"Hoosier Academies is not for everyone, but for my 10th grade daughter it is working fairly well"
"After being fed the biggest "sales" pitch I have ever heard in my life, to say that I was disappointed in the program would be an epic understatement"
"My daughter started here in the first nine weeks of 2017 so its been almost a complete school year! We both love it! We tried Carmel Public schools and even a private Catholic school but honestly this school has ben amazing! We work ahead of schedule and I get to spend much for time with my daughter! Plus she is in dance many hours a Week so we can schedule privates in the day time! No homework so when we are finished by 1pm we have so much free time! Mr Johnson was her teacher 2 days a Week and I cant say enough things about him! There is something about male El Ed teachers! We need more of them because everyone I have ever met is amazing wit kids! As long as you as parent take care of your responsibilities this is the best option for schooling!"
"This was the worst school I have ever been to"
"I am an 8th grade student going into 9th grade very soon, I have gone to hoosier academy for all 8 years so I cannot (without bias) say that it is better than public schools"
Hoosier Academies is not for everyone, but for my 10th grade daughter it is working fairly well. If your child wants to get away from the social problems of traditional brick and mortar schools, this is a good alternative. Their systems are not perfect, but if your child is a self starter and is successful learning on their own with limited interaction, this is a good program to use. You will need patients in dealing with the staff as you get adjusted to the new workflows of online learning. As a parent, be prepared for more involvement with day to day activities until your child gets into a rhythm. You will know if the system is working for them by asking them after a month, which school they would choose. My daughter would never even consider going to a brick and mortar school ever again. She is measuring college opportunities based on their ability to provide on-line classes as a result of her experience.
After being fed the biggest "sales" pitch I have ever heard in my life, to say that I was disappointed in the program would be an epic understatement. Paperwork mishaps, lack of communication, and missing information are just the tip of the iceberg. They failed to reply to emails, tech support would drop calls on the VERY rare instance that we actually got to talk to someone. After trying since one week after thanksgiving to get headphones replaced and find out a password, I finally sent them a scathing email and within 72 hours they kicked my stepson out of school. I guess they don't deal with criticism very well. The tutor would sign out of chat as soon as a question would be asked, the teachers were either quitting or absent from "class". K-12 is a bad joke and I'm upset to know that my tax dollars are going to fund ANY portion of it.

This was the worst school I have ever been to. Granted its where I met my best friend 6 years ago. But being in this school I missed out on chances to be social with my peers. When I transferred into North Central my second semester of my freshman year I was unable to socialize with my peers there. It was a grueling heart aching 2 years before I became able to be social again. This school made me an outcast in actual society. I am now a senior graduating class of 2016 and ive made more friends in 3 years of public school than i did in 4 and a half years at Hoosier Academies.
I am an 8th grade student going into 9th grade very soon, I have gone to hoosier academy for all 8 years so I cannot (without bias) say that it is better than public schools. Although, I can say that all of the teachers are very professional and work really hard to give the best education for their students. There are many good things about Hoosier academy and very few bad things. I am a hybrid student and I love the mix of home schooling and school days. Very awesome school.
We love hoosier academy. Been with you for 7 years. Just wish you loved us enough to fight for us to stay open
Taking home schooling to the next level.
Love this place!
Very nice
