Indian Tadka is probably the the name that will come up most often in Mandalay if you are talking about Indian food. (I had a very bad experience at the only other Indian restaurant in Mandalay - Aroma.) Indian Tadka is a great place if you like hot, spicy Indian food, especially North Indian food. In fact, you will not find any South Indian dishes on the menu. The portions are usually small and just about enough for one person. So sharing a dish might not be a great idea. The ambiance is good, though not spectacular. While ordering, in order to be on the safer side, make sure you mention that the chicken should be fresh and juicy. Some dishes that I have tried and will recommend: Palak Paneer, Tandoori Chicken, Balti Chciken, Butter Chicken.

Hi all, this is a fantastic restaurant, if you want to have really good, healthy and rich Indian dinner. We came here and were starving. The variety of tastes and spices was overwhelming and we all have a fantastic evening including the most amazing food. I can only recommend this place for anyone who wants to have a nice evening / eating time together with friends or family. The atmosphere is discretely exclusive and we immediately felt warmly welcomed by the staff. I was so impressed with the flavours and spices in my black and yellow lentil dish, i was excited about my mutton vindaloo. AGAIN, a beautiful layering of spices with generous chunks of sweet, succulent mutton that fell apart unlike the perfectly sturdy smaller amount of potatoes. IF you think its expensive, its because its quality food that demands lots of breads and side dishes. Truly a culinary memory worth the extra few K's. Still half of what we would have paid in Brooklyn, London or Shanghai.

I like Indian fare anyway, but the portions were very big and the Paneer was super delicious. So much food for 18000 kyat!

LOVE this place! Hands down the best Indian food in Myanmar. Healthy, tasty, great vegetarian options which is a good break in Myanmar where the food is primarily meat-based, and at the end of the meal you really feel like you've eaten good quality healthy food! The space is beautiful and they also deliver! The manager is very a sweet man from India. Overall a great feel to go here or order take-out from here (delivery charge extra), highly recommended!

Food is good. Not outstanding, but good. Be wary of their prices though. They try to add 10% service to the bill which they cannot do without stating so (ie. listing it on the menu). I find this a common tactic through SE Asia, make sure you refuse to pay this when the bill comes. Rice is also not included, 2,000k for plain rice. Pretty steep, 500k is more normal. Also - in regards to the service - it should be a 10% discount, as it was pretty average.

It was lovely place which serves authentic food with Indian flavors. Would recommend Chef special Paneer Masala.

There are few options for vegetarians foods.

The food is good, if it ever comes. They might forget your dish and you will go home hungry. They also add lots of extras to your bill, so you will end up spending way more than you think with tax, service charge, and charges for rice. There are much better indian options around Mandalay.

Standard Indian gravies and curries restaurant. The good thing about this place is that the chef is open to requests for customisation of the dishes and one is not restricted to eating excessively spiced and oily dishes. The service is good and fast .. One word of advice : if eating here, stick to ordering Indian dishes only .. they will mess up any other cuisine on their menu. Other than that fairly good place for lunch / dinner.

Goed Indiaas restaurant met geurige kleurrijke gerechten. Beetje vreemde fratsen met service en tax die niet in de prijzen verrekend is (er komt dus nog 15% bij). Maar daarvoor krijg je wel nette bediening (die niet zoals soms elders met hun duimen in je gerecht zitten) en redelijke porties. Voor de prijs zouden de porties allemaal net iets groter mogen. Maar toch één van de betere Indiase restaurants in Mandalay (denk ik)

The worst Indian restaurant I've been in Mandalay. Overrated and very pricey. 7500 Ks for 1 single tandoori lamb skewer, not tasty and very dry. No rice so you have to pay 2000 Ks more for plain rice. Also the place was almost empty but we waited almost 30minutes for the food. No happy with that THEY CHARGED ADDITIONAL 10% SERVICE AND 5% TAXES and the menu didn't say anything about that. We feel cheated!!

The food was nice and the staff are friendly. I got the okra and mushroom curry (pictured), which was very nice. Main problem was the prices, which were pretty high. I don't think there was any main dish on the menu for less than 5000 kyat. There are also limited options for vegans as most of the curries contain cream. If you are vegetarian, vegan, or on a budget, I'd highly recommend Marie Min instead.

Tried typical North Indian food "Chicken Tikka", "Dal Makhni", "Chicken Butter Masala" and "Keema Nan", wasn't happy with any of the dishes, Tikka was soft and juicy but taste was lacking something, dal was watery and far from taste as far as North India is from here, Butter Masala was sweet , Nan is nothing close to the fluffy goodness we are all use to, it was simply bad

They just opened again, the waiter told me. The food is ok, it's not my most favourite Indian food i ever eaten but it's also not bad. It's priced much higher then its value but of course men has always the choice to order or not so i am not complaining about it, just saying that in Mandalay there are better Indian Food restaurants with a lower price and more delicious menu.

I don't mind paying extra for good food, however, I felt like this place was not upfront with their prices. On top of a 6000 dish you need to order rice for 2000 and a service charge of 10 percent and a government tax of 5 percent is added. We canceled our order because we didn't feel like the prices were justified or communicated fairly

A place for authentic Indian food in the city. The prices are also not very expensive. Even if we compare the prices with similar restaurant in India serving such quality food, the prices will be more or less same. We have tried few dishes and everything tasted so good. Dahi ke kabab and makhmali kabab are really good veg starters.

Food was fairly good, but food proportion to price with additional 5 and 10% service charge made it expensive. Thank goodness for Visa... had lamb biryani, lamb was tender and moist and mango lassi was ok compared to Toronto Canada. Portions so small you can't share and we would get 2x the portion in toronto for similar price

Fuimos dos veces en nuestra corta estancia en Mandalay. Nos gustó mucho, tanto el servicio como la comida. Pedimos Tandoori Murgh Tikka (muy bueno), Tandoori Chicken, Matar Paneer (muy bueno) y Dal Makhni. Aunque no lo pongan como picante, es un nivel considerable de picante para europeos. Los Lassi estaban muy buenos.

The best indian food ive had in my life by far, and ive been in india for almost 2 years now. And such a lovely manager! Really enjoyed coming back over and over. Also, for 2000 kyat they deliver all over mandalay! They have restaurants in yangon too but this one is miles better. Cant recommend this enough.

As it is an Indian restaurant, I don't know how to spell and pronounce and how to judge nice or not. But, I know that good service, clean environment, and healthy foods are there. It is also a right choice for Indian vegetarian community. **Pls keep in mind that It is kinda expensive place.**

I went there with 18 people groups. The foods are so good. The service for big groups is a bit risky. If you want to treat such a group, you could choose set menu not from a'lacart. As my group have been there for 2 and half hours for lunch. But the foods there are super good.

Bad value for money: Additional 10% service tax and 5% government tax afterwards. Most meat curries are 6500 kyats+, rice is 2000 kyat and bread 1000 kyats+. In other words: your food will be expensive. The food tasted good but it is not worth this much money I think.

The longer we stayed in the restaurant the more we noticed hidden prices: Lassi: 3500, Rice: 2000 and and and. Additionally, you have to pay 10% for the service and another 5% tax. At the end your dish will be double the price. We did not stick around to find out.

Nice upscale restaurant serving delicious and authentic indian food. The staff are very polite and service is quick and efficient. However this us an expensive restaurant and they charge 10% service charge. A good choice for indian food if not on a budget.

Mixed feelings... Uttam, the Manager ensures that you feel like a king... The staff Wonderful... Some dishes are nice, while others forgettable... Well, this is the only place we can take our guests to, especially when they are craving for Indian food.

There are different branch of indian tadka in myanmar out of these one is here in Mandalay also .Very good place to eat indian food specially non veg little bit costly but if you are crazy for indian food then must visit

the food was nice and the portion size was okay. too expensive and on top of that they add 15% to the bill without any warning. funnily they had no wifi even though they give the facade of being a high end restaurant.

This indian restaurant was very close to the hotel where I stayed for two nights,the restaurant has a nice ambience,the food was good though the service was a bit slow,the rates on the menu are also reasonable

Great Indian food, best I have had in Myanmar The rooftop is cozy and well lit by the light adorned tree I highly recommend the samosas, and all the curries I have tried are yummy.

Wonderful food and the Blueberry lassie was excellent. Traits in my experience is thicker, but it tasted great and went well with the food. Garlic Naan was excellent.

Decent Indian, service very quick, restaurant clean. The food was tasty. Don’t remember the name but it was between masala and curry. The Nan bread was good!
