I am absolutely in love with Indigo and could not recommend it more highly! Every time I shop there, I am struck by the fantastic atmosphere and the sheer variety of amazing products they offer. One of my favourite things about Indigo is their great selection of books. I could spend hours perusing their shelves, and I always leave with a new addition to my library. But what really sets Indigo apart for me is their incredible selection of agendas and notebooks. From classic to quirky, they have such a huge variety to choose from, and I always find the perfect one to suit my needs. The staff at Indigo are also wonderful, always welcoming and helpful whenever I need assistance. It's clear that they are passionate about books and helping their customers find exactly what they are looking for. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about Indigo. It is always a pleasure to shop there, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic bookstore and stationery store all in one.
Indigo never fails to be a comfort place. You are greeted with the smell of books and a cold blast of air when you walk in. In front of you, there are clearance tables, books you have probably seen on platforms like TikTok, and others. There is an escalator(WOW!) that brings you to the second level where more books await you. There are shelves of Sci-Fi, Romance, Cooking and Cuisine. As always, there is a shelf dedicated to Jellycat toys(a personal favorite of mine). There is also a space to try out boardgames and challenge your friends to a game of chess. Once you find what you are looking for upstairs, you can head downstairs again. There are the cutest mugs I have ever seen, accompained by cookware and other home necessities. My wishlist has never been so long. I miss you already, Indigo!
Young st. location checked and told me Eaton center location had the two children's book I need were there. Got to there and asked for the two book the lady looked for them and said she didn't have them. I told her I was referred here by the other location that also checked if the books were in stock. She then asked me for the item number, I didn't have it so I googled the books and showed her. She said they should be in the kids section and took me over. The shelves were in a state of disarray. We both looked and she said they should be here but I am not finding it I looked a little longer and found one of the two books. The children's section was in a horrible state. Will only go back if I have no other choice.
I am a huge book lover, and this shop is one of my personal Top-10 in the world. I would literally be happy to spend 24 hours here. On the first floor you will find a wonderful selection of stationary, office and home supplies. The second floor is magic. Huge selection of books, beautifully lined up and categorized. Computers available to help you find the books you need with easy and self-explanatory navigation. The prices are usual. You guys in the English-speaking world are lucky to have all books priced similarly everywhere and have that precious price tag printed for you on the book cover itself. Additionally, there are deals with 20/30/40% discounts, as well as some signed copies available. Love Indigo!
The time was right to see what had changed at Indigo. There were a few changes to the location of some categories. Magazines are in the second floor instead of the first floor and the space on the 1st floor is being used for home and office non book merchandise. It was fun exploring the first floor, and that lead me to finding two of the 5 books I purchased. Then I proceeded upstairs to find what I went for. I wanted some current easy to hear and enjoy fiction books. Inspiration from other authors for a budding unsure wannabe author. It was a great haul. I can change my style while being inspired. Glad Indigo continues to have lots of physical books!
Return to the tactile experience of reading, through a walk in the sections featuring new technology. Return to vinyl with records or pick up a kobo reader. It’s as easy as having access to books at your fingertips. For those who value the freedom to peruse recent best sellers, come into the Eaton Centre Indigo to renew your awareness of up to date fictions, gifts and much more. I love the strategy and family games section. I didn’t expect to find such a variety of home furnishings and gifts. Valentine’s Day is next to the top cookbooks if that’s what you are looking for?
Staff will lie to your face about discounts to get you checked out faster. I bought slippers that were already marked down and mentioned how the pair I wanted had a stain on them and asked if I could get a discount for this, and the staff lied and said they’d give me $15 off for it (the $15 off was the existing markdown). The physical location has a wide selection and a lot of space to take time to pick your selections, but it’s very busy so staff don’t care and don’t see you as a person, just another order to fulfill quickly.
Always has a good selection of books to choose from, and it usually has in stock what I'm looking for. The cashiers are very pleasant, and super helpful and patient as I always go in there with a ton of questions. The floor personnel are also very helpful to help find what I'm looking for from checking what they have in stock on their little hand-held devices to knowing which section an author book is in when they have a hyphenated last name, lol! This is my go to location.
I don't shop here as much as I want... Still amazing book store but sadly few young people are reading books and we started losing elderly people who are the last of the book reading generation... The remainder have poor eyesight and memory so there's not much hope left in these types of retail stores. Tree huggers are also trying to save our forests so the future is grim for bookstores in general. Whatever is left standing will likely be premium products
Spanning 2 floors in Eaton Centre, this location has a lot of products to look for and great gift ideas for all times of the year! Downstairs has a lot of décor and gift ideas while the technology and novels are located upstairs along with the American Girl and kids sections. The Starbucks in this location is always busy. Tip: Just outside of the American Girl section, there is a smaller set of bathrooms on this floor that is usually empty.
Giant sized bookstore that offer much more than just books. They have books spread over two floors as well as computers all around that let you browse their inventory. And the staff is equally helpful if you wanna keep your fingers away from machines. In addition, there's gift section, a Starbucks, magazines, and even some bags and accessories. P.s. They had a buy 2 get 3rd graphic novel / Manga free which was a huge hit for a nerd like me.
The store is an amazing place to be for booklovers and people looking for interesting gifts. I will return for more book purchases but for my first time at Indigo, I picked up a French visual dictionary and a laptop sleeve for my 16" LG Gram. The person at the billing counter was super helpful and gave me enough details about the rewards and a return (which I won't be doing because the sleeve is perfect). Great experience!
I can't go to the Eaton Centre without dropping by Indigo. It's this gorgeous, expansive, open store with books galore. The kids section is great to visit with my toddler. We can spend a good 20 minutes just browsing the toys and board books. I've also been around Christmas time. The lines look massive but they zip by fast. You can get books, cookware, cute Christmas pajamas, and wrapping paper all in one stop.
One of the best place for your kids to spend in Eaton centre, learning, studying, enjoying and to give you more time to do your shopping too. The store was very big with many verity of products with high quality, the have American Girl section which the best place for all the girls (doesn’t matter the age) can spend the whole day there. Many books and clothes and gifts Very high recommend place
Varied selection of goods beyond just books and a large childrens section with Lego available for sale with an area you can play and create. Escalator was out of commission at the time of my visit as part of upgrades been done across the mall. Self look up stations were out of order due to tragedy of the commons (people have torn the keys out of the board integrated into the desk)
I usually hop in the Eaton Center Indigo to take a quick break from the rest of the mall, though it can still be pretty busy in here. Some book sections can get quite messy, and the checkout line usually has several to over a dozen people in it. The Starbucks that was here is still somehow not replaced with another café yet. Oh the humanity.
Was helped buy an associate to do an on line order at the cash it was no problem the day before at the another indigo close to my home just brushed off but the eaton store was great made sure everything was OK and sent the order off with no problem I have gone to this store an 2 others all have been happy to help thanks eatons location
May 2022 4★ This large indigo store is centrally located right in the heart of downtown. With two fairly large floors, there's lots of books and merchandise. Kids area, baby area, Lego, magazines, manga amongst other things around the house. Lots of staff to assist you. Nicely laid out. Elevator accessible. Handicap accessible.
Had a bad experience due to staff completely unaware of what customer service indigo performs with online transactions. Very unfortunate if it's simply lack of training but his attitude overall was very rude to top it off. I hope I won't have to deal with this staff again as I previously did not have such rude staff encounters
Indigo is operating on razor thin ice and it shows - especially since this has been a notable location for ages. If you order pick up in store, be warned that you’re going to have to wait to be helped for a while, not because there’s no one there but because it seems like the system is difficult for employees to manage.
My preferred go-to location for Indigo/Chapters. I usually stop by to check out the manga and light novels section to see if there is anything they catches my eye. I read quite a bit so this is a place I like. For those who don't like to read or like home decor things and nicknacks, this place won't do much for you.
It's hard for a brick-and-mortar bookstore to exist so I can understand that they are selling more of other things than books, but sad they have to do that. It's taking up practically the whole bottom floor. I miss the old days how the bookstores used to be but you can't fight technology and online stores. …
"Thank you Bex a Highly professional and exceptionally efficient! She demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence. I was very happy after she went above and beyond to find the way for me to be happy with my purchase, Love my beautiful golden Christmas tree We need more people like you
Plan to spend a couple of hours to exploring the store, because you definitely won't want to leave once you're among the aisles and aisles of books. Their Teen/Young Adult section is well stocked, even with latest releases. I was able to find my friend's book which had released mere days before.
Wonderful store. The right place if you are looking for a gift. There is a lego table for children at the children's area. There are chess boards at the gameboards area. There is plenty of space to explore the books and objects at leisure. The membership card is a good investment.
Amazing store, Im a manga fan and the manga section was awesome. Should add an entrance/exit upstairs. There was an escalator up but not down which screwed me since I had a stroller. Went up to realize the only way down was an elevator with a massive line. Otherwise I loved it.
Nice bookstore with lots of options. Store planning makes it easier to discover options depending on different genres and other criteria. Manga section is kind of small though. Check online before heading there, they don't have all times, even for mainstream series.
Eaton is a huge mall, I spent few hours there. I bought a pair of sandals from Sketchers. What fascinated me was Indigo Books store. It's layout, colour scheme, n variety of books is amazing. It includes stationary items n baby items too..... …
This is a great place to kill time and shop for books and stuff. There is immense variety, but the ambience is always killed by some of the other homeless person who is always there in the store and the store doesn't do anything to keep them out.
Me and my girlfriend were looking for a good book to read and we were helped by Paul. He was extremely helpful and really made an effort to help us find a good book to read. His service made our experience really fun and amazing. Thanks Paul!!
Had a wonderful experience here. I couldn't find a book online, so came here to place a special order - which I got in about a week. The person who took my special order was very helpful. The pick up process was quick and easy too.
Online purchase and return with Indigo has been the worst experience for me. I think Indigo should stop doing e-commerce. If you can't handle online purchases, delivery, and return then I don't see a reason to have an online shop.
Extensive list of books, magazines, toys and many other options for gifts. Please provide a wider space between the books on the wall and the shelves on the corridor, it's hard to go through the titles without bumping with others.
Fine, Positives: Well stocked Fairly clean (not cluttered) Well staffed Did not wait long to purchase. Negatives : Escalator was out of service so used the spiral staircase. The north entrance looks to be permanently gated locked.
This store is beautiful! I'm from the US so we have our share of bookstores but I fell in love with Indigo! We only had limited time to peruse and I exercised great restraint in not growing my TBR (to be read) pile exponentially!
If you are person who looks to have store vibe ,this is the one it has lots of stationary items ,I liked the cup collection it's pretty cool, and 3D birthday cards are the best I felt .they do carry story books fr kids as well.
The best indigo by far, I love love love coming here! It's always super busy though so be prepared for a long line uo at the cash. Nonetheless, they are well staffed, and It's always easy to get assistance when you need it
Great place to go shopping, Hollister has good collection for winters as well as Zara. Apple outlet has been great. Sports check is bit crowded. Adidas had new and trendy collection.. All brands are nice n upkept
Called and they picked it up and said nothing and then hung it up after 10 seconds. Tried again and they did the same thing. This happend on July 20, 2023 at 3:35. What kind of service is this? That’s so rude!
The Santa Experience felt it was pushed away to a corner. The people were great but he should have been in the middle of the mall. For the Eaton Center it's should have been the biggest thing in Toronto.
A neat place to stock up on houseware, stationary and toys. The manga section needs more love, but nonetheless an enjoyable experience to look around. They had PJs in a bag. Those were interesting.
Large spacious location of books, magazines novelty items spread out over 2 floors. Busy area, good place to pass some time. Everything is really spread out though so have fun looking for things.
Store for book lovers. There are so many different Christmas cards and little things to make your day. Plenty ideas for kids, family, and friends Christmas gifts. You must visit this store.
Good store. It has a big kids area, with kids books and boars games, and other kid stuff. There is a huge library of books on the second floor, and a lot of other stuff on the first floor.
Massive book store with great selection. Mostly mainstream selections, but great nonetheless. Great collection of graphic novels and Manga. Their Sci Fi section was lacking a little.
This is a great book store. If you cannot find the book you are looking for, simply order it online. You can pick it up at this store. This store also has some great home gift items.
Nice clothing mall. Not much in other type of merchandise. Great fun in the centre to get everyone in the holiday spirit. Was very enjoyable time to go see Santa. Indoor snow!!!
It's one of my favorite places to go, by the way I went to check la senza, but they have closed down the previous location as they will open new in August at second floor …
Decent selection of books for all ages and all interests. Well organized. Staff are hit and miss as far as helpfulness. Lots of non reading items. Home nick-nack stuff galore.
Very organized and comfortable place to stay, search and read something. The prices are good as well. There is a Starbucks on second floor, kobo readers, gifts, mugs, bags...
I always loved the multi story indigos and chapters. They took the one in Edmonton away so this was a fun part of my visit. As always indigo you are an awesome bookstore.
Great large size store with tons of things to get. Aside from the obvious selection of books, there are toys, funny useful gadgets, planners/stationary items, snacks.
Nice bookstore, except that it can be hard to find some books without the search computer or have to ask CSR. Overall, helpful staff and nice discounts here and there.
Absolutely huge. Has a large lego section on the second floor. Board games, stationary, and home decor as well as its extensive book selection. Very kid friendly.
Cozy place for the bookworm. They alr replaced some wood chairs with the armchair, but for me, I miss the chess set they put on the table so much …
A beautiful place for a book lover, huge collection of fiction, nonfiction, biographies, manga and much more to explore. The best part is the staff's pick.
It's where the books live. I love any and all Indigo stores, but this one is perfectly fine, you should go there, buy some books it will make you happy.
The best bookstore. So many awesome options for classic and contemporary reads for all ages and genres. There are also reading nooks. A fantastic store.
Well laid out book store Too many people inside not easy to look around. Check out line was too long. Need to open more than one cash during busy times
Compared to other branches, this one is very big and has a lot of stuff besides books like Legos, mugs, American girls' dolls, and school supplies.
Great shopping, as usual, was shocked at how much smaller the store got. Stop shrinking the book section for pajamas it is a book store. …
Nicely sorted ailes, books are easy to find, lots of diversity in terms of genres, great that you can hang out up stairs too and read.
Great place but some of the items are put in different locations when compared to other stores and could use the 2 floor space better
Always a good experience coming to this store, is bigger , more choices and options available. The staff are friendly and helpful.
There were a lot of people, but they were planting very quickly. They checked my savings card even though I wasn't sure I had one.
Great place to hangout on weekends…got all the major brands and very lively on the weekends…also the exit goes straight to dundas
Very well organized. Didn't have the book I was looking for but was happy to look around nonetheless. Very wheelchair accessible
Clean mall, alot of variety for stores. I wish finding washrooms were easier . It felt like there were only 2 the entire mall
Large selection of books and toys. Great place to spend time with family, helpful staffs are there to help you all the time.
It's good for everyday shopping..but there are few high end brands that aren't there..it will be easier if they get them too
Beautiful place, smorgashboard of fashion shops, eatery, grocery, pharmacy, apple store and a mecca of tourists like me
Busy place but great collection. In addition, don't expect help from associates working there. They are so understaffed
Christina was very helpful and making my kid happy and finding the last copy of this book that she really wanted.
Great selection and presentation of books and manga series. Home decor items are on more expensive side. …
Love this place. Spacious, clean, any book you want and need is here. Only wish a coffee area was back!!
Books, magazine, stationery and gifts . I like this location because it’s spacious and central. …
Great place to get books but very crowded so you can't sit and read like in other book stores.
Nice place with a cozy atmosphere, but prices sometimes... Too much for a piece of paper.
I enjoy the sweet and fun environment. Great place for gift ideas. A little pricey.
Good collection of Books and Christmas stuff. Always love going to Indigo stores
Tons of goods in this place . Also good selection of books . Helpful staff ..
I'm in there every 2 weeks, great selections for gifts and Children's section
Decent selection of things like books, gifts, baby/children's items etc.
Expansive manga and fantasy book section. Week organized store layout.
There are much better independent book stores to support! …
Great store! Lots of interesting things, including Legos!
