The bar itself is pretty clean. Brand new felts on the pool table. Service was really really bad. We arrived around 7 pm this evening. Apparently it was shift change. The young lady behind the bar watched the four of us walk in. We went to the pool table area, took off our coats, got out sticks, and got all situated. Put the money in the table to set up a game. Kept looking over towards the bar, hoping someone would notice we were actually not a figment of their imagination. After about 10 minutes of waiting I went to the bar. Another young lady was counting money as one does at shift change. I know this because I've been a bartender for 30 years. The first blonde lady comes from the back room eating a slice of pizza or something. Totally ignores the fact that I'm even standing there. No one nodded. No one said it'll be a minute we are doing shift change. We literally just were not acknowledged. I got tired of waiting at the bar so I decided I no longer wanted to spend my money in this establishment. I proceeded back to my seat at the pool table. My friends however, seemed to be thirstier than I was. They went to the bar and again were ignored. The dark haired lady finally came over to take our drink orders. The other couple we were with ordered a draft beer and a caeser with no tobacco. I ordered a caeser with no tobacco -- extra muddy. She confirmed with me that meant extra worcesterschire sauce. The drink once delivered was perfect. Lacking a lemon, which she later brought over. My second drink however, was horrible and I believe to be purposely made that way. Extra muddy does not mean the entire bottle of worcesterschire sauce. It means a couple of extra shakes. When my friend inquired why we were being ignored, she replied quite snottily it was shift change. She was counting money. It's very difficult to serve people while counting money. Two ladies were behind that bar, one could have very easily acknowledged us, took our drink order, fulfilled and deliver our drink order whilst the other was counting her money. Its not rocket science. I hear there are new owners. I sincerely hope all your new customers are not treated in the manner we were treated this evening. My tip this evening reflected the terrible service we received.

Have recently discovered this neighborhood gem. Great layout, pool tables, VLT's big TV's for sports. Live music is great, they have some really fantastic local bands and support the local scene in a big way. The Thursday Acoustic Jam has a real friendly feel, the host makes you feel very welcome and is very fair making sure everyone gets a chance and then some plus he lets you know how he appreciates your participation. I've just started going to karaoke night (Monday's) and the host leaves you with more music knowledge than you went in with, sharing music trivia tidbits and stories, but not a distraction it's a great addition to the experience. The bar also has more than live music, karaoke and sports nights it also host things like paint nights/crafts etc, I've never seen a bar do that and it really says it's a place for more than just libations it's for all kinds of activities. Staff, well, their great! By the second time I went they knew my name and my order and if it's your first time they really personalize the experience. Food is tasty, I will say some items are far more expensive than other bars, the wings are awesome the dill pickle mmmmmm. The owners are always around to talk and engage in any conversation one has and join in any fun being had at the bar, like dancing. They also are very community minded. So long review I had a lot to say, but because I live in the neighborhood I've had more opportunities to get the full experience of the many events this bar hosts/puts on. It is a very friendly place, I've had no issues so I think if it's a first time anyone comes, come on a night with karaoke or the acoustic jam and you can see how chill and warm it is and have a good opportunity to chat with the staff/owners. I left one start off just because some of the food is a bit pricy, but not all. Love this joint.

It was open mic night and got to listen to a variety of musical entertainment. Staff was excellent. Welcoming, friendly, really seemed to enjoy being there. The food was very tasty, but I had dill pickle wings and couldn't taste much dill pickle. My side salad was good and my pickle Caesar was also good, though again, didn't really have the dill flavour I was expecting. Very clean, neighbourhood pub. I'm not from that neighbourhood, but felt welcomed and comfortable there.

I probably won't go back. The service was mediocre, the waitress was much too preoccupied with a few people she seemed to be acquainted with. My partner and I only got a drink each and mozza sticks and they were a big let down, expensive for what you get. A handful of teeny mozzarella sticks, and the sauce comes in the same containers as at Costco instead of an actual dish? Pool is $2 a game. Prices were meh. All in all, it didn't really leave a terrible impression, but also not the best impression. Being as I don't live on that side of the city, I wouldn't be inclined to visit again, nor would I think to recommend the place to others.

Great little pub with great prices. Clean place, great staff. Had a pizza and beer there and I'm going back for sure. A ton of people on a Northside FB group suggested it and weren't wrong!

This place is an amazing dining and social pub where the staff greet you with a warm and friendly smile. The service and food make you want to come back for more. It's also a great place to bring your friends and colleges to enjoy a game of pool or playing a few games at the slots, but that's not all ! if your fancy is LIVE music well there's music on the weekends so it doesn't matter how old you are there's something for everyone at High Note Bar & Grill .

My first time going to a bar, since it was new year's day, the atmosphere was lively. Everyone chatting, music playing and groups singing along to the music, it was an amazing experience. It felt like a old timey 90's feel, I'm thinking of going again sometime this week. I want to go during a live performance, jazz or some sort, making friends wouldn't hurt either :)

The High note hosts amazing classes on Wednesday's. I was fortunate enough to be there last Wednesday to witness the creation of Porch Gnomes, and the atmosphere was so wonderful! They also have karaoke and the bartenders are well educated. I didn't try the food, but everything brought out, looked and smelt amazing.

Went on a Monday for Kareoke. Was alot of fun and very accepting of all skill levels. The bar is clean and surprisingly well lit without being bright. Honey dill wings were crispy and full of flavor. Staff was busy but still attentive and even sang a couple songs too!

I had never been to the High Note since it changed hands from the old Sneaky Pete's. The Pizza was excellent and Open stage Thursday Acoustic Jam was great music. I found it to be good value with excellent food and great service. Quite a welcome change from the last owners, this is now an establishment that I would definitely go back to.

First time here with a large group of people. Enjoyed the theme night, music and atmosphere. Reasonably priced food and drinks. Very clean. Susan the owner was very personable and put her own touches into everything. Like that they have different events as well. Definitely will return!

Stopped by this afternoon to check it out. The owner, Susan was super friendly and came by to chat with me. Service and food is awesome! Definitely wanting to check out their Open Jam Night every Thursday!

Nice place, great staff. the food is a bit pricey but its worth it! And drinks are relatively cheap. Go on a monday for some great karaoke with a wide variety of music to sing. Thursdays are very busy days with an open acoustic mic, very awesome environment. Over all 5 stars !

Had a great time last night at the High Note bar and Grill. We had a very large group (30+) as we celebrated 10 of our Birthdays together. Food was great, drinks were great and their service was phenomenal. Live band was an awesome touch. We will be back.

Food was good. Took awhile to get it ordered. Waitress was busy talking at other tables. There's being friendly but take care of the other tables. There was a shift change. Never saw a waitress for an hour. If it wasn't for the owner we would of left.

The High Note is an awesome family owned and operated bar and grill. It's the place to go for friendly service, great food, live music and events, and to shoot some pool. The beer is always ice cold and their bison burger is absolutely top drawer!

Quite surprised upon visiting. Drawn in for VLT's. Actually did okay in that regard. The Kar-O-Ke singers kept me entertained as I melted into my vlt. The services was great. Varied crowd throughout my stay. I'd definately visit this place again.

Seems like a friendly neighborhood pub. The pizza was excellent!! Good, prompt service from friendly faces. I'll be back to check out the entertainment on a weekend sometime in the near future.

Lost a star because the waitress was very annoyed working. It was almost like she wished we would all leave so she could go home early. The karaoke was awesome and the regulars were very friendly. The atmosphere was awesome.

Super great spot! Open, well lit, friendly bartender, and there are tables in front of the kitchen so you can talk to the cooks too! Games aren't open right now due to Covid, and we didn't try any of the food. Next time!
