There are gyms, there are personal trainers, there are coaches, there are cross training facilities and then there is HYBRID. It is like your personal wish list rolled into one place. It is not a gym as much as a community with a common interest of living a healthy life. There is no intimidation, no egos and no way not to be able to challenge yourself in any way possible. The positivity, passion and experience exudes from every trainer and every member at Hybrid. There is no goal too small or too big and the team is there to help you achieve what you truly didn’t think you could. You can’t do a burpee? No problem, we modify until you can do one and we will motivate you the whole way through. You’ve never lifted a weight before, don’t worry we will get you there. You are the most experienced gym rat on the planet, no worries let’s make it the universe. The only thing you need to bring is yourself, a positive attitude and put your best foot forward. You will find that you hate if you have to miss a day and that fear of “OMG it is too hard” changes very quickly to “OMG I can’t wait to see what I am capable of.” The workouts are always challenging and creative and will remind you of muscles you weren’t sure you had. Hybrid is serious about keeping you safe and your technique sound and they work hard to ensure you increase your body awareness and understand the dos and don’ts of lifting. I have learned so much about how technique is directly correlated to my strength and have become so much more aware of what I am doing which has just increased the positive results from every workout. I have never met such a positive group of members that motivate each other, cheer each other on and are great to have a laugh with as well as the most dedicated and committed trainers you could ever hope for. They know your names, know your strengths, know your weaknesses and are constantly committed to helping you improve as well as keeping up on latest research to continually improve themselves and their amazing business. Between 6 days of working out and the super fun events they run (movie night, trivia night, or just hey let’s grab a beer) they have become like family. Sounds too good to be true then come test it out for yourself!
The past few months my wife and I have been sweating our butts off at Hybrid Training. The passion and drive for what they do, and the community they’ve built around their gym is testament to their success. There’s no judging at Hybrid and everyone is there to support & encourage each other - something that is hard to find these days. And it’s always fresh. Every single day is a different workout, with us being taught new skills that are totally out of our comfort zone, which has kept things challenging & fun to say the least. There’s always room for improvement and their experience & attention to correcting our form is what sets them apart, and makes us want to come back. We’re active people who love traveling and being outdoors, and Hybrid has allowed us to build up our fitness, strength and confidence, making us actually want to get to the next level, without any burden of “having to go the gym”. There really is #nolimits. If you’re in the Hornsby/North Shore area, and are looking to improve your fitness, then you need to join the Hybrid Training community.
A solid gym. Lots of floor space, with some extra equipment that's "non-essential" but nice to have, such as Olympic weightlifting surfaces, fat pull-up bars, a sled with a designated lane, a ski erg, a peg board, and strongman balls. The creche is decked out with toys and a PlayStation (great for busy parents), and the bathroom facilities are equipped with a shower and deodorant so we can all smell fab. Half the boxes are wooden the other half are foam based, so you can choose either stability or some thing more shin graze friendly! Overall, it's a very comprehensive gym. The coaches are very experienced, and put safety first. As the "Hybrid" name suggests, the workouts combine different elements of fitness, and tax both aerobic and anaerobic energy systems. But it's not just a gym to workout in, but also to hang out in, have some serious fun, and experience genuine community! Most importantly, this place is welcoming no matter your fitness level. The coaches and members are all very friendly, and are simply wonderful people. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Hybrid Training is not a normal gym! It’s a place to come together with great coaches - Ben, Paul - and an inspiring gang of people to transform your mind, body and life. From the start, during my 3x one-on-one baseline sessions, Paul and Ben focus on understanding my goals, learning about my fitness history, coaching me as I learnt new techniques and getting me back up-to-speed to join the group sessions. The group sessions are lots of fun with friendly encouragement. I like that working out with others is not a competition. The programs always have a great warm-up, a section focused on technique and strength building, followed by an intense Workout of the Day (WoD). The coaches really focus on form and technique, which helps reduce chance of injury. I appreciated that they changed a routine to suit a historic shoulder injury so that I could keep training without loading it and adding more stress > these guys really care. Hybrid Training is a very, very cool place. The layout is great, the equipment is in fantastic order, the place is clean, and the schedule is very flexible. The coaches / owners are basically superheroes, always looking out for the members' safety and encouraging us to keep pushing ourselves but always with the mindset of "Train, don't maim". They're professionally recognised, certified AND awesome people to be around. Then, there's the most important aspect of what makes Hybrid Training so special; the 100+ members supporting every milestone, every PB, and every breakthrough you'll achieve on your fitness journey. You wont find a more engaging and supportive group of people anywhere, each with their own personal story about how Hybrid Training has positively affected their lives. We, essentially, don't let each other fail! No matter what your fitness level, you'll be welcomed with open arms. Love this place.
If you’re looking for a great space that’s clean, good equipment with a great team that will get you in shape, you won’t go wrong here. There are lots of gyms out there that’ll just take your money, but not many gyms that really care about your journey towards getting mobile. I had a back issue, and the trainers really went out of their way to modify things so that I could to move towards my goals. If you’re not fit it’s great place to start cause it’s not overwhelming, and if you’re super fit male or female there are some awesome and inspiration role models here. Also classes are a good size, not packed out so you are hidden from the trainers.
I've gone to Hybrid for around 9 months now (give or take some time), to use the Loft gym by myself. The flexibility the 24 hour gym gives me is so good, especially when balancing my schedule with school, academics and MMA. I have tried coming to Hybrid at a range of times in the day, and it has always been a great experience. The owners Ben and Paul have done a wonderful job of creating an active, engaging and supportive community to work out in, and the wide range of free weights and machines has allowed me to tailor my workouts for MMA successfully. The showers and bathroom are also very clean and are consistently supplied with toiletries.
This is my third week with Hybrid, and I am absolutely addicted. I was never a fan of classes and gyms, preferring to work out solo. Everyone at Hybrid Training is so very friendly, supportive and really encouraging. There are no egos here, it is just a fun and crazy work out every time. Paul, Ben and Mitch are excellent coaches and really help you to work on your form. You do not feel like you are being left to your own devices, and for someone like me who is a complete beginner, you can’t ask for more than that. I read all the reviews before joining, and I can confidently say, that they are all true!!!
Myself and a friend booked in for the special training with Paul that gave us 3 sessions of the pleasure of Paul teaching us the techniques to ensure when we train that we can perform to get the best movement and therefore results from the exercise as well as remain injury free. I thought Paul was amazing sharing so much of his expertise and we both learnt so much that will carry us forward in all our sporting endeavours. You can tell that the trainers and the members enjoy their time spent in the gym. I can highly recommend Hybrid if you are looking for first class trainers and a community that cares.
If you are looking for a gym and training methodology that is fun, constantly varied, pushes you to achieve your best and makes you feel great then Hybrid Training is the place to be. The members are a genuine and real community that support and encourage each other. The coaches are an absolute wealth of knowledge, extremely supportive and so giving with their time to ensure each individual is getting what they need. Whatever your physical abilities and goals the coaches can tailor every workout for you, if you are thinking about joining, do it, your only regret will be that you didn't start sooner.
Hybrid is a well thought-out gym with brilliant training methods where you are not only supported, but challenged and have fun. Ben and Paul take the time to find out your goals, and how to train within your physical ability. They couldn’t be more supportive and encouraging. As a chiropractor, this is what sold me on the gym and something you don’t get from a bigger commercial gym. My mobility has improved dramatically in the last year and I enjoy lifting, which is something I didn’t think I’d ever say! Well done boys! I've been attending Hybrid Training for the past six months. I'm stronger, healthier, and happier than ever. I've met some fantastic friends, I'm really enjoying the training, and I'm constantly inspired by the coaches. It's an amazing place to workout and challenge yourself. No one judges you - as long as you try your best. It doesn't matter what level of fitness you have.. or your age.. gender.. body type.. everyone is welcomed, nurtured, and all milestones (great and small) are celebrated. THE MOST AMAZING GYM IN THE AREA! The trainers have created a community of people who care, respect, love and treat each other like a family. The trainers offer a wide range of training suitable for everyone! They will individually focus on your needs and always encourage and support you, not only on the physical aspects of your life, but also mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I tried so many Gyms before joining Hybrid Training and I must share that this is the only Gym where I started seeing the results I have always wanted. Being rather unfit and in my fifties, I was a bit apprehensive to sign up, feeling it might be too difficult for me. But it was a hugely positive experience. Paul and Ben are two very talented fitness experts and their enthusiasm is infectious. The workouts will push you, but always at your own pace. The camaraderie and encouragement from fellow gym goers is the icing on the cake. Great gym!!!
Hybrid training has changed my life. Before I started at hybrid I had never been to a gym before and was a little nervous to start group training. The trainers and members are all so welcoming and I have now been at hybrid for 5 years and have never better and haven’t missed a week since I’ve started. I now can’t imagine my life without hybrid training in it . I can’t recommend them enough .

Without a doubt my favourite gym - Hybrid Training is an inviting space for people of all fitness levels. The trainers (and members) are very supportive and encouraging, and it is a fun place to work out. I found the trainers fantastic - they have great industry experience, pay close attention to form/technique and always offer helpful advice for their members.
I love the team at CrossFit Millennium, and they do a great job. None of those crazy stereotypical gym-heads - just dedicated people who have your best interests at heart, and drive you to do better through inspiring you - not from yelling at you. You really feel like part of a family with a common interest of fitness and not a sterile gym.

Hybrid is the most exceptional Gym. Not that you can really call it a Gym as it is a community, a family. You feel so welcomed here and the Hybrid team are extremely professional and motivational. Once you join you become part of the family and you will never want to leave. It is the best Gym ever.

Best gym I've ever been to. Very welcoming, great coaches and great crew. Going to this type of gym can be a bit intimidating for some people (it was for me) but I was quickly relieved to finally there were no egos here, just a bunch of great humans. Loved my time here and will be sad to move.

I moved to Sydney from the UK and I was looking for a place to work out and a place to make friends. Hybrid gym has both bases covered. A fantastic gym, fantastic coaching, fantastic people. Super encouraging atmosphere, no egos and know how to challenge you when you're able.
Excellent gym and classes with a terrific community environment. Great structure to the classes with a great timetable. Staff are super nice and welcoming. I've been achieving my training goals through their classes. Highly recommend Hybrid to everyone of any fitness level.

Before joining, I had 3 private lessons with Ben and it totally worth it. He could masterfully see the actuall root cause of any issue. Great lessons on how to be strong and safe, and well designed dirlls to learn new moves.
