I hired these guys for an overnight move from Lakeview to Wicker Park. Manny, the representative with whom I spoke, was professional and reassuring. For an overnight move, you're essentially paying for two moves, as there's a minimum of 3 hours charge per day, as well as an overnight storage fee (which I assume pays for keeping the truck for a full day). I mention this fact to inform, but not as a strike against these guys as pretty much every company we called who offered overnight moves did the same in one way or another, and In & Out was the least expensive of all of them. We scheduled a pickup of 2-4pm and a dropoff the next day for 7-8am (the times are for when they should show up, not necessarily to cover the whole portion of the move). On the day before the move, I received a call from someone to confirm the times as well as the pickup and drop-off addresses. Unfortunately the next morning, I received a call from someone at the company asking if we could possibily move the date back by one day. I would have loved to so as to not pay for a second move, but it absolutely wasn't possible as the next tenant would be moving into my old apartment first thing in the morning. The representative assured me that it was alright, just that the movers would be a couple hours late. I called later that evening to check the ETA. While my call went to voicemail (on which I'd hung up), Manny called back a few minutes later and confirmed that the movers would definitely be there a couple hours after the scheduled time. The movers, led by Julio, showed up at exactly 6pm (sort of "on time" according to the rescheduled time). They were efficient, friendly and professional. While starting out the paperwork, Julio informed me that the 8am dropoff was getting pushed back to 1pm-3pm. I didn't ask, but I assume this had to do with the scheduling issue from the day before. I told him that was fine and the guys got to work. Julio did an excellent job of wrapping our furniture, and tagging and documenting everything to make sure everything could be tracked while in their possession. The other two guys (unfortunately, I didn't get their names) made the trips down the stairs and to the truck efficiently. The whole pickup of our two-bedroom apartment, including wrapping tables, chairs, and the bed, paperwork, and three flights of stairs, took just under three hours! The next day, the guys showed up at our new apartment at about 3pm. Julio was in charge, with two other guys, one of whom helped load the truck the night before. Again, the guys were very professional and fast. They unloaded the whole truck into our new first-floor apartment in about an hour or so, which included unwrapping our furniture and putting our bed back together. The guys were happy to put our things in whatever room we asked and they took great care to ensure everything was unharmed along the way. Overall, I feel these guys did an excellent job. The movers were honest and professional. The people at the office were also helpful and professional. My only issue was the scheduling. As I understand it can be difficult to schedule correctly, as some customers may misreport how much they have to move. This wasn't explained to me as an excuse or anything, just something Julio mentioned in passing while wrapping my stuff. Nonetheless, I need to knock a star off for the scheduling issues, but otherwise, I'd highly recommend these guys to anyone asking.
I had confirmed just a few days earlier that 3 movers would arrive by 8:30 since the $250 elevator was only available between 9 and 11. 1. They were supposed to show up between 8 and 9am, so at 9 I called In & Out and Ellie answered. She said the movers had already arrived so we needed to wait a few minutes for them to arrive on my floor. 2. At 9:15, I called Ellie again who stated that the movers were on their way and would be there in 10 minutes. I asked her why she told me they had already arrived to which she responded that I made up the story. 3. At 9:30, I again called Ellie who said she would check with them, but said I should call the movers myself. She gave me the number and quickly disconnected. 4. I had to call the movers to find out they would not be there for another 20 minutes. 5. Two movers arrived at 9:50 so I called Ellie again and asked to speak with a manager. Carlos answered and said the guy that was supposed to be on my job was killed in a warehouse fire that day. I said that it was obviously awful, but wanted to know when a substitute would arrive since two movers would take so much longer and thus cost me more than the 3 would have. He said a substitute would not be coming and if I didn't like it, I could cancel the move. Obviously this was not an option. I had to pay for another time block for the elevator because they were late and did not bring the appropriate resources. 6. The two movers were good, but there is only so much they can do when the bottleneck is the elevator and how quickly it is loaded and unloaded. 7. Carlos the manager showed up and helped move the couch and in doing so gashed a corner, scuffed the ceiling, and banged into a halogen light which subsequently caught fire. 8. The rest of the actual move was uneventful, but when it came time to pay, I was charged for five wardrobe boxes that I was quoted to get for free. 9. I was charged 40 for tape that I was told was part of the price of the move. 10. We had an emergency come up but the movers would not leave without the credit card confirmation coming from Carlos. So we called Carlos every 5 minutes for 35 minutes until he finally put through the charge. 11. Carlos' manager, Ariel, called me the following day because In & Out made an internal mistake and charged my order through their Boston operation and not the Chicago operation. He asked how the move went and I told him horribly to which he said, well, I can take off $80. The move was a full $250 more than expected from the hourly perspective, not to mention the extra $250 I had to pay for another 2 hours for the elevator.
Before the Move: Pleasant phone manners , so far so good. The day of the move: Didn't show up on time ( my friends tell me this happens so I was prepared) I called an hour after the expected time of arrival, the company mentioned they had the wrong time, and the wrong date. They accommodated and said they could have someone in two hours. Two hours come and go no call, I call again, the manager stated that the movers got in an accident, and are on their way. 2 more hours go by, and they still hadn't arrived. I called to cancel, the company said they were down the street. ( NO CALLS INITIATED BY COMPANY... THIS IS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE). Arrival; 5:30. Yes they came with 4 movers as promised . 1 blazed, one a high school kid, one guy who seemed to be rather competent, but I never saw him moving stuff as I was on my floor literally moving boxes as everything seemed to require intensive collaboration due to a generalized inability to understand that as I was moving, everything was coming OUT of my apartment. Highlights of move: **STONED MANAGER AND INEXPERIENCED CREW ** BROKEN COUCH DUE TO INEXPERIENCED LIFTING - BY MANAGER IN FRONT OF MY EYES- the move took a lot longer than I thought, 4.5 hours, and I actually had to move plenty of boxes myself. POST MOVE- 1 month in two days... No resolution, the company did not call me during this time, and when I called this week they told me they passed my claim to their outsourced company. They were non committal about allowing me to speak to the owner of the company, whom they informed me, is not located in Chicago. My goal is to get my moving cost refunded, my couch fixed, and my vanity mirror replaced. No communication, no initiation of quality assurance procedures have been initiated by this company. ** PROMISE BY THE MANAGER THAT MY COUCH WOULD BE FIXED ***the next day So a month later Sincerely, A dissatisfied customer PS... It is great to read these reviews, I really want to say that for editorial purposes I edited information. * Ellie was great WHEN I CALLED HER * CARLOS WAS GREAT WHEN I CALLED HIM * THE COMPANY GOT MY MONEY *THE COMPANY DID NOT RESOLVE ANY ISSUES TO MY SATISFACTION *I KNOW THINGS HAPPEN BUT THERE HAS BEEN NO ADEQUATE RESOLUTION.
We booked this company to move us a month in advance. We were given a 1 to 3 PM window. 3 PM comes. We call the movers and we're told that they had a job that was taking longer than expected; they would be wrapping up soon. A couple more hours go by. We call back around 5 now. Same story. They state that they would still be able to move us that day. It's 8 PM now. I call them again. The driver says he is on his way and it would be 25 minutes. 40 minutes later he calls and says he picked up another guy so that they can get this done quicker. The movers show and I spot a total of 3 guys (which is the number of movers displayed on our quote). I explain that our carport is open and that it would be easier for them if they moved out back. I then direct them on how to get into the alley. 20 minutes later, no moving truck. I call the driver and he hangs up immediately. Then I receive a text that says "Call the office tomorrow cuz where not the job today" (copy paste of text). I try to call him and no answer. I text him, no reply. So here we are 6 and a half hours past our window. I call dispatch and have a supervisor paged. The supervisor calls me and indicates that the driver hit a car trying to get into this alley. He tells me that he can look at the schedule tomorrow morning to see when they can get me in. I ask for a spot first thing, but was told that it wasn't possible. I ask why when I've been bumped all day without any guarantees. I rage and ask for my deposit back. This place does not deserve anyone's business. I'd rather be without movers entirely than give them a dime of my hard earned money. I could have earned more had I not taken off work today in order to move. Book with caution. UPDATE: We ended up using Dolly and were hooked up with some awesome movers, Dwayne and Aaron. They had their own truck and knocked out the move in under 2 hours with zero damage to our belongings. With a generous tip they were still half the cost of In and Out! So happy this horrible experience is behind us. I hope whomever reads this review takes it seriously and avoids this company at all costs. I would like for them to not continue to screw people over.
Save your $ and give your business to a different company. We liked the guys that came and physically did the moving and got along quite well. However, they used a quarter to a third of a role of tape on each item they taped up...which we paid for. Some of our stuff went missing and still hasn't turned up 4 months later. My wife's an editor and the movers damaged one of her computer monitors. We filed a claim...around 2 months ago now. Nothing. No follow up. My wife just ended up buying a new one. We initially booked them for 2 moves; one was out of our condo one day and the other was a move into our house the next day. Our move into the new house got delayed, which happens, I totally get that. However, there were no backup options other than us being inconvenienced. Our house move was pushed from the afternoon on our closing day to the morning of the next day. Then it was pushed to late morning. Then it was pushed to afternoon. We had a house with no furniture and were sleeping on an air mattress in sleeping bags...and this was AFTER paying $1000 for the first move alone. We told the powers that be that we had plans, that all of this was supposed to have been done already, that it was unacceptable...and we got "sorry let me see what I can do"...but nothing was ever done. In the end, we fired them for the second move. We shot ourselves in the foot because it became pretty much just me getting piece-meal moving done when I could, but at least we weren't handing a company we were furious with another grand. And so, to reiterate, it's been 4 months since our move and we still haven't gotten any kind of word about our claim for the damaged computer monitor and we're still missing random things...like a bluetooth speaker. Just...just don't give them your business. They don't display any respect or professionalism to the people that give them business.
ZERO STARS!! I’ve waited a couple weeks before leaving a review in hopes that Carlos (manager) would actually call back a very upset customer. However, since it’s been more than enough time I have to be completely honest with the TERRIBLE service I received from multiple people that work for this company! My set of movers were scheduled to arrive between 1-3pm, at 3:15pm I called and spoke with John, the rudest “message taker”(his words, not mine), and was told that he’ll let a manager know but could not promise me if the manager would call me back with an updated time within the hour. Shortly after, my father calls and gets a totally attitude from John and assured my father someone would reach out to him soon. Just after 4pm, we received a call and were updated the movers were on their way from Morton Grove – a max 60 minute drive away. The movers arrived at 8:30pm with a moving truck that still had items from a previous customer! After finally packing up the truck with most of my belongings at 11:30pm, they took off to my new house – a max 15 minute drive. However, they didn’t arrive until 12:30AM! I called after 30 minutes and was informed they needed to stop for gas! The driver was just as rude as everyone else I had to deal with. Although I was paying by the hour, there is no way I was going to pay for a gas break that took 45 minutes. Can you imagine having most of your belongings packed up in a truck and the truck disappears in the middle of the night? No call to update the situation. The entire experience was a NIGHTMARE. It took them 1 hour to unload; why did it take 3 hours to load? The next day it was discovered my 55” flat screen was damaged. Carlos has yet to respond to this. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND LOOK FOR ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY! READ THE REVIEWS BELOW FOR YOURSELF AND YOU CAN SEE THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT WORTH YOUR TIME!
After using In & Out Moving for my move on July 1, 2013, I would not recommend this moving company to anyone. Movers were scheduled to arrive between 1 - 3 pm. Additionally, the company had listed on my confirmation their awareness that I was only allowed to the use the elevator in my building until 5 pm. At 3:00 pm, I called the dispatcher to inquire about the location of my crew. The dispatcher indicated the crew was "close," but would not provide a specific location, and guesstimated they would arrive by 3:30 pm. At 3:30 pm, the crew still did not arrive and I called dispatch back. I spoke with an agent with considerable attitude who stated, "Didn't you speak with someone at 3 pm?". Annoying. Yes, I did. At which time the crew was late, and they have still not arrived. This same snotty agent stated they were "close," again refused to provide a location, and indicated they would be there "soon." Movers arrived at 4:20 pm. At this time, we had 40 minutes to clear out an apartment on the 22nd floor using one elevator. Long story short - we did not make it in time, and I had to spend 15 minutes in an altercation with the building security and management because I was using the elevator beyond my reservation. CONS: Moving crew arrived nearly 90 minutes late with no offering of compensation. Poor communication from dispatch to customer and moving crew). Movers lost and/or broke two items and did not disclose to me. Moving crew had to call into management to run the credit card, which took an additional 10-15 minutes. PROS: Actual moving crew worked VERY hard once they realized the time constraints (they were unaware of the elevator restrictions). I must say that I had a MUCH more positive experience with this company last year. Not sure if the company has changed within the past year, or if they simply don't handle adversity well.
We did not have a good experience with In and Out Moving. We needed kitchen cabinets and appliances moved. The couple we purchased them from had used In and Out Movers to move the kitchen into a storage space so we decided to use them as well. I called and scheduled the move with them three weeks ahead of time. The customer service worker who answered the phone told me she knew exactly what kitchen I was referring to. In and Out Movers gave us a window of 2:00-4:00. The movers showed up around 7:00. When they arrived we were told they hadn't anticipated moving the appliances and we could reschedule or pay for two moves. We needed the cabinets and had already waited for 5 hours, so had them move those. The crew worked hard and seem like nice guys. When I called the next day, they offered a small discount, and to schedule the rest of the move for first thing in the morning the following week.We agreed to this and thought things were resolved. The following day we were contacted and told that time and day was no longer possible. We were offered another afternoon slot or a morning time two weeks later. In the end, I needed to hire other movers to get everything moved. In and Out Moving cost us a lot of time and money, and we would not recommend them. They need to put a greater focus on customer service. As for your response, the information for what was in the move came from your own work order, as you moved these items into the space. The reason light was an issue was because you arrived three hours late, close to 7pm. We did reschedule. I set everything up, including time away from work, and then you backed out. Working with your customer even when things go wrong will prevent these types of reviews.
Let me start by saying that I’ve never left a negative review on the internet, ever. This was by far the worst moving experience I’ve ever had. My move was scheduled from 9-10. They arrived at 1. I had to call them to find out they were late. Carlos told me they were having truck problems but the kid at customer service said they over booked and were backed up with another job. This was confirmed by my moving crew who said that this company does this all the time, which often requires them to work until 1-3am. Carlos also stopped answering calls when I asked for a better idea of time to figure out where they’d park their truck and how we would handle the elevator, since they were so late another move had already gotten access. They didn’t wrap any of my furniture in moving blankets. They didn’t box any of my artwork. They didn’t put my boxes in the rooms they belonged in. When I asked if they were going to they told me they had another job to get to and that they wouldn’t be doing that. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. They couldn’t fit all my stuff on their truck (I had a ONE bedroom) and I had to take an Uber to my new apartment with what didn’t fit (along with my cat). They had a budget rental truck. They’ll tell you they provide wardrobe boxes but my clothes were all folded over each other and not hanging on the bar of a wardrobe box. They took lamps apart and didn’t put them back together. Overall a horrible experience and I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy. I’m shocked I actually had to pay money for this horrible experience. Moving is stressful enough - DO NOT waste your time with this company. Will likely be following this up with a letter to the IDFPR and better business bureau
** UPDATE ** Buyer beware! Since my review 3 months ago (Feb 2019), lots of 5-star reviews posted of dubious authenticity. Judge for yourself. Good job team but nobody’s fooled. ************** Avoid this company at all costs or it will cost you dearly. They crammed our stuff in their rented Budget truck and damaged numerous items in the process. It was truly shocking to see how awful the crew was at protecting and loading our stuff. This disaster unfolded before our eyes over the course of a nightmarish twelve hour day. They also dropped and completely shattered our wooden credenza and the crew even forgot about our mattress in the stairwell. We're now reminded of their ineptitude everyday when we look at our damaged sofa, dining room table, recliner, side tables, lamps and other items. This company is an absolute joke. After several frustrating exchanges with Carlos the manager (read other online reviews and you will see how frustrating dealing with this guy is) about our damages, we agreed to file a claim with their equally sorry third-party claims company to recover our damages. Of course, Carlos will remind you as many times as he can that his damages are limited to thirty cents per pound as noted in the contract you sign with his company. This is basically a contractual provision for his company to freely destroy your property. And destroy your property, they will. Several months later, we were notified that we would be compensated less than a $100. Are you kidding me? $100 won't even cover the cost to repair our torn up leather recliner. It is now my mission to share the story of my nightmare experience so it doesn't become yours. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!
The worst move I have ever had due to their incompetency. On moving day, the movers did not arrive, nor call between their 2-hour arrival window. 30 minutes after their arrival window ended, dispatch called me to say they couldn't move me that day!!!!! (I had arranged for a specific crew of 4 with piano moving experience since I had a small spinnet piano). They said they MIGHT be able to send another crew, but they'd have to leave the spinnet piano behind and not move it out until 2 days later! How am I supposed to leave my piano in an apartment that is no longer mine??? I moved 5 blocks. They estimated 3-4 hours move. My past moves which have been between further distance and with higher walk ups on both sides took 4 hours with crew of 3. This move was 7.5 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! with a crew of 4! They provided me with 1 professional mover, 1 okay mover, and 2 kids who didn't know what they were doing. Most of the time I just saw them sitting down on the steps of the basement talking on their cell phones...not moving or helping move AT ALL!! No wonder it took 7.5 hours, since only 1 or 2 of them were actually moving my stuff. Additionally when they moving truck arrived, it sideswiped a parked car, and did not leave a note or anything. The dispatch was one of the rudest people I've spoken to, and every time I opened my mouth, he talked over me and demanded I stop talking and just listen to him!!!!!!!! Unbelievable! Do not even come close to thinking about using this company. It's terrible.
This used to be a wonderful moving company until it came under new management a year or two ago. My third move with them was after the new management took effect. I was moving out of state and was confirmed to move on July 18-20th. I actually could not even reserve a move without discussing and selecting a move-in window with Sam. Because the company does not provide an exact move-in date/time, I was having major issues reserving elevators and was even charged a fee for moving out with too little notice. As I was discussing how to reserve an elevator for move in with Zoe, she tells me I am NOT confirmed to move the 18th-20th. She says the 17th (when I fly to Florida) begins a 10 day window for when my movers will arrive. I would have gotten to Florida and had to wait/ pay for hotels for 10 DAYS! this is certainly something they need to discuss with customers and I see another woman had the same issue as myself from a previous review. They do not tell you the actual move-in window. I had to pay $900 to actually reserve the 18th-20th even though I was promised this was my original move in-date. Communication is severely lacking and they did not discuss essential details about my move. In & Out: you need to disclose the move-in window with your customers. You cannot tell people they are confirmed for a weekend but then deliver their items 10 days later. As a former loyal customer, I am sad to say I will be finding a different moving company for the future.
This is my first time ever writing a review but I am SO angry with what happened that it warranted being posted on here so everyone can AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! Please heed my warning as I should have when I read all of the negative reviews on here originally. I had been speaking to a woman named Megan in the sales department for almost 2 months leading up to my move. She told me that my stuff was guaranteed to be delivered in 2 to 3 business days. I have this in writing from her. She understood that I would be starting a job a few days after my move date so would not be available to let the movers after that. About 7 days before the move, I called to ask for a more exact date of when my things would be arriving in Philadelphia based off of the pick up time. A man named Jonathan (the moving manager) called and said that my things would not get to my new building for 21 business days. I had originally been told that it was 2 to 3 days but he told me I had misunderstood and that I'd made all of this information up. He was one of the most rude people I've ever spoken to from the second he and I got on the phone. I cannot begin to describe how horrible this felt...I was days away from an out-of-state move and now I was being told that my stuff would not arrive until almost a month after pick up. Basically, in my experience this company is full of rude, shady, deceitful people. DO NOT HIRE THEM PLEASE!
Update - After my original review the management of In & Out Moving & Storage, reached out to me and agreed to reimburse part of the amount i was charged. They contacted me immediately after I posted my review, which shows management is at least interested & involved in maintaining the company's reputation. Original Review - Was charged more than double what we were quoted. The racket for some of the moving crews is simple, the more time they spend wrapping things up with tape, the more they charge you for supplies, and the longer it takes. We were charged a few hundred dollars in unnecessary packing supplies. The crew used two entire rolls of tape, to "secure" an unopened crib from pottery barn. Fed-ex had shipped it across the country as is, but the movers couldn't move it down the street without charging me for two rolls of tape and 20 minutes of labor. The three of them also dismantled a bed that only required an allen-wrench, and about 3 turns in the four corners. It took them 30 minutes and they took every screw out of the entire bed. Last but not least, they all smelled, they said they would "move faster" if we tipped them "good". Bad experience overall. I would assume your experience with the company is entirely dependent upon what crew you get. They also stand over your shoulder and read your review you write to their supervisor at the end of the move
I have been working for a multinational company for past 6 years. I have been promoted many times and with each promotion my boss transferred me to a new location. Since I got a good increment and a good house so moving to a new place was not a big headache. The only headache was packing and moving all my stuff every time I got a transfer. In each house I spent so much time adjusting all the items in place. So whenever I had to move to a new place it was very difficult for me. A friend told me about In & Out Moving and told me how easy they can make my packing and moving work. I called them and talked to their customer associate. Within few hours they sent some people to my house to start the work. They packed each and every thing with so much care. They were very professional in handling all the items including all fragile things. It seemed that they were packing their own stuff. Without much delay they completed the whole work in 3-4 hours and left for the new location. The delivery was made on time and the movers unpacked everything. They put all the boxes in the right rooms and they asked whenever they were in confusion. It didn’t even cost me that much for the amazing services I received. It really was the perfect way to relocate.
In & Out Moving was recommended to me by my apartment building. I, unfortunately, am one of those people who moves almost every year, and I have had my fair share of horrible movers. I've had entire bedding collections go "missing", movers just not showing up, movers that drag their feet and take way too long, completely damaged furniture, you name it, I've had it. This was the easiest moving process I've ever had. I was thankful to get a recommendation, because it is hard to chose a moving company from just searching online. I wanted to be sure that they were reputable and that they were worth the money. They showed up on time, with three men (to move into a large convertible in a high rise). They took care of my belongings and made sure that everything was safe. Nothing had any damage, and when unloading, they helped me arrange my furniture so that everything fit just right. They didn't just dump everything into one pile and leave me to unload and move everything around, which I appreciated. The actual price was a little more than what was quoted, but again I didn't mind paying the extra for great service. I will and have recommended them to friends, and if I ever HAVE to move again (hopefully not), they will be my first choice. :)
This was for about 350 cubic feet of items moved from Chicago to SF. They arrived an hour late to my two hour elevator reservation. And when they arrived and looked at all the items for which I had already received a quote, he had to call his supervisor because his inventory list did not match. He spent another another half an hour to sort out the discrepancies. They did an okay job packing and wrapping the items, but they did kind of throw the items around with little care. I had my items stored in Chicago before I was ready to have them transported to California. There were no issues on this front, but their storage location is kind of in a sketchy location. When I requested to have my items delivered, the contract lists that they have 30 business days to deliver the items. They literally delivered on the last day. I'm not sure if there's a penalty if they miss the delivery date because it was not specified in the contract. Also beware that they tag on additional fees during the final destination delivery (e.g. the hallway is over 20ft or you don't live on the ground floor, or they can't drive trucks downtown). Expect another couple hundred dollars.
We went with in and out moving because they were affordable. I told Megan when I first talked to her that I didn’t want to spend over $3,000. She got their quote down to $3200. I told her I couldn’t pay over that amount and told her I had big furniture. She said it wouldn’t be a problem and it wouldn’t cost anything over that amount. My husband and I even did several trips of moving things before the movers even got there. The movers arrived and instantly told us it was going to be at least $2000 more because our furniture was so large, we had to be out of our apartment so he had no other choice then to agree. After that they said because of where they had to park it was going to be another $500, even though he gave them a place to park right in front of our building. The movers didn’t want to park there. Our stuff delivered several days later, which I was not made aware was going to happen. When the stuff got there half of it was damaged and the movers were coming up with every excuse not to want to move things to the correct rooms, and complained about the furniture. I wouldn’t recommend this scam company to anyone.
Conduct business with In and out moving and storage at your own risk. At first you might think you are getting a cheaper option but be careful especially if moving out of state, additional estimates like long carry and shuttle would be included upon delivery. I paid over a thousand dollar more than the estimate. Also, they become less responsive after they pick up your items. Several of my calls went unanswered. Furthermore, their basic insurance is 60cents per pound. You may be tempted to not worry about it and that the movers owe you a duty of care so they would be careful but no. My Tv, desk and tv stand were damaged and the insurance company they use ‘Anthem Claim Management’ valued the items at 149 pounds for a total settlement of $89.40. For more context, my TV is a 65 inch over $500 bought within a year. Lastly, you might see a lot of good reviews here but trust those at your own risk. If you want to get a true picture, check out the insurance company they use ‘Anthem Claim Management’ and see the reviews. My move occurred over 3 months ago, I have tried to get fair settlement but to no avail. Be careful!
As of right now, we still don't have our stuff which is currently in their storage. We booked them mid-May, and had no problems with pickup (MAY 22) other than the "estimate" going up nearly $2500 because they didn't bring a large enough vehicle (or two), so some items got left behind (we provided them a detailed itemized list from another companys quote). We made our 2 dates as June 9 and 10....and they still haven't put us on the schedule (they had 5 weeks to have us on the schedule). Furthermore, we have been told each day we would be provided updates, and yet we have had to call them each day to be given another run around. We have also been told we would be able to speak to a manager or supervisor, yet, shockingly, they have always left for the day. At this point we will likely have to take legal action as we aren't on a schedule and they will be the ones in breach of contract. I would stay far far away from this company as they are unprofessional, apparently can't write a schedule, and don't follow through on their own mission statement from their own main page online.
These movers were easy to book, fast and efficient. They were very friendly and, despite being paid by the hour, worked extremely quickly. I used the company to both pack and move my belongings. While they did a great job with the moving, I would say the packing was a little slapdash - things sort of randomly thrown into boxes. We were not moving very far and had mostly books and clothes so this wasn't an issue, however if our things had needed to stay in storage I would not have been happy with the packing they did. Some items may have been damaged had they stayed in boxes the way they were packed. For the price I would say it is good value and you get what you pay for. If you want your things packed really carefully/neatly, better to do it yourself. We were in a pinch in terms of time and for this reason having In and Out pack our things was the best option. I should add that none of our belongings were damaged and that all correspondence with the company was timely and professional. If I were doing a similar, same-city move I would book them again.
I went with this company off the reviews! I wasn't happy being changed and extra for my out of state move. Megan didn't put down everything that I was moving to my new home. This COST ME a lot of money!!!!!! It's funny how they can't call you until it was time to pay them. Everything will cost you extra if they have to use there supplies while packing! So you better pack up everything yourself! And make sure you go over what your taking and you're on the same page! Because you will get the SHOCK of your life if the movers don't have what you're taking. My bedroom furniture was chipped, and my son's bed was missing a lot of screws to they couldn't put his bed back together. And they took the screws off the base of my 50 in TV and couldn't put back together on the stand. So now I have to go and find screws to put my TV back together now. And one of my fan I had to toss because we couldn't put back together. And I was told you booked early in February and I thought I was saving money! WRONG!!!! I will never use them again!
This was the second time that I've used them, and I don't know why I bothered to look around before contacting them again. I spoke to Carlos again to set up moving for my girlfriend. Amazingly, Carlos was the same person I spoke to 7 years ago when I moved! Their rates were much cheaper than any other quotes. He mentioned that they are treating it like a local move as she was just moving under a mile into WI from IL. All other companies were charging long distance for a drive of 35 miles! Come moving day the guys showed up in the window they gave, and got right to work. Besides loading things on the truck, they also assisted with moving things to the garage that weren't going on the truck. They worked fast and took great care of all of the items that still needed to be packed, like a few TVs. While it took a while to get everything loaded, transported, and unloaded (7 hr) their rates were still far cheaper than any other I got quoted on. They did great work, and I'd be sure to use them again!
I LITERALLY don’t have 1 single positive thing to say about this company. From the girl that gave us the original quote with. Euro follow through, to the “customer service” girl Zoe who has no integrity, to the supposed supervisor Diana, who I promise will not get back to you. There is no problem solving on their end. They just tell you they’ll send you the invoice. It’s past the 14 days, which we were told in text that it would be less, we still don’t have our things. They upcharged me $5200 after I’ve already paid $1500. They charged me for packaging that they told me they wouldn’t charge me for. They managed to double the amount of space needed, which of course then doubles the gas charge, like I didn’t know how they could be in business still, but I’ll tell you it’s because they’re stealing thousands of dollars from people! I promise the 1 star reviews are true. I know all these companies have horrible reviews, but this one is true. DONT USE THIS COMPANY! You will regret it!
Hated Moving, but Great Experience with In & Out! Moves are nerve-wracking even in the best circumstances, and I was not in a best circumstance. However, In & Out was just the right moving company for me. Carlos was very communicative with me before the move, providing correct pricing and fee information (both over the phone and email). On the day of the move, the foreman Jose was more than capable for the job! I was worried with my lack of experience with professional moves, but Jose and his 3 men were wonderful. Jose ensured that I understood all of the forms and fees prior to beginning the job (very important in my book), and then managed the packing and moving process smoothly. There was no problem or complication that came up that Jose couldn't handle. The entire crew was kind and very focused. I absolutely, DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this company in the future! **Great Communication & Responsiveness, Wonderful Customer Service, and Very Efficient**
This was by far the worst move I have ever had. I am a professional interior designer and move my clients in and out all the time and deal with moving companies on a daily basis. The lack of disregard and care they took for my belongings doesn't even make sense, as their sole job is to care for my belongings. The amount of damage they caused not only to my boxes, but every pieces of furniture and my brand new wood floors almost seems impossible to achieve. I have upwards of $3000 worth of goods ruined or damaged. I know I did not opt for my own insurance, but this level of damage want even fathomable to me. And the discount they offered to me is a joke, a $25 Yelp Good review discount. I did not take this as I felt I use it to everyone else to let you know do not use them. Any good reviews are solely based on the fact they give a discount, do not believe them. Do not use this company. There are plenty of other lower priced companies out there.
We hired In & Out Moving & Storage to move us out of an apartment, store our belongings for 2+ months, and then move us to another city. The "move-out" is done and it went very well. Ellie (in the office) was great to work with. Moving team was very helpful and polite. Jose, the boss, was very knowledgeable and on top of things. Overall it was a good experience, although they were a couple hours late arriving. (That was OK for us since we didn't have that much stuff and had some flexibility time-wise, but keep in mind if time is critical.) Fingers crossed that all our stuff is safely in storage and will make it to its destination in August. :) I will update my review then. ~~~~~~~~~ Long overdue update: They held our furniture hostage, essentially, and we had to pay extra (over $1000) to get it delivered in the week we needed it. Then the guys that drove it from Chicago to Ann Arbor couldn’t put it together. Warning: don’t use this company!
I recommend in and out moving and will definitely use them again! I moved from a 3 bedroom apartment in downtown Chicago, to our new house in Oakland NJ, they came on time and the crew packed everything carefully. It took almost 4 hours to get everything ready, and the about 2 hours more to get everything in the truck. We had so much stuff it’s not even funny… we had to get rid of some old toys and furniture. Moving from Chicago was not an easy decision, I was born and raised in Chicago…my husband had to relocated to NJ with his Job, and it was a tough decision. We’ve looked at few options and different types of moving services and moving companies. In and out movers had reasonable rates and had an opening May 28 so we decided to go with them. So our whole shipment arrived safely to our new location in NJ and they unpacked and moved every item where we wanted it. I’m very happy with our moving experience, because moving is very stressful.
The worst experience of my Life ... The movers were 2.5 hours late. Didn't wrap my items well causing a ugly scrape of discoloration to my Leather sofa. The Entire time they loaded the vehicle I watched two guys run back and forth to the corner store for snacks.. All during the hours of service I paid for. Upon leaving to the new destination the foreman advised me he would take a 30 minute lunch .. which resulted in 45 minutes but at the end of services he refused to remove the 30 minutes from my invoices resulting in me calling the Manager whom advised to remove the cost. The foreman and staff left very upset with out removing the wrap from my furniture or allowing me to view the inside of the truck for any remaining items. As I later discovered that they did not bring in the support frames for my bed. I did speak with the Manager whom was rather nice and expressed he was very sorry.
I would never use them again. There is lack of communication and truth regarding their services. After I signed a contract and paid a deposit the amount grew and grew and grew. I was promised a time for pick up, they were late. Left a mess too. Once they had my stuff they never communicated on status or anything. I had to call or email every time. They never explained that your 2 days start from the time you okay delivery, not the pick up date. So, 16 days later I get my stuff. Some stuff is broken, boxes are crushed and the guys who dropped it off piled it to the roof. I am 5'2". How am I supposed to get this stuff down? All the heavy stuff surrounds it. I feel taken advantage of especially since it cost me double of what was origianlly quoted. I will be filing and insurance claim. Some of the broken stuff had sentimental value. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Incredibly professional from start (requesting a quote) to finish (handling the paperwork post move). They were very transparent in what the quote was and I loved the they prorate the time by 15 min increments. We felt that the pricing was fair across the board. Carlos and his team to care to wrap everything and had a system that made it seamless. They noted furniture before the move that might be chipped or unstable and helped us refine some of our packing to make sure it was a success. We utilized the concierge service that was as easily streamlined as the move and were excited to have all of our utilities taken care of as well as cable and internet. We really appreciate their hard work, professionalism and care. As a real estate professional having experience and second hand feedback from many movers we think these guys deserve an A+
I've used them twice and will never use again. First time they forgot a part of our bed on the truck and we had to wait for them to find it and bring it back before we could put it back together. Second time they dropped the box-spring of our new bed down the stairs which put a huge hole in our wall! Some of our furniture looks like it was forced back together and has never been the same after the move as well. With the hole in the wall, after multiple emails and phone calls/messages to get the hole fixed, they stop responding. I gave up after about 3 months. The crews you get are also apparently hit or miss. The first crew was pretty good but the second crew was a mix bag. The truck they used looks like its been through a demolition derby. Price wise, they were really cheap, so only use if you don't care about what you're moving...
I booked In & Out Moving for my long distance move from Chicago to Denver. From the start they were great! Carlos spent so much time on the phone with me explaining pricing and how the move would work to figure out what options would be best for my needs. I picked up my free boxes and tape at their warehouse and spent another generous bit of time in person with Carlos patiently going through more details. On moving day the movers were on time and worked efficiently. Pricing was exactly what had been detailed with no hidden fee. (I packed everything on my own so had limited needs for additional tape and boxes). The whole In & Out team has been friendly, patient, and very responsive at every point of contact through the process of research to booking to the actual move. I would definitely recommend In & Out.
As we all know, moving is never easy and in my case it was a very emotional day but Carlos at In & Out Moving & Storage came through for me in more ways that I can possibly express. He made sure everything was handled exceptionally! The movers were professional and handled all of my heavy furniture with care making sure that everything was wrapped accordingly. There wasn't a scratch or broken glass on any of my items which made me very happy. The move into my new place was also handled with the same professionalism and care, they even took their shoes off in my new place because I had just gotten brand new carpeting---talk about accomodating! Overall, everything went great, I have no complaints. Thanks again for taking great care of me, you made a very difficult day a lot easier to handle!
I called, went over everything and what I expected. They agreed to all I asked. They gave me an estimate and locked me in. As soon as they came to pick up my belongings, the movers tried to hustle me out of more money. They added charges that was not in the contract and told me “ that’s why it’s called an estimate”. I requested a specific date for drop of. They did not honor my date and kept my belongings for 17 days. I also requested my items for delivery after a Specific time and they did the opposite. I had to request to come to work late to wait for the delivery. I would never recommend this company if they were the last one left. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They will say and agree to anything to get your deposit. They will honor nothing. You will be at their mercy. They are horrible.
I'm sorry to say that this was our worst moving experience ever. The driver harassed me. Most of the goods that I shipped were damaged and at least 4 boxes, and other items were missing. Many items arrived loose that were originally packed in boxes. The driver promised to deliver my items on 6/30/15 9AM, but did not show up. Later that evening he called at 7pm, insisting that he needs to deliver my goods as he needs to go somewhere else the next day. He showed up at 9:30pm and forced me to sign papers that he delivered all the goods even before he started unloading the truck. He says that it is his company's policy. He charged 85$ extra. I am really disappointed, feels like what I received was garbage, will strongly recommend everyone not to use this service
I hired this company and the company and the actual mover are two totally different companies. I paid a deposit upon the inventory that was made and ageed upon, however the other company that moves ur goods actually try to charge me another significant amount which wasn't in agreement. So I say let's just stick to what's on my inventory list that I provided. They argued with me regarding the room on their truck. I also argued that I have nothing to do with the room they have on their truck and that would be strictly on then. Let's just stick with my inventory list that I provided and agreed and sign upon. So they were reluctant and we canceled the move as a result and now they're ignoring my calls and email for my refund. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
My move was surely excellent from the beginning to the end. The movers demonstrated exceptional skills in moving and packing my stuff. I must commend their attitude to work and diligence. I had a great move experience with them and that is why I will hire them again for my future moves. We had a lot of heavy stuff to move and our move was across a long distance. This was why we did not even see it as an option to hire an inexperienced moving company. We scoured the internet in search for an experienced moving company and luckily we came across In & Out Moving & Storage . These movers did excellent job and moved our stuff in timely and perfect manner. We are pleasantly surprised with the way they handled the job and we will hire them again.
They were great! To start off - I realized I needed to be out of my apartment about 24 hours earlier than I originally planned AND I needed storage for a short period of time before I could move into my new place. Last minute move scheduling in Chicago is a nightmare but Ellie with In and Out was very helpful, responsive and put my mind at ease. Jose and his crew showed up right on time and they were off like a flash. They were organized, had all supplies needed and worked quickly. We had quite a bit of stuff and they were done in 2.5 hours. They are now storing my belongings in their warehouse. So far, so good! I highly recommend. In and OUt also provided concierge service that set up my ComEd and Peoples Gas at my new place. Awesome.
Local move 4.2 miles distance. Customer service was knowledgeable and very responsive either via email or phone during booking. The movers (Luis, Jonathan and Anthony) arrived on time, explained the entire process and was very expedient yet professional during the move. After the move was complete, Luis provided the completion information and detailed explanation of costs. I did my own math and we both came up with the same number - which means no costs were hidden and I was aware of the terms 100% before the move even started. These are the things you look for in a move: 1) clarity on costs and expectations. 2) promptness. 3) NOTHING BROKEN. 4) professional movers. My family received a 5-star level of service on all 4 points.
I have used in and out in the past and have had great experiences. They are quick efficient and get the job done. This is the second time I've used them and I have to say they are really great! The movers are pleasant and effective. Customer service is amazing as well. When something did happen that was not up to their standards they went above and beyond without me having to struggle or having to speak with a whole line of people or any excessive correspondence. They went out of the way to make sure I will continue to use them in the future and I definitely will. The prices are extremely reasonable, movers are very good and customers service is great. This is definitely a great option for moving in the Chicago area!
In & Out Moving is a lifesaver. My husband is on a business trip and I got the lovely task of finding a (last-minute) apartment and moving with our zoo (two cats & dog)! Fun right? Well, I was freaking out, but found a beautiful apartment in Chicago. I called In & Out Moving and they scheduled me in right away. On moving day, the movers arrived on time. I was still scrambling to get everything packed (I'm a neat freak), but these guys packed my remaining items just as I would've. I was impressed! They wrapped everything in blankets, put my clothes in wardrobe boxes, and accommodated all of my requests. I am very happy with their service and hardwork. Using them again for my next move. Thanks In & Out Moving!
The guys were friendly and pretty efficient. Our things were moved safely and quickly, and at a price that no other company could compare to. I would recommend In&Out to friends. My only issues were that we asked for a 3 man crew and were sent 4, and I had some packing supplies that I requested they use before their own (you know, so I didn't need to pay $7 for a box that costs $2 at Home Depot), and they didn't do that. I was originally quoted at 6 hours for a 3 man crew, but when they showed up (with 4 men) this changed to 7 hours. My husband and I helped out and it ended up being 4 hours. In the end, the extra person wasn't too big of a deal, but it was a change in plans I wasn't expecting.
I called and received an estimate for 5/31 for a move scheduled for the evening and was quoted for a minimum of 3 hours of service at about $120/hr. I made a deposit on this estimate and then a few days later they called and stated they could no longer honor my time frame and that it was a 4 hour minimum due to the date - completely acknowledging that it was their mistake. Customer service is terrible and they do not honor the estimates they give you over the phone. Now the one other company that was available for 5/31 no longer has movers. I'm appalled that this business would not honor an estimate that a customer made a deposit on. I would not trust them with your money.
Very efficient. Move was completed within a rather short period of time and items were handled with care. UPDATE: I used this company a second time because I had a great experience the first time only to be totally disappointment, keeping it lightly. The movers showed up late, rushed the entire process causing damage to multiple items and to top it off, “items of mine were “left in the truck” but I had to come to the realization while unpacking that I was missing items rather than the company notifying me. However, they use the trucks daily? Hmmm. Not a company I would ever recommend or use again.
Terrible Experience since the movers came to pick up my belongings. I was initially told when I paid my deposit that my belongings would arrive within 5-7 days, however after the movers took my things to the warehouse, I was told it could be up to 14 days. I had a small window to work with which is why I booked with them in the first place, and still don’t have my items after a week. They gave me a very incorrect estimated rate as well that increased by almost $1000 after the movers came to pick up my belongings. The customer service lady is very professional but can’t help much.
We used In & Out for moving and one months storage. The movers were good but the business itself was not. If you need a reliable moving company that shows up on the day they are contracted to....DO NOT use these guys. They pushed our move day back twice and didn't call until the day before causing us to find other accommodations (all beds, furniture etc was in their storage unit). The manager Eric was awesome and tried to help, but Carlos was smug and rude and basically said we needed to deal with it....not caring of our extra expense, days off work and the headache of it all.
Upon first arrival Carlos and Raul were professional and had a wonderful sense of humor. Having only two movers you would think it would take more time, but both of them were efficient, as if three people were there. They were quick and took great care with my belongings. Moving into the new apartment they took the challenge of getting a few larger pieces into the apartment. They both did great work and were still even had a sense of humor after those challenges. I highly recommend them, and the moving company in general. They are professional and trustworthy.
The move crew was great! There were three young men and they moved over a hundred boxes then carefully wrapped and moved our furniture. They did the job within the targeted time and our stuff was put into storage. We look forward to getting the furniture back once we're in our permanent home. Jose, one of the movers, explained the breakdown of the bill and was patient with our questions. We used In & Out for a move in the past and liked the friendly service. From our initial contact with Carlos to the crew, the moving experience went smoothly.
I am a repeat customer! I won't use anyone else except In & Out Movers. They are professional, punctual, and efficient. I always plan for the worst and budget for a much longer move but In & Out always comes in way under my estimated move time- saving me money! I have used them 3 times and they are consistent in the way they work, regardless of the crew. I have a move scheduled in the coming weeks and was pleasantly surprised to learn that wardrobe boxes are now part of the move price...BONUS! Moving can be stressful but using In & Out isn't!
The guys arrived on time and did a great job packing and moving my belongings. However I witnessed them hit my neighbors car as they drove to the new place. I understand accidents happen however, the company denied any wrong doing and refused to pay to fix my neighbor's car that I witness them damage. For this reason it makes questing the integrity of the company. I'm not sure I would use them again. I think if they had damaged any of my belongings during the move they would deny it and I would have to sue just like my neighbor is suing.
The way the movers of In & Out Moving & Storage managed a super difficult move so effortlessly was simply amazing to watch. I was never ever thinking to have a perfect move only because of the nature of the move but these movers were equally good to the task. They showed their class and showed that what they are capable off. They came on time and finished the move within the schedule and executed the move perfectly I am highly impressed with their service and I am happy to recommend them to everyone who is looking for some great movers.
In general, the movers were good. They picked up most of our furniture. They were knowledgeable and provided good service. However, the freight elevator of my building was broken, and I ended up getting charged for extra time. This wasn't the fault of the moving company, but I took a major financial hit from it. Moreover, there were bookcases left over which we had to move ourselves. The moving experience was not good, having to physically move the rest of the items by ourselves up to a third floor walk up.
A good friend recommended In & Out, she used their services three times in the past. In return, I recommended In & Out to another friend, even before using their services myself. Luckily, my referral was very satisfied. My experience...well not so great. HOWEVER, after speaking with customer service and management, everything was resolved, quickly. I can honestly say the movers were courteous and skilled. Now, I am grateful to have a quality mover to recommend and use - AGAIN. Kind regards, CA
They kept asking "what else do you need done?" and then did it. We were really happy with the rates and efficiency of their labor. You know that this team works well together and they aren't just picking up labor randomly who will not respect your items. I highly recommend this company for any moving job small or large and will definitely keep them in mind for any future moves. Wonderful and courteous staff! Hard working crew! Best rates experienced! I cannot recommend them enough!
This is my second time using In and Out in the past 6 months and both times the service was excellent! Ellie is a pleasure to work with. The movers arrived on time; carefully moved the items out of the house to avoid damaging the house or the items; carefully moved them into the new house. Could not ask for a better experience. And the price could not be beat!! I also recommended In and Out to a friend for a long distance move, and they were extremely happy with the entire process.
@in & out moving was great. They were easily able to accommodate a last minute move into a new apartment. The 3 man crew arrived right on time, quickly and carefully cleared my items and got me moved into my new home within the minimum billable time. The moving supervisor explained the insurance minimums and other terms and conditions clearly and I was happy to tip my movers for doing such a good job. I would recommend In and Out for any residential relocation. #chicagomovers
I had a friendly, professional and efficient team come help me move all of my stuff into their storage unit for a week while I wait until my new apartment is ready to move in. They did a great job wrapping the items that needed to be wrapped and I felt comfortable entrusting them with my belongings for the week interim. Hiring them ensured peace of mind. I'm happy that we've found them and am looking forward to them helping us move everything into our new place.
In and out movers- GREAT. My main contact was Elijones. From the first day of taking my info, agreeing on the price ( fair compared to competitors), accepting my request to move the move-date and after delivery all were done well. The pickup crew was very careful and did a great job. Drop off also was good, except a few boxes were delivered up- side down. I STRONGLY recommend In and Out and specifically ask for Elijones and he will take care of your move needs.
In & Out is competitively priced and we have been able to get movers on short notice (2-1 week in advance). This was our second time using In & Out and we were more pleased than the first time. The movers were super fast and helpful. My husband appreciated their service, especially, because we had a newborn and I was pretty much useless to him. The movers had a positive attitude and handled our items with care. It is a no frills company that gets the job done.
They came right on time. They were super respectful and hard-working. They took great care wrapping up all the fragile stuff. Nothing was damaged. No complaints whatsoever. I won't hesitate to call them again. I could not believe how fast and professionally they wrapped and moved all my stuff. Unloading went even faster and not a scratch or ding to be found. They showed up exactly when they said they would and got right to work without a single break.
The workers were great, but because of the length of the day they did not reassemble all my furniture. I found today that I could not find one of my coolers too. Also the next day, the owners wanted to raise the price quoted. I think this happened because I didn't tip the workers! Unfortunately when I'm paying a pretty penny for the service, and the strain of relocating, I don't think tipping is required. The workers worked hard though I have to say
I have used In & Out Moving & Storage for my recent move and it was a great experience . Absolutely outstanding service .Very efficient and dedicated to making my move 100% easy going. Everything was packed and delivered with no breaks or scratches. These movers were super fast and efficient. Lots of good communication the whole way out and a super great bargain. They were friendly and super accommodating. I will definitely hire them again.
These guys got to my house right on time, they worked extremely fast, and carefully wrapped all necessary furniture. They did use a lot of tape on some of the items, which are 3 dollars a roll, but all moving blankets used were free. The movers were very polite, and took anything we requested seriously. They got done in less time than they estimated, and I was on my way without having to lift a finger. This was a fantastic experience.
The moving team sent to me by In & Out Moving & Storage demonstrated superb determination and great skills in their work. They showed that they can be relied upon as they were in total control of the moving process. It made my relocation so much less stressful knowing that I have knowledgeable and dependable movers taking care of my belongings.Their charges were comfortable and I would recommend In & Out Moving & Storage to everyone .
I chose In & Out Moving & Storage because they were one of the few places in Chicago that would store my stuff for a week and also move it. They had great service and great prices and did a great job with a pretty difficult move. They were very fast and professional. Many of my friends have told me the horror stories that they had experienced with other moving companies. I can happily say that In & Out was a breath of fresh air.
In & Out Moving & Storage helped me move out of my business and made it the easiest day for me. They handled all the packing, organization and storage. I would highly recommend this company for their services. helped me move out of my business and made it the easiest day for me. They handled all the packing, organization and storage. I would highly recommend this company for their services.
The movers from In & Out were great. They were fast, careful, and friendly. They made the stressful process of moving as smooth and easy as possible. Everything was carefully wrapped, anything they take apart, they put back together, and they put things wherever you'd like them to in the new place. They worked hard on a very hot day, and were friendly and helpful the entire time.
We could not be happier with the customer service. We were extremely friendly and professional. Made sure everything was going well and address any questions and concerns. I'm very happy I booked with them. Everything was very pleasant. The office staff were polite and called when they said they would. They arrived on time and went straight to work. I was very happy with them.
We booked In & Out in May for an end of July move to FL. The day before the expected loading we were told that trucks weren’t available and “these things happen “ The disregard for our agreed timeline is unbelievable. This is no way to run a business and the lack of customer service is staggering. Walk, walk, walk,Run,run, run, Hide, hide , hide from this sham Company!!
This is the second year in a row I have used In and Out moving and I am beyond pleased. They were on time, efficient, and had a great attitude during the move. The rates are extremely fair and I felt like I had a great deal and quality service at the same time. I have recommended this company to many of my friends in the city, they are great!
Irving and Mike were fantastic. I was fleeing a DV situation and they were so helpful in helping me overcome obstacles to get the job done. They were friendly, communicative and efficient. 5 star ratings all around for these two. Thank you for everything you did today. It was moving and then some and I appreciate your humanity. Thanks again!
I had a great experience with In and Out movers. They were able to work with me to fit a tight schedule while other companies would not. Carlos was a great point of contact person and the movers were friendly, professional and quick. I found In & Out to be a great bargain and I would definitely recommend them as movers.
My only complaint about In & Out Moving & Storage is that they were late to arrive. They were supposed to arrive between 12-2pm and did not arrive until ~3:30pm. However, once they arrived, they moved very quickly. They were easy to communicate with and all of my belongings made it safely to the new location.

Not to be trusted for a professional, diligent move. We've asked repeatedly for compensation for broken & damaged furniture. 03/2022 Chgo to JAX, Fl. Sincerely disgruntled ! D. Harbin & J. Bash
Highly rated and half the cost of their competitors. Very professional and fast. They covered the bigger items in moving blankets. It ended up being half the price I was expecting to pay.
