"Best experience of my life"
I was very fortunate to stumble across this absolute gem in the cultural epicentre of Bristol! On arrival, the owner was extremely friendly. He supplied me with gauze to treat a burn to my arm that was caused by a seemingly molten hot dog served by the establishment next door (BrewDog). I immediately felt at ease when entering the Fun Time Disco Campsite. The bedroom is a complete marvel and equips underfloor heating and a draft that blows upwards. It’s an ingenious idea that relaxed and sent me to sleep within minutes. It feels like a narcotic but without any danger of intravenous infection! Despite the injury sustained from the BrewDog, I was able to dance the night away in my bedroom like Ian Curtis mid-seizure. They provided some exceptional tunes which would’ve been deemed loud enough to be classified as noise pollution, but you’re in the hustle and bustle of Bristol, so what do you expect?! In the morning I woke up to a pint of grapefruit-infused IPA, a box of Richmond Original, and a can of lighter fluid beside my bed. I wondered whether Santa had come early. Or perhaps the business had employed their own kind of Fun Time Disco tooth fairy? The owner didn’t seem to know how they got there, but this didn’t diminish my experience! This is one of the best campsites I’ve ever stayed on and I’ll be sure to recommend this to friends. Cheers to Hot Wheels & the Fun Time Disco Campsite!
Delightful little spot that my wife and I came across while visiting town to see the new Gok Wan show at the hippodrome! Facilities were next to none and you could really tell the team were giving it their all to make sure we felt looked after. As we were leaving the owner gave us some amazing recommendations for some of his favourite massage parlours on Old Market Street, which were thoroughly enjoyed as a post-theatre treat! The only thing which sadly prevented Hot Wheels Urban Campsite from reaching that special five star spot was an unpleasant exchange involving the assistant manager of the neighbouring business (Brewdog). Stay away from that place!! Very rude.
A warm refuge on a cold Autumn day. Great range of interesting Polish lager. The heated bedroom is a revelation. Location is fantastic - right in the hustle and bustle of Bristol City Centre. Fantastic and attentive staff. Next beer turned up without me even having to ask for it. Banging tunes coming from the BrewDog bar next door too you can even have a little dance if you want. 10/10 will be back.
Didnt have the Hot Wheels himself when i visited, really left a bad taste as i thought that was the main attraction, camping spots comfortable but no entertainment…. Seems to be some blockade stopping any wheels coming through 3/5
Best experience of my life. Made so many memories with hot wheels, mad lad, would take him home to meet my parents. My mum would be proud.
Assistant manager hot wheels is a knob, big barry stocker sorted a refund Bit of joke but the crack was sublime
