Hotel bar was awesome today. I was greeted instantly with a loud welcome. Sat at the bar, had a Hotel Nacional, and tried the bartender Baileys’ favorite gimlet. Every drink was perfectly balanced. Up to par with Mandarin Heights. These are the only two cocktail bars I would ever frequent. Kaysaan recommended my dirty martini to be with Grey Goose instead of Tito’s. Best decision I’ve ever made. Chalk it up with green olives and I was taken aback. I will be back for every happy hour after being back in office, and for sure will be bringing my executives who are in town for a few days! It’s a must!

Came to Tampa and visited hotel bar and what an experience. The drinks were astounding. The atmosphere was grand. The craft that me and my friends seen while the bartender was making drinks was amazing. The taste exquisite. They know what they are doing. The vibe and customers were top notch. Our bartender Chris made sure we were quite taken care of. He explained a few liquors to us and we challenged him with what he could make on short notice to see if he could accommodate our wants and yes 10 out of 10. The experience all around was superb. This is my new home bar when i come to Tampa. Amazing.

Quaint and upscale decor that is perfect for casual conversation with friends over a drink or to impress a date. While we did not try the food, the bar tenders were very polite and conversational and made great drinks even if they were not on the menu. The menu consist of signature drinks from various famous hotel bars around the world with at least one drink that can satisfy any palette. Drinks prices may seem a little high at ~$12 but definitely worth it for the attention to detail and the craft of cocktail making. I will definitely come back here during my next trip to Tampa.

We arrived at the bar at 2:15 and ordered our drinks. As soon as we arrived, the bartenders were taking their time talking to customers and preparing our drinks. They served us our drinks at 2:35 and asked us to leave at 2:40. As a customer. Bartenders should inform us that they are closing. I don't drink fast and love to enjoy my drinks. I have also been to that place before, and they charged me twice for one drink because they forgot that I paid and served me another round I didn’t ask for. I don’t recommend this place.

Such an enjoyable experience. Came here for a happy hour, ordered nothing on the happy hour menu though, but very well priced. Fancy and yummy cocktails - the 4 of us (3 of my coworkers) enjoyed a variety of cocktails including old fashioned, wines, hotel nacional, sidecar, and a few more that I forget about. We were offered snacks too. Our server and bartender, TJ and Jason, were phenomenal, so attentive, and so fun. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

What would I GIVE to bring this bar back home with me! I feel like the luckiest for stumbling upon this place. The drinks were phenomenal, company was exceptional, one of the best atmospheres I have experienced, & I must say their pop-house music playlist was to die for. Mikey is a new bartender and absolutely KILLED IT! He was so fun and knowledgeable, someone made an amazing decision by making him a mixologist. I hope to visit again before I leave, but plan on telling everyone to visit if they are in Tampa!

Came here from Canada , TJ and Mikie were super great welcoming for being the first time here . Their knowledge in cocktails and whiskey was amazing compared to the area . Coming back again before heading back ! Enjoying the hotel nacional, a cocktail from a Cuban hotel & espresso martini . Horrible experience. Early Sunday evening last weekend - a few people in the bar. Bartenders couldn’t have been less friendly. Bartender was making a signature cocktail in front of me. The bottle slipped hit the bar and shattered. The bartender asked if I was okay and his concern was whether we were mad at him. We paid our bill and left. Did you hear me. He made us pay the bill. Congratulations. Two people who will never go to or recommend your bar again. ( I was fine, thanks for thinking )

Hotel Bar is one of my favorite bars in all of Tampa. The atmosphere, the music, and the drinks are all sublime. I have never had a better old fashioned than I have here. Bailey and Kay are some of the most charming bartenders I’ve ever met, and I work in the service industry too so that’s saying a lot. I love coming here as the last stop before everything closes and I head home. I always feel welcome here, no matter how busy they are, the bartenders always greet me with care and attention.

A lot of reviews seem to say to come here for a night cap. But ignore this advice. Tell your boss you have a dentist appointment and come here at 4pm before the happy hour rush starts. Duck over in the middle of dinner with your in-laws. Or end your night here. It’s a great place at any of these times. I suppose you could just hang out at the Hilton bar across the street, but unless you’re meeting your mistress and have to be home by 8 then this seems the better choice.

Absolutely fantastic cocktails and probably the best bartenders in Tampa. They have a great menu but you can also get suggestions just based on what you are in the mood for. In fact I said I was in the mood for something Smokey, preferably with an Islay Scotch and my bartender disappeared for a minute and came back with an unnamed drink that hit the spot perfectly. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the on menu items and food.

Went here for a ladies night, we had Mikey as our bartender and it was an amazing experience. Greeted us with waters immediately upon sitting. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to drink so I asked him to make me something good, with tequila (yes I was that person).. needless to say he made me a delicious drink, I got 4 more… Definitely recommend going and seeing Mikey if you’re looking to get fast, efficient service and yummy drinks.

A disappointing cocktail experience. I was highly anticipating this menu as the inspiration is very creative - using cocktails from hotels all over the world. However the mixology failed - I assume from all of the great reviews I must have gone on an off night. None the less I would not go back and I had to change my plans with my out of town guest to leave this poorly mixed cocktail bar - after 2 drinks - we really tried.

My friend and I were referred to this bar from another bartender elsewhere and it did not disappoint. This bar has great music and is open late on the daily. Mikey and TJ are extremely knowledgeable and took great care of us every night with great sass and humour, such a hardworking crew at this cocktail lounge! Best drinks in town! If you’re looking for Tampa’s best mixologist this is your place! It’s a very cute and romantic bar. I’ve been there twice now and will return every chance I get. I went once a Sunday night and it was not very busy which we enjoyed. We went back in a Friday night and it wasn’t packed but it was a little busy. The drinks were amazing and the bartender recommendations were on point.

Bartenders were professional and amazing. Cocktails were perfectly curated. I came to Tampa for business and ended up buying a ticket for a friends giving event that Kay sold me on. Bailey and Kay were both attentive and creative. One of the best cocktail experiences I’ve ever had and I can’t wait to fly back into town on the 21st.

Came in to hotel bar for the first time today. Such a great ambiance the decor is amazing. Staff is very friendly. Drinks are amazing. I came in and asked the bartender chris if he can make an off menu drink and he gave me this gin gem. I recommend anyone to come in and asked the bartenders to make anything. Kay was amazing. He was so fast and attentive that I didn’t even see my drink being made. This bar is so focused on customers and service that is astonished me. If you have a preference this boss will accommodate everything you need. What a great place and a great bartender.

Great for a business lunch in, a date night, or a girls night out Anja (pronounced An-Yah) is literally the best!!! Went out for a girls night after work for a MUCH NEEDED drink and decided that Hotel Bar was UP on my must revisit list in downtown tampa. Her, the drinks, the bartender shaking the beverages… everything you can ask for. Loved it all!

Have been a patron many times and have always enjoyed the fantastic cocktails and service but Mother’s Day takes the cake. My mother and sister are not very experienced drinkers and Kaysaan made them beautiful cocktails that were just what they asked for. They were blown away by his knowledge and hospitable demeanor. 10/10 would come back!

One of Downtown Tampa’s hidden gems, a true oasis from the chaos of the streets outside. Drinks are craftily made, and reasonably priced. With the right arrival time you’ll have plenty of sitting options. Chris served us and went above and beyond with his attentive service. A place I am proud to bring friends from out of town too enjoy.

I patiently waited for 15 minutes for the bartender to craft my first cocktail. However, due to the bartender's poor service, I decided to close my tab and leave, which meant waiting an additional 20 minutes before I could order a second cocktail. I WILL NOT RETURN!

Came into Tampa for a hockey game looking to drink as much local beer as possible and eat some alligator.. The bartender gave us all the best local breweries and the best spots to eat some cold blooded reptile. Gnarly. They had a really good menu here as well, ate a Wagyu Beef Carpaccio that was tasty. Solid whiskey selection too.

Went in on a Friday night, arrived at the perfect time to snag some seats at the bar! I have recently started to try different classic cocktail and other concoctions, so I decided to order the obscure Paper Plane. The bar tender said "Oh paper plane, I got you." My husband and I stopped here after walking the Tampa Riverwalk. I had the Queen's Park Swizzle which was really great. I forgot to take a picture until it was half gone because it's a really pretty drink as well. We also ordered a cheese plate that was quite good. The bar is beautiful and the ambience was nice.

A GREAT bar in downtown Tampa where they make craft cocktails from famous hotels around the world. Wife had a Sazarac from the Monteleon in New Orleans and then a Brooklyn from the Plaza. I had a Tequila on the rocks from their wide selection (Altos and Ochos Rios)

If your looking for an old school watering hole and deliciously unique craft cocktails this is your place. I requested the bar tender to make me something sweet / fruity and with a kick and he delivered! Have been here a few times and always a great experience.

Mikey makes a great tequila old fashioned! Really cool bar with a great vibe and awesome staff. It’s definitely a ~cool~ kid spot if you’re in Tampa and want to hang like one of the locals.

The neon on the outside looks normal. Maybe even a bit retro to older times. The small spot inside is dimly lit with a red hue. The cocktails were good. The amount of base alcohol was good. They weren't watered down. A very neat and relaxed experience.

Kayson and Bailey were great bartenders and I genuinely come back just for them!!! Definitely will be coming back just for the service and how good the cocktails are!
