I have been here several times and each time the service gets worse. My boyfriend and I came here on Valentine's Day after our reservation at another establishment was canceled. They were overbooked (go figure). We saw the hostess for the evening and was told that someone would be with us shortly. We chose to sit outside by the fire to enjoy the ambiance and we were completely overlooked and disregarded. A server came out to check on us and to let us know that someone ELSE would be back to take our order. I wouldn't make such a fuss had several people including the server who we first made contact with, didn't continue to walk outside and make direct eye contact with us. Eventually I called the restaurant while still seated outside to let them know they had forgotten about us. To their credit, when I called, they immediately sent another server out. My gripe is with the initial server and hostess because they both lacked majorly with regard to their customer service skills and empathy. We were not given an apology on behalf of the server or hostess who sat us down and said we would be seen SHORTLY. We could have at the very least, been asked what we wanted to drink. I will not return because I value my money and to give it to a restaurant who has little to no regard for its customers is not something I will choose to do. I know my business doesn't matter as their are hundreds of others who frequent this establishment. At the very least I expect their servers, hostesses and other employees to treat ALL customers with respect and decency.

I frequent Hurricane wings often simply for their starter nachos but one bad experience has made it so I will not go back. I called in at 8:37p on a Thursday night (4/13/23) to place a pick up order before they close at 10p. I was placed on hold 15mins, I was already on the way to the restaurant so just remained on hold until I was hung up on when I arrived in the parking lot. I walked in and asked to place an order and letting the bartender know someone hung up on me when trying to place and I look to my right and the phone is sitting right next to her behind the bar. She said nothing in regards to it as I told her my order and she just took my card. She brung my food out and still said nothing, just placed my food on the table and walked away not seeing if I needing anything additional, when after reviewing my order the red creme sauce for the nachos was missing, I didn’t even bother, I just left since I was such a bother. Simply poor customer service makes you lose customers, I may be just one but I’m sure I’m not the only as poor attitudes and unpleasant people behind the bar and even on the phone will make you lose many. I used to work in the service industry, you never know what order is coming through over the phone or the type of money you can miss simply because it’s later in the evening and you don’t feel like it. If you don’t want to do service get out the service industry. I will not be back to this location that I frequented the past seven years since moving to Jacksonville, FL.

We were in town for a game and decided to try out this location. We arrived a little after six and we’re told the wait was 45 minutes which we did not mind. We sat outside where we were told we would still receive service , food , drinks, etc. We were told that the kitchen was behind so the wait is for food to come out, we figured we’d order food and just wait while we have some drinks etc. We were seated outside with menus but had to clean off our own tables and chairs, we waited twenty minutes and no one ever came to bring us drinks or check on our table. We asked a hostess nicely if she can send a waitress over and we waited an additional thirty minutes and still no waitress, not even water brought to our table. A waitress did come out and spilled drinks and didn’t even come back to clean it , it sat on the floor for quite some time creating a clear liability. My fiancé then went to advise of the same and ask about a waitress coming over to bring drinks and atleast take our order to put in. The hostess at the front had a terrible attitude, turned away from him and requested that someone else “get with that guy”. We waited well over an hour and we were very patient with the situation , however a negative attitude was unwarranted and completely uncalled for . We were the ones who received very poor service , not to mention we had our children with us as well . We have never had an experience like this and left frustrated and completely unsatisfied with this location!

First time at this location, and first time in about 5 years at any franchise location. I was meeting a friend. It was before the dinner rush, but waitress was extremely slow in even taking a drink order. I ordered fish & chips, which was on the menu as having 2 sides. I opted for a Cesar salad (upcharge) and I was mulling about a second side and I said something about the fries already with it, and the waitress says it doesn't come with fries. But it says FISH & CHIPS. I want the fish and chips! Well, she apparently didn't know her menu. Maybe she was new? So she gave me actual potato chips, not fries. TF? So I had to order fries for a SIDE. The fish was wayyy overdone, and I had to dig out the fish from the too-hard-to-cut coating with my fingers. (I know, ordering fish at a wing place is probably not a great idea, but it's on the menu and what I wanted.) Despite it being fairly empty when we arrived, our food and our service took what I consider quite a long time. Overall, it was not a very good experience. There was some confusion at the outside bar, too, as I wanted a drink before my friend arrived. I guess they charge things differently? I don't know, but overall, not impressed. Would not return to this location, at least.

I wanted to go to a place I could enjoy with my family (husband and young son), eat good food, and have a good drink. I had a cranberry margarita and water, my husband had a blue moon beer and water, and our son had a sierra mist (it was brought in a clear to go glass with a straw, which was perfect size for him), we ordered our drinks and appetizer of fried pickles together and then ordered a side salad each, and we ordered 2 10 piece bone in wings (my husband chose secret weapon and I chose mild teriyaki and mild garlic Parm buffalo) and our son a kids chicken tender (3) and fries. By the end of our visit I wanted to buy a round for the cooks because it was that delicious! Our son is picky (SPD) about what he eats and he loved it as well! Our bill was well worth it in the end.

A nice sports bar offering a good dining experience with good prices. The service was excellent. The servers provide you with a large sized menu and don't require you to scan it off the table. Always a plus in my mind. They also ensured you were promptly taken care of and worked with you when you needed more time! The food was delicious, so why a 4 on the food? Well, it has plenty of ingredients and all was fresh. However, my salad base lettuce was iceberg and not mixed with kale, romaine, or spinach that I am used to. There was lots of bacon and grilled chicken on the salad, adding to the delicious flavor. I liked the astetics of the place. It was appealing. I was a little cold, but since I am not from the area, I guess it is what the locals desire. When dining around Jacksonville, it is hard to find a place to park, and Hurricane Grill and Wings has a decent sized parking lot. I'm sure if you stop here for food, drink or to watch sports you will enjoy the time you spend doing just that.

If I could leave a zero star review I would. I’ve never felt obligated to leave a review but this was the most disappointing experience I’ve ever had. As a past server from both a sports to fine dining I experienced second hand embarrassment. After waiting over an hour and 30 minutes and seeing others who were sat after us receive their food before ours, our server neglected to address the problem. No manager, no compensations, barely a refill on our drinks. It would be one thing to be on a wait and see food consistently coming out and at least communication from the server about what was going on however there as barely food coming out and had to ask a host in order to get an update on our food. When it came out portions were small and food was Luke warm. I don’t blame just the server but lack of decent management because good management would’ve read a room and personally apologized for the ridiculous wait and dealt with things instead of hiding in the kitchen.

This place was the perfect spot to grab a bite before our concert at Jack Rabbits. We started out with kettle chips and queso. It was good but nothing spectacular. We wanted the pretzel with beer cheese, but they had run out of beer cheese. We need want to eat too much so yhe hubs and I shared the Philly with garlic parm fries. I'm not gonna lie it didn't have high expectations for the entree... but let me tell you they blew my socks off. It was honestly one of the best Phillys I've ever had in my life and the garlic parm fries are just as good. Hurricanes started of weak but ended strong . We would definitely go here again. For my fellow nuerodivergents it is very loud and will overstimulate, not the worst but just be ready for the atmosphere.

So we came here was because Jack Rabbits doesn't have liquor. The entrances are placed in very weird locations. Apparently there's one on the far side of the bar and one on the opposite side of the building. They were doing trivia when we went yesterday. We sat at the bar and ordered a fireball, red bull, Dr Pepper and had the Neptune Bites. Which consisted of fried Crab bites and calamari. It's definitely greasy there. I couldn't finish my food and I'm definitely suffering today from it. My friend had a Jack and Coke and shared the app with me. The restroom was out of toilet paper in the little stall and the big stall was full of toilet paper in the toilet itself. Probably won't come back here. The only reason it gets three stars, is because the drink prices were good at the time.

Got fried pickles, garlic parm wings and medium Buffalo wings. Fried pickles were great but that was about it. First I ordered boneless but I got bone in second the garlic park was so oiley that all the seasoning kinda just fell off with all the grease so your just eating oiley wings with no flavor. The Buffalo was bland and even though I ordered medium it dident even really taste like mild. And last even the ranch was bad enough to bring up. Without a better way of explaining it the ranch tasted watered down. For customer service the guy at the bar was nice however its a little annoying when you barely touch your meal and they don't ask if there was anything wrong with it. I’ve been coming here for over a year, as I manage the dispensary across the street I frequent this location. I always am treated with respect and kindness. If am ordering to go or dining in, it is always a pleasant and laid back experience. The servers here do not get the credit they truly deserve, they always are there to assist with a smile on their faces, they will go out of their way to make you feel at home and that’s something you don’t usually encounter in Jacksonville. The food is always fresh and hot, and people please, if you have an issue with your order, kindly let your server know and they will make it right for you before you leave. Amthony, you are the man! If you go to this Hurricanes, in San Marco, you must ask for him to serve you, and no one else. His personality, helpfulness, and efficiency as a server is unmatched. Very intelligent, great conversationalist, and a fun sense of humor. With that said. The food, as usual, brought to the table in perfect form. We chose the bacon cheeseburger, and 10 winvs with the cyclone sauce, and the sweet asian sauce. Great selection of wings and sauces, sandwiches, and fast eats. Good selection of seafood, and vegan options. They have a great selection of beer, including local brews such as Veterans United, wine and cocktails. Great selection of TV's for just about any spprting event. Visit, sit inside or out, play games, leave full and with money!

Never got our appetizer, main course or water. Took 15 min before we even got waited on. A couple who came AFTER us received their drinks, appetizers & main course before us. We were there 1 hr & only had the alcohol drinks we ordered & my boyfriend's drink wasn't even correct. And the waitress didn't even check on us. So we just left. We were seated outside, so I sat in my car to see how long before she got back to us. I sat there 5 min & she still had come back. Ridiculous & unacceptable service. Will not be back. I loved this place so much, we went here twice within the two days my husband and I were in Jacksonville. The Bavarian pretzel, Parmigian fries, and I had a chicken bowl were my favorites. We had classic buffalo wings and they were delicious! We asked for extra crispy and they were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of buffalo sauce. Their churrasco steak with chimichurri sauce was ok. Chimichurri doesn’t taste anything like regular chimichurri sauce. Side of broccoli was drenched in butter. Price of $32.99 for 20 wings is outrageously expensive for Jacksonville and it’s even more expensive than NYC! One star off for expensive prices and weird chimichurri sauce.

I got the fried shrimp, Mexican street corn, and the garlic parmesan broccoli. First I want to say that the shrimp was terrible. The grease was old, and needed to be changed. The breading was falling off, and they tasted terrible. They left a bitter taste in your mouth after eating. The Mexican street corn was hard like it was from two days ago. It did not taste good at all. The best part was the broccoli. It was cooked well where it wasn’t over cooked, and all mushy. So out of my meal the only thing I ate was the broccoli. Next time the office eats out for lunch this will not be a suggestion.

I want to like Hurricanes. This location is not far from my home and it would be so convenient if they could get their act together. But every single order has errors: an entree left off, food made incorrectly, etc. Tonight my kids ordered dinner from Hurricanes. A half hour past the promised delivery time, the delivery driver called to say that the manager cancelled the order. I tried to call Hurricane’s several times to see if we needed to come pick it up, but the phone was busy every time. (Phone off the hook?).

I have no idea what happened to this place, but the food I got today was a joke. Instead of “ten jumbo wings” they sent me some mini chicken nuggets/tenders with NO MEAT - JUST BATTER. Not wings at all. Instead of Mexican street corn on the Cobb, they send a measly portion of corn kernels. This is not what is described on the menu, in the images, and definitely NOT what I’ve gotten before from ordering the same items. Location was great…right off of 95. Very convenient. Restaurant was clean and looked like it would a great place to hang out….But….we were a group of adults on vacay and was placed in the little side room near the front door (and it was extremely cold every time it was opened.). The only other table that was occupied in that area was a family with two very young kids. Felt like we was put in time out…lol. Really? Read your clientele….Food was VERY GOOD but service was lacking. No follow through. Couldn’t find our server for the entire meal.

We usually have great food and service but today the kitchen was messing up bad. The table behind us sent both their salads back because of old brown lettuce. My wife's burger was ordered medium, and half of it was cold. The fried weren't hot, and I ordered the nachos with chicken added. It's was. $3 upcharge but it came out with the chicken. The waitress fixed the bill, but I felt bad for her because so many orders were being returned and unhappy customers.

I recently visited Hurricanes Grill and Wings San Marco and had an amazing experience! Andee, our bartender, went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable time. I love the flavor options that they have and the wings are very saucy. The mac n cheese bites were good, but you only get 5, they come with tortilla chips and bacon and queso, which is a bit extravagant for a garnish, but had I known we would only get 5, I would have passed, they weren't worth $9. My drink went empty, the place wasn't busy at all, and 4 servers were standing around talking. Not a huge deal, but not worth 5 stars either.

Teresa was friendly and professional with a great smile. I ordered fish tacos with a side of coleslaw and an iced tea total cost $14.10. Service was great the tacos hot and fresh, coleslaw tasty and the iced tea cold. The booths are not comfortable at all they are hardwood. It gives me the impression they want you out ASAP. At this location you should park in the back no parking up front. I stopped in at 4pm just a few customers.

We arrived on a Friday evening and had the hostess seat us outside. The place was not very busy. She gave us some menus and for the next 30 minutes no server came by. I went inside and spoke with the manager. She apologized and offered us a round of drinks. Not impressed with the menu and very disappointed with the service. A round of drinks is not good enough to bring me back. I recommend not wasting your time at this place.

My first time there. It was a little hard to locate but the service, food, and atmosphere made it worth the hunt. Five ladies from our family went and we all ordered different dishes. Everyone was very happy with their food. It was shrimp tacos for me after sampling several of their appetizers. ALL were delicious! The one item I would definitely recommend you to try is their corn on the cob...OMG--- to die for!!!!

Great atmosphere! The servers were quick and on point. The lady we had was nice and kept checking on us. The food was great, the Gridiron wings were fully cooked and juicy, no pink in the middle. The fries were a little over seasoned but other than that it was a fine meal. I was visiting Jacksonville for the weekend and decided to try this place! I was not upset with the results.

To go order and I obviously ordered the wrong thing, but how can you go wrong with boneless wings, fries, shrimp and mozzarella sticks. My food wasn't fresh, boneless wings were just breading and no meat. Disappointment. May possibly try some other items on the menu.

We went in at about 11pm one night and I got wings and my hubby got a margarita bucket and a disgusting key lime pie... They got a two star rating only because the waitress was okay. I love Hurricanes but not this location. Watched a drug deal happen inside the restaurant between a server and a random guy. Revived the wrong drink, and wrong sauces. Pretty sure our server was new so still tipped well. Had a homeless man walk in the door and ask us for stuff and only us. All around not a good experience. More

This location can get pretty place so plan accordingly. This visit the server was very polite & our group of 10 got our food pretty quickly. I order 10 wings (2 flavors). The total cost came out to almost $14. The food was yummy & we had a nice time together. I surprised because usually it takes about 20-30 for food to arrive.

Hot fresh food definitely will be back.

Clean, spacious and comfortable with good service and food. The price was a bit expensive and the portions were normal. The dessert option portions are small and the prices high , but they do have some unique flavors and a great location.

A family favorite. Nice list of options on the Wings menu. I also like the setup it's very conducive to meeting up with groups of people. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

Enjoyed my bacon quacamole burger with onion rings quite a bit though it was slightly overcooked. Everything was fresh and flavorful. My friend really enjoyed his wings - there was something for everyone. We had a party of seven and service was good - though the food did not come out together.

Ordered chicken wings that were still very raw. Server was not attentive. Had to ask for refills on drinks several times. Food and service not worth their prices.

This place is great! Wings were very good. I am typically not a fan of lemon pepper wings. Their lemon pepper wings are awesome! The Buffalo Parmesan, Gold Rush and Secret Weapon are also very good. They have a lot of TVs for watching your favorite game. Service and Atmosphere are a 5. More

No ma’am/sir I got the stinging hot honey garlic and asked for the wings to be fried hard and the skin was very rubbery with little flavoring due to lack of sauce. I will not be back those wings were trash I threw them out

This location was always a great place to go pre-covid. Me and my wife went a few times after and the quality of the food has dipped a bit. The loaded fries weren't as loaded as they used to be and my philly cheese steak was a bit dry. My wife loved her fish though. The service was great.

Was there for the 4th of July walked in ordered our food had it in a little under 30 minutes. Not bad for a business like this one. Food was very good not awsome but very good. If I'm ever back in town will definitely stop there again.

The wings here were excellent, and I also had the steak, which was cooked perfectly. I was in from out of town, and didn't even realize it was a chain. Friendly staff and great vibe. There waa guy over in corner strangely sharpening pencils, but he was just getting ready for trivia! More

My to go order which I ordered with my dine in order took forever, extending my stay over 30 minutes! The manager was not very helpful, but the waitress who was very good and kind was very apologetic even refunding the cost of my to go order, which I suspect came out of her tips. More

It took 30 mins to get my fried shrimp. It took an hour to get my son's sandwich. Food was good. Service was lousy. We had to ask waitress for silverware , water refills, the rest of our order. An hour into dinner she said new chefs are learning the menu. Pitiful, I won't return.

Fun atmosphere, great food and drinks. They should get half and half to make delicious White Russians

The wings were charred and flavorless. The fries were soggy and cold. The coleslaw was just shredded cabbage in whole milk. Not wanting to waste any, I offered these to my corgis. Unfortunately, corgies have refined palettes and they politely (and condescendingly) declined.

Great Wings and Awesome Bartenders. Posting dollar bills on walls, but Dan didn't make it. But ol Dan now has his name on the wall thanks to a $1.00 donation by Maxi. Just goes to show, it's a very friendly lively place, with Awesome Varities of Wings n Burgers....yummy!

Close to downtown; easy to find. Great environment. Indoor and outdoor seating. Food is absolutely fantastic and having been here several times in past few months there consistency is truly ON POINT!! You really do get the same great tasting foods every time!!

Wings are expensive (like everyone nowadays) however the bone in wings are amazing. Service is always good. I reccomend dynamite/spicy garlic combination!

Ordered take-out with friends. They gave us the wrong fries. The BBQ sauces were all the same. The fries weren’t seasoned well. My wrap was overall fine. I would recommend other places, but would eat here if someone told me we were going there.

They were super nice! I had a huge order for my family, there was a little mistake but they took care of it quickly! One of my favorite restaurants in Jacksonville!

Friendly and competent staff. The food was delicious. There was a small order mix up but it was no biggie. We were thinking it would be a large crowd due to Mother's Day but it wasn't packed at all. We plan to go back soon.

Super awesome crew here. They handled our entire baseball team and parents, all while implementing state and local policies for COVID 19. Food was great, atmosphere was gun and everyone was well taken care of.

The level of customer service here was amazing! The food tasted great, the server was extremely helpful, and sitting on the patio outside during the evening being able to enjoy was a great end to a long day.

Hit or miss. When it’s good, it’s good. When it’s bad, it’s bad. Ordered wings and fries through Uber eats and got raw fries, barely cooked. I’d recommend dining in otherwise waste of money to order to go.

My burger was delicious, but the highlight for me was the staff. I was seated by some of the servers who were off—they cracked me up; everybody was so cool. Great food, best customer service! Thanks y'all!

The prices for some items were just unbelievable. $5 for a side of chips.

I instantly got sick after eating there garlic Parmesan wings and fries but everyone at the table enjoyed their food no problem. They can’t ever say let’s go here because I’m not going to risk it.
