Fantastic Orange Cake, Quiche, and Butter Tarts are reportedly delicious. Counter help are competent and friendly, despite always being extremely busy. I dealt with the owner elsewhere once. She was unbelievably rude and spoke horribly about her employees for not answering the phone, while she called the store incessantly. A general rule of customer service is to deal with the person waiting patiently in front of you before the phone is a priority. I was so repulsed by her behaviour, I boycotted this bakery for a long while. Eventually, the consistant quality, value and service drew me back in. I'm glad I have never seen her there. I do my best to avoid supporting establishments owned by people who verbally abuse their staff.

What a gem! Just found out about this place and am constantly suggesting to friends and family. Prices are reasonable and the quality of every product I tried so far is outstanding. I personally love the steak and mushroom pie and their kale salad. Huge selection of breads, cakes, and pastries. Staff was quick while also polite and fully engaged with each customer; they came across passionate about the environment and products. "To go" only, no seating.

Other than my quest for yummy croissants in the city and love for baked foods, I also support sustainability and fight against food waste; this wonderful place offers both and convenient walking distance to High Park. I came here once, early in the morning bought reduced price pastries and enjoy my cup of joe with croissants in the park, by the pond. Heavenly morning!

The pies advertised on the board outside are never available. They say it will be available the next day but that doesn't happen. EDIT: My apologies. I was frustrated after multiple long commutes to the bakery only to find items out of stock. I have changed my initial review and will place an online order moving forward. Thank you for your response.

Sorry, the food is good, but they use way too much plastic. Everything , even the baked goods, is swathed in plastic. Could not in good conscience buy anything as a result. Unfortunate. I appreciate that you are making the effort to change this, and will await further news. And for my mum, who LOVES your mac and cheese, I have revised the review.

I've only ever bought pastries and cakes from here. I would avoid the croissants since they are large, the wrong texture (doughy not flaky) and a bit flavourless. All the tarts and cookies are amazing and my particular fave is the passion fruit and raspberry (I believe) cheesecake. Smiling, happy attendants and a chipper clientèle.

Their multigrain bread is excellent in taste and texture, and their Fruit and Fibre cookies (flavoured with orange extract) are positively addictive. Other baked goods are tasty and reasonably priced, and the service is friendly and efficient. I have to go a bit out of my way to shop here, and it's worth every minute of the trip.

I discovered this little bakery on a whim a few months back and I must say, it’s worth the drive from Brampton. I stock up on Montreal bagels (3) and I also buy the New Yorker bagels (2) these don’t last long in the house. Great customer service and great quality bagels worth the drive. …

Nice enough shop, a bit of a squeeze trying to navigate the narrow space. Can’t help but feel that the breads all start out from a frozen state and baked in - house. Be prepared for a longer wait at the cash, perhaps the addition of an additional staff member would solve the problem.

They were doing a Halloween event for kids this morning and multiple families walked in with costumes and we weren't even acknowledged. Rude staff. Wouldn't go again.

My first time at the store - purchased Everything Bagel, Butter Croissants and French bread - everything was fantastic! Lady offered to slice the loaf for me - Thank you for that! Bagel was amazing :) The rest was fresh and very tasty as well.

Best tarts and pastries ever in this area. Sometimes I get the samosas which are very tasty too. I usually also get a fresh loaf of bread. There are many kinds of breads to choose from. Staff is very friendly and helpful too.

I ordered a blueberry scone and an almond croissant. The place was clean and people were welcoming, but these two products were too dry.
