The representatives who organized the move were great, but unfortunately we had a terrible experience with the particular crew that came out to handle our move which was different from the crew I see in photos in a number of the reviews. Over the years we have moved several times with different moving companies and this was the only negative experience we’ve ever had. The crew “leader” was rude and menacing, wouldn’t stop talking about the minimum 20% tip we had to give him. We had several walls, moldings, and pieces of furniture damaged during the move and a number of items (large items) were left behind in the house we moved out of. Ended up getting charged roughly $600 extra for materials, however, when we were unpacking found that a a lot of the boxes were practically empty with only one or two items inside. None of the items packed by the movers were fragile. We had moved all fragile items ourselves to the new house over a week before the movers came to move the rest of the things out of the old house. We definitely paid more than we should have for this move. We thought the higher cost would translate to a smoother and stress free move, but this was not the case. In hindsight, I wish I would’ve paid closer attention to the reviews and try to request “Doc’s” crew. According to the reviews he seems great.

They navigated tight corners and stairs like pros, all while keeping the energy high. ️ No Damage: I've got some pieces of furniture that are near and dear to my heart, and they made it to the new place in perfect condition. Not a scratch, not a dent. Transparent Costs: Now, this was the cherry on top. Not only were they upfront about all the costs, but my final bill actually came in LOWER than the initial quote. That's unheard of in the moving industry! If you're looking for a moving company that ticks all the boxes, look no further. Imperial Moving & Storage is the real deal. I'll never use another moving company again.

Sales Manager Mario at Imperial Moving and Storage assessed my move and priced me at a fair rate. He was understanding, patient and honest. I was skeptical at first but he reassured me a fair rate with no additional charges as long as my items were as specified in the list. He was able to lock in a price I could afford and provided additional services as a courtesy. The three guys he sent to move me were fast, efficient, reliable and professional. All of my items were packed and moved with care. They disassembled my furniture and reassembled them back properly. They arrived on time and did not procrastinate. Imperial provides exceptional service. You should book them if you want great rates and professionalism.

Doctor ran a great move for us for the second time! Even torrential downpours didn't get him and his team down. They had a smile on their face the whole time even with clients who weren't prepared and indecisive (that's us). I couldn't reccomend this team more! They moved our very antique grandfather clock and at no point did I have any concerns about it arriving in one piece. Doctor was very knowledgeable about how the clock worked and was assembled. Included in the move was the disassembly and reassembly of all of our furniture which is worth it on its own. Doctors team got everything in the right place for us (and even checked and moved a couple things that made their way to the wrong room).

I can’t say enough positive things about this experience. The work was completed in such an efficient manner, and with such care, that nothing was broken, nothing was scratched or damaged, and everything received an additional layer of protection from the rain (plastic wrap). The kindness and professionalism extended by every member of the team, the movers, the office manager, and supporting staff, was impeccable. Prompt responses and communication, incredibly efficient moving despite heavy rain and traffic. The levels of professionalism, speed and care are unmatched. Thank you for making what is normally a really stressful experience, an extremely positive one.

The initial set-up with Kristin was seamless and very easy. On the day of the move from Manhattan to rural Maryland, Doctor and his two colleagues arrived punctually and put us at ease with their professional and careful packing-up of the furniture. After a 4h ride in the large truck, everything arrived safely and undamaged.Very, very hard working - for example maneuvering a king size mattress up a narrow stairwell, Doctor and his colleague always smiled and got the job done. This was my second time using Imperial Moving and Storage. Everyone from Mike at the front desk, to the 2 man moving crew are what has made them my first choice for future moves. They communicated with me every step of the way, protected my belongings, and made a stressful time worry free. Both of my moves were from and to major cities, but the traffic and obstacles getting around the city did not deter them. Doctor and his team were professional, and extremely careful. I had an antique desk that needed to be moved. It is a custom made desk that comes apart like a jigsaw puzzle and it is very heavy. On top of that, the freight elevator went out so they had to move it the old fashion way, the stairs. Doctor and his team showed tremendous amount of care and got the job done!
