First off I want to start out by saying PEOPLE READ REVIEWS BEFORE THEY BUY. With that said only complaints about this place are they don't answer there phones. I called 5 times with no answer and voicemail full. On the 5th call someone answered. Before I continue I will say this. I have been in sales and sometimes it is not possible to answer phones when you are with a cx. Is it frustrating? yes. does it show bad business sense? No. When the phone was answered I asked questions about the retro 7 they had. He asked if I would like him to go get shoes and tell me what he sees. I said no at first since wanted rest of my questions answered first and last place I tried buying from straight lied to me. I had him tell colors on tongue since they are all different. We told me quality and was very helpful. I ordered them after we got off phone. I received them and where as described new in box. Also their prices were better then everywhere else. I did the rounds verifying they were real and of course they were. I don't write reviews very often but I felt I should for these guys. On any review board you check not once have they been accused of selling fakes or lying or anything dishonest. Again always some complaint they don't answer phone. I've been lied to by other places I was gonna buy from or straight up ignored. Now I'm glad I was since lead me to INDEX PDX. Saved money and found a new place to get shoes from. Thank you for helping me out and getting me the shoes I wanted and answering all my questions. I still need those retro 7 Raptors so don't forget about me.

I will say, after seeing this place in multiple videos and hearing how awesome this place was, my friend and I had to check it out ourselves. My friend had a really good “assembled” pair to see if they lived up to the hype of being a good authenticator. The Asian dude that authenticated the pair said that the shoe was “authentic.” We were a little surprised by the answer but also not completely surprised. The shoe has real materials at every part, it was just not assembled in a Nike factory. Can’t fault them for not seeing that. However, after reading a review where the owner guarantees authenticity, I was quite surprised. This was my only concern and reason for giving it 4 stars. Everything about the store was great. The guy really knew so much about sneaker culture. The Asian girl that was there didn’t seem like she knew as much but she was still super friendly and willing to help in any way. I really do think they do a good job authenticating pairs, not on them to not catch an assembled pair, it had me fooled too when I first saw them. After talking with other friends that have been to index, what I appreciate about index is that if they are unsure of a pair, they won’t take a chance on it. However, I’m sure there are some one off cases like ours where things slip through the cracks. I guess they are kind of like stockx and goat, can’t always fully guarantee 100% authenticity.

I was there to get a legit check on a pair of aj1 off white Chicago red(were pretty beat up tbh) wasnt sure if they werw fakes or not so i went in to get a check. Wasnt sure if it was free but the guy there(forgot his name) helped me out. Unfortunately he could only do one pair which was okay with me as long as it was free. He seem to know his thing on these shoes. He had 2 people check and honestly i believe his words. Really good staff and great selection of shoes. I would have brought something if i had money at the time but i am thinking of going back to buy a aj1 Chicago red 2015 maybe around next month. Overall a good place and great customer service. I would highly recommend them.

I’m not sure why there are reviews saying they never answer the phone and that the staff is “flexing” on dudes. This place is killer! They’ve answered all my calls, and the prices are very competitive. I shop on eBay frequently and they’re all about the same, give or take a few bucks. Also, these dudes offer pretty reasonable prices when selling kicks too. Very knowledgeable staff as well! I’ve never had a bad experience here. I go in maybe once a month to check out the SB Dunk selection. And the selection is awesome! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO ALL SNEAKERHEADS IN PDX!

Brought my son in to get so new kicks. The 2 guys that were behind the desk greeted us and asked what we were looking for and what size we told them the size we were looking for. They both proceeded to tell us to pull up their website and find ones we liked there. We did which still.kimd of odd when your in the store. The 4 sets of shoes we showed on the website we were told oh those have been gone for months. I asked so what shoes do you have in his size and was told we don't really know. Come on really?

Ordered J1 Fearless Facetasm online, got really lucky and they had my size in and well below average listed price, seemed like destiny so I had to cop. Shipped quickly and arrived in great condition. Price was very reasonable, shoes so lightly used they were VNDS. Really appreciate the photography on the website, they were 100% the exact shoes sold and I knew exactly what I was buying. Overall a great experience, highly recommend their used shoes for value; you’re gonna wear em anyway!

I love this place but they have the worst customer service ever like not in person but on the phone and threw ig like the absolute worst the don’t answer the phone and it’s like a staff of 4 or more of them but they sit like the phone is not ringing and then they barely respond on their ig messages like why have a phone if your not gonna answer or tell ppl to go threw ig if ur not gonna respond y’all gotta do way way way way better on that aspect everything else is good tho

I’m coming from philly on a business trip and had some time to waste. I’m a sneaker head and google this place. First thing was it was a bunch of homeless tent on the sidewalk front store. It seem like all the business was closed except the sneaker store. Walked in and wasn’t greeted at all. Just 2 staff talking. I ask if they had the sneaker this size and just said “NO”. That’s the only word they said when I first walk in and out. I felt like I wasn’t welcome.

Hands down one of the best sneaker shops period. Every time Im in the Portland/Washington area I make it a point to stop in and say hello and to check out the massive selection of some of the hottest sneakers in the game, if I can't make it in person then I'm always checking the website to see what sizes and new inventory is available. Staff is SUPER friendly, knowledgeable and wants to help. If you are looking for the real deal then this is your spot!!!!!!

These guys always legit check sneakers free of charge no problem. They're hella chill and know their stuff. I like that they encourage people to use them as a resource, so check them out. They have a good selection of new and classic sneakers at competitive prices. Used sneakers at lower prices and you can sell yours to them on consignment. On their insta I see lots of famous people shopping here when they're in town, so they must be good right!

An unwelcoming and judgmental environment. In my experience, the staff was rude and unhelpful. They DO NOT provide free legit checks "no matter what" - as one review claims. If they don't know you, or don't like the way you're dressed, you'll almost certainly be kicked out of the store. Same goes if you ask about pricing. I recommend only going if you have a personal relationship with one of the employees.

Cool looking store went in to buy some yeezys or off whites that were in my size but unfortunately even though the shoe wasn't wrapped in plastic I was told I wasn't allowed to try any on. Would have loved to bought 1 or 2 pairs of shoes but for that kinda money I at least wanna make sure they fit. Especially after driving an hour to Portland for them. Might as well just order online and save your gas.

Went there actually 2 years ago and my heart still remember that place. Went in to spend around $400-500 on a pair and immediately felt like I wasnt welcome. Got treated like I was stupid because I asked a question about sizing. Condescending uninviting staff. Ignoring shoppers and not even greeting them while they have their fun little get-together. Smh I was a loyal customer but not anymore. Rather go on StockX

Always got fire kicks, go to spot when I need something, retros, YZY, and some rare rare finds. Customer service is great and always a response or help when needed even when they don’t have a sneaker you want will definitely point you in the right direction in getting what you want, will continue supporting index.

These people know their shoes. They are very helpful and everything they sell is top notch, they have 'used' items but they look brand new, they won't take anything unless it looks like just came out of the box. They have hard to find sizes and one of a kind items. Worth stopping by just to see their inventory.

I regularly go in. The staff is absolutely amazing and great to hang out with. Super friendly and genuinely good hearted people that love what they do. They provide services and events to the community that I canny be more thank ful for . As a sneaker head , this is the most important place for me in Portland

Love the store itself have sold a couple shoes through them and staff is friendly and easy to work with, but man they need to answer their phone better. Easily less then 50% of time do they answer it and their voicemail box is full too. A bit frustrating for someone who lives a ways away from the store.

Great place to shop. Actually ran into travis scott himself here as well without knowing it. They've got a crazy collection with every off white you can think of, every travis you can think of, even air mags. 10/10, just copped travis phantoms for a fair price too. Pricing is reasonable.

Very nice collection of shoes, everything was way more priced then I couldn't afford, but the staff was nice and was courteous and most of the collection was out and able to be looked at and touched (they are in plastic) but it's still much better then looking shoes behind glass

If I can give theses disrespect little ****** zero star I definitely would. Little young Asian guy that works here is a first class POS. I will never return to this store and wouldn't recommend anyone else to. I'd rather go barefoot instead of coming back to this store.

Always my go to spot for detailed shoe information. You can bring in anything and these guys will find the story behind it, guarantee authenticity (or not) and have you leading like you just left meeting with someone with a PHD in sneakers. Keep up the great work.

A really cool place to visit. I'm not a sneaker head but I can see how this place would be fun for someone who is. Totally a place to check out if you're in Portland because you can look at these super cool shoes you normally wouldn't get to see on people's feet.

Came In to sell my shoe that I bought from goat the shoe box had the goat authentication card we did not agree on a price i left got to my house opened the box the card is gone I called them 10 times no one picked up the phone . What a great customer service guys

Brought in 2 different pairs of shoes to be authenticated, and they told me they we're fake and worth nothing. Both of them were authenticated through online sell sites. Don't trust these guys to give you honest reviews on shoes, they're not gonna get it right.

Not a ton of sizes but the shoes there are straight fire. Must visit just to see if you're into kicks. Prices are high, but they seem to be market value, and about the same you'd pay on eBay but you can see what you're getting before you purchase.

Pretty upset. Bought a pair of Jordan 1s for $170. My fault for not looking online first, but the same pair is available on Nike.com for $115. Feel like I got ripped off when they add a 50% premium to a sneaker that’s still on sale...

In a nutshell, they have cool items that they don't pay for, which results in no need to have good customer service, answer the phone, or be honest. Contrary to their website they do not do cashouts. Consignment only in my experience.

Cool selection to look at, but that's about it. If you're a real sneakerhead, figure out eBay and save yourself a couple hundred bucks (or more). Maybe hit this place up if you win the lottery or have a good pair of fake Yeezys.

Legit checked me a pair of off-white Jordan 5’s quick and easy, before I bought, love how the don't charge u for legit checks. Extremely recommended if you’re buying a shoe from elsewhere and want to verify there authenticity.

Index has the best selection of Jordan’s in all the land. Located right next to the Chinatown police prescient a block north of Dixie’s tavern in Oldtown, this spot has it all. Such a good store to have in the neighborhood.

This was a destination stop on a vacation, wasn't disappointed. Great selection, got several pairs of deadstock Jordans and a few clean used ones as well. Staff was very nice, will definitely be back on next trip.

There were nice shoes. They are those kinds of shoes that cost 1200 dollars and are vacuum sealed. They are all men's shoes. I guess if I was a rich man I'd shop here!
