Doctor
"Impossible to get ahold of, lost my clients documents (and then gas lit my client claiming she never handed it in, when her other support worker handed it in personally), receptionist lied to my face in regards to my client (I am a support worker) when attempting to make appointments (by telling me they were not registered, simply because she felt I was not "trust worthy", a judgement she had no place making, especially to the detriment of my client)"
"Absolutely awful surgery in recent times, if you have any sort of mental health"
"This is one of the worst doctor surgeries I've every been to and it's only getting worse"
"Pathetic appointment service"
"Good beginnings; End Well? The reception staff are easy to deal with and the nursing personnel are very friendly, they place you at ease and are extremely knowledgeable"
Impossible to get ahold of, lost my clients documents (and then gas lit my client claiming she never handed it in, when her other support worker handed it in personally), receptionist lied to my face in regards to my client (I am a support worker) when attempting to make appointments (by telling me they were not registered, simply because she felt I was not "trust worthy", a judgement she had no place making, especially to the detriment of my client). Then there is my own personal experience of piss poor behaviour, from bad attitude to flicking the end of a needle that was IN MY ARM, which resulted in bleeding for hours and the worst bruising I have ever had from bloods (and that had been a fair few times) If not for my client I would have written this surgery off, but alas, this is the only one whose catchment area includes my clients area. Only rated 2 stars cause it could be worse, but only just.
Absolutely awful surgery in recent times, if you have any sort of mental health. Any physical health is put down to your mental health...... Like god knows why you would think you were in pain just cause you have bipolar..... People with bipolar surely can't feel pain Dr's here are rude and unhelpfel, and when one does prescribe something to help another takes it away again with no real explanation and no replacement. Terrible communication and I am left feeling I am part of a hate crime against the surgery and my mental health. Dr Montague very unhelpful or just taking his bad days and lack of mental health knowledge out on me.
This is one of the worst doctor surgeries I've every been to and it's only getting worse. They make telephone appointments and don't stick to them themselves leaving you another 3 weeks to get another appointment, that's if you're lucky enough to receive an appointment in the first place. Then we have their negligence of service users and a huge lack in their duty of care, all they do is fob you off or don't investigate any illness if it requires using their brain and not Google! I have followed up with a report to the care quality commissioners now as they are an absolute disgrace.
Pathetic appointment service. Called them 3 days in a row to get an appointment for my 2 year old who had severe tonsillitis and high fever they didn’t give an appointment said “ WE ARE FULLY BOOKED”. Went in surgery at 8am stood in line to get appointment the receptionist said come at 10:10 and when I finally went in with my daughter she said it was 9:50 (ten to ten) and said the doctor can’t see her and I’ve to ring or come tomorrow again at 8am to get “the appointment”. Horribly PATHETIC SERVICE. If you’ve a child DO NOT REGISTER AT THIS GP
Good beginnings; End Well? The reception staff are easy to deal with and the nursing personnel are very friendly, they place you at ease and are extremely knowledgeable. The doctors themselves, however, are hurtfully arrogant, under-knowledged regarding extra-curricular services and have extremely poor communication with other departments for the NHS. I would recommend this practice as a standard, if-there's-no-other surgery. If there is another easily available, use that, under whatever circumstances.
I would only recommend 1 as some of the doctors are decent. Other than that the phone staff on both sides make it hard to book a appointment seeming it’s a serious matter after a car accident I have troubles with my back and yet because I never had my bloods took for a different matter they couldn’t do so made every excuse possible I HATE there phone staff
My partner was trying to get appointment, but was informed that he need to call in the morning to get one... When trying to call from 8am nobody answering l, it looks like line is closed. it's already 10 30am and I'm trying to call every 20min... Will see what they will say when I will show there after work... Hope that there will be some help.
I may be prejudiced as I'm used to Horfield where I had to wait for three weeks for an appointment because of the foreigners, but when a receptionist apologises that the closest appt is a week away - I am only too happy to be there. UPDATE I am pleased with the service as my doctor did send the information for my PIP to the DWP and the RAFBF.
Like most gp surgery's nowadays it's practically impossible to get an appointment here. It's not their fault but that doesn't help anyone when they need non urgent medical attention. No answers on the phone and if you do get through all booking are taken so you have to try again the next day and it's always the same story
After an 11 min wait I spoke with a rather rude receptionist who spoke over me and at me. Wanted to make a face to face appointment was told face to face appointments were for life threatening illnesses. Only other option was a telephone conference. Asked about complaints procedure, no response. Unsatisfactory
I’ve been with this surgery for about 5-6 months and can’t fault them! I’ve never been registered with a doctors and had genuine help like this one. The staff are so nice and helpful and the doctors are caring and actually help and listen to you. I always get an appointment and help I need.
This practice is awful service they doesn't care anybody its needs ages to book an appointment and always busy line and when you finally talk to one of them they tell you to call in the morning 8 am but the phone is occupied so you keep trying no success at all...
Disgusting place to be part of it, I suffered a cut in my hand, I went to the hospital, they send me to my gp, the gp never create an appointment, I loose sensitivity in my hand because their actions. Nobody helps they just play the hot potato with their patients.
Worst place to get an appointment in Bristol, the reception staff clearly hate their jobs and you get deal with that. As part of the NHS patients are guaranteed face to face appointments regardless of what this place tells you, remember that.
Ive had to use this surgery after i suffered a spinal cord injury. So terrible and takes them ages to do anything and its normally wrong. Could never get me the prescriptions i wanted and a lot of the time had to go to boots
My mum is disabled and I look after her. I called Friday at 8 couldn't get through until gone 11 just to be told I should have called at 8 and got told to ring back today at 8am (Monday) still no answer. Ridiculous
Impossible to get hold of, even thought you wait for 8:00am on the dot and “ user busy “ . Drs have no compassion or interest in regards to mental health. The practice is an absolute joke and needs improving ALOT.
Refused to see my 11 yo daughter relating to self harm due them not having a letter from some other agency. absolutely disgraceful behaviour. I am currently making a formal complaint with NHS England.
Can't even get phone appointments nowadays. Telling someone with mental health issues, that took all of their courage to phone in the first place, to call back later seems very irresponsible to me.
Worst doctors in the world always sat around doing nothing acting like there busy make you wait in line for ages to just tell you there are no appointments. Place needs to be shut down.
Horrible GP care! Excuses for treatment of any health issues.Refusing basic blood tests. They doesn't care at all of patients. Dr Ahmed is the worst GP I've meet in my life!
Receptionist are rude and unhelpful been trying to get an appointment for 2 hours, they obviously need more staff
