The worst experience! This is a long overdue review but well needed so others don’t experience the same..The first day I went in was for a consultation and I was told to switch products and paid around $200 for a set. After the products started causing more inflammation and pain (I had cystic acne, maskne, closed comedones) I decided to bring back the product kit and advised them that I Want to go to a dermatologist as my skin is getting more painful and itchy. They took me into a room and gave me excuses that I should continue to get facials+product use. I told them I want to go to a doctor to get help and they scared me into not going to see a doctor with excuses like “they will put you on birth control/Accutane and it’ll get worse”. I felt extremely disgusted and terrified by their response. On top of that they would only give me store credit for the product I returned. Which I said I’ll use for a facial once my skin gets better. Worst decision ever as their chemical peel burnt the middle of my forehead. The last bit of the store credit I had left I wanted to use and get as far away from this place and ended up by buying a $37 lip balm which is priced $20 on their website which also was expired. My entire experience was disappointing from the beginning. And to anyone that asks why I didn’t call the place to let them know.. you can ask them how many times I’ve called and got passed around until I gave up completely. Also, my skin cleared up 90% after getting a topical cream from the doctors within a month.

I rarely post reviews. What makes me write a review here is reading some bad reviews about this spa. I don’t understand and can’t believe how can someone not feel obsessed with their services and all the extra ordinary care they provide. THIS PLACE IS ONE OF THE BEST PLACE TO GET GOOD QUALITY SERVICES. I see Madeleine for hydrafacial and other skin care treatments and she is amazing!! She is super knowledgeable and really cares about taking her time and not rushing things around. She cares about delivering results with the services she performs. I’m obsessed with the hydra-facial service she always provide me. She really makes me feel relaxed, and I always leave with glowing skin that lasts weeks! Also, unlike other spas I’ve been to, Madeleine stays in the room and gives the best massage, while she lets the face mask do it’s thing. Another thing to mention about Madeleine that she is the owner and did not try to sell her products and services to me. I was trying to convince her for Microneedling sessions for myself and she refused to do that on me because with her many years of experience, she did not feel like my skin needs it (I was Shocked). All other most Expensive spas I been to, they always try to sell their services and provide bad comments about my existing products that I was using so I can buy their so called products. Would highly recommend Madeleine to others. This spa is really really worth your hard earned money.

I’ve been wanting to try this place since 2020 (I’m an international student) but I went back home for COVID and was there for the rest of 2020 and all of 2021. I came back earlier this month and as soon as I safely could, I made an appointment. It was my first time and I’m already excited to come back and try out some additional treatments (I’m thinking skincare or massage next!). I got a pedicure from Khushboo, I had selected no preference as it was my first time but I think I’ll be requesting her going forward. She was super sweet, has great music taste :) and did an amazing job with my nails. It was such a relaxing pedicure and definitely a well needed treat + bit of relaxation. I didn’t even realize how gross my feet felt before until I felt how soft they were after! The spa is beautiful, very soothing to be in and nice music — not too loud. They also sometimes had a Netflix show playing in the back which was nice. Definitely loved this place and will come back again! Ty Khushboo for making my first experience such a perfect one! I’d been hyping this place to myself for over a year but thanks to the lovely staff it not only lived up to but exceeded my expectations. ^ that was written earlier this yeae, just adding I went for a massage and had Khushboo again, she’s a delight! Everyone I’ve seen here as been amazing at their job and super friendly and patient with my many questions. :) my fave spa!

DO NOT GO TO THIS SPA. If i could give zero stars I would. I had an absolutely TERRIBLE experience. I went to get my brows done here and asked for just a clean up and walked out with completely uneven & misshapen brows. I was completely dissatisfied and asked for a refund (that I never got) as my brows were completely ruined right before an extremely important event where I would be on camera and in front of hundreds of people. On top of not getting my money back for this botched service, I now need to invest more money into brow products that I didn’t need before visiting this spa. My brows have never looked so awful in my life and cannot even be fixed by filling them in.The owner Madeline was the one who did my brows and she was extremely rude to me and entirely not understanding of the situation even when I showed pictures of what my brows looked like before she did them. DO NOT GO TO THIS SPA FOR ANY SERVICES. The owner Madeline has an awful attitude and terrible customer service. Please think twice before giving your money to this establishment.

I don’t usually do reviews but this spa is literally a Ripoff and Lie. I came to the spa to gift my mother spa day. I booked for a “head to Toe” package and once I arrived to the spa I changed to another “take me out” package as the first one was little pricey. thou both of them were the same hours in the website I was told that since I cancelled one hour service I had to pay cancellation fee. And I couldn’t pay the cancellation fee. So to PUNISH me they changed one of the Mani and pedi services to the cheapest one and cancelled the package prices without letting me know. Later when I called I asked them if they cancelled the package as the receipt says different - they said No at first and that the system does not have the package list so it can’t be printed in the receipt . After a while they said yea we did change it. It was sad as I didn’t expected them to PUNISH a customer like this. The owner was really not understandable about the situation.

If I could give this place 5+ stars I would I had won a dermaplaning giveaway. I went in Madeleine noticed that I had rosacea and some active acne my skin was not suitable for that atm ( I was unaware of that ) instead of refusing service etc… she went ahead and gave me a facial ( free of charge )that is more suitable for my skin before arrival I was quite nervous to hear some negative comments about my skin or comments like “ oh it’s so rlly bad etc..” she was super down to earth told me it was treatable and gave me advice on what I should do/use & the services they have available for my skin condition besides the good communication honestly I walked in with my skin feeling less hydrated extremely red on one cheek & walked out with such a glowy, hydrated skin and reduced redness on my cheek it’s been more than 8+ hours ( I have been running errands outside ) and I’m still glowing I will be returning for more

I went to this spa for a Fire and Ice facial. Madeleine was my aesthetician for the facial. This was the worst facial I've had in my life! She did not explain the procedure to me, nor the products she is using on my face. I have a small face and the face massage was unbearably suffocating. I was gasping for air. It was not a relaxing experience at all. I even mentioned to her that I could not breathe. I'm sure she could tell how uncomfortable I was. She used some kind of treatment on my face (again no information given about what product is being used) and it was burning so badly that I could not endure it for more than 30 seconds. I came home with chemical burns near my active acne. It made my face look 10x worse!! I paid ~$200 to get my face burned, and suffocate by the hands of an aesthetician. I will never go back here!

Very bad experience. Don’t come here for waxing. I have been five times. I was never happy with my brows. I thought I was not communicating effectively. The last two times, I showed a picture of how I wanted my brows. How they were previously. Madeleine completely ignored my request. Waxed them the way she wanted. Then said she can’t do them how I wanted. She said my brows were too sparse for that shape. AFTER she butchered them. Frankly - If you can’t do what I am asking for you should tell me beforehand. Not just wax the natural shape of my brow and shrug your shoulders after. I went to another place. They saved the day and even with everything she had waxed off. They were still able to give me the shape I requested. Therefore it wasn’t that it couldn’t be done. It was that their employee simply couldn’t do it.

Had a horrible experience! The girl who did my pedicure cut all my toenails crocked and painted them unevenly. After TWO hours of siting under the dryer I came home to see my toenails were all smudged! Another girl did my manicure which was worse! She filed them on a slant, left old shellac on and used the wrong top coat. The nails were streaky looking so she asked her coworker who told her she used the regular top coat not the shellac top coat. At this point I had already been at the salon for 2.5 hours! She said she would redo it but I didn't have time as I was already late. This was my first and last time getting my nails done here. The prices do not reflect the service. My nails were not shaped, painted, or cut properly. Would not recommend. This was the most expensive and worse nail experience!

Don’t be deceived by the dainty neighborhood and the nice people who work here. They initially quoted $120 for a facial but they finally charged $180. Quality is good but they will consistently overcharge you. I heard the same story from some of my other friends at Highland Creek who visited this place. If you are a cost conscious customer who wants decent quality, I highly recommend staying away from this place. Here is an update: Suzanne, the owner of Highland Creek Med Spa was kind enough to call me right after I posted this review to under my concerns. She gave me a credit that I could for my next appointment and assured that this will not happen again. I am changing my rating from 1 star to 3 stars for their service and planning to give it another try.

Highland creek Medspa has literally saved my skin. Madeline and her staff really took great care of my skin. I have always suffered from acne and acne scarring. I was really giving up on my skin and I found this place for facials and thought to give it a try. I have gotten only 2 facials over the past 4-6 weeks and my skin got amazing results. I have very less breakouts and scarring. Not only that, before coming to HLC Medspa I always disliked my skin and lacked confidence. Madeline helped me overcome my skin issues and gain confidence at the same time. My absolute fav thing about this place is they listen to your skin concerns and personalize your skincare according to your skin type. Highly recommend this Medspa for great results.

I came in for a pedicure this morning and I leave feeling disappointed to say the least. My technician was cold and dry, she refused to do hot towels on my feet and legs. Both women beside me had that treatment. When I asked my technician about it she said it was not included for shellac. The technician beside her told her that it was and that she should do it. That conversation should not be happening in front of me. My technician seem very bothered and did not want to do that service for me at all. She then very reluctantly said she could do it at the end. I declined, at this point I just want to be done and get out of here. Makes me sad that I came in to feel good and I leave feeling unhappy. I will not be back.

I have been going to La Lune for many years, starting from when they first opened. Not only are the quality of all the services I have tried exceptional , but Lora and her team always strive to ensure every client has a great experience on every visit. I really love that Lora and her team do so much research and are always evolving to anticipate the new services their customers would benefit from. And I am always confident knowing that my health and safety are paramount at La Lune. Highly recommmended!

Found this little gem in my neighborhood and treated myself to a birthday hot stone massage, facial and pedicure! Loved the ambience - inviting and calming - yet not pretentious like some of the other bigger spas. The pricing is super reasonable (they have RMTs as well) and what really blew me away was the diversity and camaraderie between the staff. The owner (Susan) was super understated and very warm and Kenzie has magic fingers and made my first ever hot stone massage experience a memorable one!

I didn’t have a good experience there b/c I went through 3rd session for body laser and still hair grows. So seems it doesn’t work and they just like go collect my money. I recommend another spa place not this one. My face has not been the same since I went for my treatment. I asked them why this happened they told me to take another session and it will be all right. This place is just a scam I would prefer other to go to another place then coming here. The reviews are fake don’t believe that.

If you are looking for a med spa in Scarborough you need to visit this place! The BEST customer service I have ever experience. Madeleine and her team have created such a wonderful atmosphere at the spa and I am so happy I purchased a membership as I always look forward to my appointments. I had microneedling done by Suzanne a couple days ago. I choose this treatment due to some mild acne scarring and overall texture issues that I wanted to address. I felt she was extremely knowledgeable and professional before, during and after the procedure. I'm looking forward to seeing my results over the next few weeks. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to any of my friends or family who are interested in microneedling.

I can’t say enough good things about this business, and what Madeline has done for me! I was skeptical to try laser once again because it has failed in the past, but I wish I found her 10 years ago. I have dark hair in unwanted places, and the significant difference I see daily in myself has changed my life! The MedSpa is very clean and Madeline is very knowledgeable! Highland creek is honestly the best spa to go to when wanting to get dermaplaning! I have been to this place 4 times. I had a hot stone massage, pedi and shellac mani on Sept 17. The shellac Mani, started peeling 2 days after it was done. I called and spoke with the manager and the shellac was redone on Sept 22. So far, so good. I'm happy that this establishment focuses on customer satisfaction as their #1 priority. Thanks Madeline! I go here for laser treatment and Madeleine is so wonderful. Amazing! She can give you a personalize treatment and really consider what you want as a result. It was my first time and she made me feel comfortable and at ease. I will be trying the facial treatment and is excited. I recommend this place and its very clean and good quality customer sevice.

I’ve been coming to Highland Creek MedSpa for almost 8 years for facials. Madeleine is so knowledgeable about skin. She gives the best facial and peels, my favourite is the AFA Gel Peel. This is also my favourite manicure. Paola is amazing, I’ve never had nail polish last so long. The wax treatment on your hands leave them so soft.

I’m so happy to have such a high-quality spa in this eastern corner! I wish I found Highland Med Spa (formerly La Lune) sooner! I had a shellac mani and regular pedi with eyebrow shaping on June 28/22. I had to return 2 days later to redo one hand nail. The entire manicure came undone this past week. I have had shellac that typically lasts 2 weeks. Pedi is great. Missed some spots with the eyebrow waxing. Not worth $140, very disappointed.

My experience @Highland Creek Medspa was great, first to comment the location is nice, clean and well kept. The staff are welcoming and friendly. My massage with Natalia was phenomenal it was exactly what I needed then my manicure and pedicure with Maria was exceptional. Keep up the great job!!!⭐️

I live downtown but come to this place for many of their services. I'm picky about cleanliness. It's the only place I get manis and pedis. I especially like their packages. Very unique in how they combine yoga, mediation with beauty treatments. I love it. It's like going on a yoga retreat.

The owners and staff of this establishment care so much for their clients. They’ve listened to my concerns and provide excellent service. They have guided me with skin care tips and routines that have proved very effective - at 50 my skin honestly looks better than ever!

I have been a client here for 7 years now! I went for a rosewater pedicure today -- a big step for me since I have been self-isolating since the beginning of March. Rest assured, they are following all the safety protocols related to Covid-19. I felt safe and secure.

A lovely little spa in the heart of Highland Creek plaza. It was a mini-retreat after a busy day. I had the rose-water pedicure and it was great. Their polishes do not include the toxic trio. The parafin treatment was amazing. Not rushed, and not fumy.

Poor Quality Service! After one week the shellac on one of my nails chipped from the side. I paid $105 for this service and was expecting it to last at least 3 weeks. NOT RECOMMEND for nail service.
