I regularly buy my Indian grocery stuff at this store. On the day before the eve of Deepavali we went to buy some stuffs and got so many items. My son envy that place and when he was running into the corner of one of the shelves he got hurt in his hand and starts bleeding due to sharp edges in the shelf. The Store Owner was busy that he couldn't assist and gave a 'BAND-AID' for help which is of no use. They don't even have the basic FIRST-AID box which is required in any place. I seriously doubt the safety measures handled in this store. I certainly have nothing to talk about the goods they sell as they lack the basic humanity and safety. Completely upset. Replying to your response : Thanks for the prompt reply. I posted this not to degrade but to make you understand that all this can happen on a busy day. I can always give 5 out of 5 for the quality, price and the varieties of the goods you sell, but the way you people reacted at the time when my son got hurt wasn't good at all. Yes, thanks for providing the basic 'BAND-AID' but it didn't help at all since you need to have a basic 'FIRST-AID' box because these are the things required in case of emergency. I clearly know what exactly happened, so please don't put the blame on my wife.I don't want to justify my point anymore. Please cover the sharp edges of the shelves at your store. That's my request and have a first aid box. Your hawkins cooker was great and the person at the counter gave a discount at the time when I purchased. I can't forget the good things I encountered in your store. But, when someone is in trouble you must react. I am changing my rating to 5 just for the store but not for the people inside.

Found their New Store, and was floored by how Friendly the Manager/Owner? and Staff were, even in the midst of opening. Were nothing but helpful even while being busy stocking shelves and serving other customers. I am in a wheelchair and was extremely surprised to find the store totally accessible, and that they even had a ramp in the back of the store to access the mezzanine floor (all be a bit steep) and needed my Husband to help me up and down, it wasn’t too much of an issue, and found that the staff was helpful with this also by warning us that there was a shelf behind us when we came down backwards, which was really appreciated. They have a lot of products that I can not find elsewhere and are extremely good priced. We had no idea what items cost at the time due to the store still setting up, until we got to the checkout and were told, we were so surprised that it was so cheap as we were expecting it to be more, but wasn’t. Will definitely be back soon, and we have nothing but rave reviews for their store and customer service. Thank You so much.

Although the owner is very nice, may be he wasn't there today at store, the staff today was very rude,at the billing counter - which is opposite to fruits and veg- I wanted to bill the entire box of mangoes - but there were 2 rotten ones- I wanted to pull that out- she was very loud, said these cannot be replaced- they have to be billed with the box- in a way she was telling me to bill the rotten / over ripe with black skin ones with the box, also there is a way of saying, the helper realised and poor guy did show me another box , but the way she spoke was so absurd, I left my entire cart and walked out. I am a regular customer from last 2 years, I felt so humiliated I will never go to this store again. I went next door at EKAM, shopped what was needed, will rather go to stores near my house.

Visited this store after a long interval and was very impressed with how it has progressed since my last visit. There is a huge variety of items and plenty of stock on hand. The store has a large floor space and is quite conveniently located very close to the Gepps Cross intersection. The staff members who I asked for assistance were very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. The price of the fresh vegetables and fruits was surprisingly much cheaper than some greengrocers! There's plenty of food, snacks, spices, religious paraphernalia, pots & pans, etc.to satisfy anyone's homesickness. All in all a great place to visit if you are shopping for anything with an Indian flavour. They also have a section where they stock Sri Lankan foodstuff...

It's probably best to ignore the old reviews. This store has been in it's current location for just a few weeks (it was a Dick Smith Electronics store many moons ago). I've been there twice already and have found the staff to be helpful regarding their massive range of both north and south indian products (yes they have proper Kerala banana chips!). If you need any ingredient for your indian cooking, you almost definitely find it here, along with a selection of indian cookware and other household items. Apart from the slightly odd carpark and awkward checkout area, this place is a winner and I'm glad to have it so close to home.

If you're looking for a wide variety of Indian and South Asian products, this India grocery store is the place to go. They have everything from spices and condiments to snacks and beverages, and the staff are always happy to help you find what you're looking for. In addition to the great selection of products, the service at this store is top-notch. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they always go above and beyond to make sure customers have a positive shopping experience. Overall, I highly recommend the India grocery store for all your Indian and South Asian food needs.

Owner needs to learn or do a course regarding communication and how to serve the customers. He has really bad attitude towards his staff too. This is not your“PIND KI DUKAN”. Store is huge, well organised but lacks with basic common sense skills like how to talk. Rumour around says Indian plaza has been complained in fair works for not paying there employee and selling illegal stuff as tobacco and for that they ask for cash payment This is not the only Indian grocery store in Adelaide. There are few reviews in regards to his behaviour so I’m not the first one to say.

  • Robi Islam

This is one of the best Indian grocery shops in Adelaide. It is big and spacious. You will have lots of options of the Indian products and they are comparably cheaper with other grocery shops. Vegetable section is also very rich and competitive. Some authentic fruits or food are also available in here. I love their customer service. I have been doing groceries here since they opened the shop on Main North Road and never had any disappointment with their service. The reward point system is also very worthy.

  • Harwinder Singh

Indian plaza has many kinds of indian groceries and is expanding its shop to cater to more products for more customers. Was amazed at its expansion. Outside the shop there is a mobile eatery called Chatt House that sells Indian roadside food like pav bhaji, pani puri, masala tea etc. Indian Plaza is open till 8pm every day and chatt house is open weekends from 11pm to around 5pm. (Timings might defer depending on how much food is left.) Its a great shopping experience for me and my family.

  • Vivek Prasad

We arrived in Adelaide a few days ago and like any other Indian family, were on the look out for decent Indian groceries. After all, 'Ghar ka khana' is something we can't live without for a long time! It's great to note that there are many options in the northern suburbs and this one is the first outlet we tried. We were completely blown away by the variety of goods on display and immediately felt like shopping in a supermarket at home.

  • Travelling Mama

I took advice from friends and went to this place which was amazing!!! By not being Indian, I found the best quality of fruit and vegetables, all types of rice, dairy...everything you need at the right price. Their service is wonderful and such a friendly staff....just loved it. This is one of our locals that we'll be supporting as they deserve it 100% and I hope you go try it out and let me know if I'm right!!

  • parth prajapati

A place for finding the Indian food items and grocery’s in this store. It’s very helpful for people who are leaving or travelling from Asia can come to this place to find there products available from India. We usually visit the place on weekends and while visiting the place you can find a lot of Indian people buying stuff. All the people and staff are really helpful, so don’t worry everything is covered over here.

  • Aditi Sheokand

I would say this is better than most of the Indian grocery stores, prices are really good and there is no compromise in quality.. You can find everything you need for your kitchen. The best thing is any fruits and vegetables you pick, it will be all fresh and genuine prices most of them are even cheaper than coles and Woolworths.. Have been to lots of Indian grocery stores but this one is the best.

  • Ashish Shrestha

Quite big and organised. Lots of varieties and different items you could barely get in other Indian shops. I mean, the stock is also in great quantity. Furthermore, the place is so big that there is lots of space to walk around, and the plaza covers a large space, unlike Ekam. You can get all the items with discounted deals, too, plus fresh vegetables and fruits.

  • Mayur Bedi

One of the biggest Indian grocery stores in SA. Huge selection of groceries available from every part of India. Fresh produce is great quality and always reasonably priced. Variety of ready to eat meals and frozen sweets, meals available too. Highly recommended if you are looking for Indian groceries. P.S. they have another store, bit smaller though, in Firle.

  • Graeme Brookfield

Fantastic range of Indian food. But they need to do something about the car park. It's dangerous. Having one entrance and 2 exits just isn't working. People exiting onto main north Rd are blocking the only entrance (from main north Rd) All they need to do is make Main North Road the Entrance and the side street the exit. Then the chaos will be heavily reduced.

  • Smita J

This is among the bigger Indian grocery stores in Adelaide. It has confectionery, flours, lentils, masalas and other items from the Indian subcontinent. There's also frozen foods and a green grocery section. While I'd occasionally go here for variety and stock levels, this would not be my go-to because of the substantially higher prices.

  • Himanshu Joshi

Very good shop for all kind of indian products. Inclues all groceries, frozen vegetables, sweets and many more. You can buy hear stainless steel appliances with temples as well. No issue of parking as plenty available. Busy time Saturdays and Sundays and all evenings. Cards and cash payments are accepted.

  • Nixon Lonachan

I had a positive experience shopping at this shop. The wide selection of high-quality products, reasonable prices, and excellent customer service made for a great experience. I would definitely recommend this indian plaza shop to anyone in the area looking for a reliable and convenient place for shopping

  • Gordon Stewart

WOW. Amazing amount of goods, from religious items, wide range of cooking items, and size of items. Huge range of supermarket packets and jars, and unbelievably fresh vegetables and fruits, some that I have not seen before. The attendants are very helpful and knowledgeable. Great Prices.

  • Manoj Choudhury

It's good place for Indian ppl to shop who feel homesick or need items they are used to in India. Things to improve - Kindly put price labels on all the items. Deploy few more ppl to assist new customers or display overheads labels stating..what item is available in which row.

  • mehmet

Nice groceries and nice prices, however; I don't understand why it is so hard to put price label on every product. I get embarrassed to ask for every products' price in a row whenever I go there but, management looks still happy with that... Indian Plaza must overcome that.

  • Anju Chauhan

Nice and helpful staff..! The owner himself greet every customer to make one feel welcomed & special... Monthly new offers, value for money products, comparetively lowest prices .... Love to buy monthly groceries and other stuff from there... Excellent customer service!

  • Rocky P

Everything an Indian needs under one roof. The owner is really friendly too. The owner is often at the shop and greets you. If you need anything, he will personally go and find it for you. That's excellent customer service. The check out staff is really good too.
