A good place when you're on holiday on a budget. For a weekend getaway with the family we paid a lot less than what we would have paid in the more upmarket places. Very close to the beach and walking distance to uShaka Marine. Its fairly easy to travel from when your trying to get to popular land mark sites like the Moses Mabhida stadium etc. The actual flat itself was ok, again relative to what I paid I cant complain much. The old adage you get what you pay for applies here. Staff where helpful and made my stay comfortable. My concern with the place is its location. They unfortunately cannot do anything about it but its very dodgy and saw one or two unsavory activities taking place. Left the flat never having seen a single roach. There were a couple of things regards maintenance that could be improved purely by getting someone to supervise after the cleaning staff. It would seem though that they are in the process of renovating the place so I will hold further comment until thats complete and let the images attached speak for themselves...On the whole a good experience.

The place was welcoming at first, however they charge you by judgement and not according to their prices. We were overcharged. You are also charged for parking in the flat yet get told that parking is at your own risk? Why charge me to look after my own car? They don't have a lot of kitchen necessities and when you ask the housekeeping, you then get attitude. Not all housekeeping ladies were bad, a few were friendly. Including 1 - 2 of the security and grounds keepers. However, the housekeeping is dishonest. We moved rooms and my younger brother forgot his anxiety bracelets in one room. Upon asking housekeeping and reception, no one knew anything. They were taken. There are also cockroaches in the rooms. The microwave in the apartment was rusted and unsafe to use.

I went with 5 of my friends, 4 of us had beds in 2 bedrooms, the other two had their "beds" in the lounge which were also meant to be used as couches. We were never given a heads up about the matter so it was pretty uncomfortable especially because they couldn't have their privacy protected. The sheets had stains on them so it was pretty disgusting. The place had cockroaches and most of the kitchen utensils were not enough for the 6 of us so they clearly didn't plan for our stay properly. And then the lift would stop working on certain days and we'd have to take the stairs to the 10th floor. It's close to the beach and meter taxis so that's a great thing, so if you want cheap accommodation go for impala but also await the low service that comes ahead.

The place needs serious renovations, I understand its reasonable in price but still. Taps make squeeky noise, our bathroom sink tap for hot water wasnt working, toilet had black dirt line around inside very disturbing to see that everytime you use the toilet, water took forever to come out the bath after bathing, that was very frustrating as we were a group wanted to bath one after the other....TV wasnt working properly very teary ended up not watching it at all...in the kitchen no salad bowl for making salad... and most of all i couldnt believe it....NO MICROWAVE... guys come on in 2017 really!!...and then the lift also not stopping on all the floors, that wasn't ayoba at all... if you can improve on all that, ill come back anytime....

I can't even give them a 1 star why does this place even exist, I have never been so disgusted in my life it even smells like a grannies place with lot of cats. Ain't there any standards for places where people rent. Their old tv doesn't even show clear pictures it's like they're still using antenna in the 21st century like really Even the pipes are leaking it's just a mess. There was even blood on the floor it's like they don't even clean after people leave. Even cockroaches can't survive in this place, it's a way too low standard 4 them. Please note I didn't even mean to give u a star I just had to give that star to post.

Self catering, self cleaning Flats. On 2 occasions after coming back from the beach we had to clean the flat ourselves. The 2 times the cleaner did came in there she came and went with a dry mop. Toilet was leaking and couldn't flush properly. The roaches was all over the place and we couldn't even use the oven. We were 6 people and only got 4 towels every time. Some of our stuff even got stolen. Forgot a watch, emailed 30min after checkout and the lady tells us that nothing was left behind. Won't ever go back there. Don't even deserve a star

Not a very pleasent experience, the place was crawling with cockroaches and the pictures are very deciving and misleading, so called self catering taken to anotherblevel, with no mop or broom, let alone sunlight liquid to wash up after yourself. They are very money driven and not service orientated to the patrons, any little thing is a charge....really! Music bangs till all hours of the morning from the shebeen across the road, sleeping is not an option, you dont feel safe walking to the shops...drug miss use is done frewly in the open across the road. NEVER WILL I VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND IT!!

I booked 2 rooms but when i arrived there i was extremely disappointed with regards to the condition of the apartments and surrounding area. Please do not trust the pictures on their website . The place needs to be revamped. The street that it is located on is very dodgy. Please ensure that you make proper enquiries with regards to that place or even ask someone who lives close to that accommodation to check it out first. With me saying a mouth full I must say that the staff there are very friendly reasonable and understanding. We eventually got our deposit and had to find alternative accommodation

If you in a hurry and just want a place to sleep come here. If you don't mind sharing a room, shower and bed with cochroaches then come. If u not affected by rusty surfaces, broken cupboards, crack in walls and dirt please feel welcome. I have never seen a place this bad and I travel for a living. Durban was hot and my room fan was not working and yes I know how to use it. No AC, and when I left the window open a mosquito came in and buzzed throughout the night. No DSTV or Internet, one have to go down to reception to access the Internet. Is this 2021?

1st and last time checking in to the place, their furniture, kitchen and bathroom looks like it's from ancient history, since the building was constructed maintenance it's not done, but only painting of walls. it's a dull place. if there was rating of zero I would have done so. 000000000000000000000000000000000 The sad part is that you came for a holiday, but end up being depressed by the building which makes you feel like going back home.

The place is cheap and good for the family. The receptionist and securities where amazing too. Then some of the cleaning stuff where okay until the last day when our car got broken and I left my kids in the hotel to attend it quick and I was an hour late from check out, I found my kids kicked out like dogs standing in the rain . They told me one cleaner told them to take their things out. I was very disappointed. Talk less of the cockroaches. They are all over the place. Really disappointed.

So I went there last week with a friend of mine and her family and I have to admit it was horrible . For starters there's cockroaches everywhere.. the lift is always full of people arriving and leaving which means we had to use the stairs to get to the 9th floor.. the place smells like mould ... the sheets weren't clean .. the towels in the bathroom were not clean . What you see on the Internet is not always true . It's really terrible . I wouldn't recommend it to anyone .

I was there this weekend the receptionist was an Indian lady she was rude. I paid her and after a few hours she claimed I ddnt give her all the money but she gave me the keys. It's either she stole the money or misplaced it. The blankets were not clean told them but the ddnt do anything about it. I slept there before their service was great but this time am totally disappointed. I won't recommend it to someone else

Awesome budget accommodation. I always enjoy my stay and always feel safe as the security cautions the visitors to take care of themselves and valuables when leaving the premises. NB. Management please revisit the noise policy as it's not implemented. I complained several times during my stay and the noise level was unbearable. However keep up the good service.

Nice place if you want a budgeted holiday and especially if you a family. Went there recently after almost 10yrs, and once again welcomed by cockroaches, the kitchen cupboards smelling bad we didnt even want to put our food in there. We got some poison for our "pets" and all was well after that. I would still recommend the place its affordable.

I was very dissatisfied with the TV channels.No sport channels or DStv news. The only positive thing was the lady who was doing the house keeping for us,she deserves a pat at the back. Room number 1010 is good but you should take care of the level of the noise from groups as they don't respect the rest of the residents and cockroaches.

I was in Durban in December 2018 & return back on 4th of January 2019. Really it was my first time to book a standard room. It was not so bad as other people might think. R1400 for 5 people per night very reasonable. Durban vibe hoooo fantastic, at beach front on the 31st. I started saving again.

Wow.great value for money. Revamp has done wonders to this place, cleaning staff friendly. Spacious rooms. Rooms clean..close to everything, beach, shops, ushaka..Will definitely come back.please install cctv on all floors..saw someone in the early hours of the morning trying to force open doors.

thank you Impala holiday flats for accommodating me and my family, we really enjoyed our stay but you could do a bit of improvement in the building. the lifts were not working properly and i suggest all the units to have microwaves. otherwise everything was Lekker definitely coming back again.

Would be a great place if they would knock at the door before walking in. Invaded our privacy numerous times.

Thr place is very dirty. They even failed to give us another toilet paper when ours was finished. They did not change the sheet we used the same sheet for 3 nights. The toilet was smelling. There was no mop i would never ever go there again.

The hotel is user friendly, it's close to almost everything you need as a tourist and the staff is friendly. However, there's a lot of cockroaches, the place needs fumigation and thorough cleaning.
