"I’ve been coming to the Indian Affair for at least 8 years if not more"
"Was disappointed with our food last night"
"Friday night take-away! My wife ordered Aloo Gobi as main meal, it came with 3 slices of potato and 3 offcuts of cauliflower"
"I had palak paneer, naan and butter chicken"
"The quantity of the food was very less in regards to what you pay for one single dish"
I’ve been coming to the Indian Affair for at least 8 years if not more. Why? Because the food is fabulous and quite authentic. The menu is what you’d expect but also a few more dishes that’ll surprise you. The portion sizes are good. Service is fast and staff are lovely. This night we had chicken korma and a vindaloo. Rice, raita and naan as well. Of course, I had to finish of with gulab jamun plus my friend had ice cream. You can dine inside or out. Takeaway is popular here (although is always popular). Indian Affair also does catering which I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing at a number of local events. This is a must try if you’re nearby. Chat to the staff - lovely people. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking out the front. Dietaries catered for.
Was disappointed with our food last night. And all that after a wait of almost 70 odd minutes. Veggies used were clearly frozen, no taste at all. Palak Paneer was bland. Dal Makhni was white and again Bland Naan and Roti were all like rubber. I have been ordering for last 5 years, however what we got last night was a total disappointment and not edible at all. Their delivery partner had messed up some deliveries and hence the wait, which is totally understandable, however the food was very bad. I was only trying to help a small business during tough times by not cooking at home and ordering from these guys. A total let down!! If the restaurant wants to check that the feedback is genuine, they can look under Angela's order. May not order again !!
Friday night take-away! My wife ordered Aloo Gobi as main meal, it came with 3 slices of potato and 3 offcuts of cauliflower. The rest of the meal was tasty but also very disappointed with their service. After bringing the issue to their attention, they initially just said they'll pass the feedback on. After explaining that such a small portion would not be enough as a main meal and we'd still now need to organise something substantial for my wifes dinner, they took my number and said they'll call back - surprise, surprise - no one called back. Pretty sad that business' treat customers in this way. We love Indian and now live in the area but we won't be back and will recommend against anyone going there.
I had palak paneer, naan and butter chicken. When I ate the food... I was blown away! It was way better than I expected. They even put the extra toasty heater on for me. I love this place. I even took gulab jamun home!

Kid-friendliness
It is very kid friendly, I know that since I am a kid.
The quantity of the food was very less in regards to what you pay for one single dish. The quality is also average and as a result the overall experience wasn't really up to the mark. When we were about to leave, the management asked us how we liked the food and we were honest with them. But the reply we got was like "This is how we serve", and the tone in that sentence was extremely rude. I think that if you're running a hospitality business, customer service should be your strength, which is not the case here.
Indian Affair used to be my go to Indian restaurant. I hadn't been in a while and so was pretty excited to try it tonight. I was shocked. The butter chicken was gluggy and unpalatablely sweet. The chicken itself was tough. The rogan josh had no flavour. The lamb was tasteless & tough. The meat cuts were of poor quality. I don't know if it's under new management, or if it was a poor night, but it was awful. The fact there wasn't one customer in the restaurant at 7.30pm was probably a warning I should have heeded.
Really enjoyed our meal there and we'll certainly be back. The service was efficient and friendly; we appreciated being asked if we wanted a table set up on the deck. We had the peas and mushrooms - an ideal veggo dish. And the Goan Goat curry on the bone which was fairly moist and spicy with a long depth of flavour. The yogurt raita and lime pickle came in generous serves. All up, the food was fresh, generous and full flavoured.

Tonight my partner and I arrived at Indian Affair a little early. We were seeing a movie at Doncaster and in a bit of a hurry. We bumped into the chef in the carpark awaiting the restaurant to open. He opened the restaurant early and graciously served us himself, preparing our food as soon as he opened the doors. The food was, as always, absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional. We always leave with so much gratitude but tonight just blew us away.
Absolutely terrific experience- top notch customer service, friendly staff and, most importantly, incredible food! Had dinner here a few times now, and there are just so many good dishes on the menu, so it's definitely a place that you need to re-visit to try as many of them as possible. My favourites have been the butter chicken (ask for extra spicy), sheekh kebab, green curry curry chicken and the palak paneer. Oh, you can never order enough naan either ;)
Incredible food, lovely staff and owners. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. Admittedly I have fairly simple taste, usually getting butter chicken. But my goodness, it is the best I have ever had. Any time I go away somewhere I find an Indian restaurant and have their butter chicken, but this is hands down my favourite! Support this local business, and try the butter chicken! You won't regret it

Thought we would try this local restaurant and ordered Vegetable Byrani and Butter Chicken and must say how disappointing. The rice tasted and looked like it was a week old and did not have that fresh smell or taste of the spices of a true Byrani The Butter Chicken was tasteless and the sauce ,was below average. Hope food improves for their sake and that of the customers.

I have had a take away this week where i had a samoosa starter followed by a beef madras and a keema naan bread. It was all delicious. So i came back with the my husband at the end of the week and we shared onion bhaji, pillau rice, butter chicken, lamb saag and keema naan. Not only are these owners an absolute delight but i can't rate the authenticity enough. And believe me i know a good Indian being from the Midlands in the UK!
Indian affair should be your one stop and only stop Indian restaurant. Food is fresh and tasty. Staff are friendly. Plenty of options if you have dietary requirements as well! Can recommend this place more. Check them out

The Indian Affair pudina chicken w. coriander is the best Indian dish I’ve had in 30 years of eating Indian food here in Australia and London. Absolutely amazing dish. Faultless and friendly service at this restaurant for both delivery and takeaway. Highly recommend the food and this business.

Authentic flavors out in the 'burbs. Great veggie meal with spicy vindaloo, daal, aloo ghobi and a range of naan and roti. Delicious condiments to complement the meal. Clearly an authentic family affair serving the community for a long time.

Amazing place I loved it. The food was amazing and the customer service was out of this planet. 10/10 recommend as this is the best Indian food place I’ve ever been too. Before I came to this place I didn’t really like Indian food to be honest but when I entered the place and i was greeted at the door way I knew I was in for a treat. Unbelievable food and I’ll definitely come again
Ive never understood why the most authentic restaurants like this aren’t the busiest. They have a 3 course meal deal from Mon-Wed. Get it. Honestly. I’m a big fan of Indian restaurants, and in all my years, this place is by far the best. The couple that owns it value traditional authenticity. Yum!

Special family dinner last night during lockdown. Went to collect, got a message, perfectly on time. Everything was just delicious. Ours was a large order, everything perfect hot and beautifully cooked. Would not hesitate to order again. Was some of the best indian we have eaten. Apparently under new management, this is better than it has ever been.
Worst Indian food ever, everything we ordered was not even prepared and cooked at the restaurant. It's all packaged food you buy from the Indian grocery stores in packets. Paid $80 for the food I could have bought from Indian grocery store for $15 and heated it up myself. Disgrace to the restaurant for serving that terrible food.
Can easily say that this is THE BEST Indian food I have ever had. Moved away from warrandyte years ago, but I still drive out just for the food from this place! Would highly recommend the butter chicken, aloo tikki and their biryani rice! But everything is good from here, you can't go wrong!!
Absolutely delicious vegan menu. Lovely staff and chilled out atmosphere. Definitely coming back next time we’re in Warrandyte.

The quality of the produce (chicken and lamb) was very good however, as other reviews have highlighted the sauces and gravy are unusual. The butter chicken sauce was quite sweet and the rogan josh didn't have much depth of flavour. The garlic naan was very good.
I did a takeaway order and it was absolutely delicious. I had the lamb saag. It was my first time at this restaurant and I will definitely be back

Friend recommended their vindaloo as it was apparently hot... He was right. Was exquisitely hot, well flavoured and the meat was tender. Hard to find another Indian restaurant that can make a vindaloo to my liking. Highly recommend.

Delivery never arrives, despite promises. Would be nice if there was honesty about delivery time. Really annoying to wait nearly two hours for food that is down the road. The promise was one hour. Annoying.
Authentic food, great service and the restaurant is at a nice cozy spot to enjoy a quiet dinner.

Tonight I ordered a butter chicken and onion balls and also garlic nan bread, it was absolutely beautiful, great flavours, quick service, I’ll definitely be back, Big John …
The service is discrimatory and disgusting. REFUSED entry to person in wheel chair stating that the chair takes up to much room and the restaurant will loss money!! Outrageous …
Excellent service and the food was fantastic. A great restaurant local to Warrandyte that the whole family can enjoy. Go the tandoori meat platter I say or the many vegetarian offers.
Beautiful Indian. Butter chicken one of the best I've had. Korma lamb has great flavour. Well cooked rice. Soft fluffy naan. Will visit here every time I'm in Warrandyte with family.
Ordered larger quantities of food from Indian Affair for a private event. Food was delicious and service was on time and reliable. Indochinese was particularly delicious!
Amazing food and fantastic service. Would definitely recommend you pay them a visit. The Naan and Malai Kofta in particular were one of the best I’ve had in Melbourne!
Here on a trip from Auckland - reluctantly decided to try Indian and absolutely loved the Chicken Karahi and Dal Makhani - now under new management- highly recommend -
Incredible food (authentic Northern Indian cuisine), reasonable prices. Ticks all our boxes. Suitable for family meals, friends gatherings. Not so for romantic dates.

Sensational food. The best Indian I’ve had in years. The service was impeccable. Particular kudos for the beef dishes. Beef always so tender and delicious. Thankyou.

Had the family set meal takeaway for 4 yesterday. Delicious, and good value. Will definitely be buying from here again.
Awesome food, delivered on time and hot. Exactly what I ordered, with good quantity and some extra complimentary stuff.
Ordered signature dish under vegetarian menu... Very nice Stuffed naan were served very hot and fluffy …
Loved the tandoori prawns here. Absolutely fantastic done by Chef. Besr ever we have ever tasted in Melbourne
Excellent food and very hospitable service. Tandoori chicken and Butter chicken are my favorites here!
Was Ok but below average. Beef was tough and chewy, had to ask for sauce to go with my Hickey tikka.
Great Indian food. Our weekly local in Warrandyte. Great food and BYO is handy. Great people too.
The food is delicious and comfortably feeds the whole family every time I go here.
Uber delibery available on app but actually closed 10am on Saturday. What a joke.
Horrible food. Butter chicken and paneer makhani were so sweet. Never again!
Awesome food... Had a great time. Chocolate naan is definitely worth a try.
