"The Nora Branch Library is an important part of our community"
"I've been going here for many years and they have an amazing staff! If they don't have what your looking for they will have it shipped over from another library"
I am warning everyone DO NOT I repeat DO NOT go to Nora Library. The new library at Michigan Road is better. They're nicer at the front desk there and more helpful. Nora library jips you in fines. Nora library also does not work with people if you lose a book or movie by accident instead they'll send you threatening letters in the mail and steal your money. And if that isn't the worst of it they send you to debt collection agency over a minor fee. They won't give you a chance to pay your fines so you've got to fix your credit because they just have to have their $35.50 right now. So whoever is reading this by all means do not go to Nora library they will jip you in your fines they will steal your money and lie thru their teeth on this matter. Your best bet is to go to the new Michigan Road Library.
I see a lot of people mentioning the lack of books on site, but their stock is rotated and traded between each library in their system. If another library has the book, go pick it up and drop it off at the library closest to you. The staff was friendly enough, but their punishments for not returning books seemed excessively severe. When I got my card, they told me that accruing 25+ dollars in debt means you get referred to a tac agency. A little silly for books, Imo.
Great branch. The only issues i have had was they don't clean the computers after use and I returned a cd to check it in and borrow again ( no other holds) but when I gave it to the lady, she checked it in, then told me I couldn't have it because it needed to be quarantined. But it's coming right back to ME. Didn't make a bit of sense. Miscommunication on her part. Other than that, I like it!
The Nora Branch Library is an important part of our community. In addition to a comprehensive selection of books, DVD's, CD's, and research opportunities there is free computer access and low cost printing. The staff is helpful and very patient. Shushing is a thing of the past in neighborhood libraries. Now there are babies, teenagers, and adults of all ages. As there should be.
I've been going here for many years and they have an amazing staff! If they don't have what your looking for they will have it shipped over from another library. When I was behind on my fees they gave me a affordable payment plan and allowed me to continue checking out. In the last 22 years I've never had a bad experience here! Highly recommend this library!
I love this location I get all of my mystery books at this location along with my sons reading material. In the summer time we sign up for the reading program. The staff is nice polite and professional the establishment is always clean. I love the children’s area definitely recommend people to check it out and the kids will enjoy …
The staff at this location is extremely nice and the location is convenient. There's not a lot of traffic in and out which is a plus but this library is pretty small. They do not have an African American writer's section as most libraries in Chicago has which was shocking to me but this library serves its purpose.
I am not great with computers and was very stressed about printing a report. I received help from 2 amazing employees. To say they went above and beyond is an understatement!!!! Thanks to Theresa (sorry if I misspelled) and her coworker. I should have written down both of their names...
This is the crummiest library I've ever been to. My library in the central Kansas town of 1,000 people where I'm from has a better selection than this. And their Hoopla doesn't have books?! What's the point?! Big for this place. …
I've had a decent experience everytime I've been here. It's kind of hard to get a 5 year old to pick out a book when there is so little display room. Over the past year their computer and programming section has come to be very minimal.
This library is so well-organized and maintained. Everything is current (flyers, reading challenges, events) and the staff are helpful and engaging. This is an example of what a good neighborhood library should "feel" and look like.
We are extremely lucky to have the Nora branch library. Excellent location for those living north and wanting to avoid downtown. Plus, it's cute and handy, just like the old days! Keep it going forever, please! :-)
We really enjoy the Indy Public Library system. Nora is our branch. Great selection of books, audio, video, events - summer time has a lot of summer programs - reading, movies, animal visits - for kids.
I love it there as a huge reader myself. I often go to the library and it's also not big on the shushing rule! I recommend this place to ANY reader! The staff here is super friendly and wonderful!
I absolutely love love love going to the Nora library. The ladies are awesome every time I come in there. It's always clean and peaceful and the ladies are very helpful when I come in.
A pretty small library, not much seating, not many places to plug in. Wifi is kind of slow. If you really need somewhere to read a book / grab some wifi then this will do the trick!
It's always a great experience at the library. With amazing resources available to the public, our libraries are a vital resource for our communities.
We are glad that our local library has finally open, it was a great experience and everyone was happy to see each other.
Wonderful Nora community library, part of the Indianapolis Public Library system, conveniently located on 86th Street.
One of my favorite library branches! They had tons of seeds left today which is such an awesome program …
My favorite branch. Staff is always courteous and the location is convenient near Nora Plaza.
This library has a lot of books, especially YA/tweens. A little dark, though.
Great staff. You can get any book through the Marion county system. Awesome
Great place to go. They have a place for kids free wifi printers etc.
One of the best on-line resources in the land!! Great staff too.
Great place. Computer set-up is very efficient and helpful.
People helpful. Some tax materials avail for pick up.
Always find help, and the books I want. Thank you!
