"Hulme High Street - The array of continental, Asian, European,Caribbean and African shops is great, there's an Asda brill, Argos, B&Ms etc but why oh why did they recently turn it into a one way and to make it even worse there is no parking on Hulme High Street! Okay when I got over the shock I figured all is not lost there is a huge Asda car park adjacent and if your hungry from that 5 minute hike from the high Street to the car park, you can take rest at one of the many fine eateries"
"Good shops, and plenty of parking"
"Although give it 5* that's only because I don't have a problem with what it there at the moment, asda, usually well stocked in a morning sometimes empty shelves but seems to be getting better"
"I live opposite Hulme High Street Retail Park"
"Hulme Retail Park is a full package of goods, services and aesthetics splendor"
Hulme High Street - The array of continental, Asian, European,Caribbean and African shops is great, there's an Asda brill, Argos, B&Ms etc but why oh why did they recently turn it into a one way and to make it even worse there is no parking on Hulme High Street! Okay when I got over the shock I figured all is not lost there is a huge Asda car park adjacent and if your hungry from that 5 minute hike from the high Street to the car park, you can take rest at one of the many fine eateries....kfc, nandos, mac d's and some local small trader offerings which I would recommend. But I have to say I think I'm still in shock...one way system and no parking...I'm going to try and recover my shock by eating this pattie that I bought from living natural.
Good shops, and plenty of parking. I choose the times I go carefully... As with other areas in Manchester, at certain times the traffic is heavy and queues can be very long and slow moving. My own personal taste? I prefer going to the smaller shops and the market. But the large stores are all there for the " big shop ", although Asda is a little too big for me.. You need to have a spare hour or two in order to peruse the extent of every aisle! The " One way " system along the actual High Street is a bit much, but once you get there you are better off parking up and then walking.. It's worth the trip.
Although give it 5* that's only because I don't have a problem with what it there at the moment, asda, usually well stocked in a morning sometimes empty shelves but seems to be getting better. In asda is McDonald's. Chemist in asda too. KFC across car park. Massive B&M and some small local shops to the right of the car park. This is also where hulme market is supposed to be since B&M merged its smaller shops into one at the loss of argos and the market was supposed to be reopening but atm it is still an empty property.
I live opposite Hulme High Street Retail Park. It highly convenient for me. It has stores that supplies everything i need. ASDA, Poundstretcher, and ofcourse an Argos. There is even a postbox in the ASDA entrance and a pharmacist. Also a McDonalds and a large KFC. Plenty of parking space for cars. It can really do with more bicycle hoops. I sometimes find it hard to find a spot to chain up my bike when all the existing hoops are used up. A great place for shopping.
Hulme Retail Park is a full package of goods, services and aesthetics splendor. Many shops are located around it giving shoppers options and leverage. Not forgetting African shops around with Asian blend. Groceries are in quantum for beverage lovers. Fresh fruits, nuts, meat of different forms and soup condiments. The location has very large parking lots for easy drop off and pick ups. Telephone booth free call for taxi booking Hulme Retail Park is well organised.
I've lived here quite sometime now overall great place to shop however it's a great shame argos closed it was a great place to purchase home furnishings etc as Hulme has become a popular place to live with née city living I & espically the Birley Student village Students would bring some spending I think argos may regret that move b&m are taking over but its not thar good for home furnishings all build yourself just the b&m provisions is bargain .
Don't feel very safe here - lots of people begging outside the stores and approaching customers. Parking system doesn't seem well thought out re: the KFC drive thru as you can get stuck in queues when you're not going there. Review update in 2022 - area only seems to have gotten worse. The Asda isn't well stocked, hardly any trolleys, heavy security presence inside the store but not out. Would be reluctant to go when it's dark.
At the end of the day it is a retail park with all the usual suspects. I would give it a five star of it was not for the very large bushes at every junction making it extremely difficult to see if there is a car coming. Given that accidents in private areas are treated as knock for knock, I just wish the designers had actually thought of the implications of having such large bushes in the most inappropriate of areas...
Looking a little rundown recently. Nice but very expensive traditional Engine chippy - closes quite early sadly (8pm at the latest). Only one store worth visiting for, B&M, which has enlarged quite a bit recently. We never use the ASDA here anymore since it changed ownership and prices became ridiculous (for ASDA that is…). So to sum up, decent but expensive chippy and massive B&M - otherwise not worth the visit.
Nice place. Maintained very well in terms of hygiene. Sadly hated the awful parking experience here. People just don't care about others and without any conscience, they move their cars from sideways to the exit. Would never recommend coming here by car on a busy day. Shopping options here are amazing. Loved the seafood take away shop. Felt like most of the staff are not helpful.
Very busy carpark but you have 3 hrs free parking to do all your shopping at various stores which includes an Asda Supermarket, Argos, B&M discount store, among others a brief walk along Hulme High St There is also a KFC (Eat-In / Drive-Thru) and McDonald's inside Asda supermarket, as well as Asda Petrol Station
It has helpful shops and great stopping and a lot of was to get to. However, my god it's hopeless. Come here on a moist dark January day, pepper the spot with a couple crackheads and it can truly remove the cheer from your day, that not so much as a new and full useful pot from Argos can reestablish.
Its manic getting in and getting out. There is an ASDA., mcdonalds, argos, poundstretcher, small bnm and a KFC. Crowding is not much of an issue as it is a busy place it is drivers not caring of safety and right of way. Too many aggressive people asking for change. Needs a bit of TLC …
Plenty of space for parking.I liked especially B&M with furniture inside.Found a coffee table for 6pounds.ASDA has a variety of food, the only negative thing are toilets that had never deep clean ..floor around it..etc.The road leading around Loreto college(to the left)gets very busy at 4pm.
Spacious, parking is free and there's many shops & fast food joints around including Asda, B&M, B&M Home, McDonalds, KFC and there's also local shops just around the corner from the park. There used to be an Argos here but unfortunately it has been closed & replaced by B&M Home.
I went there to buy some kids game stuffs and Halloween stuffs. It’s easy to shop in there cause if not in ASDA you will get in B&M store . So , you don’t have to go home without the thing you wished to shop . I bought a George jacket and it is good .
This area is one I gre up in. Although I don't live there now I still still love to shop for all my West Indian foods. There is pretty much everything I need down Hulme High street. Including loads of friends I don't otherwise get chance to meet.
there is something about walking to a store that most people drive to that makes you feel so small and makes you really hate car-dependent infrastructure. i think i had an out of body experience at this asda as it truly was just another walmart.
I didn't know this place excisted until I went for a hospital appointment. My all time favourite was the absolutely huge Asda. So much choice food wise . The homewares and George section were fabulous, with plenty of choice and so many bargains.
Ideally located for any bits and bobs I need around my main weekly shop as itbis on my way home from work. The Asda has a large selection and the McDonalds and KFC are great for nights when I can't be bothered making dinner after a long day.
Handy place with Asda superstore a large B and M store and all the local shops near by including a quality health shop, fruit and veg shop that does amazing plantains and white flesh sweet potatoes that are sometimes hard to find.
Good business park with lots on it great for a day out in manchester, Asda's is a little dear, prices are higher then I had ever imagined, but B&M is always good value and Kentucky chicken is a fair price that fills you up.
Asda Staff are Most Splendid ❤ BnM Staff Barr probably 2 ❤ That's both store's Are Rude and unhelpful. A couple of times I've helped Elders who Staff either ignored Or couldn't be bothered with Not The One ❤ …
Easily accessible via walking and public transport. The driving entrance to the Asda carpark is slightly obscure, but once accessed, the carpark is huge. There's a large B&M, Asda, and some decent fast food restaurants
Asda. Why are the prices in this store dearer than the other stores. Thought that prices in Asda's were meant to be the same across the board. There can be quite a difference between this store and other local stores.
As a shopping centre, it’s good. Free parking, big Asda, big B&M and a FarmFoods, so your groceries and household needs will be met. Very busy of course and towards 6.00 pm, there’s not much fresh produce left at Asda
Love this place. Good place ro stop. Shop. And pick up things. Has Asda, McDonalds, KFC, B&M and an Argos. For a quick stop and shop what more could you ask for. And FREE parking. And a small little market too. Xxx
I love ❤️ going to Asda because it’s a 5-15 minute walk from my house. The brands on the shelves are mix of cheap and not so cheap prices but one thing I do like about Asda is that they have McDonald’s section too.
The parking is an issue. If you need to come back within 2 hours because you forgot to purchase something, you're going to receive a hefty parking fine. Because of this, I avoid shopping here as much as I used to.
Halal KFC, asda, B&M Bargains and the house of few other local shops, this place is almost always busy. Even though this place has a big parking pace, it becomes hard to find parking especially on weekends.
It had good parking and seemingly limited options, an ASDA, a B&M, a KFC and more or less that is it. There is a McDonald and a few small food shops inside ASDA too. Not a place to enjoy window shopping .
It’s busy. Park in Asda carpark. It’s a good place to shop. There’s a butchers shop that also sells fish. There’s the leisure centre & 2 shops that sell hair skin and nail products & accessories.
5⭐️. Good location, the store is massive, the car park is spacious enough and staff is very helpful. Also McDonald’s is located inside the ASDA itself and there is KFC just cross the car park
I always end up with parking tickets for multiple visits but then I get them cancelled for double dip. Camara there not working well so you have to appeal so far I had 4 tickets cancelled
Previously, the center was more appealing with Poundstretcher, but currently, the prominent businesses are B&M, ASDA, and KFC. Also there is a compact McDonald's located inside ASDA.
Nice little complex here. I'm obsessed with the B&M Furniture some lovely modern, trendy, very reasonable furniture. Purchased a coffee table and 2 units for my new home. …
Use to be perfect place for shopping Asda, Argos and few other outlets but now Argos have closed down. Other than that it's good place to stop by for your day to day shipping
Plenty of parking spaces, amazing shops to visit food markets, asda store, hair and beauty stores, african/ Caribbean / Indian, and many more food/ stores plus clothing too.
It's worth the drive as this retail park is well served by a good diverse range of shops, including a large Asda and one of the few remaining stand-alone Argos stores.
Very good place to shop and to eat if you like macdonals, KFC ETC. Useful for all university students and it is in walking distance. I like it I would recommend …
The Asda is huge and has a lot of variety. Upstairs is a department store. The staff are very helpful and will check stock if it's not immediately visible on the shelf
Love Asda but very busy when I shopped one Monday evening. Asked staff about product. Chorizo but staff unhelpful rushing to entrance area seen chatting to other
Asda store with a McDonald’s inside, in the car park is a KFC, Other stores B&M, Make Well west African, and a selection of other local stores. Post 11/08/23
I like it because there is always parking available and a lot of shops nearby to do your weekly shopping with an accessible mcdonalds and kfc also nearby.
It's a shame that there's no Argos here anymore. KFC building is gradually decaying (ps- let's not talk about the chicken they sell there!)
Houses a big Asda, B&M and a KFC plus some smaller independent stalls. Bit of a pain getting in and out of otherwise it would be 5 stars.
Asda, b&m and fish market is the main attraction for me tbh but there are a lot other shops and restaurants are available there
I love shopping here. Plenty of parking. Most home essentials can be bought from this estate. Will definitely recommend …
It's a very standard, small retail park. It's very limited, KFC, B&M Bargains, Asda and a small McDonald's inside the Asda.
It's an amazing place for groceries and other limited shopping. They got good variety and nice stuff in clothes.
A lovely place has Asda, KFC, Farmfood, McDonald, and African market beside, a gym and a library.
You have access to several shopping centers and fast food here; ASDA, B&M, McDonald's, KFC, etc.
Nice place to visit. Car parking was never an issue. You can get most of your needs from there.
Easy access from public transport. Good place for shopping. Parking, toilets, cash machines.
Parking is real good and one stop to shop Went for my ramadan preparations had a great time
If you love diversity come here Different cultures doing their daily routine in harmony
Buy cheapest food in asda and fish market excellent staff are kind and polite.
Car centered, not easy by foot. Large supermarkets and discount chain stores
Sad state of Britain. You run a gauntlet of unfortunate souls seeking cash.
It is a good place for shopping and good fast foods like kfc and mc donalda
ASDA is the top of the list as you will find whatever you are looking for.
Always busy but go at quiet times. Like this place full of rich diversity
It was amazing, I got lovely cone ice cream there for my kids …
Great place with nice brands and nice parking space …
Great retail park will be better if more brands open up.
