Great place for a free comedy show on Sundays at 8 pm. The Bar staff is friendly. A great place to sit down and take a load off. It also has two restrooms. Liberation Taco is "attached" and opens at 8 pm but is closed on Sun and Monday I think. There's usually food across the street with a food truck and there's also a pizza place and taco place within the block. As well as a grocery store if you want snacks. All sorts of shows throughout the week from country music, drag, and even burlesque. A very New Orleans place to be.

I am a visitor (from Indianapolis) to New Orleans and staying at the Olde Towne Inn. A few blocks away. I noticed this club the called Hi Ho Lounge. I highly recommend this club if you are looking for some true fun and revelry. The people I met were so sweet and friendly. I visited on an 80s music dance night which was a fund raising event for medical bills. The DJ was❤️❤️❤️❤️ spinning some great 45s from the 1980's such as Depeche Mode and Duran Duran. The atmosphere is unique. Not very scary people of all ages out to enjoy a night out.loved the art work. They have an ATM machine BTW.!

Lived right around the corner and frequented often. Hi-Ho is a grade A dive bar with superb tacos attached to it. These tacos are not authentic In any sense of the word however, they are surprisingly incredible and leave you wanting more because you can't fulfill the taste elsewhere. The drinks at high ho are very affordable ($5 beer & shot) And great music/comedy shows movie nights, and the bartenders are people you get to know. If you're looking for a place to get a cheap drink that has a local vibe I highly recommend.

I've come here tons before but some rude fat bearded white guy named Bryan who is friends with the staff was being rude and yelling across the bar to me and my gf while calling us scumy tourists and "harshing his buzz" for asking about recommendations about bars in the area. The staff did nothing to call him down or make us feel welcomed. I can only assume he scares customers away on the regular basis as this is his spot that he doesn't want to share with "tourists."

The bar was very nice but the place you order food from was a joke. I waitied over an hour and a half for my quesadilla. When i asked about my order i was told they had already given to my husband. Then was told it was given to someone else and they were remaking my order. When i husband finally was able to pick up the order they told him it was because the grill was down. I had watched them complete at least 5 other orders.

Great place for live music and hanging out!! Went there after the World Naked Bike Ride and was it a blast. Band was great, staff was even better. I didn't eat, but bought a friend a burrito. I swear it had to weigh 2-3 pounds. Looked awesome and heard taste matched the looks. Will definitely return and post pictures next time.

A great place to catch live music. There were multiple performers there the night I was. Transition was very smooth and quick. The bartender was great. There is beer on tap, or by the bottle. Hard liquor as well. Entrance is off the street level. Sound system was good. The place is pretty small so go early if you really want to see a particular performer.

It’s away from the hub bub of Burbon Street, and therefore has a cool, unique ambiance because of its location. Small place with low cast drinks and nice staff. Once a month you get lucky enough to catch a BDSM burlesque show, which made for a highly entertaining and unique experience. The outside courtyard in the back is all too neat and cozy.

Cool hipster bar. Dark and funky and has outdoor seating. Drinks were a decent price.Went for the Liberacion Nola pop-up, the quesadillas are insanely delicious. I don't know if it's because they had so many orders and they were completely overwhelmed but the tacos tasted a little burnt. Gotta catch them when it's not busy.

The most diverse crowd you will see in the city. This is what this city is about. DJ Manny Fresh was mixing it up while the crowd was dancing to old favorites. Best of all, it was free to get in. Hi-Ho, please do more events like this and you will definitely get my support. My liver will not like me though!

The music and atmosphere were outstanding. The burrito truck in the back was super mouthwatering. I got the crawfish with a 5 spicy level! Made my head spin and tastebuds dance. I also got 4 different freshly made hot sauces. Each one had there own exceptional flavor. I crave more already .

First bar I visited in New Orleans. Great happy hour specials!! The bar staff is friendly. The shows and performances are top notch! Support local! Saw a great band playing when we walked in. Comedy show was a hit and the burlesque show to follow was worth staying out late for!!

Went there for nachos and had a drink while I waited. The bartender informed me the drink was $7. Gave her my card grabbed my nachos and left. Today my card was charged $8 and updated to include a $2 tip. Called and called but no answer. Just grimey.

This place is the best. Great service. Fun people. And they usually have some sort of food vendor. Last night I got nachos and they were delicious. The back patio is covered we lots of places to sit with friends. I always have a good time here.

This place is super cool. Went twice in my long weekend down in Nola. Thursday music was great, good drinks, friendly bartenders, and the Mexican food setup outside is super legit. Went back and saw comedy and was a good vibe. Check them out

Hi-Ho is outstanding! Great decor, comfy dive with great drinks, eats, live music and comedy. Awesome vibes all around! Brett is hands down one of the coolest bartenders in NOLA! I look forward to coming back!

  • Sha'ron

Visiting from out of town and looking for a spot to chill on our last night. Sunday night open mic was a great experience! FREE entry to comedy and story telling. Nice friendly vibe. Would definitely go back.

Great happy hour prices and a nice selection on tap. Usually has pretty cool entertainment from blue grass to comedy. This place is so badass, Brett is one of if not the best bartender in the city.

  • Adele Tiblier

Killer DJ spins regularly. Cheap drinks. $10 minimum on credit cards, no exceptions. ATM on premise Cigarette machine too, but no smoking in the bar. Hungry? Adjacent to Fry & Pie which is banging!

  • Paul Hudalla

I visited New Orleans twice and have always found good live music in this venue. If you're looking for something that isn't so touristy, get out of the French quarter and see bands here.

  • Flav Aidoo

Dope, dive bar, awesome people. Kind of reminded me of Freddy’s in Bk. Burlesque show was interactive, host was funny and cool. Bartenders friendly. It’s a vibe. These are my people.

  • James McVicker

Don't let this location fool you... The Hi-Ho is a place where young and up coming music talent meets 60's back alley speakeasy's. Go and enjoy "real" New Orleans entertainment.

  • Jessica Shwedyk

Great bar! Staff is so friendly and the band was great. When we first walked in it was a casual jam session, then they played a few sets on the stage. Bucket of 6 beers for $12!

  • Albert Brown

The worst food I had in my 54 years I live in New Orleans shrimps was un cooked steak was tuff and it was a bad experience I spent $70.00 dollars and I was not satisfied …

  • anika ofori

Great place for music and chill. And of course they have a decent selection of alcohol. Music is in the courtyard due to covid. Be safe and support live music! …

  • Dennis Henderson

Great customer service! Was able to get my tacos with no problems. I really liked the music that was playing outside, the whole experience was a positive vibe.

  • Laurie Gendron

Relatively inexpensive place to eat some of the best bar food ever while listening to awesome music...kind of an edgy dive bar in the locals part of town.

  • jacob pohlman

Visited the backyard space to listen to my buddies band play. It was nice but a little crowded. Very small amount of room for dancing. Maybe 2 couples max

We had so much fun at the trivia night. The bar tender was super nice and attentive and the guy hosting Trivia made it fun! Can’t wait to go back. More

Cool local hangout/bar/music venue; chill vibe early, followed by an eclectic array of bands, burleque, and comedy. Fast and friendly bartenders.

  • Grace

Sunday night comedy is super fun, and Monday grass is awesome too. The owner is a great guy, and the pop up is cool too.

  • Carolyn's Oakes-Bardos
