"Loved this place! The subway is literally across from the ball park and we were there opening week"
"We love the fact that there's a huge baseball park all the way in the back of the park, which is completely fenced in therefore our German Shepherd can get in all the playtime and laps she can handle, and there's no need for a leash, because it's completely gated"
"Legendary playground that graced the shoes of Dr j, Kobe, KD, and countless others! (And a bucket list place for me happily fulfilled)"
"Super cool experience for hoops fans"
I grew up over here and I can truly say it feels, it looks, it is different. We used to have Harlem Week, major Rucker Basketball games. Ready, Willing, & Able wasn't apart of this area until later years. Rucker games are not as inviting or inspiring like it use to be. The violence killed the spirit of this once popular area. Whether it was from the court, the park, or from PGT across the street, The ppl I've watched , heard of, or known become successful whether working summer youth turning it into a full time permanent job, joining basketball teams, playing at Rucker, getting recognition, picked up by the NBA... I seen it all. Some things I wish I can forget. Nonetheless, Rucker will forever be apart of a story in someone's life, it may have been good, it may have been bad, for me it will always be of remembrance
Loved this place! The subway is literally across from the ball park and we were there opening week. The day we went there Adidas was giving away free stuff and the security guy at the front was so nice and told my daughter to get in line for it. We watched the games and the emcees did a great job and the crowd was cool! Seats were available and there were officers there for security at the exit gate. Loved watching the games and the vibe, emcees, music and crowd were on point. We left with a new pair of shoes and a fit! I’ll definitely be back to watch more games in the future!
We love the fact that there's a huge baseball park all the way in the back of the park, which is completely fenced in therefore our German Shepherd can get in all the playtime and laps she can handle, and there's no need for a leash, because it's completely gated. It's especially fun when the other pet owners bring their dogs too, and coincidentally, there's 3 more Shepherd owners in this neighborhood. There's something for everyone here, tennis, basketball (not to mention that Rutgers basketball tournaments are Poppin all summer long. What's not to love
Legendary playground that graced the shoes of Dr j, Kobe, KD, and countless others! (And a bucket list place for me happily fulfilled)...regulars couldn't have been nicer...won a few games...lost a few others.. ran into a few guys from Chicago(like me)who ventured here to fulfill a dream.... could have let the magic of this place keep me here all day (yet the fatigue let me succumb after 4hours)...to play...or just to watch...any true hoops fan should see one of the few remaining playground meccas left...
Super cool experience for hoops fans. The league is competitive and it felt like there were a few classic Rucker moves/passes in every game. Not much dunking but there was a little above-the-rim-play. Most of the show comes from dudes handling and passing the ball. Admission is free- there is some security there and they do pat-downs but it's a really chill atmosphere. It's right next to the subway station so it's easy to get to. Felt perfectly safe in the neighborhood.
The atmosphere is electric, with fans cheering and shouting encouragement from the sidelines. And even though the court is outdoors, the sense of community and passion for the game is palpable. While there may not be many amenities or frills at Rucker Park, that's part of what makes it so special. This is basketball at its purest and most raw - no fancy equipment, no corporate sponsorships, just the love of the game and the talent of the players.
This place is Legendary every top professional Basketball player has played on this court or visited the park you never know who you'll see from the Mayor to Rappers all sorts of important people come to visit here,And it's kid friendly which it has a children's park to the right of the Basketball courts and a baseball/ Football field in the back.
Such an amazing, historic park. There's a playground for kids, sprinklers which are great for hot summer days, and an amazing basketball court. We went during some school tournament event, and it was great to see young kids play their hearts out and win. Such a great experience, I'm glad I came here!
Love this place and its everything i thought it would be and i came on a day when it was some people out playing ball. Clean park with basketball courts and playground right beside. Definitely will come back and get some buckets. Check me out on Ig/Fb @Hoopin_Like_Rello
The words will not express my excitement when I finally got there...even though it's been 16 years since my last visit I still get that chill down the spine you only feel when you are at the mythical place. 10 out of five from me! Unforgetable.
A little 'gem' in the ❤️ of Harlem; where many well-known & famous basketball legends fine-tuned their skills. It's still maintained & used, and there is a 'historical facts' placket is displayed. Can you name a few of them???
Free basketball games in the summer. Police presence. Pat down to gain entry. Some streetball legends may be in attendance. Funny announcers. A lot of stray people on the court at various times. Great talent
A very cool place to check out if you are a basketball fan. Easily accessible and lots of parking nearby. Though I imagine it can get pretty busy during peak season.

Classic iconic spot for ballers, though not as well used as it's been in the past. It's still a great place to stop and shoot the ball around with glass backboards and adjustable height rims.
Very clean, and my grandsons enjoyed playing on the court... where the movie Uncle Drew was filmed, and many now basketball greats have played... Thanks for a wonderful memory! …
Childhood dream of my husband was to visit the place where all the greats played. We got to do it and it was worth it. The apt building and the train track so HARLEM...GREAT feeling.
You could possibly see a NY Knicks, NBA, or Harlem Legend. But even without that, the people are great, the Emcees are hilarious, and you're guaranteed to have a good time
This park is famous for their basketball games. We came here with our toddler and were sad to see adults smoking cigarettes and weed at the playground next to children.
NYvsNY event sponsored by Nike was a great opportunity for the talented youth who competed and those love competitive basketball games in a fun and safe environment.
I grew up here as a kid, every summer this playground is filled with celebrities from all over the world even the NBA Players plus the And1 Street Team.
Finally got chance to see the Historic Rucker Park. Must see, wish there would have been some ballers playing that day.
It was so dope to go play and ball on it for a sec. Cool to be there. Definitely a way nicer court then I expected.
Went to see my cousin and her team take the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME FOR THE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM …
Great place for the whole family. The games are always exciting and you never know what celebrity might show up
Watched 2 perfect strangers ball 1-on-1 and enjoyed their game while sitting in the shade under the trees!
The basketball court, handball courts and the baseball fields are great. The rest of the park needs work.
Went to Ruckers Park for the NY Knicks watch party. Had a great time. The Polo Grounds Housing. This was
It was dope watching my kid play ball on a court so many legends graced. Fair warning it's in the hood.
Nice place to visit!! One of Harlem's most legendary place a must see while in New York!!✌✌ …
Visited here on our hip-hop tour. Coby Bryant apparently played here. It's a great place to visit
I visited this park 3 times and I intend to make more. Had a really good time taking photos.
Love Rucker! You can’t be a true hoops fan unless you go hoop here on these sacred grounds!
I played there as teenager and every time I'm home , I have to go to the legendary court
It's a great place to play sporot, I often come here to throw the ball around.
Great basketball court. The surface is rubbery and the hoops are premium.
Excellent atmosphere, get there very early though. It was packed
Everything I hoped it would be! You can feel the energy here!
The Mecca of Basketball!!! Blackout 2023 was there! Lit lit
