Having long given up looking for authentic Indian cuisine in Egypt after having tried the likes of Maharaja and a few other so-called Indian restaurants (all over Egypt) that don't have the remotest idea about the Indian cuisine, I stumbled upon Indian Masala House. I called the number and spoke to Manoj who told me he made authentic Indian cuisine as a chef. So I gave it a try by travelling all the way to another city, Nasr City. Located inside the Tivoli Plaza amongst a plethora of other food stalls, Indian Masala House can be found at the western end. We were greeted by Manoj and ordered a few dishes and staples recommended by him. Manoj really knew how to make his customers feel special. He was courteous, kind and hospitable. The food was the best and closest in taste to the Indian cuisine than any of the other phony Indian restaurants in Egypt. However, the serving size was not satisfactory, nor the ingredients inclusive as mentioned in the menu. Not to mention a very steep price point that one only pays in fine-dining restaurants in Egypt, but here you are sitting in a food court with loud colours and street aesthetics and no air-conditioning. One of the staples was burnt and stuck to the plate and was inedible, when pointed out, it was replaced but we were charged even for the damaged item! If you're looking for good proximity in taste to the Indian cuisine around Cairo, Indian Masala House should be your only stop. They do deliver as well.

Food: Yes Authentic, the chef cooks it fresh and vegetarian section is delicious. Biryani was a blast. Chef will greet you and will ask you on your choice of taste, spicy Service: George and team always helpful and fast. 100%. Location: Excellent for family and group. Your luck if there are events at the food court. I am not sure about summer as its outdoor and no AC but who cares as food service and outdoor will compensate.

The food is amazing, and in addition to the regular Indian menu that you find in most top rated Indian restaurants, they also have a south Indian menu. The delivery service is excellent, and the food arrives hot, and now they also have a small restaurant, it is small and not very lavish, but the food is on par with the best Indian restaurants in Egypt, the service is excellent, and the staff are very pleasant to deal with.

There are plenty of vegetarian options, and they can make several of them vegan, but you need to specify to be sure they don't use cream or butter.

During our visit to Cairo we were searching for good Indian food as we had long stay of about 10 days there. After visiting 1-2 restaurants we found this restaurant operated by Head Chef Manoj. The taste of the food was same as we were expecting and best part was that you can customise preparation as per your taste. Also the menu was wide to choose from. We also availed free delivery in our hotel location which was some bit far away from the restaurant. We will definitely visit again in our next trip. Good luck to Manoj and team for the hospitality during our visit to their restaurant.

My mom and I were in Cairo and decided to eat at an indian restaurant for Diwali. We are so glad we found this beautiful restaurant located in a trendy restaurant complex with some very instagramable picture ops if that’s your thing. The restaurant itself was so neat and clean and the manager George was very polite and attentive. The food was delicious and a real Diwali treat, not forgetting the lovely cup of chai we ended our meal with. All in all a wonderful, authentic restaurant in the heart of trendy Cairo which I would love to go back to. Thank you for the lovely meal.

Though a small place to eat, the homely atmosphere of Indian Masala House is what attracts many to it. True to the last word in its title, the waiters give a service that pars that of many great restaurants in the locality. The food is amazing, nothing too much grand or exotic in a way to over represent India, but simple delicious Indian food from all regions of India (vegetarian and non-veg) made exceptionally well and in good portions. True a restaurant that is Indian and worth it to when visiting Cairo!

Wow....what a magnificent truly indian taste. The chef behind magical food is "Manoj". I and my colleague Mr. Shad stayed nearby for a week and visited this restaurant three times till now. Since first day ate freshly made samosas, paneer rolls, vegetable dosa and lasso till today eating spicy chicken biryani with mutton bhunna. From smelling freshly cooked food when arrive at table till last bite, taste and hotness same as we just started. Must visit and cheer-up the Chef for his devotion to his work and generosity.

Authentic Indian Food! We have been staying in Cairo for a week now and desperately looking for a place that serves indian food which we could have everyday. We ordered Wheat Tawa Roti, Chicken Curry, Lamb Biryani, Chicken Biryani, Chicken Tikka. Each and every dish was super delicious. They delivered it to our hotel for a very nominal charge. I spoke to Manoj on the call, he was very polite and adhered to our preparation instructions. Will update with pictures soon.

Delicious food! It was my family’s last day in Cairo and we wanted something different. Looked up some Indian food and chose Indian Masala House. It was one of the best meals during our trip! We ordered 3 vegetarian dishes, 3 chicken, and 1 lamb - all were great. We were also offered complimentary chutney, raita, and fresh lemon juice. I can’t say enough good things about the food, hospitality, and kindness of the staff. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The food was awesome. Real authentic Indian taste. The biryani was as good as you'd expect at any Indian restaurant here in Cairo. The service was really very good. My friend arranged for a birthday party at this venue. The waiters were very polite and the head chef is also very humble. The only let off was that South Indian dishes were not available.

Indian Masala House provides excellent quality delicious food with so much variety. I am their regular customer and almost everyday I order from there only Their South Indian Varieties are my favorite items. The food was really good.....it was touching to indian standards, compared to any other indian restaurants in egypt. I am in Egypt for 10 years never experienced such a good Indian food with reasonable rates. I have ordered the food from Talabat, Food was on another level in taste, It was same like an authentic Indian food. Food was well hot well mixture of all spices of Indian flavour. Just one thing which I didn’t liked it we order food from different Indian restaurants but no one charge Municipality charge which is only charged by this restaurant but not others. The best Indian Food in Egypt. We tried the Vada for starters, Fulkas and Palak Paneer for main course. Lastly, the masala tea. Freshly cooked and served with the right spices. The service is excellent. Highly recommeded.

Very good Place for Indian food, veg options and Jain food also available, during our stay in Cairo we ate only at this place, chef is Indian, so good for Indians traveling Cairo. One of the best Indian restaurant. Service is exceptional and they take care of you personally. You cannot expect exactly like what you have in India but the chef and the manager ensures you get what you want. They are going out of their way to cater to your taste.
