Unfortunately, our experience was unpleasant. Our oat milk coffees were disgusting, watery and bitter. After politely bringing this to the attention of staff, they were unpleasant and disinterested. They eventually re-made our coffees and gave them to us - no apology, no acknowledgement, no interest in customer service. After serving them, it was very clear that they continued to talk about us amongst themselves as they looked at the returned coffees and pointed. For a cafe in such a premium location, this experience was just awful. The staff here really need to learn about what customer service means and how to treat customers as humans rather than an inconvenience. Looking at previous reviews, it looks as though this experience isn’t an isolated one and the management don’t care about improving their business.

Went from awesome to crappy in 1 year. This place used to be our go-to place for coffee and lunch, with delicious food (haloumi yum!), and the best service (my partner and I were very fond of a waitress called Jiho, who always put extra ice cream in our iced mochas). First, they axed the lunch menu, replacing it with tepid eggs-on-toast and microwaved cabinet junk. Then, Jiho left, replaced by bog-standard wait staff. Now they don't even put ice-cream in the mochas :( It's now just another flaccid cafe, living off tourist foot-traffic that doesn't know any better. There's no real reason to go here any more, unless one can't walk one minute to the next boring cafe.

Salmon wrap is always a winner... however when u order a dish with poached eggs... they pull it out of the window and heat it up in the microwave which then turn the egg into a hard boiled egg and the overall dish is ruined. I understand they have to premake certain things because of how busy they may be... but no other cafe I have been to has served me a luke warm hard boiled egg that's meant to be poached. Banana bread is a winner too.. best I have tried... and teas/coffees are great too.

VERY RUDE STAFF. DO NOT EAT HERE. For such a highly respected area, this cafe is the complete opposite. No welcoming. Horrible service. One lady in particular pretty much made it out like it was illegal to bring in coffee from another shop into the cafe. I ordered food and specifically asked her to not put ham in my sandwich and she did. When I asked her to make me a new one she rolled her eyes and snatched the plate. Is it that hard to be nice to people who pay your wages??

I'm sure this cafe has changed names. Now Victoria House Cafe. It seems the new owners have done wonders. For starters they now use "Grounds by Alexandria" coffee. And they have a new menu with good meals. Love their sandwiches.

Good service, good food, good coffee. Nice little caffe downstairs in the queen victoria building. There are a few, however this was in a slightly quieter location down stairs. Basic menu, however the toasted ham cheese tomato on facacia (however you spell that) was made fresh and had good amounts of fresh ingredients Just what we were after :)

Situated inside the QVB on the lower floor, this cafe was convenient for our morning in the city and was quick with the service. Friends we were with stated the coffee was fantastic and I had some sour dough toast with some fresh salmon which was just that - fresh. Seating available to dine in or able to take away as well.

Wonderful experience. The coffee is the best I have had in town and the service is wonderful. The staff are always so nice and friendly and nothing is a trouble to them. The food is exceptional, from the sit down meals, to the freshly made muffins that I grab with my coffee. A little oasis in the middlw of the city.

Great find in the inner city. We were marooned in a desert of bad coffee at the World Towers until we discovered this place. They roast their own and know how to pour a shot. Good simple breakfast with hi qual sourdough and nice attention to detail. Funky French beats on the stereo, nice ambience.

This cafe located at the basement level of the famous Queen Victoria Building. They serve a nice coffee, I ordered my regular flat white and my hubby had his latte. It was a nice spot to have coffee and relax after circling the shopping precincts within the building.

The service was poor The food was stale and when I complained, they did not care A lady from another table fell off her chair onto the ground and they did not help The chairs are poorly made, cheap and flimsy . would not go again

Really awful cold brew (I took two sips and tossed it). It was very bitter. Also their almond piccolo was average. Same story. I'd recommend visiting other cafes in the area. This spot just benefits from the high traffic in QVB

Had two soy lattes two days in a row and they were honestly like the best coffees I've had in many moons. Bless your barista and your lovely serving staff. They are a gift to humanity and an inspiration to us all. #blessed

I’m a big fan of Campos coffee so I tend to go to cafes with their beans. This place makes a good creamy coffee with a nice flavour. It’s a good quick pit stop on the LG of the QVB - has a nice range of food too.

My wife and i the special brekky burger and the bun was not great quality for $15. Coffee was luke warm.. I used to go to this place every day when I worked nearby but wouldn't come back again, sorry to say.

  • Zeinab Hijazi

Staff are very rude, I asked for my breakfast to be remade as they cross contaminated & they refused. Staff also asked me to move my coffee off the table near where I was standing as it wasn’t from them.

  • Stephen Gauci

It was too hard for the staff to sugar our coffees (told sugar is on the table) and in the display banana bread was $5 but we were charged $6.50 (apparently was $6.50 in the menu) Won't be back soon

The food served here is practically indistinguishable from its big sister, Home Thai, around the corner, but the great thing about this place is that the queues are typically a lot shorter!

  • Shane Collins

Charged $2 per person extra to have our coffee at a table in take away mugs on a quiet Sunday. Very expensive for a cafe. No signage stating any additional charge applies! Very rude owner

  • Kimberly MP

Super friendly staff and great coffee. They currently have a Taro Latte which is AMAZING and everything is well priced for the quality. I work nearby and am a regular visitor :)

  • Elizabeth Lehmann

Great coffee, very nice and friendly staff but very unfriendly new manager. I stop to get my breakfast every day but if he is there I will keep walking.

They use golden cobra coffee beans. The flat white I ordered was smooth and not overly milky. The strawberry ricotta muffin which I got was good too.
