarships and grants, as i was already in classes doing work for two weeks before they called me again to tell me that i have to pay $3500 for one semester or $500 a month for 4 years because the grants werent enough to cover everything! Had i known this beforehand i would have opted for a cheaper school or something different The trust has been ruined, i will not be attending this school anymore"
"*ONLINE STUDENT* Teachers are largely unavailable"
"Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! Horrible communication from the admissions team"
I just received my bachelor's from Herzing University, and I cannot say that I would recommend this school to anyone. For those looking to pursue education exclusively online, I would say that this program is pretty straightforward, however, being on the Atlanta campus was stressful more than half of the time. When I started there in 2013, there were a number of professors that were so passionate about teaching (for instance Mrs. Hess, Mr.Moore and Dr. Friedman <---this guy had to be the best instructor to teach mathematics I've ever had) but to my knowledge, they've all left the campus. Now, it seems like they're understaffed and just unprofessional overall. I had a professor tell me that they asked him to teach a course the day before (leaving him unprepared, and I honestly felt that he was unqualified to teach the class (but when the lesson plans are laid out for you I suppose anyone can teach anything). In the time that I was there, there were three academic deans and three presidents. I tried to get assistance with tutoring once, and I had to literally chase them down to respond to me. Then, three weeks into the class with no tutor and the dean asked me, "Do you think getting a tutor at this point is worth it?" Seeing as though this was the last class I needed to graduate, I was baffled. What kind of question is that to ask a student? When enrolling here, I was under the impression that I would be able to take the majority of my classes on campus. I was a criminal justice student, and the majority of my criminal justice courses, and none of my law classes were available on ground. I pretty much just took my gen-ed classes on campus, and ended up online for two years because none of my other classes were offered on ground. To wrap this up, if you're looking to take classes exclusively online, then sure, give this school a shot, but I could never see myself returning here to further my education.
If you want to stay in communication with anyone regarding your academic records or attendance at this school, DO NOT EXPECT A CALL BACK! Their communication skills are the worst! I am currently in the process of trying to communicate with my advisor, Mr. Jermonte Battle after leaving messages and emails and no response. I was transferred to another advisor who sounded like he did not want to assist whats so ever and was quick to get rid of me over the phone. They are definitely money hungry and make you go through hoops to take of business! Today I have left a message for Shannon Moore, the director of admissions I guess and hopefully I'll receive a call back....I will be keeping this post updated! So please reconsider and continue to look scholars! 8/23 - I sent an email to Jermonte Battle expressing my pure concern regarding his communication skills and my request to withdrawal, his response was very short and he quickly directed me to the registrar's office to withdrawal. No remorse, no questions of concern or any interest on how he could make me continue to keep me as a student at Herzing whatsoever! RUN Future Scholars! That was my ticket out of there!
When i spoke with financial aid initially they told me that everything would be covered by scholarships and grants, as i was already in classes doing work for two weeks before they called me again to tell me that i have to pay $3500 for one semester or $500 a month for 4 years because the grants werent enough to cover everything! Had i known this beforehand i would have opted for a cheaper school or something different The trust has been ruined, i will not be attending this school anymore. This wasted an entire academic year for me.
*ONLINE STUDENT* Teachers are largely unavailable. The department of Medical Billing and Coding doesn't care about their program, Director openly told me, "She receives many complaints about the program, and maybe they'll get it fixed." Outrageously expensive for very little support or care for quality education. Universities are supposed to be a "Serve Us" (service) institution and this one fails to hit the mark!
Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! Horrible communication from the admissions team. Had an "admissions interview" with Alexis Arnet. She never called and never responded to my email. Then a different advisor told me the online degree I wanted to pursue isn't offered and I have to go on campus, but the website says different. I'll definitely be looking into other schools and you should too!
I currently attend this school and for them to actually act like they care but don't really show it tells a person a lot. You can request no online classes but will place you in one. I feel like they set you up for FAILURE. There's a lot of work that this school needs in order to be great and communication is one. Teachers not communicating at a reasonable time is pure unprofessional
I am a Herzing Alumni, Graduate Class of 2011. Herzing prepared me for my future. Over the years I have seen Herzing University improve and add more program that has made it an even better school than before. Herzing University has raised the educational bar and continues to excel. I am so proud to be an Alumni and to be connected to such a rich network of professionals.
This school really needs to watch what types of teachers they hire. This specific teacher known as Professor Armstrong really needs to go. She is hindering this school. She lies, fails students who study, teaches material she doesn't give students, and has a lazy attitude. All in all, this school needs to fix it. Get good teachers. Not devils in disguise.
In the beginning Herzing was great as long as I was in the classroom; and the instructor was five star. Now the online classes isn’t for me, I feel the tuition is to high for me to teach myself that’s what online classes feel like. They tell you to reach out and someone will call you back never happen. Herzing is awesome as long as you in the classroom.
Herzing University was a great experience. I was able to adapt to the teaching styles very easily and was able to grasp a lot of knowledge. The staff and faculty were great help in all areas. I’m proud to now be a Herzing alumni. Definitely will recommend to others to attend
I am a second year student of Herzing U; so far whenever I needed help there was always someone available to help and clarify things. This school is supportive and helpful in ever way to help me attain my career goals
So far my experience is great. I'm back in class for my A.S. after just completing my Diploma in Medical Insurance Billing and Coding. For me to stay on to with them to further my education speaks volumes.
Will be starting in sept 30 must say very professional and friendly staff not to mention Brittany Rivers in Atlanta location she is amazing ❤️❤️❤️I ready for my new journey with you guys …
There’s never anyone at the school to talk to when you call and communication is terrible with the staff and teachers. If I hadn’t physically been to the school. I would think this was a scam.
Great School! My structors and Advisors always checked up on me. Classes are easy paced and when you think no one cares, Herzing does!!!!! I'm even planning on re-enrolling soon!!!
The online learning I experienced through Herzing University gave me the opportunity to accomplish my goal to obtain my degree without interference of my everyday life.
I love Herzing. My experience at Herzing has been very positive. The education that I have received has prepared me for success in my field.
