Update: High Fives management met with us today. They were great in taking ownership of the issue. They apologized, advised of some action they had taken following the incident and advised they will be doing training and refreshing Smart Serve. For now, I will leave the original review up because actions speak louder than words, and it did happen, but I am optimistic. Original Review: ❗️High Fives is not a safe space❗️ Went to High Fives today. I was harrassed, and staff would not take accountability. I was seated at the patio, and wanted to wash my hands before eating. I still wear face masks inside, as I got in I was immediately told "you don't need to wear that" by a patron. I ignored, went to the bathroom, and men's was occupied, so I used the women's (empty), and I briefly locked the door, so I would not alarm any woman entering. I hear screaming about using the wrong bathroom from the same woman. I realize what her attitude is, what her likely sobriety is, and ignore it. I then hear shaking of the door handle and literal pounding on the door. She was screaming that I was a little girl, and I wasn't allowed in there. She keeps going on for about a minute. She says she "going to get me" when I got out. I was trapped. When the pounding stops, I waited a moment, and I then left. She decides to block my way out of the restaurant, pushing me. She's telling me I'm all sorts of inappropriate things, many homophobic in nature. She's telling me she's a licensed medical tech (I think), and I shouldn't be wearing my mask. She keeps going at this as I make my way out, I tell her she's harassing me, and I want to get out. I'm at the door now, as she tells me to run outside, finally a person intervenes. I don't know his name, but he's staff. He tries to play it off, and saying to cut it out. I tell him that she's harassing me, and she needs to stop. He keeps playing it off, with a big smile. I planted my feet, and said 'what are you going to do about this?' He stayed smiling and said I should go back outside. He told her to stay inside. She was welcomed in, as I was pushed out. She was ready, saying she wanted to fight outside. Again, I asked the guy intervening 'what are you going to do?' And he just encourages me to leave...the one being harassed has to leave. I just had it, and I walk out to get my boyfriend so we can pay for our drinks and leave. We go back in, she is quick to greet me. I go to the counter to pay, ignoring her continuing to heckle me. The guy who intervened earlier comes back smiling, and says since we only had two sodas, we can leave. Horray, I saved 5 dollars. So all in all, I was: -bothered for wearing a mask -scolded for using an empty bathroom -bonus points for a subtle transphobic attack for her apparent beliefs about washrooms -physically accosted -had multiple homophobic comments thrown at me I wouldn't high five this business.

I order via UberEats I ordered 6 oz steak sandwich and lava cake. The steak sandwich was not the greatest; I was expecting an open face sandwich, with actual onions and a mushroom type of sauce; I received a bland steak, no sauce (it doesn’t say there was a sauce, I assumed) and onions rings on top and the mashed potatoes were also bland The lava cake on the other hand, is absolutely delicious and they have lots of ice creams and whipped cream, so that definitely made up for it and for that reason, I will try another dish another time :) I am not trying to be rude by my review by any means, maybe other people like the sandwich and think it’s good but I just didn’t like it

I am not one to right a poor review but when they charge you $11 to add pepperoni to your pizza, a review is in order. We ordered the veggie pizza ($24) as there are limited options and prefer something with lots of veggies but opted for pepperoni instead of green olives. (not aware of any additional charges). Upon receiving the bill they charged us $21 dollars for the pepperoni pizza and $11 dollars for 4 additional toppings. I disputed that they should have charged us for the veggie and perhaps charged us for 1 additional topping. The manager refused any changes. To that end, great waitress, good food, good beer, poor customer service and extremely poor management.

Went here with the kids for a back to school dinner out. Place was nearly empty... But service was great, attentive and fast. Kids had the fish and chips, ceasar salad and bbq burger with fries. My wife and I shared the blackened chicken burger and brimstone burger. Fries were awesome... Among the best we've had in Ottawa. Burgers were all well cooked, great toppings. Thai aïoli sauce on the chicken was a nice touch. The brimstone burger had quite a bit of heat, but well balanced. Caesar was a good size... But croutons were soggy, lots of bacon and parmesan and the right amount of dressing. Will definitely go back.

Just went to the restaurant. I’m a guest at the hotel. I walked in and asked the waitress with long blonde hair in a ponytail if she served to go coffee in a paper cup. She rudely replied (sarcastically as well) “no we’re going to make you carry the liquid in your hands.” I won’t spend my money somewhere where I am treated like I am stupid. This was a legitimate question and I was met with a rude attitude, the waitress even rolled her eyes at me and said it infront of regular customers who also started heckling me about my “paper cup question” how rude. No thanks.

I've never had worse ribs in my life. I paid 27 dollars for four disgusting beef ribs. They were burnt to a crisp and tough. I do not recommend eating here. Also place was understaffed. I came in here with three other freinds and we all ordered ribs. Not only did the cook come out and complain to the waitress directly infront of us, he then butchered the ribs on purpose. We ordered at 10 and this place closes at 12. Why would it be an issue to cook ribs at 10. Terrible place, do not eat here. Only open because it's attached to a hotel.

I went here this afternoon for some food at approx 3pm. Food was delicious. The service was good, but when I was done eating server was to busy talking for a long period of time with people than bringing our check. Also the atmosphere was awful for 3pm In the afternoon several friends of the staff at this location were way over served and being overly drunk, loud and being a distraction. I was unable to comfortably relax while eating here. Its the middle of the aftertoon people way to drunk for middle of the day hours.

The fish and chips provide the diner with a generous portion of fish. It's my go-to dish almost every Friday. Amanda, Emma, Mark, Britney, Ben, and Paul always give excellent service. Their burgers are fantastic...thick and juicy and cooked just right.

My husband, son and myself, when visiting our homeland of Ottawa/Stittsville ON, have made a point to eat our meals in this wonderful establishment. We have NEVER been disappointed in anything we've ordered from the menu. Everything made in this Pub is made to order, fresh and with a great deal of thought, care and understanding of the most amazing seasonings. GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY!!!!! And, if you come for breakfast.....Miss Casey(Kasey) is a hoot and a half, and a dear treasure!!!!

Breakfast with our Lunch Bunch Club. We thought we would give this place a try. Can't go too wrong with breakfast but I could do without the two pieces that came with it. The eggs were fine, bacon was done the way I like it but not sure about the potatoes. Deep fried and triangular shaped patties. The booth seating needs to be recovered, looks kind of shabby. We will go back in October and review again.

Great staff, reliable food, great ambiance! Can't ask for more. Friends and I go to High Fives on a regular basis to watch EPL games. The staff there have always been beyond accommodating we truly can't thank them enough. We're usually a good size group, but the services is always wonderful. And the food is also great! If you want a good breakfast at a price that can't be beat this is your place. If you're in this part of Ottawa, definitely make this your go to for breakfast.

My first visit. Friendly staff. Signs to indicate where there were plugs available to use to charge your devices. Server's suggestion of the beef dip sandwich was bang on!!! I upgraded my side salad to a Caesar, and had no expectation beyond someone ripping opening a bag of the sad mix at the grocery store. I was pleasantly surprised to find it had its own taste and character. I will probably hit this place again, perhaps during breakfast hours, to see if it holds up.

Interesting little bar located in a motel. The staff were very friendly and even changed the Channel on a TV for us. There is a lot of TVs in the place so its good 5o watch a game. The beer list was average, everything you'd expect. The downfall was the other patrons. Lots of regulars here who are a hit too comfortable and act obnoxiously. Seems like it could get to be a seedy place on weekends based on what we saw but other than that I liked it.

I used to visit every month while in town for work. I haven't been back in 2 years. The service here was horrible. Watching a hockey game and then all tv's were tuned to football. I asked for 1 tv to be switched back to hockey and was told no. I have now stayed at another Best Western and visited their very friendly restaurant regularly.

Came for dinner and a drink tonight and all of the waitstaff seemed to be having a melt down. I know we will tip because we don’t know the other side of the story, but really shoddy service, and the atmosphere really sucked due to the ticked off and impatient employees. Took an hour for our food to get to us and it wasn’t fully cooked the first time so we sent it back to be cooked more

Great breakfast every time and for a bonus the toasts are perfectly buttered, corner to corner it matters to us. Must try their club sandwich and Caesar salad so good! I’ve had these at many other restaurants but High Five as the best. Friendly and helpful staff all around. Special shout out to Casey she’s s awesome !

I went here with my Mum, 2 year old daughter amd my wife. We were refused service and treated very poorly because we weren't vaxxed. If you like a 2 tier system of treating people fairly, go support this place. If you respect people and their rights as humans, avoid this place like the plague! 1 star seems too generous..

Great bar attached to the Best Western. The girls are all gems; super friendly, quick and remembered us each visit. The food offered is typical pub grub but much better than the run down chain bar across the street. If you find yourself booking yourself at the Best Western be sure to head down and have a few drinks.

We attended here recently for a planned family gathering. We were given the entire side of the restaurant and our own server. I do not have one single complaint. The food was wonderful as usual and the service impeccable. I cannot thank the staff enough for their hospitality. It will be forever remembered. ❤️

My wife and I were early to work today so we decided to stop in for breakfast and it was the best decision! Everything was absolutely amazing from service to food. The server this morning (I wish I got her name) was one of the best servers we've ever had. We will be going back with the family.

We visited this establishment before Covid and were given excellent service. The lady who served us, (I believe her name was Sam) was so welcoming and nice we are planning a trip back to the area soon now that patios are open and hope she will be around to serve us once again. A+ breakfast

Nice little spot to grab a drink and relax in Bells Corners. Certainly is your traditional pub atmosphere and food. Really friendly and prompt staff. Easy walkthrough from the hotel too restaurant and bar area. Even a convenient car charger for any electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Ordered nachos, no salsa or sour cream and there were about 13 chips with minimal vegetables. Take out on way home from work and I paid 17 dollars and I need go make food when I get home from work after being robbed for 17 for nachos. Small pizza box with 13 chips. Thank you.

Welcoming atmosphere from the staff and local patrons as well. Outstanding service all around. Had their pizza and it was very good! The bar tender (mark) was very attentive to all customers, which had an impact on this 5 star rating. We will be definitely coming back.

Was there twice to give it a chance as I was staying in the attached hotel. The staff are friendly, however they are so focused on the few (what seemed as) regulars that once I got my food, I was ignored. The food was decent, but the customer service was lacking.

We like to stay in the area when we go to the Magic of lights show, stayed at the best western attached. Ordered a pizza and chicken tenders and was not disappointed. Food was really good and the staff were super friendly. Will swing by again when we are nearby.

Great deals on Tuesdays and a nice place to enjoy sports while having beer and all sorts of other drinks. Also the place has professional waiters. I have been there twice, second time the crowd was uhm uhm. The first time I had a great experience though.

It a simple atmosphere. The food is good. We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning here. The menu is basic. So if You are looking for more, this isn't the place. They don't have waffles or french toast. The service was good. For Us it was enjoyable.

We go quite often for lunch on a Friday. Staff is always super friendly and the food is good! Lots of TVs if you're looking to watch the game, and a really decent beer selection. Definitely prefer it to some of the other offers in Bell's Corners.

Ordered take out while staying at the hotel. I had the mushroom swiss burger with fries and gravy. The burger was amazing! The fries are good but we're mostly what I call "chip bits" tiny bits of fries which I hate, no long regular fries.

Was really good! We came here to watch the Sens game and it was a really nice restaurant. I liked that they put the commentary loud enough that you could actually hear it. The food was really good - french fries tasted like a chip truck.

Service was awesome and very welcoming. The food was great as well. Loved the environment. I had a beaf barley soup with chicken wrap everything came perfect. I recommend this place and I'm definitely going back again.

Had a really nice time at High Five's meeting a friend for dinner and a drink. Cozy, local vibe with plenty of TVs to watch all of the games. In addition to beer, they have some great cocktails made with local spirits.

The best sports pub in Ottawa! Paul and his staff are always so friendly and the food is amazing! Big shout out to Rob in the kitchen - he makes amazing food and always has a big smile on his face. See you again soon!
