IGA were never on my supermarket radar. But they are now. I'm a regular at IGA Waterloo. The staff cannot do enough for you. The recent renovations are fabulous. Its clean and the shelves are never empty, always stocked with your fave brands + lots of new ones. The fruit + Veg are always fresh and the Deli section, filled with delicious delights. If you're after a specific product and they don't have it, let them know. It'll be there for you within 48hrs. The prices at IGA used to be a little more than the 2 majors. However, I now find they are beating the competition hands down! IGA Waterloo actually cares about its customers. If you've never been to IGA Waterloo - why not give them a go.. You'll be glad you did
The Waterloo IGA has been newly renovated and it looking great. I’m the first to admit that I’ve been visiting the bigger supermarkets because of their specials but I’ve decided to stop doing that. This IGA has very friendly staff (haven’t come across anyone even remotely rude), a range of items that’s very different (+ items similar) to the larger supermarkets. When you visit places like this, you support local communities so why not shop here instead of the big 2 supermarkets? The only downside is parking. Theres roadside parking just outside the IGA but it can get busy
Hi I went into the store yesterday brought dish liquid detergent for $2.55 then went in today brought the same one for $2.35 and no it is not on sale I told the lady at the checkout and she just wasn't interested that I had brought it to her attentiin that I got ripped off and then maybe because I made a complaint the lady made me put my groceries in the bag and when I askeyou d her why she was not packing my groceries she told me "I thought you wanted to do it" no that's why I gave the bag to
Conveniently located in the public housing estates of Waterloo on the corner of Wellington and Bourke Streets. Run and operated by owners and partners with his staff and invests great deal of time energy and effort in meeting their required training needs. Thus enabling excellent customer service. An place to shop locally and support local business, prices are inexpensive to excellent customer service second to none Conveniently located at 13-21 botany road Alexandria. Review from Duncan's
Totally and constantly go above and beyond with their customer service. I can totally recommend their staff and the store. I really have to say this is my favourite grocery/convenience shop. Can you change places with IGA Rozelle? I would coming in and seeing happy staff and a share jokes. Plus, you are treated like a human at Waterloo and not like an annoying customer. Although I probably am an annoying Customer with my requests for Banana Milk .
I want to buy a Covid test box urgent today. I can't find it anywhere. I heard from my friends IGA waterloo may have some,When I came over, I found out that the store here sells Covid test box in very cheap conscience price, and the variety fresth vegetables and fruits, coffee, freshly squeezed juice, etc. all sell at very, very reasonable prices. The service is very good and the things are neatly arranged. I have to manually like it. well done!
3.9 - Wandered in here on a Friday night and really liked how bright and clean the store was. I walked up and down the aisles and found a lot of interesting products. There's also heaps of different nibblies in the deli, interesting teas etc. I would have bought more items if I lived nearby but I was going to dinner with a friend. I noticed there were fresh juices (50 cents more than Coles at $6.99). Friendly service at the cashier.
Lovely shop store looks bright and fresh I enjoy the fresh squeezing orange juice machines which are very common in EU, but the Tahiti female store manager or staff on Sat morning was not friendly… but reasonable expectation in that area. The other Asian staff was friendly and polite. The transaction with cash was not given receipt. Not a store I normally visit just nearby so got few items for breakfast.
It used to be a great place to shop a few years back. Security Guards at the door. Polite staff. Seems every time I visit here now there's building going on. I really don't want to shop IN a building site. Security has gone. And staff seem not to care how long customers wait...that's if you can find them. Shame really... I used to love it.
This is my local. Has what I need for most occasions. Staff is nice and friendly. Store is always clean. Never any lines for the checkout - if there's even 2 people in line you hear *Check out please* over the P.A. system I think they've done a good job at taking on board peoples feedback to improve the store over the past year or so.
Has all the basics you need at reasonable prices. For a smaller store they have a good variety fresh produce at competitive prices. Lots of international food and especially liked the variety of Asian vegetables, noodles and frozen food. They also have a deli for hot foot. It's generally not crowded and never need to wait long.
This supermarket has lots of international foods including lots of good frozen and pantry Asian food, European and UK food. Also a large selection of teas and coffees. Because there are so many goodies to be found the bill can add up but I think that it is worth a browse here every now and then for gourmet goodies.
Not a huge fan of most IGA outlets but this store sells incense sticks at $1.85 per box, which retail at $3.50 at the store near Newtown Station. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the shopping experience is much more personable than enduring hideous automated machines at rival supermarket chains.
My local IGA, I go regularly & in the last year the store has been redeveloped with all new fridges ect. The staff are friendly with one of them always outgoing to the degree I & some others have nicknamed her smiley. A pleasant place to shop which is a refreshing contrast to many a supermarket.
Experience is good now. Since I don't get immediately followed around the store any more. It used 2B disrespectful when that happened every time I shopped there. These days it is much nicer 2 shop there, because they know I'm not a thief. I enjoy spending time & money with them now. Thank U
This place is great, I just grabbed a quarter chicken and roast veggies, a can of coke and 6 yellow nectarines the size of cricket balls for just over 11 bucks The nectarines are sweet and juicy and the meal is great, how could I not come back Great job guys
My wife and I are local shoppers and find the store excellent and the staff always helpful and attentive to our needs. The Waterloo IGA has in these recent days been a reliable source of basic products that the chains are sometimes unable to provide. We are always happy to shop here.
The woman im assuming was a manager or the owner was just incredibly rude. Would have just walked out had I not needed my purchase. Only reason for 2 stars was the poor employee, he was really nice. She just made it seem like I was a huge inconvenience. I only got 2 items
Very rude staff and prices are not IGA prices or price matched as their advertising suggest on TV with Kenny etc. Don't FALL for the hype. Shop at another IGA or if you shop at this store I guarantee you won't shop at another IGA EVER again.
New remodel, and they did a great job. Open layout, much more stock, and more competitive prices than a few years ago. This grocer has earned a try, and they have a gorgeous fresh produce section. Truly a gem in the neighborhood.
Consistently horrendous experience. 1. They need doors for their refrigerators - the entire store is one big freezer - so cold. 2. A large percentage of the produce you'll buy from here is past it's best before date.
I paid $10 for an umbrella that broke within 15 minutes. This is typical of the kind of shoddy $2 shop type items they sell here. However, their actual groceries are reasonably priced and have ok specials at times.
Love the Polynesian lady on checkout she should be paid more always a delight one of my more favoured stores because of her ! Thanks Auntie Poly lady I love the Mango and White peach jam xx
Quite a good lil store nice & spread out. Seems to b a staff member in every isle, actually doing wrk. It's a bit on the expensive side but that's wot u get in an iga...
The Chinese shop assistant after serving me started yelling I'm sick of these people! Never to go there again, Woolies are much cheaper and more choice
I really like this supermarket. Sometimes there is really cheap fruit which is great. The salads arent as cheap but fresh and delicious every time.
I enjoy do shopping, products are fair price but some of their products are derear then Coles or Woolworths the same product
Lots of choices at good value prices, but the best part by far are the staff. Very professional, friendly and helpful.
Friendly service and good prices. Support these stores over the local Woolworths monopoly.
Good selection of decent quality vegetables.
