Let me start off by saying... you are me, just months ago, reading reviews, blogs, & diamond websites. This type of investment can be daunting because there is SO MUCH TO LEARN ABOUT DIAMONDS! We made multiple appointments in the downtown diamond district and Icing On The Ring was a VERY clear choice after spending hours and hours galavanting around trying to find the best resource for our engagement ring. We were lucky enough to get paired with Raffia (it's a family business so I'm sure everyone is fantastic). Our first appointment was basically diamond education... We learned about the different shapes, cuts, colors, carats, bands, baskets, grading systems etc. From there we got to see a few of my favorite shapes and we left very confident that we would purchase from IOTR. Mostly because **I AM A SALES PERSON AND I DID NOT SENSE A SMIDGE OF SALSINESS OR PRESSURE** A couple weeks go by, we receive an email from Raffi, he brought in a handful of diamonds with the shapes we were looking at with a range of carats/colors/cuts/dimensions but all within our price range. I was in absolute heaven. I mean, this is a stone I'm going to wear for the rest of my life, I've got to connect with it right?! My other half was really enjoying the process because he better understood what were looking at (from our first meeting). We choose *THE* diamond, they make the ring in house (actually their Father makes the rings, which I love SO MUCH) so in just about 2 weeks I got to pick it up! It's only been a few weeks and I am still in utter awe of it's beauty. THANK YOU ICING ON THE RING- for making this process enjoyable for the both of us, and making all of my ring dreams come true! Do yourself a favor and make an appointment here, don't waste your time at other jewelers like we did!

I worked with Ara from Icing on the Ring and the service received at this establishment was absolutely phenomenal. The store is very nice, clean, and classy (a selection of scotch, vodka, and even Grand Marnier is available to celebrate your purchase) - this place is definitely a different feel from the other downtown jewelry district shops which can be quite seedy. This inspired confidence at least for me (a novice jewelry buyer) and made me confident in my purchase. Ara was great and helped me find a ring to fit my unique specifications. After showing me several loose stones on my initial visit, he helped me prioritize what aspects were most important to me. He called me just two days later saying he found a stone that he thought matched my specifications. He was absolutely right - my purchase for the engagement ring to my fiance was a done deal. I also feel that their pricing is reasonable when comparing products of similar quality to competitors. Also, the lifetime guarantee they provide is a nice added bonus. The business is family owned and operated. When picking up my engagement ring, the owner came out to speak with me while I waited for service. What an authentic person and wealth of knowledge. I was very nervous making one of the largest purchases of my life and after speaking with him, I was completely at ease. Note that he is actually the individual that makes the customized ring for you (you can watch him work through the window). Because it is so awesome, the store can get quite busy especially on weekends. Call ahead and make an appointment if you are going in with your significant other and do not want to wait.

***ABSOLUTE PROS AT SETTING YOU UP FOR THE BIG DAY*** I did extensive research online about diamonds and the Downtown LA Jewelry District (Diamond Pros, Reddit, Yelp, etc.). After visiting a handful of jewelers I decided to go with Icing On The Ring and I honestly cannot say enough great things about them and my diamond expert, Ara. The showroom is top-notch with a plethora of unique bands and jewelry. Their inventory is stocked with high-quality diamonds that come with either GIA or IGI certification. They also have great after-purchase benefits like resizing within a year, complimentary refurbishing once a year, and a lifetime diamond upgrade. This makes your purchase that much better. Finding the right diamond was a journey (mainly because of how granular I can be) but Ara was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and patient throughout the whole process. He was persistent about finding the diamond that I wanted and was never pushy and worked within my budget. He showed me a dozen diamonds over my month of searching until we found the perfect one, an Emerald Cut, E color, VVS2 diamond. The ultimate goal is for your fiancé to LOVE the ring they're going to be wearing for the rest of their life and with Ara's help that is exactly what she got. High compliments to this jeweler. I already had an engagement ring and was interested in a wedding band with a very specific design, which I brought in. I had already visited a number of other jewelers but had small issues while working with the other jewelers. It was important to me that the wedding band sit flush with my engagement ring (specific height) but had a larger width than the band on the engagement ring. Ani and her family (it's a family business) were very accommodating and took very specific measurements off of my engagement ring to do their best to accomplish this. They chose gorgeous diamonds that would work size-wise for the above criteria. The other jewelers I worked with told me that it wasn't possible to made the design I had in mind and make it flush with the engagement ring. Icing On the Ring Delivered! It is PERFECT. It sits flush, and the diamonds they chose are bright and eye-catching. The wedding band was also priced very reasonably. I additionally had them take a look at a clasp on a pearl necklace, which they modified without charge. I will be coming back here for future jewelry needs. They create a quality product that is reasonably priced with great customer service.

She was so patient, warm, attentive, responsive, willing to answer my million questions, and most of all, I felt she was truly invested in the process and outcome. Man I had a fantastic experience at Icing on the Ring! I would say I'm a difficult client or particular at the very least. I had done my homework previously so Raffi and Vic had to put up with all of my questions and concerns. They answered everything I wanted to know, accommodated all of my requests, and gave great advice. Icing on the Ring had a fantastic selection of both mined and lab-grown diamonds as well as other precious gemstones (lab-grown pink sapphires, in my case). After seeing a variety of solitaire rings, I decided on a three stone ring and Vic's Custom Design Department took over. They created a stunning ring for me - exactly what I wanted and beyond my expectations. Their pricing is also VERY fair - believe me, I made sure to check - and transparent. Their prices were consistently better than those on rarecarat.com, for example and this coming from a full-retail store! Their office is beautiful, clean, and serene yet the energy of LA's Diamond District is there in spades. Thanks guys!

I am forever grateful for this place. After weeks of ring shopping everywhere (both online and in person), I was able to pick the perfect engagement ring here at Icing On The Ring. I'll start with the service and hospitality - Ara helped me and my fiance out. He (and everyone there) were patient, honest, and not too pushy at all. Answered every question that we had. Though traditionally given to married women only, I knew that my girlfriend (now fiancée) wanted a traditional Indian Mangalorean Vanki v-shaped ring, so I custom designed it as an engagement ring. Those are extremely difficult to find in the US, especially as an engagement ring and when there is a tight time frame around Thanksgiving. This meant, I had to do a custom engagement ring and a custom wedding band to fit on a rush. Though I had a design in mind, I was nervous with how it would come out. Vic at Icing On The Ring took away all of my worries, and made a beautiful, well-made ring in only a couple weeks. I’m so glad I chose to go with Vic after having shopped around. This was the best decision I made, especially considering that I’ve never seen people complement a ring as much as they do this one. We could not be happier. My fiance and I went to Icing On the Ring shortly before COVID hit just to look at rings. Ani took great care of us, never made us feel pressured, and spent plenty of time helping me figure out what I wanted in my engagement ring. I went to numerous jewelry stores in downtown before Icing On the Ring and I wish I would have gone there first. I already had the center diamond for an engagement ring and my fiance and I went to Icing hoping to find a good setting. There were plenty of gorgeous rings but she had a hard time choosing one she loved the best. The solution: with the help of Vic, we had a custom setting made with a combination of different features and this turned out to be her dream ring. Vic estimated 3 weeks for the final ring, it literally took less than 2. They sent us a computer rendering of the custom ring, then created a wax model, then cast the final ring and set all the stones. The craftsmanship was top notch, customer service was unbeatable, and the final ring was perfect... not to mention half the cost of similar rings at other jewelers. I highly recommend.

I reached out to Vic at Icing On The Ring for a custom made wedding band to match my heart-shaped engagement ring. I live in the Greater New York City area, but I shipped my ring all the way to LA because I trust Vic and his team. I sent a very rough sketch of what I wanted, and they captured the essence of what I envisioned on their first try. The nested wedding band they created gives my ring a strong presence on my finger. My husband loves it too. He says, "guys can see that you're married from a mile away." It's true, but the ring is still very dainty and timeless. I love the design, and my husband loved the price. This is the best jewelry creator in the Diamond District. Save yourself the time and go straight here. I came to pick out an engagement ring for my now fiancee. I already had a family diamond, and Icing on the Ring was more than happy to create a custom piece that perfectly accentuated the diamond I already had. The best part, however, was that the customer service was wonderful. I had been to a shop earlier where the employees were telling me exactly what I needed and were very pushy to sell me on a specific band. I can't state enough what a positive experience we had at Icing on the Ring. My partner and I booked an appointment to look at engagement rings. We had the store to ourselves and our sales consultant, Ani was incredibly attentive, patient, and knowledgeable. Icing on the Ring is a family run business that wants repeat customers. They want you to have a great experience with them. I have to say, the family that runs this place is top notch. They are all super nice, sweet people that genuinely care about providing excellent service as well as the highest quality of products. They made accommodations to make sure I was very happy with the finished product. They are definitely my trusted source for diamonds in Los Angeles and I have recommended a few friends that have been happy as well.

I am so glad we chose this place to buy a rings back in 2010. What a wonderfully owned family business. Let me tell you ....one of the diamonds fell out of my main engagement ring and they repaired it for free a year later. We did end up finding the diamond in our family room a year later and brought it back to them but I cannot tell you how wonderful and professional they are... no questions asked. We bring the ring back year after year for cleanings and this year 2023 they repaired the bands because the white gold was coming off again free of charge. As a Los Angeles native I so appreciate the reputation of this business and I hope everybody makes the same smart choice we did.

My fiancée and I had a custom ring done by Vic in August. I was pretty particular about the dimensions of the ring and they beautifully met all of our requests with the design. I must have been swollen for sizing that day and we needed resizing just a week after production. They were able to resize my ring in 3 days before I went on a long trip. I’m very happy that I got to take my beautiful ring with me to show our family/friends. They even curbside delivered the ring to me as they knew I was on my way to make a flight. Icing was recommended to me by a friend. I came to Icing to choose an engagement ring and worked with Ani. I was super indecisive and had a lot of trouble choosing a ring and came back multiple times trying to decide. I spent hours and hours at Icing trying to choose the right ring for me. They have so many settings options on their website, the choice of mined and lab created diamonds and moissanites - they do it all! I worked with them remotely, they offer online appointments now where they answer all your questions, show different ring styles etc. They shipped the ring to Pennsylvania and that’s the best mail I’ve ever received. This place is great!!! I got married in August 2022. My sister had referred me to Icing on the Ring for our wedding rings. She had gotten the rings for her wedding from the same place 8 years earlier and loved it. When I called, I set up a meeting with Ani, who was super nice and accommodating, especially given that we were on a bit of time crunch. She was incredibly helpful in assisting us to the find the perfect rings for our big day. Their rings are beautiful and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend!

We love going here. We have purchased over and over for 30 years. We have bought standard as well as custom made sets. We find the owners to be super easy to work with. They have a little sitting area for when the kids come. And best of all they sell moissanite stones. Why bother spending insane amounts of money when it goes to debeers due to their marketing of diamonds? WHY not get engineered stones? Only a jeweler can tell the difference

They were in no way pushy for me to get the priciest ring, took plenty of time to answer all my questions, and had a nice variety of stones to choose from. Would highly recommend.

Really easy appointment system on Yelp. I had a question about availability of yellow diamonds and asked on Yelp and they answered. When we got to the building, we used the elevator to get to the store. Ani was such great help answering all my concerns and questions. I definitely will come back for my jewelry needs.
