I booked 2 rooms for my elderly parents and their friend to come and visit me in London from France. Gilly's BnB is perfectly located, near buses and a tube station ( not to mention a 5mn drive from my house ). My priority was to find a very typically British home , quiet, comfortable . The rooms are very clean and extremely tasteful, there is a great attention to detail ( lovely toiletries, lots of towels, bed prepared every night, shades drawn etc ). The breakfast is amazing, plentiful and very varied and Gilly is a very pleasant host, attentive to her guests, making conversation and advising on places to visit. Even for french people well accustomed to London, Gilly's home is a beautiful typical place to stay and they had a wonderful time. I would say that guests with mobility problems have to be aware of narrow stairs but this is to be expected in a victorian house and the photos and descriptions on the website are self explanatory as to the layout of the house. The top bedroom has a full bath with shower head ( no standing shower ) but Gilly kindly explained on the phone that the single bedroom had a shower cubicle which could be shared as all 3 guests were family or friends, so all was as expected and not an issue. Perfect for people looking for a quiet refined experience. Thank you again.

Perfect Example of a Great B&B: Staying with Gilly at the Hurlingham Bed and Breakfast was one of the highlights of my time in London. I reached out to Gilly ahead of my stay to make sure I would be okay to check-in early as I needed to head right to work; she was very responsive and assured me that it would be fine. Sure enough, she not only let me drop off my things when I got in but provided me with breakfast, which was so appreciated. Her breakfasts every morning were always fresh, delicious, and VERY filling. I was never left hungry. My room was perfect. The bed was incredibly comfortable, water hot, and internet fast. The decor was beautiful and I was always made to feel looked after and right at home. Gilly had wonderful recommendations for places and restaurants to visit. My favorite dinner the entire time I was in London was a local Italian place she directed me to. I would be remiss to not mention the location as it was a five minute (max) walk to the Putney Bridge tube station and an easy ride on the District line into central London. The area is very nice and even walking home from the station late at night as a female alone, I never was worried about my safety. Hurlingham Bed and Breakfast checked every box for me and I would not hesitate to stay there again next time I am in London.

After staying at another B&B in Chelsea for many years, this time, due to external circumstances, we had to find a new solution; fortunately, we were lucky enough to stumble upon Gilly’s house during one of our internet searches. After the wonderful time we had during our stay in mid-November, we can safely say that we have found our new accommodation of choice for our trips to London. Being only a 5 minute walk from the Putney Bridge tube station and connected to the main tourist areas by 3 bus lines, the location in extremely convenient. The house is lovely and well-kept: the rooms are tastefully decorated in perfect British style and the kitchen, where our hostess serves delicious and hearty breakfasts, is cosy and homely. Mrs. Gilly is friendly, easy to talk to and always ready to satisfy any wish one may have, as well as recommend the best restaurants and places to visit.

Dieses wunderbare B&B sieht in der Realität genauso schön aus, wie auf den Fotos. Ich war 4 Nächte dort und bin immer noch ganz begeistert. Gilly ist eine ausgezeichnete Gastgebeberin und ihr Frühstück ist EINZIGARTIG! Ich habe noch in keinem Hotel so reichhaltig und lecker gefrühstückt. Die nächste U-Bahn Station ist fußläufig in 3 Min. erreichbar. Dieses B&B ist jeden Penny wert! Immer wieder gerne! This wonderful B & B looks just as beautiful in reality as in the photos. I stayed 4 nights and am still very excited. Gilly is an excellent and very kind host and her breakfast is UNIQUE! I have not had such a rich and delicious breakfast in any hotel I was before. The next metro station is within walking distance in 3 minutes. This B & B is worth every penny! I hope to find a room there also in my next stay at London!

Hurlingham Bed & Breakfast made my trip to London very enjoyable. I personally really like its neoclassical decor. The hostess is very warm and professional. The room was clean, the bed was soft and comfortable. The orientation of the room is also quiet. The breakfast was fantastic. The hostess prepares a hearty breakfast according to each guest's preferences. At the same time, the hostess recommended different travel itineraries for us in London, which was very helpful. I especially want to thank the hostess for helping me before I left. I don't know why, but I couldn't get a Uber or taxi at the time. With the help of the hostess, I was able to get one and catch the train in time. I'm happy to stay here again when I'm in London next time.

I stayed with Gilly for a couple of nights while visiting my daughter in Fulham. Gilly was very welcoming and helpful with directions to her house, restaurants in the local vicinity and suggestions of places to visit. I was in the single room which was very comfortable and had a lovely en-suite. When I got back in the evening my bed had been turned down ready for me and a jug of filtered water was on my bedside table - all lovely touches. Gilly cooked me a fantastic breakfast both mornings (even though I had to leave fairly early on the Sunday morning) Would I recommend staying here? Yes 100% - thank you Gilly for making my visit so enjoyable.

Beautiful place to stay. We stayed for the weekend with our daughter, the location is perfect for getting around London, with plenty of stunning shops, bars and restaurants just round the corner. Gilli was so helpful with which restaurants to go too in the area and also what buses we would need too. We will be back! We would recommend this beautifully appointed home to stay too! Breakfast was wonderful with everything you could wish for! Very convenient location, just a few minutes from the bus and metro stops. You can reach central London easily. Gilly, the owner, is very kind and super available to help and give advice. It makes you feel like home. English breakfast prepared by her. Perfect room for two, private bathroom and in general the house is truly beautiful, in perfect English style . Absolutely recommended instead of hotel stays, being able to stay at home is an experience that must absolutely be experienced

Gilly is the perfect host! My parents stayed in her B&B for a weekend when they visited me in London, as I live around the corner. They were over the moon and super happy about the whole experience. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. It was quiet as well and my parents said that they could NOT hear any plane noise (I was worried about this initially). I joined for breakfast which was a great full English - homemade with fresh ingredients. Lovely bread as well. Can highly recommend staying at Gilly's B&B if you're looking for a special place that is conveniently located.

I recently got married in Fulham and decided to stay the night before my wedding at Gilly's B&B. My mother, aunt and uncle as well as my maid of honour also spent the wedding weekend there. Gilly was very helpful with accommodating each of us for various numbers of nights. The house is beautifully kept and Gilly went above and beyond to contribute to this special weekend. From bunches of flowers in the rooms to a scrumptious breakfast and the booking of taxis, she made sure we had everything we could wish for. Thanks again, Gilly!

My wife and I stayed with Gilly and were welcomed with a warmth that is rare nowadays. The location was perfect for us and the room and en-suite extremely comfortable..., the breakfast great! Actually, the breakfast was a very leisurely hour and a half, where most of the wrongs in the world were put right! To demonstrate Gilly's hospitality she raced after us down the King's Road when she realised my wife had left her earrings in the room.., I think enough said! I love staying with Gilly - its like a home from home. Warm personal service with excellent recommendations on where to go and what to do, in and around Fulham, Chelsea and Putney. Over the years we have stayed at Hurlingham Bed & Breakfast on many occasions. It is perfectly situated for the tennis at Wimbledon and Queen's Club, but its the attention to details that has always impressed me most. I can't recommend staying here highly enough - love it!

I had a wonderful stay with Gilly at her sweet B&B. It's located in a lovely area of Fulham and very handy for the tube into the city. It's homely with elegant decor... and, importantly, clean. I was working a late shift pattern and Gilly went out of her way to be accommodating - and was kind enough to do me a favour after I'd left the city. She was a superb host who couldn't have done enough for me. Would highly recommend a visit.

Fantastic bed and breakfast in a great location. I stayed at the Hurlingham BnB recently whilst visiting family in Fulham. The accommodation was first class and the breakfast was delicious. Just a short walk from Putney Bridge Underground station and handy to local amenities. I will definitely stay at the Hurlingham next time I visit London and I would highly recommend this BnB to anyone. First class all round!

Looking for somewhere to stay on my own, I was so lucky to find Gilly's lovely b and b. Such a pretty house, and my room was very comfortable with everything you could want. On 2 hot nights, I appreciated the bedding options of sheet/blanket/duvet! The breakfast was amazing, and set me up for a day at the tennis. Will not hesitate to recommend to friends who want a change from expensive, soulless hotels.

I have stayed at Hurlingham B&B on three occasion in the last few months and intend to stay there on future visits. Gilly Belfrage is a delightful hostess and she cooks the best breakfast in London. The house is well appointed and the bedrooms are warm and cosy . The internet is good and the house is very quiet . The location is very good, the area is very safe , and there is easy access to the tube.

I was working in the Putney area and decided to stay with Gilly. I had a lovely stay, location is excellent, breakfast very good and a lovely comfortable bedroom which was en suite. Gilly was a really great host, recommended some fantastic restaurants and was very easy/nice to talk to. It was almost like staying with an old friend. I would highly recommend staying at Gillys.

I thoroughly enjoyed my week long stay at Gilly's B&B. The location was perfect for my daily business travel into the city and the major airports. The location of the bed and breakfast is excellent. Close to public transport. Quiet and safe neighborhood. There are many restaurants nearby. The room is fine. There are no easy steps. The place owner is a bit too critical because she lives there. When people are on vacation they should feel free and not as guests.

We had the most wonderful time staying at Ginny's beautiful home. Our room was immaculate and the bathroom was a good size. Ginny was the perfect host she greeted us with a cup of tea and cooked the most delicious breakfast. Ginny was a very informative host and we really enjoyed her company. We will return!
