Unpleasant experience shopping at this particular store. I do not shop here often but from the last occasion that I did I learned that they have an outrageous theft problem. I was tailed by the security guard indiscreetly for my entire time browsing. I browse when I shop in the pharmacy because I buy in bulk. I cut my shop in half but had already spent just under €100 at that point. Absolutely infuriating that when I went to that till I described how it felt and that I felt like leaving the shopping and not making my purchase. I explained to the lady at the till that it was incredibly insulting to decent customers. I explained that I understand there was an issue with theft but I suggested that they review their mode of carrying out security as this is unacceptable. She persisted to justify their choices in terms of security instead of actually hearing my complaint. Previously I had tried to allay the security guards paranoia by candidly and lightheartedly telling him that I understood they have a theft issue but I am shopping with intent to buy and would like that to be respected. He looked blankly and did not answer other than silence and despondency. A bizarre encounter and I will be boycotting Hickeys because of this. I would also like to add to my suggestions that training for staff would be beneficial to ensure better, more mature and professional standards of customer service.

Today Sept 11th: I would like to thank the lovely lady with the long lashes for her lovely disposition towards customers, she should be promoted. The one with the red hair is abrupt and has an attitude. The promoted one should coach her. --------------------------------------------------------------------- 10 months ago - I went to get my prescription and at the point of payment I presented the Drug scheme card for the first time, which I had received that day. The person behind the counter, right away said it was too late to present the card, just as I was asking her how to use it. She wasn't bothered to explain, nor care about my query, until another lady came to the counter and very professionally explained it all and got the prescription's cost onto the card. I want to thank this lovely lady for her care, patience and clear explanation, and I wish for the other lady to listen and learn.

Very unpleasant experience. Went to buy medicine and waited for so long. Later unfortunately I got bad allergic reaction to medicine so took it back to them in 2 days bcoz I required 2 days to recover from that allergy. Staff said they r not going to refund or take medicine back once sold. If you have such policy why don't u advise people when we buy medicine in bulk that u don't take returns so that we can take trial first. That's very irresponsible behavior. For anyone it's hard earned money and that's not 1 or 2 euros to think it's ok. 100€ may be less for a pharmacy like u but it's expensive for one individual. Please don't misuse someone else's hard earned money.

Please pay attention to what they gave to you! I was just released from the hospital went directly there and was written very clear to not substitute a medicine for a hard capsule. It was the oro dispersible one because I couldn’t swallow hard food. Anyway I got it and was having , just found out it was wrong in the hospital. I didn’t go back to give them back something that was written very clear. I obviously thought they gave the right one . I was in ICU and very tired when I was discharged. I didn’t go back to give the tables but I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS PHARMACY!

The worst Pharmacy in Ireland that I been!!! Over the counter employees barely speak English. My son needed antibiotic and I was told that will be ready in 20 minutes. When I come back it was not ready as the person who was serving me forget to tell pharmacist to prepare it. Needed to wait 20 minutes more with my sick son who had I high temperature. On the end I didn't been sure that I got correct antibiotic and correct dosages what doctor prescribed when I saw what kind of customer service and organisation it is! Avoid if you can!!!

I will talking about what happened with me!! I took tablets and it is quite expensive yesterday and they didn't give the receipt . And I asked in other pharmacy about the same product and the price was too different. That's why I came and I wanted refund and she said for me . "Pharmacy policy and laws do not accept the return of any product" And she said we will throw up at the bin the tables. I can't believe that in my opinion I think not professional service and I don't recommend this pharmacy.

Do yourself a favor avoid this chemist , the staff are not fit for purpose and will waste your time , they don’t for some reason keep your prescription on file , so when I need a repeat they expect you to have an original doctors letter from months back ‘ rather then showing up on there system from my previous visit , failure on there part to not take note of the duration of my prescription when it was handed in that would be to much to ask here , what a joke

Its pointless using the online perscription service here, they never check the machine. Today 3 hours after requesting a perscription online I went down to collect. After 10 min wait I was told it would be 30 mins. After another 20 mins i was told it would be another hour! The staff are polite and doing their best but they are shockingly understaffed and there is no permanent full time pharmacist in the branch ( some turn on the online orders, others dont!)

This service here is absolutely shocking three times in the past three weeks I have stood at the counter and have been completely ignored even though staff were at the cash desks. I have been told prescriptions will be twenty minutes and have been waiting over 45 minutes. There is absolutely no customer relations whatsoever. I will not be going back there when I can cross the road to Boots Pharmacy and be treated like a human being

I use this pharmacy now and again as it's close to work and it's a nice place with plenty of stock well displayed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I was very surprised today tho when a delivery very guy wheeled in his trolley of goods not wearing a mask. Wasn't even on his chin so he made no effort to have one. The staff spoke to him as normal as he walked behind the counter and places the delivery in. Hard to believe.

Oh dear. Service with a snarl. Eye watering prices and now after 8pm you have to queue on a ‘one in, one out’ basis while three technicians, a pharmacist and a security guard twiddle their thumbs. If you’re going to treat your customers like criminals before they even approach your door just don’t open at all. Or offer only an essential pharmacy service through a hatch in the window for security. This is a joke.

This chemist is always nice and clean. The staff are helpful and friendly. They also have a good supply of items you need. I like this chemist alot. I went in there when my son was younger to get his passport photos. He was only a Toddler at the time.They were helpful then. So I went back there again to get the photos for my son again for his next passport. Now he is 14 years old.

Where do I start. STAY AWAY FROM HERE the new boss lady looks down at you IF YOU LET HER she parks her horse in the shop for all to see There is alway new staff that should tell you everything they're alway out of stock you have to wait 20-45 minutes I just wouldn't tell anyone to go there There is 3-4 other pharmacy in that area I would use any other shop.

This is my local pharmacy, and have seen the incredible work they did during covid all the way to now. It’s a hugely busy pharmacy with a high footfall, despite this the staff are so friendly and work incredibly hard. I always admire their kind approach even if some of the public have been rude to them. Thank you, keep up the great work

Went in to get prescription for my baby, told me to wait 25mins while they got the prescription. Asked them for an update after 25mins, they told me they didn’t have it in stock. Had a child waiting on Antibiotics & they wasted my time, didn’t offer to ring any other pharmacy. We were keeping the child awake to give him the antibiotics.

I'm so disappointed with how hickeys has changed they use to be very helpful and it was great that they were open late. Unfortunately the new staff would rather chat with their friends than serve. The pharmacist is all over the place and doesn't seem to be able to cope with the pressure. Great to have but avoid if you have the option.

Worst Pharmacy in Dublin , I had one bad experience that’s ok everything isn’t smooth running... but I went back not once but twice and each time .. the exactly the same .. only pro is there late night opening times !! That’s it . Avoid!!!! And please let the person know if there waiting, a few minutes is actually 45 mins !!!!

It would be nice if staff could make a distinction between "waiting a few minutes" and actually waiting 40 minutes for a prescription. I've watched at least 20 people come and go ahead of me, all the while getting no communication from the staff and being essentially scoffed at when enquiring about when it will be ready

I’ve been in this store and whiteness abuse of the staff have taken from the public and they stay professional at all times, my compliments to them because I wouldn’t take it myself, always professional to me even the manager has gone above and beyond to help me couldn’t recommend them enough 5 stars from me

Went back not once, but twice getting told it’ll be 15 minutes, after the second time, and of course another 10 minutes waiting on site I was told to come back the next day because they don’t actually have my meds on stock. This place is a joke!

Can some one please tell me why hickeys in phisborough phone is stil not working iv been trying for 24hrs and all im gettin is either a hang up sound or busy line. Dont know why they have one and they dont even have a alternative email ect

Couldnt agree more with other reviews here, customer service is terrible. Save yourself time, money and stress and go to any of the other pharmacys in the area. There's a Boots across the road that's fantastic.

Very ignorant man at the door treated me with no respect. I tried to collect a prescription but was not allowed to enter with my dog. No problem with that policy, but get a door man with manners please.

Don't waste your time if you have a prescription to collect. They are not interested. Those people are only looking at selling para-pharmacy and over the counter medications. Useless establishment

Service is an absolute joke waiting over one hour for 28 tablets this time my last prescription took nearly 2 hours after i had ordered it the day before surely they can do Better than this

Great staff, but for the love of God answer your phone! I've been in to collect prescriptions a couple of times and even when its not the least bit busy, the phone is still left ringing.

Opening hours are best in the area.Have your doctor send your prescription straight to them, phone to say you collect and it will be ready for you when you arrive. Top rate.

Terrible customer services and no manner to talk to customers. Forcefully try to put prescription that you will coming back again and again. Highly not recommended.
