Placed an order to this location on 5/6/23 through UberEats for 2 large Deluxe Subs, and breadsticks. They got part of my order w!!!rong (seems they gave us someone else’s sub) we received 1 Deluxe Sub and some sort of Philly cheesesteak sub stuffed with tons of mushrooms). Called that very same night and the manager that worked asked for my email and assured me he placed something on my email for the next time i placed an ordered i could get my sub replaced. Ok cool. No problems. Fast fwd to today 6/14/23 around 9:20p i got to place my order over the phone, they bring the manager (a different person this time) to the phone as they stated the manager is the only person that can place the order. Immediately when he answers the line, HE RUDE !! Doesn’t even say hello ! Just smuggly comes on and says “what’s your phone number?!” After checking my phone number although i told him the last manager didn’t ask for my phone number, the last manager asked for my email! After not seeing anything under my number he finally asks for my email. I provide it and he tells me no one has any recollection of my issue from 5/6/23 and there’s nothing in their system. He proceeds to be rude and actually starts trying argue with me as if that’s something i really needed to lie about as if i wasn’t gonna be spending money anyways because the comp sub wasn’t all i was gonna be ordering !!! After going back and forth and him constantly trying to over talk me i finally just hung up on him ! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE

Terrible customer service. Wouldn't rate them any stars but wanted this to be seen. So apparently this store's menu items have different toppings than the other Hungry Howies. An employee that claimed to be the manager said their store is different. If this was truly a manager, she has a lot to learn about business, respect and customer service. She was extremely rude, disrespectful and unprofessiinal. We ordered a Howie Maui pizza which is suppose to be ham, bacon and pineapple but came with pepperoni. They said bacon at their store is a premium item and not their version of a Howie Maui and refused to fix our order. I explained if it different then why don't they advise of the difference when the order is placed? Wouldn't answer that question. Nothing resolved. Never again!!!!

Worst service I have come across in a very long time. I ordered and when I received my order the pizza was missing exactly half of the cheese. I call the store and the employee that answers named Alex refuses to give me corporates or private owners email address so I can send over the pictures of my food. He hangs up on my face when I call back he said the phone hung on me not him. Then continues to tell me that if I want him to remake me the pizza that I have to take him the pizza back right now. I asked the managers name and he would not say. Last time we ordered from here they gave away our food to another customer that ordered after us and made us wait till they remade ours. The same guy (Alex). Never again!

Order never delivered. After 3 calls on hold for 10 min that were disconnected, 2 calls to CS, all to the "special number" that was also disconnected. I finally reached "MGR" XIO who 1st stated it was delivered, then he couldn't refund because I paid cash (paid online- only option for delivery), then stated bank denied charge (NOT!), then could not find by last 4 dig of card but miraculously found with 1st 4 digits. Finally offering to remake the pizza but it was going to be another 2 hours! He reluctantly offered a refund but couldn't void the transaction.

I use to like hungry howies until it seems they changed owners and ingredients. I just ordered a vegetarian pizza with garlic herb crust for me and my lady and it was Disgusting. The sauce taste like cheap spaghetti sauce from the dollar store marked down and it had no taste what so ever. I use to love there pizza but the store on east Hillsborough across from erwin tech do not eat there. Now me and my lady have to find another pizza place at 10 pm after a hard days work. Not to mention we had to go pick this garbage up because they claim it would be over an hour before we would get our food.

Absolutely horrible service Friday night June 16th. I called in & placed my order at 9pm at 10pm I called back was told it was on the way. At 10:20 I called back to find out why I had not gottten my order I I was told they spoke to the driver & it was 5 or 10 min away and for me to go out side and wait the restaurant closes at 10:30 never got my order. Called back to speak to a manager the next day and was hung up on 3 times. Would love to speak to the owner

This place is awful. I have specifically ordered items and don't receive them. They charge for menial items like sub sauce and don't put them in delivery orders. When one calls the store to seek some sort of redemption, the employees have to ask the owner to refund a 20 cent sub sauce. FYI owner... the refund means nothing for 20 cents. It's the principle!!! Get your store together. I would rather drive to Armenia than order delivery from this store again. Stay away!!!! Ohhh and last thing. The food took twice as long on a down night to arrive. It was also cold! Shameful!

The pizza has always been good but the customer service has gotten really poor. Last Saturday, my family was helping my sister move. We called after 50 minutes and the person who answered said that the pizzas were just coming out of the oven and then said something else, when I asked her to repeat herself she said they came out and hung up on me. The pizzas didn't come for another 40 minutes just as my sister was attempting to call to cancel. I felt bad for the awkward situation for the delivery driver but 1 1/2 hrs for delivery that was like 5 minutes away was too much.

Stop doing this. Why offer no-contact delivery at checkout and then ask to see the credit card when the driver arrives? I called corporate to discuss this because you're endangering drivers and customers. Sadly, no one ever responded to my inquiry. The driver I spoke to told me that if she doesn't see the credit card then her check will be docked for the amount of the order. I then spoke to a store manager who said it's corporate policy to check credit cards regardless of what your website is offering. Pizza is good, hot, and arrives fast but this is irresponsible.

Visited the Hungry Howies located at 2001 E Hillsborough Ave, Tampa, FL 33610. Not impressed. Ordered from here several times and it's never as good as other locations. Our "flavored crust" has never been right, it's either the wrong flavor or there's none at all. We ask for extra butter on one pizza and lite on another, they look & taste exactly the same. Our Howie Bread is always flat in the middle, like a cracker. If you do plan on ordering from this location, get it delivered. Trust me, getting in and getting out of the parking lot is insane.

I went to this store last month and i placed my order. waiting time was 25 minutes when the 25 minutes finally past I ask for my order this employ name Alex had gave my order to someone else so I had to wait 25 minutes extra and not even a sorry then today I went and half of my pizza was missing cheese and guess who it was the same employee aging alex and not even mentioning that he was rude to my pregnant wife on the phone because she told hem that half of the pizza was missing cheese and hung up wild she was tallking. I liked the front desk service. However, my concern is why does that person have to make the salads after dealing with money, which is loaded with germs and bacteria. I asked about handwashing before handling food. I was told it was done, but was not sure, because I didn't hear water run or couldn't see over the counter. I enjoy most of the food from there. I am just concerned about hygiene habits before handling food. My resistant is low and I must be careful about food handling practice of restaurants I visit.

Got a phone call saying outside of delivery range, Gonna go ahead chalk it up to racism due to it being a lower income area. Also reporting to cooperate due to me just ordering on the website and it being the closest. Wouldn't hire the female who called me either as she attempted to berate me for not ordering from the one closer to me and is refusing to deliver even though it said it was the closest.

Don't bother ordering salads from this place if you're going to ask for extra meat. You'll still pay for the extra and they will argue that they put it in there even though you can clearly see its a normal portion. I've offered salads from this company for years now and this is the worst service I've seen in a long time! Too busy to care. As you can see, this is what they are claiming is a double portion. Don't waste you money! What's off to the side is croutons not chicken.

I go to school across the street from them. Have gone over several times when they are suppose to be open and they say they are closed. Apparently they can't handle getting their delivery and open at the same time. Someone else in my class went 20 minutes later and got service. So not really sure what the problem is. I was there at 10:35 and they're sign says open at 10:30. Not the first time it's happened either. I will never go to them again.

Prices increased due to New Owner. Same pizza as with old owner, only $2 more. Plus no to go menus or complimentary parmesan cheeses. I'd say the New Owner is greedier than the last owner , and has the place headed in the wrong direction . Too Bad !

Terrible customer service on a delivery of over $45. After 2 hours of waiting on our delivery, I was told there is no discount on food. The ETA we were given was of 45min-1hr 15 min tops. Bad business to have us expecting a warm meal in these hard times and then have no consideration as to discount for the Terri le an along wait. To reciprocate I cancelled the order and will never order from the franchise ever again.

Hospitality, customer service and professionalism is non existing at this location. Leadership starts from the top and Danielle the General Manager is rude and has NO idea how customers should be talked to when addressing the problem.Owners of this franchise have not reach out to me about this situation. If google would allow me to give zero stars this store would have receive that rating.

Lowkey some of the best pizza I eat sometimes. Usual wait time is 70-80 minutes, even for one medium pizza though, delivery is quick when they get done with the pizza, the pizzas are always hot and fresh, and the delivery drivers are nice. The pizza is bomb as Pepperoni's though, every pizza I order from them is always mouth watering. They're lowkey one of the best pizza places.

I placed an order for a pizza with butter cheese and had none...I turn around drove back and the young guy who messed up my order takes the pizza to the back.. and brings me back a wet soggy pizza?my??wet sauce running all over the pizza..I have NEVER had a wet dripping pizza..just give me money..cause you messed up and refused to make what I asked for? Never going there again!

I always come here when I want pizza and tonight I ordered the stuff Howie bread, it was undercooked. I told the MGR about it and they went beyond the call of duty to make it right for me. They re made the bread and it is DELISH, they even offered me a free item for the inconvenience. They get the best customer service award for taking care of me.

Thumbs up to the Delivery driver, but the customer service is atrocious. Waited an hour for my delivery(but the driver was super cool) and all I called to see was where he was and the guy hung up on me. I wasn't rude or nasty at all, and the manager wouldn't even talk to me, but it's all good. This was my first and last order from this location.

This location does not do contactless delivery if you pay with the credit card they want to see the credit card so it's defeating the whole entire purpose of no contact delivery. Alice the manager said that that's the way it runs and that the owner wants it that way Well not they not delivering all the food you order then don't answer the phone.

It’s pretty good. The location can be difficult to access and I do wish it opened at least an hour earlier than what it currently does but otherwise, the pizza’s pretty good. The pricing’s decent if you’re planning on buying a small or medium size pizza. If you want a good pizza, stop by at this Hungry Howie’s then.

Love this location. Not usually a Hungry Howies person but these guys do their Subs right. Food is so good and theyre always SO NICE on the phone and in store. Parking sucks BUT ......They stayed open after Irma to supply yummy food to the neighborhood in need. Love you guys so much. Youve made me a loyal customer.

Hungry Howie's has really picked up as one of the more popular restaurants to go get pizza and small TV food like I used to call it it's such a popular place the lines are a little longer but the food is always good the service is always good and helpful and you don't mind a little weight for a better product

It was very poor I had to wait a hour and a half after placing my order for pickup this place is so disorganized and the employees do not care I ask for my money back and they refused to give it to me then they finally gave it to me and it has been sitting in a holding cart for over an hour and it was cold

I've been waiting 20 minutes for a mobile order to deliver that only "5 minutes." Watched as they told a customer that they had to "remake her order because they put it in the oven but it never came out." Appearently there's a black hole in their oven that passes disapear into.

Honestly I began to wonder if this pizza I ordered had been someone's canceled order because it arrived surprisingly fast. The delivery driver even called as he approached the area. So I had time to have payment in hand,and the driver was polite. The pizza was so fresh btw.

Need to work on customer service. I gave my order and was sent to another register to pay. When I got to the register the guy took the lady payment behind me then he took mine. I did not like being skipped / ignored I will not be back to this location.

This place is disappointing and it’s full of roaches and when I ordered my food a person was smoking a cigarette and the change they give back is dirty and the refrigerator doesn’t even get cold and they don’t even have pizza they sale Cuban sandwiches

I was forced to give 1 star. Order not delivered, 7 calls, then they tried to say it was delivered. Then the "Mgr" said paid in cash SO I CAN'T REFUND IT! After searching with my card, WHICH THEY FOUND, 5-7 business days to wait for a refund.

We recently moved into the area and this has become our favorite pizza place to order from. We have ordered several times for pickup and deliver and had excellent customer service and food! Everyone is always really nice when I go in to pay.

I have been going to Hungry Howie's for about 35 years and I would have to say this is the best one I have ever been to. Perfect amount of sauce, perfect amount of cheese, and perfect amount of seasoning on crust. Keep up the good work.

Perfer howies over any other pizza place. They are the only ones that still keep it original . Even though well done means hard bottom crust but it was still good . Fast. I assume friendly.. Didn't interact with the cashier much.

Store is only 3.3 miles from me and would not deliver. Person rudely says we don't go anywhere near their. So not impressed since I Work for a pizza place that I just don't feel like driving to.
