The service here is not like how it used to be when it was Smile Workshop. First, we had to wait a good half an hour before we were called back to be seen. Second, the communication amongst the dentist and office staff is horrible. The dentist did not inform the hygienist about what needed to be done, so we ended having to wait even longer, just to have the dental assistant finish what the hygienist was supposed to do. Then, I told the assistant that we needed an excuse for school and did not receive it. I called the next day and ask the office staff if they could either fax, email, or send me a picture of the excuse so that the attendance office could have it. With advanced as technology is, the front office lady said that I would have to go in and pick up the excuse that THEY forgot to give us. This office needs to get it's act together and improve on their communication and custom service, especially if they are the one's causing their customers an inconvenience. Get with the program people. There are plenty of dental offices in the area that will do whatever they can for their customers, especially if they made a mistake. It's the small things that matter to customers, even if it doesn't seem like it does.

Ever since their old staff left I haven't enjoyed this place or the way the new front office seems to 'handle' things. I hate to say it but their lead lady Savannah seems inconsiderate at times saying "it's not me, it's the office rules". Her tone makes it seem like I'm a nuisance? I swear I'm not THAT PERSON that complains about everything, but I feel like I have to have a defense wall up every time. I would of given it a 1-Star but I love their Dentist, she's so sweet and compassionate, not to mention their dental assistants are nice and listen to your needs. For that, I'll give another star making it 2-Star. Also FYI, they give ppl discounts IF they give a 5-Star great review... I wouldnt trust all the great reviews because of this.

My wife and I visited the Smile Workshop today and we are very grateful we found a dentist and staff that made us feel welcomed and relaxed. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist. The staff in the back from the x ray tech and dental hygienist were also very welcoming, friendly, and professional. Dr. Gonzalez took the time to examine my teeth go, over the x rays, and his treatment recommendation. My wife felt the same way too. The billing lady went over the treatment options again and the costs were very reasonable. I also liked the fact that this office is quiet and not noisy like other dental offices that cater to children. We will certainly return to Dr. Gonzalez and the Smile Workshop at Sea World for our dental needs.

My son had a Great experience here today after he had such a bad experience at Riverwalk Dental earlier in the month. He went in for his regular cleaning and he just transferred from another Ideal Dental in another city. I tried to find a closer dentist to his area because all the Ideal Dental were a it far. What a mistake that was with the other dental practice. I wish I just originally sent him to Ideal Dental from the beginning. The Dentist at Ideal Dental said his teeth were healthy and when my son told him what they told him at the other dental location, he was very surprised by what they told him and what they tried to charge him. He will return to this location for sure.

I always have a great experience at Smile Workshop. Between my 3 children, I feel like I'm always there. Marina, Junior, and Dr Gonzales are fantastic at what they do. Update 10/12/2021: I received a text to leave a review, again. Still great service. 4/18/2022 Today's appointment was such a pleasurable experience, Aaron, at the front seat was friendly, welcomimg and answered my barrage of questions with expertise and a smile. Ricardo, is so great with children, very personable and made my daughter's comfortable. Lawrence took the x-ray's and absolutely was great.

The front office staff are always professional and kind. However, please insist on speaking to the surgeon at any time if you think you need to. We were made to wait a whole month before seeing them again, which compromised our ability to recuperate. They will not provide you with the extra care or instructions you might need after oral surgery and I sincerely wish I would’ve gone somewhere with the ability to take care of us how we needed to. This is a great place for regular cleanings, but be careful in choosing if you’re needing other procedures.

Although there have been many changes at this office/location, I'd like to give huge kudos to Savannah and Sonny for their wonderful customer service. They continuously go over and beyond to fulfill my requests. They continously aim to please their clients at their office at any given time. They also provide other recommendations to provide the perfect service that you are in need of. The key to a great office is their customer service and making their clients feel important along with providing a wonderful experience each time.

This is my second time at this location. Staff have been consistently very kind, friendly, and professional. My hygienist, Stephanie made sure I was comfortable and well informed. The dentist, Nina also made sure that I understood what she was saying and went above and beyond to find out what was causing my cavities and how we might help. The only reason this is a 4 star visit rather than 5 is because based on my experiences elsewhere, it did not seem like my cleaning was quite as thorough (though not bad by any means).

My father lost his dentures and Smiles Dental was able to see him the following day. We encountered a small glitch in the system with his insurance company. They were very helpful in contacting the insurance company and still able to see him that same day. The doctor is very good and concerned with her patients health. She is great with geriatric patients as my father is 88 years young. The staff is very friendly and Savannah has been a great help. I recommend this place to anyone, they see kids and adults.

I brought my daughter to Ideal Dental at Westover Hills for a filling procedure. The receptionist was very welcoming and Salvador the dental assistant was nice and prepared my daughter for her procedure in a very professional manner. Dr. G was also very proficient and gentle throughout the procedure. My 4 year old didn’t cry at all which is surprising, because she usually cries at other dentist offices that we’ve been to in the past. Overall, great service and everyone at the office was welcoming.

I was nervous to go and they made me feel comfortable and ok like I was in good hands. Very professional giving you options and time to think and talk about them amongst yourself and spouse. The whole staff is So caring and kind from the time you walk in, in the front, back, and out again. I’m glad I chose ideal dental, and now feel way more better to come back. I would recommend this place to all my coworkers as well. Thank everyone for helping me and letting my partner be with me through it all.

When you have free whitening posted all over the office, it's something that should be honored. I asked about the free whitening and was told they will no longer be offering it. I said you guys still have the signs up. They just told me $30 for a syringe. No customer service skills or anything. Take it or leave it attitude. That office female at the front desk needs restraining with her attitude. The free services should still be honored as long as the signs are still posted offering it. Horrible

Everyone at Smile Workshop are friendly and polite. The staff always have a beautiful smile when you walk into the waiting room. All of the staff are awesome and very helpful. Dr. Gonzales is a fantastic dentist. He has excellent chair side manners and he is never in a rush to do your dental work I drive two hour to San Antonio, when I need to have my dentures readjusted. Plus, Smile Workshop is opened every other Saturday so after the dental visit I get to do a little shopping and site seeing.

I don't usually leave reviews at places but after today I just wanted to make sure I highlighted that. Today was a great overall experience. Dr. Priscilla was extremely helpful and very informative about my upcoming procedures. I felt super welcomed by her and the staff here as well. If you are looking for a great dentist location, I would really recommend you coming to this place. Everyone was so kind, transparent, and genuine. Smile Workshop is the best place to go. I did not have any type of difficult with Dr. Gonzalez and his staff they did an incredible job. I have had 2 build ups, fillings, and teeth cleaning with no issues. They have amazing customer service they explain everything to you in detail. They don’t make it feel like a transaction. Where do I start!! My son has been coming here since be was 2 and he's 11 now!! It's under me management and name now. I called at 8am with a broken tooth and they were able to get me in at 10am. I was in so much pain. From the front desk to Dr.Halsman and Priscilla the moment I walked in I felt at home. The urgency to get me away from the pain was so appreciated. They all took so good care of me and I couldn't have asked for better. Thank you to everyone for helping me so quickly.

Where do i start … we were new patients and my daughter was coming in for a cleaning and to get cavity’s filled. From the assistant , to hygienist Josh , and Dr cano i was impressed with everyone! Super fun and kid friendly which was super important to me. I loved how they were interacting with my daughter and making her feel super at ease. They answered any questions/concerns i had. The young lady at front desk was very empathetic and curious. She worked hard on all the issues with my insurance. I was in a great deal of pain and I needed dental office to do a root canal ASAP. I had a wonderful experience with Smile Workshop. Fantastic customer service, very thorough cleaning and fairly quick and extremely efficient with the fillings I required. The staff are very friendly and have excellent bedside manner. I had to bring my 2 toddlers and the staff there were very patient when they through a fit in the middle of my cleaning and had to pause my cleaning to calm them. I would absolutely recommend this facility!

I have finally found a dentist office that I will stick with. Dr. Ginoyan is very friendly and professional. He was very thorough during my appointment and came up with a great treatment plan that didn't feel rushed. I really hope he stays at this location for a long time. The professionals at the Smile Workshop are the absolute best! The front desk receptionist was so nice and welcoming and helped me with some insurance issues, the hygienist and assistants were sweet and kid friendly with my 2 young kids, they made them feel happy to be at the dentist! Never made it past reception. For some reason my insurance pulled up old information even though my card clearly showed updated info. The lady who showed me the out of date information never even introduced herself but was very stand office and rude like she didn't even believe I had insurance and was judging me based on my appearance. She claimed it was being "bubbly". Not going back here.

Patient and Attentive - The staff at Ideal Dental Westover Hills is patient and attentive. They take the time to ask questions and wait for responses. The staff is also full of smiling faces and positive energy. I am never comfortable going to or being at the dentist office, but Ideal Dental Westover Hills does their best to make the experience a comfortable and pleasant one.

Ideal Dental is a great place to start my advanced dental repair. Not only is it affordable, I am an informed participant in the decision making process for my continued dental care. Everyone is professional and really nice! Check out the new flavors in fluoride treatment; orange and cream is my favorite. It tastes like the orange and vanilla ice cream popsicle!

My daughter is going here for her braces and the staff has been awesome. The clinical side has explained the process each time we go in. Which we return monthly for changing brackets and wires. Then on 2/4 I became a patient had my routine cleaning and had a tooth extracted. The Dr, hygienist and all assistants were nice and helpful. Not one bad experience.

I’ve been looking for a new dentist for a little while now. And I think I found them! The front desk was great with customer services and answered all my questions accordingly. They helped me with my treatment plan and got everything scheduled right then and there. I had no problems or issues. Everyone was so thorough. I will definitely be returning.

Brought my 3 year old and 1 year old here, and all of the staff were so patient and good with the kids! There's a side room in the waiting area for kids, as well as a separate cinema room that we will definitely utilize as the kids get older. Dr. Haltom and the rest of the staff did a great job explaining to our kids everything that was happening.

My first time at Ideal Dental Clinic, felt very welcomed by their professional staff. The x-ray technician explained everything as she took pictures of my teeth. First off I want to say WOW! I walked in to make an appointment and Savannah asked me if I have time today and they took me in right as a walk in. Sonny Lagos and the entire team took great care of me and did my cleaning the same day and were able to help me on a plan to get my cracked filling taken care of. Thank you guys y'all were great!

I went in for a cleaning and they started talking about invisalign right away, even though they said it would not make a noticeable difference. They then tried to charge me $2500 for a partial deep cleaning. A procedure I ended having done else where for under $200. This place seems more like a business than a medical office.

I love this location. The dentist is excellent. She listens to your concerns, she explains everything thoroughly. She cares of you as a person not just as a patient. I have always received great customer service and I have always been able to get appointments when needed. I highly recommend this dental practice for your needs

Been going here for years, the actual work being done is good, but I can’t take the long wait time. All of my appointments are during the work week and I don’t appreciate taking off two hours every time I have an appointment. If I arrive before my appointment time, I don’t expect the be attended to 40 minutes after arriving.

I'm very pleased with the care and concern for my granddaughter Lily. the x-ray, exam, cleaning and sealants went very well. My only concern was seeing a woman at the lobby without a mask. She was there waiting for her husband and did not seem to draw any objection from staff.

We need fast emergency care. They were able to get us in quickly. Explained what we could expect on the treatment timeline because we needed a prior authorization for the treatment. Overall we are so happy we found them and we believe we are in great hands.
