My favourite book store in Sydney. A little oasis of calm; well stocked with pleasant and helpful staff who do free gift wrapping on all purchases. I'm not sure why there is a bad review on here. This reviewer needs to check their facts - it's not a chain, in fact the person who founded the store was born in Balmain.

I tried asking for advice/help for finding a book about steel or metal manufacturing as a gift for a friend and the old lady working there was super rude and oddly judgemental about it. I couldn’t understand her attitude and why she was

lovely bookshop with a great selection. I called ahead asking for a particular title which they didn't have but the staff member recommended other similar titles. when I got to the store she again helped me and picked out the books.

Absolutely love this bookshop on Darling Street Balmain. Lovely friendly staff who will order you anything if the store doesn’t carry it. Great atmosphere too when you walk in. Always very welcoming.

Great variety of books - the atmosphere is cosy, with a great layout - the service is wonderful and the prices are very reasonable. Would definitely recommend paying a visit

Great little neighborhood bookstore. Cozy setup, good selection and savvy staff - but I can NOT understand the mysterious sorting of the books.
