Hi-Way Lounge is the epitome definition of a Hidden Gem: Yeah, it's in a nondescript name located in a nondescript location of a petrol station and yes, the ambiance is nondescript as well. B.U.T.: Ohhhh the food, the presentation thereof and the plethora of menu options (including full bar), holy molymoly! I feasted on fresh grilled red snapper with a mountain of creamy mashed potatoes, grilled mix veggies and garlic naan so warm, garlic-ee and soft I did not even have to chew it. Or my lady's grilled beef medallions (well done she ordered) so tender and juicy she didn't have to chew it, either. And the presentation: Pity I did not take pics of the plates. If you saw them you would think we were dining at (pick your fave 5star). And to top it all off, when I got the bill, I fell out of my chair! I didn't buy the food, I stole it! Soooo...bottom line: If you desire an exquisite culinary experience for a pauper's price, then Hi-Way Lounge is a must go!

The service is absolutely amazing with kind waiters. The food is delicious as well as the beverages especially the teas. On weekends they have a biryani which I had the pleasure of eating which was absolutely delicious. The red snapper, salmon, lamb, beef and chicken were some of the things I ate all of which I would highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious food!!! The tastiest mutton biryani in Mombasa and a diverse menu to suit all tastebuds. Was super impressed with the pizza. Full of flavour. The milkshakes are amazing too! Such a cosy place. I'd suggest on a hot weather you sit inside as they run the fan and ac full ,the outside tends to get soo hot and sunny. The food is spectacular and the service is also top notch.

kit kat cake and vanilla cake really good , fudge not good , seafood salad was huge and great ... music a bit loud for our meeting but was a great meeting venue

5 stars is for the food which was fantastic. Enjoyed the chicken madhby and the persian/gulf dip platter. All-in-all the food was delicious, presented beautifully and at a very moderate price point. The servers were also very courteous throughout our stay. We will definitely be back and see a lot of potential for long-term success for this fairly new hidden gem.
