My daughter suggested Hot Box, while I was visiting Indy. I live in a small town that has no less than 15 pizzerias within a 5 mile radius of my home. The Popeye's on thin crust was so amazing that I asked her to bring me one (a couple?) the next time she comes home! I wonder if there is any way it would survive the several hour trip... The thin crust is the thinnest and crispest I've ever had - utterly mindblowing! We also had a Heavy Veggie, which was incredible - tender crust, plenty of veggies and just the right amount of sauce. I highly recommend this pizza - wish we could have one here at home!

It was a dark Saturday night in Broadripple, and I wasn't familiar with where all the parking was located, but managed to find a spot in a lot fairly easily.

We have been ordering from hotbox pizza and have never had an issue until our most recent order. We received a half eaten pizza and called to find out what happened. The person I spoke to said they would send us a new order. The order was never delivered. I called the following day. I spoke to someone named Kevin who was very rude from the start of our conversation. He kept referring to me as “honey” though I asked him to please not call me that. He refused to help me with my issue. I asked to speak to his manager and he stated he was the manager. He would not give me his full name, and did not know the hours of the business he was supposedly “managing”. I’m am extremely disappointed with the customer service of this business. I am new to this area and have considered this a great pizza joint but would not recommend ordering anything from them considering they send out half eaten pies.

I love hot box pizza the food is always delicious and on time. But im really upset that now this is the second time when i order my food that my card gets charged twice! The first this happened my refund for second charge was back on their within an hour. This second time i had 2 charges of 40$ on my card so 80$ charge for pizza! They said the second charge should refund back to my card within a day, its now been two days and my money is still not back on my card. Im not the one to leave bad reviews but this just really upsetting. Deffintly when you call and express your frustration and noone seems to care at all. Now their telling me oh it can take up to 5 days to refund when he told me 1 day when it happened. Just an update, it took 10 DAYS to recieve my refund for the 2nd charge on my card!

I'm originally from Chicago, so this review will be biased. I sincerely miss the deep dish Chicago style pizza and I have not found a replacement for this pizza yet in Indy. After having tried several different options from local pizza esteries here, I have not found that deep dish cheesy pan pizza like you can get in Chicago, and hotbox is certainly NOT the exception. The staff was OK, the pizza was rather small for the price, and quite honestly the sauce tasted like the Dijourno pizza that you can buy from Kroger for a fraction of the price. I'm sure that other people will like this pizza, but for me, the price and taste were just NOT like Chicago pizza, keep searching my friends.

They have some of the sweetest kids working in there. To be so young, their customer service is impeccable. They even brought it to me from around the counter as I was standing there. So sweet and well mannered. The young melanated man came and told me how beautiful I was.....Made an ole lady blush a bit!!! Lol, But we had an Xtra large 3 meat pizza and it was Delicious, as well as a small cheese pizza for my daughter. It was very clean and didn't take long at all. We live way out in Cumberland but when I'm out in broadripple I will always be sure to stop here for good pizza with great customer service.

I have been coming here for years. Tonight I called at 11:30. They said they weren't taking any more pizza orders. I asked why. They stated that the delivery driver would not be back in time. I said I was going to be picking up. Bayside and then pretended like they had to ask if they could make it pizza. I picked up at 11:50. They were still making pizzas oddly enough. There was no customer service. No thank you give in. I was more or less treated as a inconvenience to their evening. The last several times my pizza has not been exactly to order or just hasn't tasted good. This is especially in contrast to their Avon location which has always been great. I will not be back

Would give less than one star if I could. Came here a couple years ago while at a concert over at the Vogue and it was great. Decided to come back tonight for a quick bite. There's no one else in the place, they tell us 10 minutes approximately, all gravy. 20 minutes later (we ordered at 9:03, my watch read 9:23) and I go up to counter to ask... our pizzas have been sitting there. No one else here. No other orders. 5 people standing behind the counter, one drinking from an open cup (hello health code violation!). Worst service I've ever gotten. Barely a sorry, no offer of anything to compensate. Won't be back.

HotBox is my absolute favorite pizza place in town! I’ve been eating here for years and the pizza is always fresh and made with love. On top of that, the staff there is wonderful— they are very generous and kind. I was in search of some cups for a classroom project I had in mind and their directors made time and effort to work with me on that. Not only do they care about providing good service regarding their food and environment, but they also are very active with the community around them. If you’re looking for good pizza and to support a business who cares about their city, HotBox is the place to be!

This place has horrible service. I had to call 2 times cause I kept getting put on hold for 10 minutes or longer. Finally once I got someone to answer the phone she put me on hold and I said I had been on hold for 25 minutes now the lady asked me if I'd call back in 10 minutes and hung up. So I waited again and called back and she asked my address and as soon as I said it she said they dont deliver there so I told her I've ordered and had pizza delivered here from this store many times before, and she tells me they changed their delivery zone and hung up. I'll never order from here again

We got the worst customer service today. An employee felt the need to put me on “hold” to get the manager only to realize she doesn’t know how to push the hold button. Never should I have to listen to an employee gooff about the customer . All We were calling for was to get an eta due to the weather after waiting 35 min from our original eta. This is our local hotbox and it’s really sad knowing we were a bother to get an eta on food we already paid for! Instead of telling the customer they need to be patient, maybe the employees should learn to be patient & considerate of others.

I'm giving a 5 star rating, despite the fact that they botched my order. I'm a big fan of Hot Box, and I ordered for delivery online, but on there end it showed up as a pick up. After a while I called to check on it and they told me the situation. Even though I ordered delivery, and they showed pickup, and the pizza was sitting and waiting for me, they refunded my money because of the error. Hot Box is good pizza, and because they worked with me on a technical error, rather than charge for a pizza I couldn't pick up, I'll definitely keep going back here. Kudos to you hot box.

They constantly forget my dressings and dipping sauces. I even put it in instructions. So you look past their inability to read and comprehend basic English. You speak to a manager about ot and his reasoning for it is they are understaffed. So understaffing is why my oder is incorrect hmm I am understaffed with my company but we don't make mistakes and complete the job incorrectly. Not being completed on time that would explain understaffing not doing the job incorrect.

Best breadsticks AND cheese dip you will ever eat. I have been eating Hot Box for years. I used to love the Carmel location, then moved to Westfield. I quit eating it because the one near me isn’t very good. However, I stopped in Broad Ripple to grab some stix. Wow!! They were perfectly soft and hot, with the best cheese. This place must be under new management, because last time I was here, it wasn’t this good. Can’t wait to come back!

Wish I could give this place less than one star. My boyfriend and I placed an order for delivery. An hour and a half rolls around and we still hadn’t received anything so we called to see where our dinner was. We were told that the guy who took our order was new and shouldn’t have taken our order since were too far away (I guess 3 miles is too far??). So they “just voided the order.” and weren’t planning on giving us a call. Inconsiderate, unprofessional and probably stoned out of their gorde.

Worst pizza in the area. I ordered a large. 2 topping. Both topping mushroom. I got 22 pieces of mushroom. Customer service was unenthusiastic. I greeted them 1st and got a mumbled reply from a person that couldn't bother to turn around. Pizza wasn't worth what I paid. Bread sticks were run of the mill boring and the cheese sauce apparently forgot what nacho cheese was supposed to taste like. You get better at a movie theater. All in all one of the worst experiences I've had here.

Service was nice and friendly but the breadsticks i ordered were hard as a rock. They had been made at t beginning of the day or many hours earliers. I placed a delay order so that i could get fresh food when i was able to pick up the food, and i was expecting fresh food but was sadly disappointed. Don’t waste your money, this is overpriced. Pizza was just okay and $65 for 2 pizzas. Tasted like over-priced PapaJohns, not my favorite. I have no problem paying $20+per pizza for excellent pizza and delivery fees. This was $65 for 2 and they forgot the 2 sauces per pizza I ordered and to rub it in, it wasn’t even good pizza. I understand it's Saturday night... But I should never be on hold for longer than 17 minutes to order "the deal." Let get this figured out. Ended up hanging up and calling Greeks and they answered after 2 rings. A little disappointed. Update: Management reached out immediately after posting review. Sent out a coupon and life is all better. Not a good experience out of the 50 times I have ordered, but still love the food.

As of late it has been our go to place. Our favorite crust flavor is the 'hippie'. They have a pie of the week which is nice. Different toppings every week and normally half off as well. Online ordering is always a smooth process for carryout.

I was cursed at and harrassed by Vogue employees while trying to park in back. They are very territorial over the free parking lot.

FYI- We tried to order pizza right at 3am tonight, a Friday night. Your employees told us that they were closed. Then took the orders of the people after us because the people complained. Eventually they took our order. We confirmed with them that they do in fact close at 4am. Please inform your employees that they need to allow orders an hour before close and probably at least 15 minutes before 4am.

Delivery is through doordash, which will be considerably later than what is said on the website. Doordash also doesn't have warming bags, so its not comparable to in-house delivery. I would have just ordered from doordash if thats how I wanted to spend my money. Who is getting the tip I paid on the website? An hour and forty minutes wait, and a canceled cc charge.

Hot Box's pizza is among my favorites for takeout. They have quite a few options and they are all prepared fairly well. They have a deal aptly named "The Deal" which includes a large 1-topping pizza, breadsticks, and 2 drinks. It is more than enough food to feed 2 people (in my opinion) and their ranch as a sauce for the breadsticks is outstanding.

Amazing service. DJ was very nice and patient with us. He was friendly and very helpful. Atmosphere was great. I really enjoyed my dinner there. I will definitely return!

I love coming to Hot Box so I can get a new cup for my ever-growing collection. Pizza and breadstick combo is the way to go. The two of us had the Hawaiian with some feta cheese added and finished it that night. Some of their specialty pies have some odd topping combinations, but don't be afraid to sub out what you do/don't like.

The first time I went the service was awful. I thought it could have been due to poor staffing opportunities from Covid so I gave them another chance. They gave me the wrong pizza, the pizza I did receive wasn't cut, and was leaking grease through the box. Could not possibly imagine ever recommending Hot Box to anyone I know.

My partner is about to post a photo on your site or social media... The Food is great... But people with their shorts under their butt is unacceptable... Board of health might just get notified of i see it again. Edit: also... Music is not kid friendly. Hearing the "n" word and multiple curse words... In the last minute...

I ordered the POTW. Apparently, you get what you pay for. I was told the pizza would be ready in 10 to 15 minutes I arrived in 10 minutes and I got a pizza that had been sitting on the shelf for some time. The crust was stale, scant toppings, et cetera. I don't mind waiting, please make me a fresh one next time!

The manager decide to have a manager meeting and yell at all of his “employees” during hours for not doing the correcting thing. Even though there was nothing wrong happening. The manager was totally out of line and yelled in front of paying customers. Very disrespectful to his employees he needs to be let go.

Nooo what happened to hotbox? I use to come here all the time and it was amazing. I moved away. Five years late I come back to visit and the service is horrible! The girl acted like we were a bother to her. I was trying to show my boyfriend some of my favorite places and hot box has fell so far off track!

First off, it is way overpriced for the low end of the pizza spectrum. Pizza was cold and lacked toppings. I would say it was half crust overall. Also got the cheese sticks but really had no cheese to them, mostly bread. Very disappointed in the lack of quality and quantity for the price.

Terrible customer service. Terrible delivery. Have ordered delivery three times and every time had major delays and people claiming "itll be there in 10 minutes" and still takes 30min+ on TOP of the time before. Do not order here. Their pizza is mediocre and their service is abysmal.

2.9 miles away and they will not deliver. I offered $20 tip to the driver and the manager still said No I called him an idiot for not doing what's right for his business and gaining a loyal customer, he said "F*** you too" and hung up on me. Can I give negative stars??

The pizza isn't the best. It's just okay. The customer service wasn't the greatest when we went. We were standing at the counter to pickup and weren't acknowledged for a few minutes (we were the only people there.) They did seem very busy so I guess its understandable.

The pizza was GREAT. The bread sticks are simply flavorless and not something I would order again. Service was great and the inside was clean however it was quiet humid and uncomfortable. Not a place to go if you simply want to beat the heat while grabbing a bite.

The flavors are unique, and the crust is awesome. The employees have always been kind to us. Whoever made our pizza today, when no doubt the workers had many orders to fill for pepperoni pizza day, *chef's kiss* you're incredible. Thanks for making our day …

They never skimp on toppings! Hotbox is definitely in my top three favorite pizza places. The staff at the Broad Ripple location are wonderful. The dining area and restrooms were clean and welcoming. My little ones love the tootsie rolls included in the box.

I mean it's HotBox in Broad Ripple... What is there to hate on? Nothing.

It was good but the largest pizza is only 16 in I was told that they had good pizza and I experienced it and it was good but I can honestly say this is something that I experienced that was good that I don't anticipate on doing it again it's expensive

I've visited this location multiple times. Tonight was the best. Some meth head was in charge of the register and was literally shooing people away with a 1 hour wait time. She was ready to get her fix. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Good pizza for those late night cravings. I love the drink cups that come in different colors throughout the year. If you collect enough cups, you may just win an annual contest the have to win some free stuff.

Stopped in to buy a slice of pizza. Was told the dont sell slices after 2pm.Um, what?? Bought a 10 inch instead and went to use bathroom. Mens room toilet was backed up and full of $hit to the top. Disgusting.

The cheese bread is the best. Sometimes the pizzas are a little undercooked in the middle but not always. The cheesy pizza and cheese sticks are worth the gamble on the doughy pizza. Hippie crust is fabulous.

This was my 1st time ordering from there. The pizza was much better than I expected. They stay open until 4AM which is great for me and late nighters as well. They even out candy in the box. I loved it.

Never Again. I spent $22 on a very Cold, literally cold pizza. I didn't mind the 1 hour wait time, but I'm disappointed in my product. I'll stick with getting freshly made & put it in my oven.

They told us our pizza would be ready in 20 minutes. After 30, they asked if they could substitute a topping because they were out. We waited over an hour in-store for a pizza. Blows donkey.
