Kiki and the team provided us with delectable catering and gorgeous decorations, attending to every tiny detail with a finesse that made our day seamless. Kiki's unyielding passion and dedication is evident in everything she does, and it's safe to say our day wouldn't have been the same without her and her team. Came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. It wasn't busy, but the owner (or waitress) came to our table twice to check that we had received our orders and that the orders were correct. She also brought someone's coffee to our table accidentally, so maybe meals are commonly served incorrectly here? The offerings are very standard cafe style; french toast, granola, eggs Benedict, omlette etc. They have an a la carte menu, so you can make your own plate too. I had pancakes and my partner had eggs Benedict. The serving size is quite small and the prices are on the higher size, but the food is good. The pancakes were soft and fluffy, and the grilled banana was great. They have a nice setting on the park, but this place isn't anything special.

This place always has so many people, so we thought we’d try it out. Our experience was very disappointing. After ordering, we did overhear that the owners changed recently which then made sense why there were so many people there for a mediocre experience. The food was terrible (chorizo that tasted like hot dogs, unripened and uncooked tomatoes - don’t get the Spanish omelette.) Our table was broken and next to a bin. The only reason I give 2 stars is due to the coffee and location. We tried it but it was an expensive and disappointing exercise. Would recommend heading to a different cafe in the area.

If you’re looking for an easy brunch with safe and average options, this is your go-to. Sure, the menu isn’t expansive and doesn’t offer you lavish options but what Hollis Park is good for is being your everyday kind of cafe. The food is good, the coffee is good, the service is good. It’s not great but it does the job. We ordered a strawberry toast and a classic egg and bacon roll. Both were pretty average and you could probably make them at home with little effort. But hey, that’s ok, sitting and enjoying a meal with the sun shining was nice!

For all I can say… everything is perfect ! I tried the spanish omelette and the corn fritters with prawns and they were DE-LI-CI-OUS !!! I would 100% recommend it. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and they made sure we were comfortable. The manager always make sure that everything is perfect and that customers leave the café with good memories and well-fed tummies !! The coffee is amazingly done, well-trained baristas with a very good customer service… honestly best Mocha I had in Sydney so far. Thank you Hollis park café team, you guys are amazing and I’ll definitely come back to try everything else on the menu !!

Very tasty omelette from Hollis Park Cafe. It seems they like smoked salmon here as it's prevalent throughout the menu. Coffee was good. Service was good. Parking was typical of the inner west which was to be expected. Cheerful waiter who was excellent at attending to patrons needs. Lots of foot traffic from the park across the street. Plenty of take away coffee options. Overall a very happy and relaxed experience.

Hi guys, I just wanted to share with you a fantastic experience that I shared with my girlfriend and her mum at Cafeism. We went there for breakfast this morning and all really enjoyed the quality of the product used in each and every dish we had. I took their Ism burger and enjoyed every single bit of it. The manager is a French guy that knows how to please his clients by serving good food and being surrendered by very lovely staff. :) I will come back and might see some fresh faces enjoying this good time !!!

A five star food safety rating on the door pretty much says it all. Good quality and tasty food. The owner is French and the food is as stereo-typically French in its quality. Only thing for me is that it is quite small and I am a bit claustrophobic so I avoid it when busy. However living nearby it isn't hard to catch them when they are a bit quieter. They do a roaring trade in the weekend and it isn't surprising as locals know the quality places to eat. Well worth the short diversion from King St.

Lovely little cafe on the corner, across the street from a beautiful park. Indoor and outdoor seating, with large, open windows. The coffee was good and the sandwiches were delicious and generously proportioned. Prices were also good for Sydney! But the best part was definitely the atmosphere and the staff. Everyone was welcoming, friendly and clearly cares about their jobs/ the cafe. The owner was very kind and invested in is customers. Will definitely return

Positives - Coffee is good and nice proximity to a kids park. Meals are enormous. Negatives - the banana pancakes were covered in caramel sauce and syrup, and not what I expected. The pancakes were not fresh and fruit (lychees, cherry's) were tinned. Massive banana on top and chuncked ricotta. I wouldn't order ever again. The bacon and egg on Turkish bread was a burger again not what I expected but it was OK.

Lovely little neighbourhood cafe that is dog friendly, just opposite Hollis Park! Easy going and friendly service. We had a halloumi stack, salmon stack, corn fritters and scrambled eggs on toast with roasted tomatoes! Tasty and good portions with reasonable prices! We will be back next time we are in the area!

Absolutely the best eggs Benedict EVER! Many choices in the menus and always love the “all day breakfast” menu. Service is extremely friendly, genuine and effervescent. Great location and very comfortable and inviting establishment. Can’t say enough positives on here to express my overall enjoyment with this place. Food, atmosphere, coffee, everything. Top marks!

Chicken wrap was good, but the timely service is a pain, I had to seat a table that the previous coffee was not cleaned. The coffee was forgot to serve and I ended up have to go to the counter let ‘em know I didn’t get it after half an hour wait. Consider less peak hour visit.

It's a nice little cafe at a great location. Unfortunately they now seem to be serving a 'halal bacon' instead of real bacon without disclosing it on the menu. I don't like the substitute product and I don't like that it's advertised as bacon. Please bring back real bacon! (Or at least disclose what you are selling)

This is my favourite café in the Newtown Area- the atmosphere is lovely, the staff are so welcoming and the food is delicious. Great value for money as well. Could not recommend enough! (Pro tip: get the halloumi stack)

Haven't been here for a while but maybe chef was away today? Chicken burger came out with no aoli, burnt dry chicken between two tiny burnt pieces of sourdough instead of turkish rolls. Meals also came out 10min apart.

I really like coming here. Its at the back so its not super manic and busy. Good pancakes (banana/honey/ricotta) and good coffees. Pretty much everything we've had here is a decent feed. Its also a great place to come sit after picking at freebies from the everleigh markets at carriageworks.

Been going there for years and loved it. Didnt realise management had changed. Under new management disorganised service, quality of food ordinary and coffee undrinkable. Solution. Find another breakfast spot.

My regular coffee spot. Everyone is super friendly, and always remembers your order. Even let me come back and pay the next day when I forgot my card once. Also love the BLAT, some people on the comments slamming the beef bacon but I rate it. Would give more stars if I could. 10 outta 10

A lovely simple cafe with all the classics across the road from Hollis Park. Really friendly staff and fast service. I mostly get coffees from here but I also sometimes get the Portuguese tarts and the ham and cheese croissants. All very yum! Good prices and a classic Australian cafe!

Very tasty food and great coffee but what makes this my favourite local spot is the location! Very pleasant outlook onto leafy back streets and Hollis Park which is taken advantage of with wonderful large windows that are always opened, and bar areas that face out through the windows.

Amazing location with great coffee and food. All the staff are very kind and friendly. We had our wedding reception here after having the event down the road. Kiki and her staff were absolutely amazing at making our day special. Would highly recommend for everyday and special events.

Delicious smooth and caramel Flavoured Coffee this morning. The staff were very friendly and prompt with service as well… Which was great as we were about to bid at an auction... The great news is we managed to buy the house so we will be seeing more of you very soon!

Unorganised and completely forgot my order, had to go in and ask after about half an hour to find they had given it to someone else. The mango smoothie was also really quite bad.

Been there with my Mrs for brunch on Sunday 15/5/2022, We had French Toast and Smashed Avo. absolutely loved everything, made with love definitely ... and the coffee was made to perfection. Thank you Hollis team and big fat thank you to Kiki :)

My ricotta pancakes were dense and very overcooked and dark brown, not fluffy and golden. The third piece on the bottom was half the size of the other two, also burnt. They forgot about our tea as well. Service was attentive but not all smiles.

Cute little cafe with a great view across to Hollis Park. Coffee is good and the food tasty and not too expensive. The dining area has big windows that open up onto the street, meaning that it has a nice open and airy feel on a summer day.

Well worth what they charge. They have very helpful table service and located on a small street so away from the noise. The toasts we got were so jam packed with the goodies it was plenty to cover us till dinner.
