Beautiful historic building! Artistic stained glass windows in the Grand Hall. Giant hand painted murals above doorways. Amazing Children's Reading Center, an Indiana Authors Room and a Genealogy Dept that rivals all others! If you've not been to the State Library, it's a must visit!
What a great library. Anything and everything Indiana can be learned here. Great location to other areas of interest. If you find the main downtown library to be a little overwhelming, you may like the quaintness of this one. Good for group study and research.
I bought a couple bicentennial coins last week at the Nook, toured the genealogy area, and picked up some free books then and today. Eric and Angie we both very kind and helpful. I plan to return to do some family tree research sometime soon.
Great place for learning about history, science, art, law, food, ... etc...

Free to come in and look through the library. The shelves were lined with books and the library was even hosting a poetry reading.
Such a beautiful building. This place smells amazing with all the old books inside. It was mostly empty and quiet.
Beautiful historic library. Also, great room on first floor to work remotely and even make quiet calls
Native flower garden at front is one of my favorites in the city.
